Introducing the Distinguished Rogues—wickedly irresistible lords and the enchanting ladies of the ton who capture their hearts. Come along on the journey as each wicked rogue seeks his one true love in this special edition boxed set.

Chills (Book 1): Constance Grange has always clashed with the haughty Marquess of Ettington but nothing prepared her for the peril of choosing a husband that fails to meet his approval. Shy, fragile Lilly tempts him but to claim her Giles must expose the dangers her past—before it’s too late.

Charity (Book 3): Darling of the ton Oscar, Lord Carrington, has thoroughly lost his way but knows what he needs to be happy. However, righting past wrongs isn’t easy and he’ll have to risk scandal to make everything right again for the woman he loved and lost.

I'm not really familiar with HB's writing. I know she's pretty popular, so when I saw Amazon had a 3 book bundle for $1 I decided to try them. It turned out my $1 was not well spent!

The first book was unreadable. I HATED the heroine with the cutesy nickname of Pixie. 1 star.

The second book was better, upgraded to a 2 star.

The third book was lame & HB has another heroine with the nickname "Precious". Gag. 2 stars because I could get through most of it. Maybe I should go back & give it one star, it wasn't really that good.

Anachronistic writing. No way were these people From the Regency time period. Dumb stories with too many contrivances. WAAAAY too many people thought these stories were 4 & 5 stars!
There's SIXTEEN books in this series. Holy cow!!
So not going to waste anymore of my money on this writer!

Chills
I really enjoyed the interaction between the characters in this one, there was loads of humour and originality in the story. She does stretch their cluelessness a bit far, but in my opinion it's still within tolerable limits. All over I found it to be a really enjoyable story, that I'm sure I'll happily read again.

Broken
Good characters with nice interaction. The story is simple, but lovely and a joy to read

Charity
Not as good as the other stories, but still a nice read

Connections

A series of stories with connections in the characters but entirely different story lines. I especially enjoyed the moments of humour with some characters

3 enjoyable love stories. Each different.

Each can stand alone but do provide a slight connection to other books of the series.
I would recommend each/all.

There are so many Regency authors publishing that it is difficult to discern which authors deserve a closer look.

Chills, the first book in the Distinguished Rogues series is free on Amazon, and is where I found it. The story is filled with humor and tension. Pixie is n London to find a husband and Lord Ettington, her former Guardian is upset that he doesn't feature in her search. Pixie has a way of ending up in the most improper situations and he has his hands full to try and protect her reputation. It is a good read and really something that stands out amongst Regency Romances.

Having said this, one is naturally apprehensive to read more novels in the series as sometimes it happens that the same recipe is used and only the names and small details changed. Heather Boyd, however, finds a way of surprising with each following book, each novel has an original story-line with characters that in no way represent the previous heroines. Every book is a fresh read and brings enjoyment to the reader.
