I shut the door in his face, and while I thought it was only my broken heart he left behind, that wasn’t the case. He left a child inside me.
And I kept it.
Now he’s back, and it’s time to face off with the only man I’ve ever wanted.
But can he forgive me?
Alex I think I’ve loved Elliot McDavid since the moment I met her.
She watched me for weeks, lusted after me, but never said a word. Even denied that she would work out just to see me. When I finally got her where I wanted her, she pushed me away.
She slammed her walls up and reinforced them with distance.
But now I’m back.
And she has secrets.
More than just the fact that she’s pregnant with my child.
She thinks I’ll let her get away a second time, but that’s not happening. I’m known for protecting the net, and I’ll protect her.

I am also a wife to my amazing husband, mother of a wrestler and a gymnast, and also a fur momma to Phoebe, Gaston el Papillon & Winston.
You can usually find me hollering for the whole Nashville Predators since I'll never give my heart to one player again. When I'm not in the gym getting swole, I'm usually writing, trying to make my dreams a reality or being a taxi for my kids. I'm obsessed with Harry Potter, Supernatural, Disney and anything that sparkles! I'm pretty sure I was Belle in a past life and if I could be on any show it would be supernatural so I can hunt with Sam and Dean.
I really liked the second book in this series and had high hopes for this one, but it was much the same as the first one for me. Not enough plot and too much steam. I loved the hero in this one but as a whole wasn't my favorite.
Toni Aleo writes my favorite hockey romances and this one was a bunch of fun.
This story involves Elliot, the social media director of the Knoxville Bears AHL team, and Alex ( Alejandro, sigh, just his name is hot), the goalie of the Bears. They were involved with each other - and yes, Elliott is trying to make it just about the hook-up - when Alex is called up to the NHL affiliate Nashville Assassins. When Alex is sent back 6 months later to gain more experience as a goalie (as the Assassins did not make the playoffs, but the Bears did), he soon finds out that Elliot is pregnant with his child. The rest of the book is Alex trying to break down the walls that Elliot had as a result of her childhood. Elliot is off her anxiety meds because of her baby and, of course, it makes her worry more and overthink too much. Elliot did make me frustrated and want to shake some sense into her! (Can't you see how right he is for you?!?) I really liked Alex - he was just the right mix of cocky confident guy and tender lover. When Elliot gets too wrapped up in her spiraling thoughts, he knows how to talk her down and get her to a better mental state. Together they are a great couple.
This is a steamy book and whew! get me a fan! Alex and Elliot are so hot together and I absolutely loved it!
This book is part of a small spin-off series set in the Knoxville area and, while it is part of a series, it can be read as a standalone. However my recommendation is to read them all! Start with Heavy Shot (it's part of the Next Gen Assassins series) and then read Pucks and Books and Pucks and Coffee...I think series always are more nuanced when read in order.
Okay, I was not prepared for how perfect Alex would actually be! I actually wasn’t sure that I would like him based off of the first book, but he is everything a book boyfriend should be!
I loved how Elliott insisted they were just FWB but Alex falls hard for her anyway, and it’s probably a good thing she does end up pregnant as Elliott was really stubborn and I’m not sure if even Alex would’ve been able to convince her to give him a chance. He is perfect for her with how patient he is, and luckily she ends up falling just as hard as he does.
The thing about goalies is they are always a little unhinged IRL, because you have to be to put yourself in front of a puck, and I appreciate how Toni really captured this, because she knows her hockey and that’s always obvious in all of her books. I think this was the spiciest book of the series so far, and it might just be my favorite as well!
I love this author and have read so many of her books but this one just fell flat. The little conflicts were resolved so easily there was no anticipation or build up connecting me to Elliot or Alex. There was a great moment in the first book of this series where Dimitri pulls Ciaran aside and basically says our girls have been to hell and back treat her right. I was fully expecting that kind of moment in each book. When all the current guys would give the new guy the treat her right speech. But it never happens. Total missed opportunity. There was also no tangible conflict to resolve or big build up so at the end when Elliot finally gave in it just felt flat. I loved the premise of the book, second chance and secret baby are always great and Alex is definitely my fave book boyfriend of this series. He was definitely the best part, but I think this book has the potential to be so much better.

Omg Toniii!!!! Loved, LOVED Alex and Elliot’s story! Pucks and Likes is book 3 I the Knoxville Bears series and I swear every book gets better.
