I loved the path of the ranger which is the only reason I’m reading these. The first book felt like a copy cat of the rangers. The whole team forming to train in a school had already been written. I got over it but it has been hard to fall in love with these new characters. They simply don’t have the depth path of the ranger did. Also who’s checking these. Its Nahia not Naha. Her name was misspelled to many times for my liking. I hope this story finishes merging soon and I stop having to read about the dragon school cause I’m really not interested in that.
Year two at the academy of dragons where the other races are ruled over by dragons was just as rough as the first one. But will have to admit that it did end with some interesting revelations which surprised me. The Panthers are still all separated some in another land. Lasgol has met other possible allies in that other land where then people are ruled over by dragons. They want to break free of their dragon enslavement and Lasgol is trying to reunite with his friends once again. Can the two groups from two different lands help one another reach their goals? Will Lasgol get his full powers back? Will he be able to reunite with his friends? And will the other nation finally be free of the dragons now that they know they can be killed and aren't immortal? Only time will tell and these are questions we as readers are looking forward to finding out.
3.9/5 Estuvo bien.
The saga continues, moving us from Nahia’s world to Lasgol’s (from the Path of the Ranger series) and even drawing into it the White Panther team from the Path of the Ranger. As one who enjoyed that world and its characters, I was pleased to see how Mr. Urvi masterfully drew his worlds together and united his characters in purpose and effort.
We’re in the second year of training for our team of survivors under the ferocious and heartless red dragon. War is brewing, as it always is under their bloodthirsty oppressors. Nahia and her teammates struggle to have victory over the impossible expectations of the sadistic dragon lords, and often we wonder with them if they will make it. As each learns to develop and use his or her elemental power and skills, they are forced to lean upon one another for strength, encouragement and training.
Aiden, the Drakonid, remains steadfastly loyal to his dragon lords, though his faith is repeatedly challenged. The team always wonders if he will betray their rebellious hearts. Despite their irritation and distrust of him, they all have to pull together to survive the vicious schooling.
The twists and turns of this book will keep you up reading to the end. I was dubious of some of the war scenes and details of the history (like how these peoples can have dragon blood in them in the first place), but I still enjoyed it.
SPOILERS I MEAN IT SPOILERS First the negatives. Too many dragons with large names. It was just too much to remember them. I'm starting to pick up similarities with Path of the dragon. Funny it was book two of Path of the ranger where I think Ingrid saw during a ceremony a quick reveal of the King not being the king. In this book Nahia and Daphne were the only ones to believe dragons can be killed. Well, the squad saw a dead dragon at the end and the only one in denial of it is Aiden. More great news Gerd is free!!!! Nahia at the end with the help of Lasgol, Camu, Molak and Luca!!! This alone is the reason for my rating. Gerd no longer captive. Lasgol still doesn't have all his memory but has the drive to regain all of them and his skills. He had key moments with this golden weapon. Camu has a new skill which was key to translate the conversation between Nahia and him. We also got updates from the rest of Snow Panthers. Nilsa is awake!!! The rest are yet to be rescued. We even got a brief recap of the book series Ilenian enigma. With Lasgol mentioning his time with the bearers!!! Nahia and her squad learned a new skill with Elemental maw and it was cool. They each also got elemental skills. They each were highlighted in the war with the Norghanian soldiers in climax. Overall, it was a long read 576 pages but it was worth it!!!! Can't wait to read book 3.

This book brought about the evolving of Nahia's and her squad at Dragon Warrior Academy continuing into their second year. As proven, each canadite started their indentured by being evaluated during their 15th summer on their home worlds. Nahia's started by the reader being aware of differing colors of scales on their faces, necks and other body parts. Nahia's is the only one to have two different color scales on her body. Gold and red ones. Gold on her forehead and neck, red on her arm and shoulders. The other children were all born with a few while others had many. During the start of the second year, Nahia had her scales evaluated and the head Dragon instructor calls Nahia "Flameborn"! She doesn't understand what it means but during the second year, every time Nahia got punished for doing something wrong, the instructor made snide comments about Nahia should know better, be better, because she was Flameborn. By the end of this book Nahia is beginning to realize her potential to truly be powerful enough to kill a dragon and free her people.
Nahia and the Igneous Squad survived their first year of the Path of the Dragons training. But before they even get a break, on the first day of their second year, they are forced to fight and survive 3 tests.
They barely make it, but the worse is yet to come as they struggle to master new magic skills and fighting techniques.
Nahia and her team talk too much. That’s partly why she got in trouble. I scanned past it to the important bits. Then the great battle between the Norghanians and the dragons came and I couldn’t put it down.
Fave scenes: the magic progress test, the Test of the Mark of Talent, getting the dictionary and the battle with the dragons in Norghania.
I read a series of books awhile back (Path of Rangers all the way to book 14), then got all caught up and moved on to another series, just recently while reading the series (Path of Dragons1-3 waiting on 4) from the author and realized they were connected to the Path of Ranger series. OMG both are excellent and now I am re-reading the Path of Rangers series since there are quite a few more books out! Can't get enough, Thanks for the story connection, it drove me back to re-read the others!
Excellent second book of the series. The struggles of the characters as well as their line of thinking is incredibly detailed as is also the strength and believe of the individuals. Beautifully written the story draws you in more and more. Can't wait to read the next book to see what is happening.
I don't mind a variation on a young adult book about a wizard school. The characters, especially the main seem very one-dimensional and do incredibly stupid things. That being said it was an enjoyable light read for this little past young adult reader.
The story of The Path of Dragons continues in this the second book in the series with as much outrages fantastical vision as the first book. However this book needed a better copy writer! There are many gaps in the prose unrelated to the story as well as misspellings dropped letters from names. By
This book kept me very interested in what was to happen next. I tried not to read for long periods so it would last but I failed. Can't wait for the next book to be released. Great job Pedro
The plot progresses. Catching you by surprise. Great charector development the story Is patient keeping you ready.but creating the suspense needed for a great read
Seeing the cruelty of the dragons is so disconcerting but it sure makes for an entertaining read. Nahia grows stronger in every way and I doubt we've witnessed just how truly strong she can be. I'm really looking forward to this series... the third book can't come soon enough.
This book moved much faster. I really am enjoying this series. I’m excited to see what comes next for Nahia…There are many spelling and grammar errors which distract from the story though…
Gods I am so addicted to this series so far. I love Nahia, and Logan, and you know there is something equally special about him. Also shipping Nahia and Logan awful Hard.
Very good read. Imaginative story. But at times reads as though was originally written in another language and translated to english, and then never edited. But still, an excellent story.
Awesome book the gang is back together again. I can't wait to find out what happens to everyone...I hope it is a much happier ending than we saw the last time they were together. Gawd, I hope so..,I couldn't take an ending like that twice....on to the next book. Woo hoo!
After reading the Path of The Ranger this series is really taking it to the next level. With book 2 it is really starting to pull things together. All I can say is I love it!!
Wow. What a great second book. I am so thankful that the book tells what is happening with the Panthers. Now, the Red Dragon Squad knows that dragons can be hurt or killed. There is hope for their freedom.
I seriously don’t have anything nice to say… I’m not even sure WHY I’m still reading this series. The writing is flat, unemotional, super repetitive with SO MANY ERRORS that I honestly think I’m just editing now for other Kindle readers. If I had bought the set, I’d demand my money back.
On a positive note: it’s a good series for children under 14. Although repetitive, it does have a decent plot, good magic system and no bad words or spice. I was mostly aggravated by the EXCESSIVE errors and repetitive words. This author definitely needs a thesaurus.
