I was sick of being the girl who ran so this time I stayed. For them. Hardin and Kaleb.
But now, thanks to Aodhan, there’s a target on my back.
I thought I could trust him, but he threw me to the wolves. It doesn’t matter what he’s done to try to fix it; I should hate him. I should…but I can’t.
Until those closest to me are hurt and blood starts to spill in the streets.
That’s when I know what I have to do.
It’s time to summon a version of Becca Hart that can be just as ruthless as her enemies. If I can’t, I don’t think any of us will make it out alive.
Ruthless Reigncompletes the Kings of Kilborn Univeristy duet. It is a dark romance where the main character doesn't have to choose between love interests.
This series contains content that may be triggering to some readers, please read responsibly.
Elena lives in Canada with her husband, daughter, and their Siberian cat overlords. She writes dark, why-choose romances full of feisty heroines, unforgettable heroes, and their kindle-melting chemistry.
When she comes out of her writing cave, she can be found binge-watching true-crime shows, obsessively rearranging her bookshelves, or chasing the sun around the globe.
If you went back for a reread (or have a really top memory!) you will know that Aodhan left a massive target on her back where his da is concerned, even though you know he didn't want to....
I'm not to sure what I can say?! Hardin and Kaleb are two guys who are just so damn yum! The carefree fun and friendly one and then the one who scowls, oozes s3x appeal alongside "I'll k1|| you if you breath in my direction" vibes!! Then we have Aodhan, the Irish outsider. The one who is on the wrong side - he may be a son but he doesn't want to be!
Ava Jade and her Crows make some appearances which I absolutely loved - I adore that girl! Becca 2.0 deserves an easy life but that is so not what she gets!
There's a lot of action, some surprises, lots of violence and unaliving, and steam! Lots of steam 😏
Definitely recommend.
*I voluntarily received an arc and this is my honest review 4.5stars
I've been waiting for the conclusion to Becca's story for about a year now and OMG WAS IT WORTH THE WAIT. This book hooked me right from the start and straight til the end. It was spicy, action packed and filled with characters that stole my heart.
Of course I adored Becca, Hardin, Kaleb and Aodhan (oh yes, Aodhan joins the mix and it's a freaking delight) but this story is also super special because of its side characters. Damien and Sloane for starters. I need that prequel, like tomorrow. Sloane is such a baddy and I want to see her in her prime so bad. And then we had the cameo from Ava Jade and her Crows and every showing was spectacular. I really loved everyone in this book so much.
Back to Becks and her boys... Incredible. Possessive. Sweet (in their own way...) and so stinking hot. The poly scenes were out of this world and the only thing missing was an Aodhan and Becca solo scene (cue tears 😭). I loved her and these boys so much and I kinda wish this wasn't a duet... But it was amazing as is, so I guess I'll just have to dive back in soon.
This was my first series from Elena and it absolutely won't be the last. Really looking forward to more, especially from this world.
ARC Review of Ruthless Reign by Elena Lawson🗡️🏁🔫💪🏼💘🇮🇪🇺🇸🚗📚☕️
I am completely obsessed with this series and Becca’s newfound family, this was such a great book, it was filled with non-stop action that had me at the edge of my seat up until the very end.
I loved getting to see Becca become this badass strong woman the Becca 2.0 that she always wanted to become. It was fantastic to watch her really come into herself next to her men. I liked the way her different relationships with her men evolved over the story, more in this second book than the first one, I found this book such a beautiful ending to Becca’s story and how it all tied down in the end.🥹💘

‼️Book available Today on Amazon and Kindle Unlimited, so go read it asap, cause I'm already ecstatic for everyone to read it and love it as much as I did‼️
This is the end of Becca's story, but I am not read to leave them! Ruthless Reign hits the ground running and doesn't stop until the end. It's action packed, relationships grow, and there is some loss, but it's all ok in the end. I honestly couldn't see where this one was going, how everything would come together, but it did.
I am going to miss these characters, like the crows, but if we get more in this world, maybe we will see some glimpses of Becca like we did with AJ.
While I am happy we finally got the second half of the duet, I found I was no longer as invested in the characters or story as I was in the first book. This could very well have been an elapsed time thing - my goldfish brain needed some reminding of all that happened in book one. All the initial character development. I think the reading experience would be improved through a binge-read.