If you haven’t swooned over one of her male characters yet, totally impossible, Alex Cruz is sure to be the man who does.
Elliot has been through a lot in her life and after giving into her feeling for Alex, he’s called up to the NHL. He doesn’t know it but she’s pregnant with his baby. And now he’s back. How can she tell him?
Lovedddd I cannot say it enough! Little angst and lots of emotions
I’ve read the books of the three other sisters so far let me tell you, Alejandro Benito Cruz is muy caliente! He knows what he wants and he goes after it. Elliot has past trauma that she hasn’t shared fully with even her sisters. Becoming unexpectedly pregnant means she goes off her medication which doesn’t help keep her demons at bay. Cruz knows there’s trauma there and proceeds cautiously. Once he learns of her pregnancy, he is all in!
Don’t start with book as it is mid-series. Definitely read it, however.
I love all of the characters in this series, but Alex and Elliot have taken the number one spot as my favorite characters. I wasn't sure about Alex at the beginning of this series, but I absolutely adore him now. He was so thoughtful, sweet, and protective. Alex and Elliot were so perfect with their sweetness and intense chemistry. I devoured this book and can't wait for the next one!
This new novel about the Knoxville Bears is a “he falls first” novel about the goalie, Alex and the Social Media Marketing Manager Elliot. Alex is so sweet and dedicated to Elliot and Elliot struggles so much with facing her feelings and communication. It was a great addition to the series and I recommend it to anyone who enjoys sports romance books!
5 Star Review Pucks and Likes (Knoxville Bears #3) by Toni Aleo Having read the previous books in the latest series from Toni Aleo I couldn’t wait to read Pucks and Links which was a fabulous addition to the series
This is Elliot McDavid and Alex’s story and it was a fabulous read. Elliot hasn’t had an easy life, in fact she craves safety after all the abuse she and her sisters has survived.
This is a second chance at love story and one that was emotional and ticked all the boxes for me.
When Alex returns he finds not only Elliot, the woman he loves but a child he never knew about. Will he be able to convince Elliot to take a chance?
This one wasn’t my favorite but it was still good. I really wanted more of her backstory, more time with peepaw, and more time with her sisters. I’m all for a steamy book but for some reason I felt like there was more sex than back story. I’m still excited to read the next book her in series

The heart knows what’s best!
Oh my goodness! What an amazing read! In book 3 in the Knoxville Bears series we get Elliot and Alex’s book and what an amazing rollercoaster of emotions. These two are really fun to figure out. Toni Aleo’s writing is flawless and her words are so engaging. The storyline was so entertaining and of course sweet, spicy and intimate I have been a huge fan of this author for years she never disappoints. She writes with so much intensity and emotion pulled from each book it’s felt page after page. Some are quick witted story lines are so perfect and lets you believe you have a front row seat. So being able to read this love story didn’t disappoint. Toni Aleo’s ability to have two separate individuals struggling or fighting in their everyday life and try to navigate someone else’s thoughts, needs and desires was intense and gives all the feels.

This book has everything I love in a book. Then you add that it's beautifully written and believable. It is easily a five star read. Written in single POV this story flows so incredibly well that the next thing you know your 80% into the book and loving every second of it. The believable way the characters interact is perfect. Run, Hop, Jump or use your (1 click) finger to do whatever you have to do and get this amazing book. It'll break your heart, you'll want to scream with frustration and it'll let you discover that love just might conquer all. The chemistry is steamy and sweet and oh so romantic.
Toni Aleo’s latest installment in the Knoxville Bears series, ‘‘Pucks and Likes’’, dives deep into the tumultuous romance between Elliot McDavid and Alejandro Cruz, delivering a spicy and heartfelt story of second chances and unexpected surprises.
Elliot McDavid, the resilient social media director of the Knoxville Bears, has always kept her heart guarded, scarred by her past in a cult-like upbringing. When she crosses paths with Alejandro Cruz, the Bears’ charismatic goaltender, their chemistry ignites a passionate affair that neither can resist. However, Elliot’s fears and insecurities lead her to push Alex away just as he’s called up to the NHL, unknowingly leaving behind more than memories.
Six months later, Alex returns to find Elliot pregnant with his child, forcing them both to confront unresolved feelings and fractured trust. Aleo weaves a tale of redemption and unconditional love as Alex becomes determined to break through Elliot’s defenses and prove they deserve a shot at happiness together.
