Sarah Greenwood can't seem to adjust to life as a divorcée. While her ex-husband has already moved on, Sarah is stuck in a rut -- take the kids to school, clean the house, go to work, drive to soccer practice, and repeat. But when gorgeous business tycoon and multi-millionaire Victoria Bradley moves to town and hires Sarah to design her newly built home, her life is turned upside down.
As she unravels her newfound attraction to women, Sarah must find someone to build a custom table for Victoria's perfect dining room. Sarah has no choice but to ask Brianne Shaw, her former academic rival and New Winford's favorite lumberjack, to craft the table from scratch.
But as she works with both Victoria and Bri, Sarah struggles to understand her romantic feelings toward each of them. As the project draws to a close, Sarah will have to choose between the millionaire who can give her the world or the lumberjack who stole her heart.
Cara Porter has penned a delightful coming out and falling desperately in love story. My pet peeve with books is with grammatical errors and spelling errors which this book is full of. It takes away from the joy of the story. Does that mean you shouldn’t read it? No not at all, just prepare your self for trying to figure out some words that make no sense and get the general idea of the sentence in your own head and carry on! The characters are wonderful, the story line excellent, so yes read it.
This was a slightly different take on the typical Sapphic romance novel. Sarah, newly divorced, finds herself being wooed by both Victoria, a billionaire, and Brianne, the childhood friend who’s had a crush on Sarah since they were teenagers. And in that respect, it was unique.
I did feel that the romances were a little rushed but overall, I enjoyed this book.
Wow Cara Porter puts a dream world into the journey of small town romance with doing up an old house on the lake. I should have said hot romance with the billionaire and the carpenter. What a coming out story
