Yes, this is the finest scene in the play. The play "Anastasia" is no longer done now that we know she was a fraud and not the youngest child of the last Tzar of Russia. I played the title role in college. It was a wonderful experience. I loved the cast and crew. We were family. There is no getting around it. This is a powerful scene. In this scene only, the countess is by far the better role.

I have the complete actor's edition of the play "Anastasia" by Guy Bolt