Aleo excels in crafting characters with depth and authenticity. Elliot’s journey is poignant and relatable, her struggles with anxiety and self-doubt portrayed with sensitivity and realism. Alex emerges as a swoon-worthy hero, balancing alpha-male intensity with unwavering support and tenderness towards Elliot and their unborn child.
The narrative pulses with steamy encounters that underscore the magnetic pull between Elliot and Alex, while also celebrating the bonds of family and the healing power of love. Aleo’s prose sparkles with emotion, capturing both the highs of newfound romance and the challenges of navigating past trauma.
‘‘Pucks and Likes’’ is a must-read for fans of hockey romance and second-chance love stories alike. Aleo’s ability to blend passion with emotional depth makes this installment a standout in the Knoxville Bears series, offering readers a satisfying journey of love, forgiveness, and the joy of unexpected blessings.
P.S. ‘‘Pucks and Likes’’ can be read as a standalone, but I recommend you read the McDavid sisters’ stories in order. Here’s how it goes: Heavy Shot, Pucks & Books, and Pucks & Coffee.
Happy reading!

𝐏𝐮𝐜𝐤𝐬 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐋𝐢𝐤𝐞𝐬 is the 3rd book in the Knoxville Bears series by Toni Aleo, featuring super spicy surprise pregnancy, hockey romance for Alex and Elliot. Elliot McDavid survived a nightmare when she finally escaped the cult she and her sisters were raised in, but she hasn’t forgiven herself for the choices she had to make in order to do that. So when she met Alejandro Cruz and succumbed to their explosive chemistry, she ignored their growing connection and convinced herself it was only physical. As Alex pushed for more, she dug in her heels and shut down their arrangement altogether, right before he was called up to the NHL for a temporary stint. The problem? Alex left a gift behind that would change their lives forever. When he returns 6 months later to a very pregnant Elliot, he becomes a man on a mission to convince her to give them a chance!
Alex and Elliot set the pages on fire from the jump with his dirty talk and alpha possessive vibes, and her inability to resist him. I’m loving getting to know these amazing sisters who have endured more trauma than anyone should. Elliot’s emotions were authentic and I appreciated the way her anxiety was represented with such realism and grace. Alex swooped in like a superhero book boyfriend to show her the level of love and adoration she deserves! He touched my heart so much with his forgiving nature and his dogged determination. He’s all-in and he will convince her no matter what. I loved his mom, seeing more of her sisters and their men, and just reveling in that found family bond!! I’ll be honest, there were a couple moments that the frequency of the spicy scenes took me out of the flow of the story, yet I loved that Elliot found the freedom to express herself that way!🥰🤷🏼♀️ Bring on the next one!!
I received an ARC for free, and am leaving this review voluntarily. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️.5 🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶🌶️
Pucks and Likes is the third book in the Knoxville Bears series and while I feel it does help to read this series in order, you can read them as standalone books. I do feel like you pick up some finer details if you have read all of the books however.
Elliot McDavid is the social media director of the Knoxville Bears of the AHL. She is very good at her job and she loves what she does. Alejandro "Alex" Cruz is the goaltender for the Knoxville Bears and he too is one of the best at his craft. When Elliot and Alex met, the chemistry between them was unstoppable! While Elliot did not want anything committed, she just wanted it to be about hooking up, Alex was all in from the very beginning.
When Alex gets called up to the big club, the Nashville Assassins, he leaves to go chase his dream, but he certainly doesn't forget about the woman he has left behind. What he doesn't realize is that Elliot has found out she is carrying their child, but hasn't found a way to tell him. When he finally returns, he not only finds out about their child that Elliot is carrying, he is now on a mission to convince her to give a relationship a chance. Will he be able to convince her that they really do belong together?
I really enjoyed this book and how Alex supported Elliot and what she needed as she dealt with the idea of a relationship and how it would work if they were really a couple and not just hooking up. Alex was the type of man that every woman hopes for. He's patient, understanding and supportive. I really appreciated the way he reacted in the face of her anxiety. It was wonderful to see that type of support. This was a great read and I look forward to the next book that Toni Aleo has in store for us!
