Stuck with a Billionaire Rockstar

Rate this book
He’s my best friend’s brother and now my personal dating coach.

Brent Dominic, Raving Havoc’s lead singer, is filthy rich and a tattooed playboy with the kind of charisma that has women melting at his feet.

I’m a nerdy good girl, shy and boring. I can’t take a man home if my life depended on it.
That’s why I agreed to my bestie’s suggestion for a girls-only tropical vacation.

Brent crashes our trip to escape his latest scandal and lay low until it blows over.
Imagine bumping into the man who has been driving me wild for years.

When he witnesses my zero flirting skills, he offers to help me out.
A secret fake relationship to teach me how to be appealing to men.

Except the paparazzi plasters it all over social media.
Now, my best friend is overprotective and wants me to end it.

Ignoring him is impossible when every touch tells me I’m totally falling for him.
I knew it was temporary, but his flirting lessons are as real as they can get.

Mediocre

Slow moving story with an awkward Julia who scares away dates by throwing out miscellaneous facts and not knowing how to have conversations with her dates. Then her best friend’s rockstar brother offers to teach her how to flirt and brings their relationship to another level. He’s laying low because of a scandal and goes to the same resort his sister planned with Julia for a girls only trip.

Some of my issues with the story:

1) A lack of the main characters’ physical descriptions. Julie’s features aren’t described until much later in the story. In the beginning, we only know that she is taller than Mallory because the skirt Mallory loans her is tighter and shorter on Julia. It turns out the Julia was considered skinny in high school.

Later, Julia plays with her blonde hair and Brent mentions her green eyes.

There’s no real description of Mallory except once about her dark hair and we are to assume she’s shorter and maybe thicker than Julia.

Brent’s features are only centered on his blue eyes, tattoos and muscular arms. And there’s no description of how much older he is than his sister and Julia.

2) Brent was burned by his high school ex once he became famous. What gets confusing later is that he was burned by his “exes”. Just how many exes did he end up having a serious relationship that burned him?

3) Most of the time Julia acts like an immature teenager instead of being a 27 year old especially with her lack of communication with Brent. Brent is thoughtful and calm but Julia seems to go off the rails with her immature behavior and doesn’t listen for any explanations. I just question how does she handle any conflicts that take place with the kids in her classroom?

4) Another thing that threw me was Mallory calling Julia ‘babe’. Quite frankly, that was a first time I’ve read a female character calling another female character ‘babe’ as a nickname.

5) Plus, not many people at the resort recognize Brent as a famous rockstar.

The story, on the whole, was well written, some storylines needed further development.

Reading this book gave me emotional whiplash. The characters were frustratingly inconsistent—thinking one thing, saying another, and leaving me to wonder what exactly they wanted. Most of their time at the resort seemed to involve an endless cycle of moving between hotel rooms, which did little to advance the plot or hold my interest.

The inner turmoil regarding their feelings for each other felt shallow and repetitive, as if they were running in circles. Their constant back-and-forth grew tiresome quickly. After only a couple of days, they suddenly declared themselves in love, which felt completely rushed and unearned.

The love scene was unnecessary and added nothing meaningful to the story. Whatever was happening in the plot could have easily continued without it—it felt like it was thrown in just for the sake of it.

The only stable character was Mallory, who seemed just as baffled by the chaotic behavior of her brother and best friend as I was. I found myself sympathizing with her confusion because I, too, couldn’t make sense of their erratic decisions.

Overall, the book left me bewildered and disappointed. It was confusing and lacked emotional depth, making it impossible for me to finish. I wouldn’t recommend it to anyone.

Second Chances

Julia has a longtime crush on Brent, who is her best friend’s brother. Over a few years, she’s had a few dud dates including the last one Brent witnesses. Brent offers to help her overcome her nervousness, learn how to flirt & to become more confident being with a date. Brent is a successful rock star with women wanting him for his money & to be famous by association with him. Julia has the gentle, shy persona that intrigues him & he brings out the hidden tigress in her. They venture out together while they tour on an island. When strangers hit on Brent or on Julia, they each witness what happens to the other & the jealousy surfaces. They start to have doubts about the times they’ve spent together on whether their feelings have been fake all along but yet, it feels so genuine.

Will Brent & Julia be able to overcome these doubts, clear the air & discover their love for each other has always been alive and very strong? Beautifully written & craving for more! A great romance story with the right balance of everything needed to have the reader loving these two lovebirds!

Stuck with a Billionaire Rockstar is pure romantic escapism in the best possible way. The chemistry between Brent and the shy, lovable heroine is electric from the start.you can feel her long time crush bursting into something real and terrifying and wonderful.

What really got me was how human the story feels beneath all the fame and scandal. Brent isn’t just a playboy, he’s vulnerable, protective, and slowly undone by someone who never expected to catch his attention. And watching her gain confidence not through fake dating, but through being truly seen is incredibly sweet.

It’s sexy, emotional, and full of that delicious tension that keeps you reading way too late. A perfect feel good romance with heart.

