As you all should know by now, Bridget is my favorite person ever. When we first met, it was right around the time she started writing the first book in this series, Double Reverse, and I’ve been stuck to her side ever since.

Double Shot is the fifth and final installment in the Double Verse and dare I say, my absolute favorite. I’ve loved Whiskey since I met him in book one and I just knew his story was going to be phenomenal. We follow along as he is trying to stitch his life back together when we are thrown brick after brick into our faces 😑 This book is full of passion, revenge, gore, emotion, and so much more than I can’t name without spoiling it. I am so honored to have been able to read this book before it’s even released to arc readers. If you haven’t picked up this series yet, PLEASE DO.

Whiskey has my heart

I was a Tango girl from day one but Whiskey just has a way with words. Slowly I fell in love with his questionable usage of plastic baggies and his take no bull attitude. Bridget concluded this series in the most epic proportions, not a surprise for this series. I have laughed and cried and then yelled at her and cried some more. I will miss each one of our alphabet playmates.

I was so happy to read this book. The spice was good. The i want to settle down and have a family someday. Still can't believe how the last book ended. I can't believe how much that book effect my mental statues.

This book made me emotional knowing it's the last in the series, but Bridget boy do I feel like I need a double shot of whiskey from reading this. Whiskey has a dark pass and we saw glimpses of that throughout this series... But I never could have guessed his history. All I can tell the reader is to hold on tight and prepare for needing a double shot by the end!!

THE AMOUNT OF EMOTIONS I EXPERIENCED IN THIS BOOK!

Double Shot tells the story of Whiskey, a truly complex, multi faceted cowboy, navigating childhood trauma while trying to face the unexpected twists the universe throws his way.

Bridget Hale did a phenomenal job writing Whiskey’s story. His voice came through so beautifully and she created a truly unique and engaging character that will stay rent free in my heart forever.

This book has trauma, angst, suspense, heartbreak, happiness, twist upon twist (literally scrambled my brain 😱😳) all wrapped up in a beautiful love bubble!!

Amazing chemistry and spice. Fantastic group of characters. Chilling plot.

I literally held it together until the epilogue where the dam broke and I just couldn’t keep it in anymore! 🥹🥹🥹 *buy tissues*

YES, YES, YES!!!

Highly recommend reading this series from book 1 to get the full experience.

Phenomenal!!!!! Double Shot dives into Whiskey's story, our mysterious, baggie totting, cowboy. You see whiskey move back to his hometown to his ranch, when he asks the pastor if he knows any good hands he gets more than he bargained for. A blast from the past and painful secrets are brought into the light. With a guest appearance from our other favorite men, they go on one last mission and this one is for someone precious. Can Whiskey find love, family and peace? Well i guess you will just have to read Double Shot and find out. Did i mention the spice is chef's kiss, so steamy. Please check your trigger warnings as this book deals with alot of sensitive topics.

Anyways to the book

Trigger warnings never bother me I don’t have any that I know of so do with that what you must

Seeing whiskey’s story was a need and Bridget sure did deliver it in all her glorious detailed writing that we all love

For real tho it gets pretty deep and if it were really the end it would be the perfect ending and ties up so much and be warned even if your a self proclaimed none cryer like myself you will indeed bawl 😭

Can we say book hang over! Wow! Whiskey story was more of journey I never knew I needed! I absolutely devoured this book🖤 Bridget you beautiful soul, you out did yourself,it was beautifully written, I felt everything , I saw everything, I was there with Whiskey and the crew! This book will make you smile, cry, go in to shock and awe! Book 5 of the DoubleVerse is a fantastic way to end the series! An excellent read, 5 ⭐️ would absolutely recommend you read books 1-4 first to really understand this one. 🖤

OK, I need a Double Shot of Whiskey after this book. You probably will, too. I was sure Bridget Hale was going to break my heart once again.
Whiskey may be a bit dark and demented. You can't help but love him, though. And I will probably never look at baggies the same way again. Getting to find out about his past and what makes him that way was a wild ride. If you have any triggers, I highly recommend you check the warnings.
It's sad to see the Double Verse come to an end, but I am excited to see what is in store next.

Took me way too long to finish the final book of this series and man I didn’t want it to finish it because it’s over. But Bridget this is an amazing series Whiskey finally gets answers. The amount of emotions I had for this book is crazy but good. I can’t wait for my physical copies to come in!! This is definitely a 100/10 most definitely recommend thank you for letting me arc read this entire series. Looking forward to your next work!!

I am speechless! I’m so glad everyone got their happy ending and I’m upset because it is the ending. Whiskey is my main man out of this series and after reading Double Shot I’ve learned so much more about him. The author gives us the past, present and future through Whiskey eyes and I absolutely enjoyed the ride. For those that haven’t read this series I highly recommend it and I highly recommend reading anything that this author publishes. I know without a doubt it’s going to be great.

I can't believe I am at the end of this series. There was so much closure in this book. A lot of feelings, some memories, and getting to see all of the guys for one last mission. I, forever, will be team Romeo but Whiskey has a place in my heart too. His story is dark and deep and emotional. I am just so happy that he finally got what he needed in the end.

She does a fanstatic job of letting us readers get to know Whiskey and the history behind him. The love story is sweet, and the spice is good with some extra family sprinkled throughout. Even though I'm sad to see the series it, this is a nice good quick wrap-up.

It took me several days after finishing this book to finally write my review… simply because I didn’t want to believe that this series is truly over.

Whiskeys story is full of so many different emotions. We finally learn his history, what made him who he is.


We travel to his hometown with him, we relive past trauma that’s gut wrenching, but find redemption that brings happy tears.

This book was honestly my favorite of the series and not just because of the characters in this book (if you know, you know)


I want to thank the author for giving me a series to love so much.