This book gave me anxiety in the best way! I couldn't put it down and those last chapters had me Hooked! The action was non stop. The surprises even more. It was nice to see Becca grow into her own and the guys turn a little softer for her. This was a nice wrap to the story with some sad losses and villains getting their deserved ending.
The fight between the saints and the sons continue. Eventually, Becca made the realization that Aodhan was an O’Sullivan and then further more that he was Seamus’ son. She didn’t tell Hardin or Kaleb because she was afraid of what they’d do. Hardin and Kaleb had a meet with the Kent’s to bring them on board, but while they were there, three sons showed up. Becca warned them in time and the guys managed to kill one and take the other, but the third got away. The third was Aodhan. He knew he’d have to lie to his father or he’d go after Becca so he covered saying the two guys were traitors and he killed them, and then did a gas leak at the pub killing the Kents. Becca found out what he had done and that he was trying to protect her, but she didn’t tell the guys. The Saints had their first official meet with the Sons. Kaleb and Hardin left her with the crows. Aodhan knew something was up because normally he was left out of meets so as to be invisible, and now Seamus wanted Aodhan at the meet. He texted Becca telling her something was up, but Hardin and Kaleb had already left for the meet so she didn’t tell them. At the meet, the money was somehow short and Seamus ordered Aodhan to shoot and kill Kaleb. Aodhan indicated silently to Kaleb to hold still and then shot him. Seeing Aodhan and hearing his name, Hardin knew that Becca had known and not said anything and now Kaleb had been shot and was dying. Becca stole the Crows car and drove to Aodhan’s house and beat him with a tire arm, where he told her he never misses indicating that he purposely missed Kaleb’s heart. Instead of going to the hospital because she knew Hardin wouldn’t want to see her, she went to her apartment where Seamus was waiting for her. He wanted to know about the Kent’s and why his son missed killing Kaleb. She said she didn’t know, and he stabbed her in the leg and sliced her face. Toby showed up at the house and Seamus killed him. Hardin not able to get in touch with either her or Toby drove to her apartment and found her tied to a chair and hurt. Kaleb survived. They brought Aodhan into the fold as they realized his dad was going to kill him for betraying them. Aodhan helped them against his father. There is a final shootout and in the end Becca stabs and kills Seamus. The three guys and Becca get there HEA.

Ruthless Reign is full of brutally dark action as the Saints are confronted with a new dangerous foe. Used to be the top dogs they find themselves constantly on the back foot, their alliances with smaller gangs under threat, their people in danger of being killed as Seamas O'Sullivan of the Sons Of O'Sullivan remains consistently one step ahead at all times. A ruthless and merciless man he is here to take everything and everyone they hold dear, to break them so thoroughly that in his sadistic and twisted mind it''ll be some some macabre achievement.
The author did a fantastic job of helping the reader to emphasise with Becca and her situation. The terror and the fea that she feels at being placed into another dangerous situation like the one she barely escaped from with the gangs back home was really realistic and pulled on the heart strings. Becca has found herself drawn to the violence and intense nature of the gangs as she feels the undeniable pull to Hardin as well as Kaleb. And yet after miraculously surviving a gunshot to the chest Becca is afraid of it happening again. Nevertheless, she is a fighter and is determined to prove to herself and others that Becca 2.0 is stronger and more capable and if this is the world she has to accept for the men she loves then she will do everything it takes to survive.
Kaleb is a very easygoing and relaxed kinda guy mostly, he's the charismatic, charming brother who easily shares her with Hardin though he's not afraid of giving Hardin the nudge he needs to get on board with their new dynamic. The brothers' bond is tight and never wavers even though they've never shared a girl before they do seem to fall into it naturally. In fact there's nothing like a deranged psychotic madman moving in on your turf and putting your entire family in danger that makes one rethink their priorities and boundaries. Hardin as the older brother is the over-protective, possessive, she's mine type but one thing he feels strongly about more than that is those he considers family.
But Hardin's truly tested when he finds out Becca's interest towards Aodhan, his enemies son who initially he has absolutely no chance of letting anywhere near his girl. In the end however, he can't deny Becca and he can't deny Aodhan's actions, words wouldn't help with Hardin he needs proof, thoroughly adhering to the belief of actions speak louder than words.
