There is nothing wrong with the book; it simply was not the kind of book that I would have enjoyed reading. To tell you the truth, it was not a terrible book.

At last! Another release from Chris Smith!
This is a brand new series from Smith, and easily his best book yet! He's done his research and has put together a story that involves conspiracy, murder, good old-fashioned cowboy gunfights, and a sense of intrigue.
Logan James is a great new character and he's like a locomotive, flattening his enemies before him! There's a definite feeling of Jack Reacher in this book...and I like it!
I highly recommend this book to western readers and thriller readers alike!

This was a fantastic book! There's action from beginning to end, the writing is great, and the plot flows really nicely!
This feels like a traditional western with a touch of spy thriller about it as Special US Marshal Logan James operates on behalf of higher powers for the good of the entire nation. It was interesting getting a bit of his back story, and also seeing his tough-as-nails approach when crushing any bad guys that get in his way.
I think this is the start of a great new series from Chris Smith.

Logan James feels like the Jack Reacher of the West.
Great story line, great plot and a really good read. Easily Chris Smith's best book yet. Can't wait for the next book in this series.
