Learn how to repurpose items and apply the power of color to make your practice more affordable. You’ll also discover how to use traditionally non-magical items, such as takeout menus, shoes, and asphalt. With inspiration from folklore around the world, this book will help you connect with every part of your space, turning your home into a true sanctuary.
Every room, every facet of the home is covered in this holistically witchy book. From chimney to front porch, garden to garage, Wigington provides spells and rituals for every space in the home. I have several tabs in the book for rituals I’ll do in my own home.
The format of this book was very approachable and to-the-point: exercises and journal prompts/reflection questions interspersed for each specific topic. I liked the concise sections and practical nature of this book.
If you’re ready to hit the ground running with home rituals, this is the book you’ve been waiting for.
I recommend exploring other books on the topic, as they delve into the concept of a "witchy home" with more depth, magic, and integrity. This particular book feels like a chaotic collection of spells and altars for every room, showcasing the author's unique experiences, which may not resonate with everyone.
At the beginning of your practice and dont know where to begin? Or maybe experienced and looking for a refresher? This is a book written with alot of knowledge about alot of different topics. Patti Wigington shares all these topics as they relate to the Home. Because of the wide range of topics, she does not go into each one but that's why it is a starting point or refresher.
I really enjoyed this book. It’s very approachable and practical. I tabbed quite a few things that I want to try adding into my magical practice. It definitely got my creative juices flowing! I’m glad I picked it up!
Very easy to follow, with some new ideas I haven't seen in books pertaining to home magic. An interesting read that I will keep on my shelf and reference in the future