Overall, I really enjoyed returning to Becca's story, I was so excited when the author announced she would be finally finishing the series and it was well worth the wait. It has everything a reader needs, good plot and pace, dark violent actions scenes that get the heart pumping, smutty, spicy scenes and despite how much I despise him a truly great villain for the reader to hate with all their soul! The only thing that would have made it better was if it was a little longer for me, because I'm greedy and in need of more of these characters. I would have liked to have seen more of Aodhan with Becca and Kaleb and Hardin, and more of the tentative bond forming between Damien, Sloane and Becca. Other than that it was a really great read and one I really recommend to all gang romance lovers and dark romances lovers as long as they also like the reverse harem trope this is a book for them!
Ruthless Reign by Elena Lawson is the conclusion to the Kings of Kilborn duet. We have waited patiently to find out what happens between Becca and her guys but it was worth it. This is action packed as the gang war escalates between the Sons and the Saints. There are secrets and lies, acts of betrayal and loyalty tested, but most of all it is about the love that has been simmering between the four main characters. A dark and brutal romance with plenty of steamy scenes as the reverse harem develops.
Hardin and Kaleb are still coming to terms with finding Becca alive and unharmed after the attack on the safe house. The brothers she here as theirs and feel a responsibility to keep safe. Kaleb will rather share her than not have her at all but Hardin fights his jealousy and struggles with the idea of not having her to himself. Kaleb knows she wants them both and how good she is for Hardin but he feels he is better for her.
Now no one is safe with Seamas O’Sullivan trying to control their territory. They still didn’t know who the rat is in their ranks giving away information so the Sons are always one step ahead. The deal means each time they meet another Saint could lose their life. Diesel can’t risk asking Diesel and the Crows for help so who will survive to the end?
Becca had worked so hard and sacrificed so much, she wasn’t going to leave now. She’s determined to help them and summons up her inner Ava Jade. I loved how she interacted with all three guys. We find out so much more about Aodhan and what he has endured. How guilty he feels over telling his father about her and putting her in danger. He knows she will soon put all the clues to his identity together. Can he blow his cover and go against his father? How far is he prepared to go to keep her safe?
Will they pull together to save each other? Can the brothers ever trust him? Will they all forgive him and accept him? With his loyalty in question all hell breaks loose and the situation becomes dangerous for everyone.
I loved how strong all the female characters were especially Sloane. It was great to see Ava and her Crows again as they really are a fearless foursome. Be prepared for some surprises and upsets along the way. There is an explosive and violent fight between the gangs to bring the story to an exciting finish. I would have liked one scene between Becca and Aodhan as I felt he deserved it, plus an epilogue about the four of them to bring their romance to a finale as all such great characters. Overall a good conclusion to the duet.
I wanted to tell her she was safe. That we’d never let anyone hurt her, but I wouldn’t make promises I couldn’t keep.
Sometimes starting over in a new town and trying to restart your life into something simpler, such as going to college and getting a job…goes up in smoke…
Becca’s life has already been turned upside down and now it’s going down a twist path that she never saw coming. With the Saint brother’s Hardin & Kaleb bringing her into the fold of their family for protection, Becca is now thrown back into a war that she tried to escape back home.
Only now Becca isn’t a pure innocent and won’t be sitting worrying over those that she loves…no Becca will do everything she can to be strong enough to be by their side.
I wasn’t about to run away again. I just didn’t want to be told what to do. I wanted to choose it for myself.
Family loyalties are about to be tested, friendships strained and love tested as Becca Hardin, Kaleb, the Saints and even Aodhan come together for the last stand that will determine all of their futures…
Did saving Becca mean directly opposing Da? How far was I willing to go to keep her safe?
Following the shocking twists from Becca's first story, the conclusion is even more deadly and full of page turning wicked goodness!
I was very excited to see what happened next with all of these characters and was not left disappointed! It was very interesting finding out more about Hardin & Kaleb, their past coming to light explaining more about them.
Seamas O’Sullivan has been a great villain character, how he was always that one step ahead and even used his son Aodhan in the process. But, he didn’t bank on Aodhan falling in love with Becca and that made the storyline even more interesting to see how far Aodhan would actually go.