This is a great book. It was a steamy page turner and the suspense was intense and mind blowing. I was on the edge of my seat and I couldn't even put it down. The chemistry between them was spicy hot and sensational. This story was outstanding and marvelous. The sexual tension between them was like a rollercoaster ride up and down. As it was forbidden for them to be together but how would her feel about their intimacy relationship with unexpecting moments.
I highly recommend this book and you won't be disappoint. I received advance copy of this book via Bookfunnel and am voluntarily leaving my honest review. Trina Jones

Brent is a rockstar in trouble and needs to get away. He decides to crash on his sister's girls trip, Julia is trying to break out of her shy awkward shell. She is a dating disaster. Brent witnesses one of her dating mishaps and offers to train her in the art of flirting. Chemistry is hot between these two and it's enjoyable to see their relationship develop. I enjoyed the book.

HEA

Brent is the true rock star, living the high life of music, parties, umpteen women. Julia has met Brent at her best friend's house, as he is BF's brother and has secretly been in love with him for years. When Brent offers to help Julia learn how to attract men, little did each of them know, they would fall for one another. I hope the author is planning more books with other members of this band as leads in the stories.

I love rockstar romances so when I saw this one, I grabbed it. Julia is a sweet girl but she is very awkward on dates. Her best friend Mallory wants to take her on a girls trip to try and change things for her. Mallory’s brother just happens to be a famous rock star that needs to lay low for awhile. He offers to help Julia be more outgoing and do better on dates. There is no way they’d actually fall for each other, right?

This was a cute book. It is not a long read at all and there is not a whole lot of time on the backstory of the characters. Awkward Julia is almost painful to watch as she learns to become comfortable dating while Brent is so sweet and so patient. I enjoyed the book. I cannot say there was anything that drew me in enough to want to read the other books. If you are looking for a great weekend read this is a great book to settle in with, drink some coffee and just relax.

Made for each other

What a lovely story of a rockstar falling in love with a shy normal person. Although Brent and Julia have known each other for a while it was only when Brent joined his sister Mallory and her best friend Julia on their holiday that any form of attraction was between them. As they spent time together their attraction blossomed into loving loving caring relationship.

A new author for me. I jumped right into enjoying this book and the characters. Kind of a no frills Rockstar Romance with light steamy parts.
The end was a bit anti climatic for my taste but the anticipated HEA felt a bit rushed to just get it done.
The next in the series is out soon. I have not decided yet .....

Julia is falling for her best friends brother who is in a rock band. He has come home because he is in a scandal and the band and manager wants him to lay low. So what does Brent do? He follows his sister and her bestie on vacation in St. Croix. Hmm, does Brent have a thing for Julia? And is it real or to pass the time. The life of a rock star isn't for everyone. 5 star read. Very entertaining.

Cute

This was a first read from this author. The storyline was well written, believable, fast paced and overall a cute story. This was a quick read did it in one sitting. Wish there was a little more of the rockstar\band lifestyle. Going to read the next book in the series. Overall it was a good book.

I am completely, utterly over the trope of the bitchy, oversexed, skank best friend.
Why does every shy or awkward woman need to have a nasty, red flag friend. Why?
This book does not hold up well, the parts that are decently written do not overcome the lengthy internal monologue.

Gave it 2 stars because I did end up skim reading the whole thing, hoping it would get better.

wow

Wow, just wow! I’ve fallen in love with Julia and Brent. If only we could clone, Brent, life would be wonderful. He’s a rockstar with a heart of gold and she’s a shy girl who can’t talk to men. Their relationship is like a roller coaster ride with so many twists and turns. Can’t wait to see what happens with the rest of the band.

Really good but poor editing

I enjoyed these 2 characters. Brent is pretty yummy. I am a sucker for rockstar books.
The story moved along at a good pace and kept me interested.
I gave the story 4 stars because of the editing. There are numerous misplaced " andcat times i wasn't sure, because if them, who was talking. The paragraph structure needs work.

Great story!

Brent is a well known singer. He needs to get away and goes on a trip with his sister and her best friend, Julia. He ends up falling for her but how he got there is in a round-about way.

Stuck with a billionaire rockstar

Book was super cheesy and corny, but it wasn't terrible. I've read worse. Julia and Brent were a little silly in their running away from their feelings and I found it spun a little faster than I would have liked

it was ok

This book had its moments throughout and I think it could have been better in some ways I mean it wasn’t terrible but I did find myself skimming over parts as well. For me it was just an ok read.

cute

This is a cute story. Julia and Brent are really likeable characters with very human flaws and insecurities but their love shines through. HEA. 4 stars. Needs an editor to finesse the storyline particularly in the last 50% as it’s jumbled.

The plot had so many holes and the timeline jumped around horribly. I couldn’t care less about either of the main characters. Wanted to DNF but my obsessive compulsive brain wouldn’t let me.

Loved the book with the family entire action . The vulnerability of lead characters made them fell real. Wonderful start for a new series.
