Quick (under ~60 pages), dark (MMC is a deaf hitchhiker that takes the couple who offered him a ride hostage), dirty (rough smut, dom-leaning tendencies MMC), taboo (FMC and MMC are biological siblings).

For those interested in the explanation of the "couple" he takes hostage: It is the FMC and her fiancé, who is also abusive to her, but she can't see a way out for herself. She doesn't love him at all, is basically with him for convenience or no other better options, ever since "losing" her brother, her protector. The hitchhiker ends up being her brother. Both are not celibate after "losing" each other when they were younger, but are it for each other now.

I like the things that happened in the story, but felt like there needed to be a bit more background. And it felt VERY similar to another book that I've ready by this author, basically just name, location and occupation changes. Since the tropes are ones that I love, I'll probably keep coming back for more, but at some point, I will be hoping for some variety here.

This was a bit of quickie fun! Great read and really enjoying Rivenhall's books! I've had this for awhile and not sure why I waited so long to read it! Quick, spicy and very taboo!!!

Maire is in engaged to an abusive man (Theo) who is a pastor and on the outside appears to be the perfect mate. Theo decides to pick up a hitchhiker one rainy night and it is a deaf man who's identity becomes clear as they drive.

Another incest, taboo book by this author. Forgot to rate back in March.

Marie's in an abusive marriage and doesn't see a way to escape so she accepts her fate. She's lost her brother years ago as teens and is just sleepwalking through life. She and her husband are out driving at night when they pick up a hitch hiker and guess who it is. Their scenes was hot and I liked the idea of deaf MMC. Loved seeing the abusive asshole get got. Super short read.

Es confuso la verdad.
El plot no me lo esperaba, me decepcionó, yo esperaba un viejo amor de la infancia.
Pero no, tenia que ser el hermano.
Yo dije, nunca más leo uno de esto, y acá estoy. Tengo que decir en mi defensa que yo entendí lo de taboo como otra cosa, no esto.
Y que fuera mudo me recordó a "La voz de Archer" estoy llorando mientras escribo.

i loved this!!! i didn't give the last star only because like in the other author books the MCC didn't wait for each others :( it would've been amazing in all the sick way if they did.
Well in this case i kind of get why . But it bothers me anyway xD
