Charity Auction Gone Wrong…
Our family newest hotel was running a charity auction this year to raise money for homeless shelters. The theme was to win a weekend getaway with prominent people ranging from stars, athletes, influencers, wealthy elites, and me, one of the heirs to the Brooks fortune.
The woman I had been yearning for and chasing after for almost two year was finally going to be in my grasp. We had planned for her to be the final bid at my auction, getting the weekend away with me and her name in the papers as the woman to outbid everyone for one of the Brooks heirs.
But the chance slipped through my fingers when mine and my fraternal twin brother’s childhood best friend, Ambra, got in the way, ruining the easy-going friendship we had. With one jokingly last wave of her hand, she ended up claiming the date with me.
Now, instead of our friendship, all I see is anger and retaliation.
This will cost her the whole weekend at my planned getaway, submitting to my every want and desire.

**Do not diminish an authors hard work by trying to tank her by saying her book is AI. The amount of time I sit down to write everyday to the point I am now having issues with my kidney is not a joke. If you don’t like my work that is fine, if you want to point out things I can work on that is good too. But people messing with authors to get them to quit or lose revenue is appalling. I am not going anywhere..

This was pretty good. Now I am reading about twin brother Ben and Diamond. I am glad that Michael and Ambra are together. I am sure that the next book will include them as well as Carter and Zahara.

Great second book on a series
What a ride! I loved everything about this book. Michael and Ambra are an amazing couple. Friends who’ve loved each other for so long but never acted on it. And I love that them being together physically didn’t change how they acted around each other. They still pull pranks and play intense games of hide and seek. They still talk trash to each other and hold each other accountable. And the build up for Ben and Diamonds story AND Coco and Colin’s story was amazing! Can’t wait to read both of these books!!!

I really liked the determination that Michael and Ambra used to get one another. She bid on him at an auction to win him fora weekend getaway from Summer and after things blew up that weekend, he was relentless to find her by any means necessary when she went into hiding. They were too cute and sexy. I wanted her pregnant though. I can’t wait to read Ben and Diamond’s story because he’s been crushing on her from the first time that he laid eyes on her. I also would like to read Colin and CoCo’s story as well.

Funny and sexy!
Ambra was smart, funny and somewhat of a tomboy. I was captivated by she and Michael's story. It would be nice if we all could fall in love with our best friend. Albeit, I loved their story, since Diamond and Ben were featured near the end, I think it should have been made clear who set Diamond up. I am not happy about having to wait until November for their story. Otherwise, an entertaining read.

Lots of steam but not much love
There was a lot of steam and unfortunately not much development to make the characters' love believable. The story wanted to be a strong alpha man and strong black woman. But it had the opposite effect.
Nevertheless, it was a quick weekend read to hold me up until I find my next book.

I liked the premise of the story but something was missing despite the flashback of when the characters were kids. Having no interaction between the hero and his intended paramour, I wasn't invested or onboard with his revenge. I would've loved an explanation of why his paramour stopped bidding, she was an heiress and it didn't make sense; Especially after we're given a flashback scene of an encounter between the intended paramour and the heroine of the story.
I didn't like the adult version of the hero nor his high-handedness and I didn't connect with the heroine who apparently had no control over the functioning of her body. Finally, the nail in the coffin for this hero is how and what he did to find her—he was out of line. The ending was abrupt and unsatisfactory for me as a reader. Read it ... your opinion may differ!

Michael amd Ambra keep each other in the best friend catergory since high school. They both doubt the other would want to be more than. Micharl fills his time being a play boy and Amvra stands boy and acts like she doesnt care.
A prank gone wrong is how they end up together for a romantic weekend. Ambra over hears a part of a converstaion that Micharl is having and leaves. She plans to hide away frim him until she want to address her hurt. She enlist the help of an unsuspected friend.
She is able to hide away for a while before Michael is able to locate her. Michael takes tpes for her to understand that he wants her, but he is not telling her everything.
They return to another situation involving her sister, but they resolve their issues to maintain their relationship.

This is a enjoyable story with amazing characters that are captivating with a relationship that is entertaining but drama filled.The couple has a sizzling passion that burns up the pages.This is a amazing story about a couple that are best friends and are always playing pranks. This story will make you cheer for this couple and when they come together it's sweet. There are funny with emotional parts. But through it all it keeps you on the edge of your seat wondering what will happen next. Which it will keep the pages turning. I wanted more to the ending but you don't always get what you want. I'm looking forward to the next story from this author. This is a good romance.

I love the premise of Williams’ stories. They’re quick reads. My only (and I do mean ONLY) complaint is whoever is her copy editor—FIRE them. They’re letting too many grammatical and spelling errors and plot lapses get by and it’s not setting the author up for success—and damn it, I want her to be successful because these stories are fire.
Hell, can I be an ARC reader? I’ll catch them for free.
But if you are not an English teacher like me and can overlook the aforementioned complaint, then pick up her books and tell a friend to tell a friend because this is some spicy IR romance and I’m here for it. 🫡

what started off as a 'get back' only opened the door and made them face the reality of what they had been fighting. their feelings. and when those doors opened... oh baby. it was on. all the misunderstandings and fighting, only excited their romance. and brought Michael to his knees, it made him stop running from them. made him open up to the idea of them together. allowed her to open up and admit that this was finally happening... after all those years. they finally had each other, and it was going to be a wild ride.

This was good, for a minute there I didn’t think Micheal was going to see the beauty that’s been by his side since middle school. But glad to see Ambra give him a run for his money as well, she made him work for it after he realize she was the true catch. Can’t wait for Ben story to come out. I might have to read Carter, then Micheal before I read Ben story, so everything is fresh and flows through.

I was confused… so Summer stopped bidding because of Amber, and he goes from “I’m mad at you Amber, WTF did you do” to “oh you look good in that dress” and straight to kissing Amber? Nothing in between? I felt like I missed chapters… I would love to see him angry with her and AFTER spending time together in whatever place they are supposed to go (close proximity) the feelings started flowing.. But no… so hard no for me… it’s like it was edited out too much!

This series is becoming a fav. I loved Michael and Ambra’s transition from friends to lovers. Sometimes you have to just go for it. She let him know that she was the prize and he proved to her that she meant the world to him. Can’t wait to see what happens with Ben and Diamond.

Fun Read !!!
Michael and Ambra really belong together, those two are fun , even as friends they were two mischievous fun loving friends. That being said, it’s no wonder they became more… granted it took a ‘joke’ or prank to force their hands .

Rushed Ending
While I enjoyed the beginning of this book, the story’s ending felt rushed and left me feeling very confused. Also, spoiler alert…this is a “to be continued” storyline. I hate giving a mediocre rating, because I believe this author has great potential, but I really did not like the rushed ending.

Devious Bunch
Lol. Read this on a chemo day. It brought me laughter and comfort to see Alpha males brought to their knees by strong women. Gave me the lift I needed to face all my fears and to move forward with the strength to overcome this hump.

Again likeable, a hawt short read. The intimacy scenes very spicy, the storyline engaging. MMC -Michael I like his character, MFC -Ambra character relatable.

All the men are utter assholes and the woman are doormats who just take it. I regret spending my time reading this and Carter, definitely not reading Ben’s book.