Primarily, Ms. Aleo, THANK YOU from my total heart, you and your books keep me sane (well mostly)! Thank you for sharing your phenomenal talents as a storyteller with your readers. I have loved every character… stop, I cannot tell a lie, right now I am on the fence with Elliot’s grandfather, so I will put it this way, I have LOVED every hero and heroine that you have ever written. Any time I am reading or listening to one of your books they come to life in my mind to the point that sometimes my heart is in my throat, when something serious is happening. Elliot and Alex are most definitely no exception to the above, even though I wanted to strangle Elliot a few times while she was… sorry Ladies, I do not want to give anything away. I will say this, I understand some PROFOUNDLY serious things had happened in her past, but Alex had NOTHING to do with them. I absolutely loved Alex! I cheered for Alex in every chapter and adored the way he would not let Elliot get away by pushing him away. Again, thank you, thank you, THANK YOU for sharing your wonderful talents with your readers. You do not know how often you have saved my sanity by reading and listening to your stories. I was gifted with a copy of this phenomenal story because of my love of romance books, and for my thoughts and opinions of the book. Thank you, T and F., Thank you for reading my review. If you love a great romantic story, with steam, you will love this book as much as I have. So, what are you waiting for? Go hit that purchase button and come back and let us know your thoughts on this book. We would love to know your thoughts.
SHEEESSSHH! Toni straight gave it to us with this book.
If you have the previous Knoxville Bears both Elliot and Alex had made their appearances but it's their time to shine and boy did they!
Elliot is emotionally disconnected from wanting a relationship and when her and Alex hook up she lets him know this. Feelings are starting to develop but he gets called up to the Nashville Assassins from the Knoxville Bears which makes it easy to cut ties, however, Alex left Elliot a little something. That being....pregnant!! Don't worry, Alex returns and he realizes how much he has missed her.
I enjoyed Alex. He was determined, knew what he wanted and went for it. He cared for Elliot and knew what she needed before she did! He loved with his whole heart and more.
Elliot was a tough cookie. She has experience a traumatic upbringing and is still working through it. Toni does such a fantastic job writing about the mental health struggles Elliot has. She wants love but she feels unworthy of it. I am glad she has Alex!!!
These two were hot together. I am seriously enjoying the crap out of this series. I am loving how this is set in the AHL !!! Toni has a way with writing a hockey romance and giving us hockey!!!
If you like: Surprise Pregnancy Hockey Romance (AHL) He Falls First Mental Health Rep FMC Boy Obsessed
Elliot and Alex! I was so excited to dive into this one and from the moment I picked it up, I couldn’t put it down. A book hang over was had!
Elliot has a lot of insecurities so much at some points I wanted to yell at her and be like girl get your man!! While she had insecurities, she had so many in her corner to support her. I mean if you read the other books you know everything her and her sisters have been through it is only fitting that they each have some battles to get through.
Enter Alejandro “Alex” hot hockey goalie, skills in and out of the bedroom and he wants Elliot something bad. She ultimately gives in as you can tell from the blurb for this book and winds up pregnant. Thing is Alex isn’t in town for quite awhile and she needs to break the news to him.
When these two reconnect, Alex can easily admit he’s in love with her, all the while she struggles and tries to push him away.
This book dives into Alex knocking down those walls and Elliot opening up in all aspects. Each the better for it. Alex is all green flags and Elliot deserves it. This is a book you’ll absolutely love to dive into.
I was given an advanced reader’s copy for my honest opinion. There will be no spoilers.
Let’s start with the facts… this book can be read as a standalone, but if you want a little more backstory, I suggest reading the other books in this series. While it is a hockey romance, there’s not much hockey in it. The sex scenes are very explicit.
Now, MY opinion… let me start by saying Ms Aleo is one of my all time favorite authors. I have read every single book she has written, some numerous times. I wanted to love this series, I really did. But, her writing style has changed in this series and I don’t know if I like it. Previous books are deep in storyline with a few sexy scenes mixed in. This series is mostly explicit sex with a little story thrown in. I enjoyed the story that was told but didn’t really care for the depth of the sex, it was a bit much for me. I felt like I was reading a porno in some places. Again, this is MY opinion.
Will I read the next book in this series? Probably, I like to know how it all plays out in the end.
Thank you Ms Aleo and crew for allowing me to review this book.
Pucks and Likes The Knoxville Bears series By Toni Aleo
This new edition to the Knoxville Bears is a fun read with great lines and interesting strong characters.
Alex is living his dream of playing in the NHL for the Assassins until he is sent back down to the Bears. He’s not happy about the move but the chance of spending more time with Elliott excites him. He regrets the way things ended with her but now he has another chance. Will he be ready for her reaction to his return?