I really enjoyed reading this, we even have the Crows arriving in style which just adds to the brilliant heart wrenching story. Hot steamy sexy scenes, trigger pointing tension and a story that will drag you in from the start!
This book (and series) was good and entertaining. I did enjoy the first book the most, though. There did seem to be many more editing issues with this second book.
Misplaced comma, used before the word rather than after Misspelling, spell rather than spill Wrong word, there rather than them - sick rather than sic Formatting consistency issues - Chapter starts are either small to take up a few lines, or large and take up 1/3-1/2 the page. During the battle, there was an instance where it said Hardin shot a Saint rather than a Son.
There was a lot thrown into this book that wasn't really explained in the last one. Things that I believe would have helped against my irritation against Aodhan. The fact that they were texting so much, every day, wasn't really explained much in the first book. Also, when she found out about her dad, it just explained that he gave her a ride home, not that they were together talking for hours. All of this information would have helped build the foundation of their feelings and relationship. Throwing it all in during the second book, doesn't work. When the 3rd love interest has literally no romantic interaction with FMC until 80% into book 2 of 2, I just can't bring myself to care much for them. Then, to throw in the sex scene, as well, felt forced. It would have felt more natural if they all agreed to work on the relationship going forward rather than just jumping all in. I just feel that Kaleb and Hardin would have major issues with this (as do I). I get that his affection for her is needed for the plot and story to work, but I just wasn't feeling their chemistry enough.
This is a good read, however much like the Crows series, there is a serious lack of consideration for major injuries. Like Kaleb getting shot (nearly in the heart), Ma getting shot in the knee, only for it to seemingly disappear, etc. These people's recovery times are wayyyyy too fast.
Overall, this was a good series. I liked the first book better than this second one, though. I would recommend these to others though, as they were entertaining.

Ruthless Reign is the second installment to the Kings of Kilborn duology by Elena Lawson. Becca now knows that she is a mafia princess and that Kaleb and Hardin’s dad is her biological father. Thankfully, she finds out that Kaleb and Hardin are her step-brothers who took her biological father’s last name. The new syndicate has made themselves known and it’s time for a showdown for the Saints to keep their territory. Will Aodhan follow through with helping the Saints, or is it a trick to give his father the upper hand? Will Becca make it out of this and survive to become a Saint herself? I could tell you, but you should read for yourself. Similar to the Boys of Briar Hall series that preceded Kings of Kilborn, this is a reverse harem, dark romance that keeps you on your toes. I really enjoyed experiencing Becca’s growth throughout this duology, especially after she finds out who her biological father is. I loved the relationship dynamics that come from the three completely different men vying for her attention. Hardin irritated me a bit, but it fit his character well. I can’t tell you how relieved I was that the boys ended up being step-brothers. I know that dark romance stories tend toward taboo things, and sometimes things that are just plain wrong, but I’d definitely draw the line at incest. I made the mistake of reading the Kings of Kilborn duology before the Boys of Briar Hall series, so I recommend reading them in the correct order, but it isn’t 100% necessary for the plot of the book. It just helps you see where Becca came from and her relationship with her best friend that got her deeply involved with the Saints in the first place. Although there were quite a few grammatical errors throughout the book, it did feel like there was a good effort in trying to proofread and edit the story. Either way, I wasn’t pulled out of the story much, and it’s worth the read.
Ruthless Reign is the second book in the Kings of Kilborn University by Elena Lawson. I patiently waited to devour this book, and I was not disappointed. This book picks right up where we left off in Soulless Saint, and it pulled me in from the first chapter. I couldn't put this book down until I got to the end and oh, what an ending. This book is filled with action, suspense, and lots of scorching hot spice. The storyline was original, captivating, and page-turning. This book is a dark mafia, why choose romance and deal with dark topics and themes. The characters were complex and had intense chemistry between Hardin, Kaleb, and Becca. I laughed, cried, and fist-pumped a few times throughout this book. My heart broke and my stomach dropped when certain parts were revealed, which I totally enjoyed. This book was a rollercoaster of highs and lows, and twists and turns that kept me on the edge of my seat. There is a war coming and the Saints will prevail at any cost. I loved how the main characters went from hate to kinda like, to like to love in this book. I loved how they each grew and had huge character arcs in this book. Becca was stronger, determined, and loyal. Hardin was still intense, dark, and broody, but his heart was growing. Kaleb was still broody, loyal, and opening up, but he was now possessive and a little obsessed. Their chemistry was a powder keg and Becca was the match and when they exploded it was epic.
