Vampire Ties #2

Broken Ties

Rate this book
Gregori, the Master of Clan Nighthawk, has little interest in providing sanctuary to little lost fledglings. Warm and welcoming has never really been his style. So when he's informed that a fledgling female has just entered Club Nighthawk to beg for protection, his first instinct is to kick her right back out the door.

Until he finds out that Helene is the fledgling of Clan Wolfbane's Master, that is. Keeping the fledgling of Gregori's greatest rival from returning home would be a blow to the Wolfbane Clan pride. Of course, eventually Gregori would send her back -- to do otherwise would be to provoke a full-out war. He just planned on doing it a piece at a time.

What he didn't plan on was discovering that this "lost little fledgling" possessed a strength and fighting spirit that was more than a match for his own, or that her body would delight him so much all in one piece that war was preferable to harming her...

About the author

Amelia Elias

Meet Amelia Elias, mother of ten (okay, so some of her ‘kids’ have four legs and a tail), home health nurse (which is great because it affords her so much time to sit and chat with her clients), and author of many stories (most of them written to shut up those persistent voices in her head—though new ones always take their place). Amelia is slender, buxom, graceful, plays classical piano, speaks 17 languages, is always immaculately dressed, and is titled nobility on an oilrig off the coast of England.

And the nobility thing is actually true.

Amelia writes about everything from genies in a bottle, to gods and goddesses, to gorgeous vampires and hot, sexy Fae. Her stories are set in such locations as Olympus, two versions of an alternate Earth, vampire-owned nightclubs, and the really, truly crazy ones happen in the real world.

Some say she can be a bit scattered with her writing. Amelia disagrees, arguing, “No, not at all! I am very focused and… and… wait, do you have a pen? I just got a great idea for a romance between a shape-shifting ghost and an alien!”

total honesty...I only was willing to read this because I thought it was a continuation of the first one. I didn't really want to read a story about gregori but I tried to give it a chance. he's a jackass through and through and I didn't want to stick around and see the author try to make him appealing as he pursues a tstl heroine. dnf