Elliott has been hiding something and when her ex (a certain hot hockey player) returns she has to come clean. Is she ready for the consequences? She has scars from her past, can she overcome them and trust that Alex won’t hurt her. She is convinced that she can’t have what her sisters have even though that’s exactly what she wants.
I loved Alex’s strong will, sense of humor, and determination. My heart goes out to Elliott for what she had to go through growing up. She is strong but skittish and has secrets. He is determined to get what he wants and that Elliott.
Pucks and Likes by Toni Aleo is the third book in her Knoxville Bears series, but can be read as a complete standalone. I 100% know you'll love it though, so please check out the other two in the series – Pucks and Books, and Pucks and Coffee!
The last thing Elliot McDavid wants is a relationship. She just likes to hook up – especially with Alejandro Cruz – he’s been taking up all of her time lately. He wants more though. He wants the happily ever after– the only problem is, she doesn’t!
As soon as Alejandro set eyes on Elliot, it was love at first sight. He knew she was the one for him, the one he wanted to make his wife – but Elliot has never been down for any of that – she doesn’t see a white picket fence in her future at all.
Elliot plans to end whatever she has with Alejandro - he's getting too attached to her. But that's easier said than done, especially when she discovers she has a little one on the way and he’s the father!
I absolutely loved this! Toni Aleo’s writing is second to none. This series is definitely one you need in your collection! And I hope everyone finds a man like Alejandro - he's utterly adorable!
If you look up the word Swoon you most probably see a picture of Alex Cruz of the Knoxville Bears. The man will have you floating on a cloud with not only his sexy appearance and his sexy words but all the confidence you would want in a man. He is the staring goalie for the Bears and is definitely on his way to the big leagues but what’s important is the way he feels about Elliot McDavid. Elliot has a lot of past trauma in her life and it’s always knocking down her confidence in herself but when it comes to doing her job she is a badass and she definitely can’t help catching the eye of one Alex Cruz. She knows that he is going to be hard to resist but with each passing day he’s knocking down those walls a little bit at a time. Watching this couple navigate through a lot of emotional ups and downs they know that together they can do anything. Alex will always have her back and he will do whatever it takes to prove to Elliot that she is not only worth it that he will be her forever if she can just trust in him to show her what love is really about.
Pucks and Likes, book three in the Knoxville Bears series is simply an enjoyable story that held me hostage right from the beginning. It was so easy to fall for both Elliot and Alex as they navigated their time apart and then back in each other’s lives. They definitely have passion and chemistry even with the secret that changed both of their lives. Elliot McDavid is the head of the Knoxville Bears social media department and Alejandro (Alex) Cruz is the goalie that was called up to the Assassins for a while. Now he is back and wants Elliot back too. She however isn’t so sure. Elliot is caring so much baggage from her life in the cult and she doesn’t feel worthy or lovable. So when Alex says to her “No, mi sol. I’m going to love you whole.” He absolutely melted my heart. Deep down her heart has always belonged to Alex but trusting it is hard for her but it was obvious when she didn’t tell anyone including her sisters about the pregnancy because she wanted to tell Alex first. Deep down she wanted to share it all with him, but giving into her heart is the last hurdle.
Toni does it again!! These McDavid sisters get better with each book! Every time I pick a favorite, Toni brings in the next sister. Elliott is fiercely independent and protective of those she loves. She’s also suffering from the lingering effects of a hard upbringing. But she’s got a soft spot and his name is Alejandro Benito Cruz . (Shout out to my Latino men!) Alex is persistent and focused and hard working. He also wears his heart on his sleeve.. a heart that only beats for our Elliott! 💃🏻 🕺🏽 We know the story.. surprise pregnancy, but to be honest, this one felt a little different. Alex wanted Elliott so much, the pregnancy felt like a blip to me. I know it was a focal point and it was constantly on Elliott’s mind, but truthfully, we knew from the jump that it wasn’t Alex’s focus. I think that’s why I loved this book so much. He was determined to get his girl… the baby was just an added bonus. 😊 This book had me smiling, the spicy scenes had me blushing and the tidbits you sprinkled in left me excited for our little Clara..
I cannot say enough about these McDavid women. The life they endured is beyond imaginable but yet they are killing life.. Of course the men they find are just total badass. Elliot a total rockstar marketing god for her PeePaws team has eyes for one hot player. She can’t get him out of her mind. With years of bad relationships and a past she feels makes her unworthy, she’s determined to not make Alexejandro Cruz her future, until fate takes things into their hands and she finds her self pregnant with his baby. She can’t fight their attraction, Alex’s love, his passion and willingness to get her to see past her fears and be his.
