So, I love a good romantic suspense with the Bodyguard trope. This one unfortunately didn't completely hit the spot.

The writing was fine, but I missed the suspense. Even in dangerous situations, it didn't really feel dangerous. Which is ok, if the romance is good. However, I didn't feel a real connection between the two main characters.

Paige is trying to make a comeback in her acting career after being hit by bad press over a drug arrest. She overhears something about drugs and murder/s so Ryan is sent to protect her. Both are likeable, captivating characters with interesting backstories that make you empathize with them and are just sizzling off the pages, so of course we fall in love with them as they do with each other while navigating the danger that lurks.

I have also read the first book in this series, Protecting Charlotte, and really enjoyed this second book too. It is sweet and swoony and the suspense and intrigue add a different dimension to the love story. The author writes well and has certainly created a universe and an intricate enough plot that draws you in (as opposed to a full on mystery story, which this is not of course). It was fascinating as to how the story played out. The book is not very short but did not take too long to read either, which I appreciated because we are all busy people aren't we! I look forward to reading the next in this series.

I loved Protecting Paige Book 2 of Select Protectors Security Squad. Once again Paige is in trouble and Ryan is her new bodyguard. People have judged her and thought her guilty without knowing anything about the situations, Ryan being one of them. Then he meets her and he knows he was completely wrong about her. Now he’s protecting her and trying to protect his heart. The danger keeps coming and they are trying to get a handle on what exactly Paige stumbled on. This has drama, suspense and lots of steamy scenes. I loved the storyline and the characters. He’s a protector and she not anything like he thought. I would definitely recommend this book.

Christine Glover’s story is a great mix of suspenseful and romantic thrill, and is a terrific addition to this entertaining series.

Protecting Paige is Book 2 of the Select Protectors Security Squad series. It's a steamy, instalove, OTT, opposites-attract, girl gets her bodyguard romance. Paige is an actress trying to revitalize her career when caught up in some trouble that she overhears. Ryan is the hunky bodyguard sent to protect her. They had great chemistry, and we did end on a happy note after some drama. This was my first book by this author but not the last.

An enjoyable action packed suspense romance. Paige finds herself in need of protection when she overhears a conversation. Both Ryan, sent as her bodyguard, and Paige have past issues but cannot seem to avoid their chemistry together. The plot was a bit predictable but it was enough to keep me engaged. Will Ryan be able to keep Paige safe? Will they let go of the past to have a future?.

I enjoyed reading Protecting Paige. Once I started reading this book I didn't want to put it down. The characters are great and the storyline hooked me from the start. I don't want to spoil this book for anyone so I won't go into details. Please read the book blurb for some information. I recommend reading this book. I hope you enjoy it as much as I did.

Ryan and Paige. He is her bodyguard. She had a bad experience with her ex and was accused of a crime she didn't commit. People always believe the worst and he was no exception until he gets to know her and now they have to figure out what she unexpectedly overheard and save her. Loved this story. Exciting and suspenseful.

This story has what I like to read in a book: suspense with twists and romance. I liked how Paige knew she needed help and took it readily from Ryan, trusting him to keep her safe. The attraction they had from the beginning was off the charts. As the danger mounts and bullets fly, what started as an attraction escalates towards something more.

I enjoyed this book from start to finish. It has suspense, spice, and hot chemistry. Paige has been set up to fall for a crime she didn't commit, and Ryan has been sent to be her bodyguard until things are resolved. This book has some great twists, and the plot is intense. Great book!

Really enjoyed this read. A typical bodyguard not wanting to protect a starlet story, with a nice build to the romance and twisty bits too.
It’s not often you see so many antagonist get their comeuppance, but if you’re like me there was a definite YES! at some points of the read

A well written perfectly paced story pulling you in from the start. Paige finds herself in trouble because she over heard something she wasn't supposed to and calls a friend to get protection until it is straightened out. Ryan is hired to protect Paige until the truth is revealed. Action plenty to keep turning the pages to the end. Can't wait for more books to read.

When Paige overhears something she shouldn't, she reaches out to a friend who has connections in the private security sector. Paige has had some bad press but Ryan goes where he is needed to protect anyone. They both find they were wrong about the other and fight against their attraction as they navigate the danger she's in. It's a great read!