This book was worth the wait and I am so happy I got to see this duet to the end. I am obsessed with Elena Lawson's writing style, she is gritty, and raw and puts it all on the page. She created a deliciously dark and beautifully detailed world, and all the characters were intriguing. I can't wait to read their books. -By Brooke
Ruthless Reign was filled with non-stop action that had my heart up in my throat right up until the very end.
The story picks up right where we left off in Soulless Saint and this book never lets off the gas. It was full throttle as the Saints battle for their lives and Becca was right in the mix with her men proving she wasn't going to run and hide. She was so much stronger than the Becca of the past. Proving something to her past self, this girl dug deep and pulled out the friendship she had with Ava Jade and her growing relationships with Kaleb and Hardin to help thicken her skin and become the Becca 2.0 she wanted to be. It was fantastic to watch her really come into herself.
As for Kaleb and Hardin, their relationship didn't change much, except in the sharing department around Becca. They are brothers and have never shared a woman before, but Becca is special and I'm going to give credit where it's due...Kaleb is a unique individual that sort of keeps the tension down and helps the bros bond. I'll leave that nugget lying right there because I love him for all of his qualities, right along with the qualities of the other guys. That's right, I did say guys 😉. They are darker, they need Becca's light.
As for the war...the Sons were always one or two steps ahead of the Saints-which had my head reeling for the outcome of this book. On top of the action that never seemed to wain, there was the building relationship between Kaleb, Hardin, Becca and one more person. Yes, there is a great twist as the book went along. That is, if everyone makes it out alive...Becca is one lucky girl 😉
Quotes:📖 💬 “These guys had whole ass fucking murder sticks.”
💬 “Whatever I have, it’s yours, Hawk. Scars and all.”
Thoughts💡 This book was violence and smut with high octane action and a fast paced story. It was dark and twisted with a cohesive timeline and a plot that was interesting enough that it kept me reading. I would recommend this book for anyone that just wants something dark and dirty with big action sequences that doesn’t get too bogged down with relationship details. It hits all the highlights you would expect to see in a why choose romance without getting overly emotional. The characters live a rougher lifestyle and they work out their differences with physical acts instead of diving into deeper discussions.
I received an unedited copy of this book so I can’t attest to what the published version will be like.
✨Note✨ This is part 2 of the duet and can’t be read as a standalone. It’s also a spin off of Boys of Briar Hall.

Ruthless Reign is the second and final installment of the Kings of Kilborn University Duet. It is a continuation of the first book's story, so it is imperative to read the books in order for the story to make sense. The books contain a number of triggers, violence and a mild amount of spicy scenes.
I absolutely fell in love with this series while reading the first book, I was pulled into Becca and Hardin and Kaleb's lives as if I was attending CalArt with them. I have been impatiently waiting to see what happens next after the huge cliffhanger that book one ended on. Ruthless Reign hit the ground running and did not disappoint throughout the entire book. Once again Lawson had me laughing crying and yelling out loud at the characters' and their actions. The amount of suspense and plot twists in the story line kept me enthralled for hours at a time, I had to know what was going to happen next. Becca and her boys all have a place in my heart. My favorite thing throughout these books was watching each of the main characters' personal growth, each one finding a strength they did not know they had. I adored Becca's chemistry with her boys, and the different type of relationship she was able to have with each of them. Overall I found Ruthless Reign to be a fabulously suspenseful, spicy and page-turning read. I highly recommend it to all Romance Readers, especially those that enjoy Suspense Romance, Reverse Harems and Secret Society/Mafia Romance.
Wow! Ruthless Reign by Elena Lawson is an intense ride from start to finish. Becca Hart is back, and this time she's not running. She's staying put for Hardin and Kaleb, ready to face the storm.
After the betrayal by Aodhan, the stakes are higher than ever. Becca's journey from being the girl who runs to the one who stands her ground is gripping. The target on her back adds a layer of suspense that keeps you on the edge of your seat. The emotional turmoil, combined with the fierce determination to protect her loved ones, makes Becca an unforgettable character.
