I learned on how to discipline myself... I learned to befriend my shadows -the dark side of my self and to integrate them for making me whole again.

my professor ate w/ this required reading tbh. Genuinely surprised but not surprised that this book isn’t more popular. Surprised because it’s incredible with profound thoughts/ideas, not surprised because more and more it seems spirituality and Jesus are being extracted & discarded from the world and people’s lives :(
This was a 10/10 for me. 5 ⭐️

Great book

Filled with deep spirituality, guidance for deepening a person's relationship with God, and encouraging revelations and insights. Highly recommended for anyone seeking to become more attuned with the Spirit.

Excellent and lovable approach on how to keep on accepting myself as I am. This process includes everything that lives inside me, with the certainty that Christ our Lord descend to our most feared and obscure parts of ourselves.

This book blends Jungian psychology and Christian Spirituality with depth and insight while connecting it to the human condition. I read the book several years ago and learned a lot about human nature and myself, so I am re-reading it to get a second helping.

Interesting book on barriers to God's grace and how we struggle with spirituality in the real world. I would recommend this book to anyone interested in pursuing spiritual direction. Each chapter opens up another aspcet of how we deepen our walk with the divine and how life gets in the way.

A great combination of psychology and spirituality. Emphasizes the importance of strengthening our humanity through human development, while remaining focused on our need for the divine.
