Kindle Unlimited, although own 9 of the 10 and possibly some of the sets; wondering if should buy 10 so going to read on ku but first going to read 1 NOPE ALL GARBAGE, went through 10 piles of filth and garbage and sewage. Every story has cardboard characters, unbelievable and stupid nonsense situations, and that is IF can understand the broken/bad mangled sentences of 'English'. CLAIMS a 'modern murder she wrote' uh how, it's not a decent mystery, it's not a decent 'book', and it's ridiculously BAD. "A hair-raising thriller from an Amazon bestselling author!...A must read for mystery lovers." NOT NOT NOT NOT and btw 'thriller is NOT the same as 'mystery', otherwise they'd be listed under the same subheading.


This is, by far, one of stupidest things {ALL TEN} have ever read in entire life, and that's thousands of books across every genre. Did person writing this have English skills, because sure doesn't seem that way, and if it was translated that person needs fired, whoever edited this crap as well because there are misspellings, run on sentences, words in weird places, missing words, wrong syntax, pretty much unreadable mess. The switching of perspective in telling this mess is ridiculous. Switching tenses is ridiculously confusing and definitely wrong. When a 'story' is this bad, it makes it worse if that's even possible, when can't tell who is saying what or talking to or about who. This whole piece of junk should have warning label for graphic crap garbage. These books are so full of garbage even a toxic landfill would refuse to take this sewage.

She slowly sank into the slow, flowing river. No one ever found her body, and as the years passed, her real name could not be remembered, so she was called The Wild Rose. The Wild Rose is an old Irish tale of a man courting a woman and killing her while they are out together. It’s what inspired the song by Nick Cave and now also a killer in Enniskerry, Ireland. Emma Frost is supposed to be on a relaxing and romantic vacation in Ireland with her boyfriend, when they find the dead body of a woman in the river, just like in the old tale. The small town of Enniskerry, where Emma and Morten are staying, is shocked by this murder, mostly by the secrets it threatens to expose. When another woman is found in the river with a rose between her teeth, it becomes suddenly very serious for Emma. Before long, she is plunged into a frantic chase for this killer, while she and Morten attempt to solve the mysterious riddles of the town’s disturbing past in this pulse-racing book. First, it's not pulse racing just more stupidity and idiocy of the other 9.

This might have been the first book of this series that I could not put down.
Emma and Morten are on vacation in a small town in Ireland when a woman is found dead with a rose in her mouth. Emma just can’t help her nosiness. She is who she is.
As she digs deeper into this more people are murdered and the police are starting to point the finger at the tourists, Emma and Morten. So now Emma and Morten really have to solve this case before they are accused of being the killers.
This story also follows the heartbreaking and oh so compelling I had to skip ahead and read a little more back story of a young girl Violet in 1977 who falls pregnant at 14.
I recognized some of this story from true life horror stories that involved unwed married girls in Ireland. I’m glad the author chose to shine light on this seeming it was still happening up until the mid 90’s and I’m grateful she did not get as gruesome as the real life stories.
Once again Victor’s gift comes to the rescue.
There were some cringeworthy moments when Morten tries to unsuccessfully pick up Emma but she’s too heavy for him. When Emma gets left in the dust on a fake blind date after using a fake picture. And when Emma asks Morten if he finds her attractive and he hesitates lol.
I mean come on Emma you can’t eat all the bread and butter, never work out, put on 50 lbs and then expect your boyfriend to still look at you like your the hottest thing in Denmark!
And please explain to me how Morten got beat up by a girl.

I got hooked on the first book of the Emma Frost series and ended up going through them all (10 so far). I have sort of a strange reaction to the books that makes it hard for me to figure out why I enjoyed them as much as I did. Now that I’m done I can’t say they were great literature or especially well-written, and a few were a bit creepy, but a few months after finishing the first I found myself going back to the feelings I experienced while reading it. I enjoyed the various plot twists in it and the subsequent books and found myself playing a game with myself to see how good a job I could do figuring out what the twists were going to reveal. That continued throughout the series. I strongly recommend reading them in order as many of the characters recur throughout, and all have arcs that develop over the course of the series. A character introduced in the last few books, Rebekka Franck, has a series of her own, so I guess that will be next. I also enjoyed the bit of a Jack Ryder novel included at the end of one of the books, so will likely read those as well.