The dark romance aspect is perfectly woven into the plot, with Becca not having to choose between her love interests. The chemistry between the characters is palpable, and the intensity of their connections adds depth to the story.
What I love most about Ruthless Reign is Becca's transformation. Watching her summon a ruthless version of herself to fight her enemies is empowering. The bloodshed and danger add a thrilling element that keeps you hooked until the very end.
If you're a fan of dark romance with strong, complex characters and a plot that keeps you guessing, Ruthless Reign is a must-read. Elena Lawson has outdone herself with this stunning conclusion to the Kings of Kilborn University duet.

I received a copy of this book from the publisher/author to review for Stephanie's Book Reports.
This is the second book in the Kings of Kilborn University. You have to read the first book Soulless Saint or you will be lost. If you have read Soulless Saint this book will pick up right were that one left off. It is a fast paced book and you will not be able to lay it down. I was the same way with the first book. The Saints and Becca are trying to protect what this their and their lives. I loved that Becca wasn't going anywhere and stayed right were she was suppose to be. After all, she hasn't had the easiest time of it. She is only proving to herself that she is much stronger than she thinks she is. After all if you have Ava Jade as a best friend, you have no choice but to pick up a few things and be the bad butt you were always meant to be. After all she is now Becca 2.0 and nothing is going to stop her from standing at the sides of Hardin and Kaleb. I loved that these two are so close. Closer than brothers is not the right thing to say but it is true since they really are brothers. However Kableb is the one that keeps the calm and always has been even if he is a wild man himself. However they have never been in love with the same girl so it is a learning curb. But, he is always there to lighten the moments that get super intense. Hardin. Oh Hardin how you stole my heart fro the very beginning. He is a man of few words but he does say the things he needs to in the right moments. We can't forget that there is a war and the Sons are coming for what belongs to them and they can't let that happen or let their dad down. Now there is a huge twist in this book and I think I was floored a little but but it is a great twist and addition to this book. You guys do not want to miss this book. I loved every single second of it.
Yes!! I loved the intense, edge of your seat roller coaster of events! I am so happy for Becca to find these guys. She needed a happy ending and I'm so glad it ended on a good note. She has become such a strong FMC and haa changed into a bad ass throughout the books. You can see her transformation in both books and even Ava Jade is impressed by her change. Love her guys!
Did I mention the guys in her life are hot as sin! They are like the Crows in that they are in a gang and are brothers. Kaleb is the softer brother of the two but he is still ruthless. Hardin is the hardcore and older brother that is quiet most of the first book but talks more in the second. He opens up to Becca and she is grateful for it. Now, we need to talk about Aodhan. He is sexy, hot and with an Irish accent...yes please! He has demons of his own and is at war with himself and his dad. He wants to make his dad proud but he also doesn't want Becca hurt. He likes her and will do anything to protect her. You can see the change in him the more you read this book. And what a change it is.
So much death, surprises and unexpected turn of events. You will want to read it from beginning to end in one sitting but remember that you will feel different emotions. So if you have read Soulless Saints, then read this last book in the series. It will be worth it!

Ruthless Reign is the fantastic and exciting second half of the Kings Of Kilborn University Duet. It is an action packed, dark, why choose romance with betrayal, steam, a huge gang war, and some triggers that should definitely be heeded.
Becca and her guys cause fireworks to explode every time they are together. They have an amazing amount of chemistry and I loved how their individual and group relationships and dynamics developed. They have fought so hard and overcome so much to get their well deserved HEA, and I enjoyed every single second of it!
I was hooked on this duet from the start and refused to put each book down until the very last word. I loved how the characters from the Boys Of Briar Hall Series make their cameos in the story, it was great to see them. There was so much action and intrigue that this finale simply flew by. I honestly cannot say enough great things about this book, it was that good!
I absolutely loved this book. It is an outstanding conclusion to this duet. The writing, flow, and pace are terrific, as are the characters, storyline, storytelling, character development, relationship development, and world building.
This was the absolute perfect way to finish Becca's story! And she even got her third man! As much as I love Hardin and Kaleb, Aodhán is far and away my favourite, and I'm so glad he got his happy ending!