Alex came from a single family home and no matter how long it takes to make Elliot his, he will do it, not just because he wants to be the dad he never had but because he wants to be the man Elliot deserves.
This book is a super, easy fun read. The characters are full of life and the way Toni tells the McDavid girls story is so heart-wrenching but yet so unbelievably compelling and courageous!
Alejandro aka Alex is a cinnamon roll. He is in love with Elliot but she has been holding him at arm’s length because of her past. When he gets moved up to the NHL, Elliot uses that reasoning on why she can never do relationships. She also finds out that she has some unexpected news growing. After Alex is brought back down, he sees Elliot. He notices something a bit different. It isn’t until they went to dinner that he finds out, yes shes pregnant. Yes, it’s his child. She has been pregnant for the past 5-6 months. He doesnt get angry just disappointed. He still tries to convince Elliot that he still wants her and not just because shes pregnant with his child. Alex is just a cinnamon roll but boy the mouth on him. Whoa. When Elliot finally sees that Alex truly means forever, she says yes and tells him her story. She is still scared that he will change his mind. Alex’s cinnamon roll ways proves to Elliot he truly accepts her. Their story is sweet with some spicy goodness.
Elliot still bears the emotional scars of her past which has her cautious when it comes to her relationships with others. When she meets Alex, the goalie for the team that she works in PR for, the sparks fly, and they give in to their attraction to each other. She isn’t ready for anything beyond the physical so she takes it as a sign when he is called up to the professional team however fate has other ideas when she realizes she is carrying his baby.
Alex knew that he wanted a future with Elliot however before he could show her he was called up the professional team. Now that he is back, he is determined to show her that they belong together and rather than being deterred by her pregnancy it only makes him more determined.
The chemistry between them was never in question but it is how Alex is so supportive both when it comes to their child and her past that makes their relationship so special. There is also a great group of family and friends who are there with them every step of the way.
Yet another hit by Toni! This one will give you all the feels, you're going to love Alex and Elliot! % hot hockey stars for this one! Elliot and Alex have been messing around for about three months, their attraction is so off the charts, but she doesn't think she's enough for him, especially with her past. When he gets his call up to the NHL, she basically says goodbye and he's hurt, and she knows it, but it's for the best. Fast forward six months, he's back in town, and she's hiding something, and it's big, and when he finds out, he refuses to let her go again. He's so swoony, and they are so hot between the sheets! Alex will do whatever he can to make her feel wanted and enough, but will Elliot let him fully into her life? I enjoyed this story so much, and this series is wow! Toni is back and I'm loving it! Grab your copy as soon as possible, you do not want to miss this! And grab the first two in the series, you will not be disappointed!
I thoroughly enjoyed Pucks and Likes! I have been anxiously waiting for Elliot’s story since the ending of Pucks and Coffee, and boy did Toni Aleo deliver. I absolutely loved getting to know more about Alejandro Cruz and fell in love with him. He was just so sweet, amazing, sexy 😏, and patient with Elliot.
We also get to learn more about Elliot and her history, which helps us understand her more. I loved watching her start to trust and love Alex throughout the story, and seeing more of her relationship with her sisters.
There was a lot of smiling, laughing, and giggling throughout the book as I read. It's full of the trademark Toni Aleo banter, humor, spice, and romance. I always enjoy Toni's books and getting to see more of the world she has created in her not-so-little hockey universe, and I can't wait to see what comes next.
I received an advanced copy of this book and am leaving this review voluntarily
This was a super cute and quick read!!! I absolutely adore Alex, he is the sweetest and when he knows what he wants, that’s it. I love his easygoing attitude and the fact that most things don’t phase him. And his teasing of his Scottish coach is just adorable.
Elliott was a very conflicted FMC and sometimes I felt like she didn’t deserve Alex, but then the author would remind us of her history and what she’s been through and why she is the way she is. I felt like she made things harder for herself than they needed to be, but I suppose if not it wouldn’t be much of a story! They needed to fight to get through to their HEA!
This is definitely a he falls first story, and I love those. I loved seeing more of Louisa and Ciaran from the first book, and Alex’s family were all wonderful.
I do think I liked books one and two just a tiny bit better because I wasn’t as invested in Elliott as I was Elise and Louisa, but still a great book! Can’t wait to read Claras’s story next!