An excellent book.......

This book told a story I had never heard before. I am a former Catholic who left Church for various reasons but I had not heard of the Magdalene Laundries or the way they stood the babies of these girls and told them that they died. That is despicable and cruel. I have a younger sister that became pregnant at 15 and if someone had taken her baby and told her it dies it would have destroyed her life. That girl and that baby; my sister and niece didn't have an easy life to start but they were meant to be together. The story of the priest with the family I find very easy to believe. Men wasn't meant to live alone and enforced celibacy is not natural. The Church will eventually be forced to give it up but how many more children's life's will be scarred by abuse, ECT. before that day comes. Thanks Willow for all your many books giving us such enjoyable reading experiences as well as many interesting facts we need to know along the way. Keep writing and I'll keep reading. Go Emma Frost , go!!

This is book 10 in the Emma Frost series, and the stories keep getting better. Emma and Morten take a vacation to Dublin, Ireland; however, they run right into trouble when they discover a dead girl floating in a river close to a field where the wild roses grow. The story is told at the present time and also from the perspective of a girl in the late 70's, Violet. Violet finds herself pregnant at 14, and she is sent to a Magdalene laundry where she is kept like a prisoner. I was astonished to learn about these facilities that used "fallen women" for slave like labor. The story kept my attention, and I learned some history about these homes.

I love Willow Rose and "Creepy"

I just finished the Emma Frost series. I absolutely loved every book in this series. So wish I wasn't at the end. All of these books grabbed me and I just kept reading and reading. Willow Rose is such a gifted writer. She is able to make the characters in her books so real. The stories she creates are so interesting and "creepy" at times. But not so far out there to be unbelievable. I am definitely a real fan and plan to read many more of her books. Thank you Willow Rose.

Emma Frost and her boyfriend go on vacation in the Irish Country and find a woman’s body in the lake with a rose in her mouth. Emma immediately wants to investigate and her boyfriend just wants to enjoy the vacation. When another body appears with the same rose in her mouth, Emma realizes the town has a serial killer. She goes to the police but they think the killings are accidental and dismiss her. However, Emma and her obsessive behavior can’t let it go and continue to investigate and discover that something strange is going on. When more bodies appear and someone tries to frame her for the killings, she is more determined to find the killer and clear her name.

This one was a little hard to stay with. I almost just said forget this and find another book . For one thing it is always the same thing and why dose she have to be fat in all her books . Yeah we all over eat but can't we get away from body shame in our books . Then it was so boring I was skipping over page just to get though it . But it ended well I am going to give this Author a rest for a while then maybe I will come back and be ready for more great reads .

Emma Frost Triumphs Again

It always amazes me how Emma Frost can be such a strong yet vulnerable character. I can identify with her emotional eating along with her taste for adventure. Her attention to detail is uncanny. I love how Willow Rose weaves together the story from the past and the present. And all those unique characters she creates! Can’t wait to see what Emma stumbles in to next time!

Suspense at its best

Another winner for Willow Rose. For me this is the last installment of Emma Frost who clearly has nine lives. Twists and turns like you have never experienced. The only negative would be the grammatical corrections the reader must edit in order to fully enjoy the story line. All in all a good read.

I am liking Emma less and less with each book in the series. She does whatever she wants without considering the consequences to herself and anyone else. After reading the reviews for the next book in the series this will be the end for me and Emma Frost. Too many other good books out there to read.

Who could believe that the Catholic Church could be behind the death and destruction of so many lives. Not really that no one really knew about the Magdalene laundries that use to be in existence to take care of young troubled women. A must read.

Fast read