Elena really packed in the tension and edge to this book, and there were several times that I was restraining from skimming just to find out what happened and make sure everyone was alright. I really have to hand it to her for building the tension up so well and making me temporarily forget that I was reading a romance book and not an out-and-out thriller.
What I did miss was wholesome interactions between the characters. I loved the spice (LOVED the spice. Seriously....that bit with the gun??? Instant combustion), but I wanted to see more of Becca interacting with the others. Characters like Sloane, Damien, and even the other Saints felt a little static because Becca didn't get to build interactions with them. They seemed more of an afterthought than anyone essential to the story.
A big thank you to Elena and Courtney for letting me get my eyes on this one! I can't wait to see what y'all have in store!
After reading Soulless Saint and was just a mess waiting for Ruthless Reign. And it was absolutely worth the wait! The character development here was amazing. Especially Becca. I loved seeing her come into her own. Being the strong woman that she was deep inside herself. Also enjoyed and appreciated the development of the relationships going on as well. Kaleb is the more easy going and go with the flow type. Hardin not so much. He is more possessive and assertive. While neither of the brothers have ever shared a girl before. They do just that with Becca because neither of them want to give her up. And she most definitely will not choose one or the other. Yea you go girl! Throw in Aodhan and well you have an even more exciting and interesting turn taking place. The story is fast pacing, filled with action, drama and suspense that kept me on edge and my nerves a mess. It’s filled with smut and spice. Scenes that are so freaking sexy and wickedly delicious. Great characters that I couldn’t help but love. And a villain deserving of my loathing and hate. Absolutely loved the conclusion to the Kings of Kilborn University series.
After reading SOULLESS SAINT book 1 in this absolutely amazing series i honestly never thought anything could beat it . Well I was wrong so so wrong because from the moment I picked up Ruthless Reign I truly was a goner . Hooked from the very first page and devouring every single word to the point I actually lost track of time ( no really when I looked up it was actually 4 am in the morning and that definitely explained why I was fighting to keep my eye open 🤣. This is the conclusion to Becca and her guys story so you definitely need to start with book 1 but man was it worth it wait . Becca , Hardin and Kaleb they’ve all been through and have overcome so much to be together . If anyone deserves a happy ending it’s without a doubt them. But it’s not over yet so prepare yourself to be wowed and prepare yourself for the unexpected. Ruthless Reign is perfection a must read and easily one of the best duets / books I’ve read all year .A emotional rollercoaster that sucks you right in and plays on all your emotions in ways you will not see coming 🖤🖤🖤🖤🖤
The action in Ruthless Reign was nonstop from start to finish and I loved every minute of it! This book was definitely a bit of a rollercoaster, but absolutely worth the ride! I was so happy that we got more insight with Hardin, and it made me fall even harder for him 🖤. Kaleb was still such the teddy bear (with some pretty sharp teeth) and handled what life threw at him like a boss. Aodhan....oh Aodhan. I am SO here for him! I 100% loved that he became a prominent character for the final book, I only wish that we could have seen him and Becca's relationship flourish a bit more before the ending (which was also fricking awesome). It was also pretty awesome that we got to see more of some familiar faces in this book as well. Also, the spice in this was perfect, my personal favorite being the scene that happened in Kilborn University gym 🥵.
I really loved the characters in Ruthless Reign, so I'm a bit sad to see it end. However, I'm happy with the ending they all got! Definitely a must read series!
Elena Lawson’s Ruthless Reign is the sizzling finale to the Kings of Kilborn University duet that fans have been waiting for! Becca Hart decides to stand her ground for Hardin and Kaleb, but betrayal from Aodhan puts everyone in danger. Despite his efforts to make things right, Becca must channel her inner badass to survive.
This book is an emotional rollercoaster with nonstop action and heart-pounding romance. Hardin’s deeper character development makes him even more irresistible, Kaleb is the fierce yet cuddly protector, and Aodhan’s complex role will have you cheering for him. I honestly couldn’t get enough of any of them and I loved watching the relationships develop naturally.
Lawson blends humor, tears, and steamy romance seamlessly, crafting a story that’s impossible to put down. The familiar faces popping in here and there - definitely made me nostalgic.
With a perfect happily ever after, Ruthless Reign wraps up the series beautifully. It’s a wild ride that leaves you breathless and begging for more. If you love dark romance with intense action, this book is a must-read!
