This book kept me guessing from the moment I cracked open the covers. Filled with treachery and twists, there really wasn’t any part of this story I saw coming. I adored the chemistry between Fallon and her new co-workers, and roughly half the twists we encountered were directly related to her personal life. I don’t know what the author has up her sleeve for the next book, but I’m already itching to get my hands on it. I received a complimentary copy of this book through Booksprout.
This has been the best book to date for Special Agents Fallon and Jack and Buddy. Honestly, I feel like Addison has finally started to make these characters come alive as they do in her cozy series. We begin with the killer and their feelings of invisibility to those around them. In the mind of this killer, they are the victim. But this victim kills, maims and kidnaps to lead over investigators on a roller coaster ride of action. From more murder to the kidnapping of one of their own, there is a lot of action in this book without counting the mafia development on another front. Speaking of another front, we also get more family stuff for both Fallon and Jack with the siblings they have and those MIA. Jett makes the biggest strides in this book to become a good character. The book really felt like it was hitting its stride, especially with some series hints of a romance coming for future books (maybe more than one.) The author also did a nice job of building a red herring suspect who was not what was expected. I'm anxious to see what is coming next as this was the best book to date in this series.

Amazing, greatly detailed, keeps you guessing, FBI Mystery Drama!! Fallon Baxter is an FBI Agent working with Federal Agent Jack and Special Agent Nikki in the Denver area. An unusual murder occurs in a lake house cabin where all four occupants were well-known mystery writers. They were in town to present at the Sugar Pine Lake Annual Thriller Fest with about 50 other thriller writers. There have been many twists and turns in this investigation and Fallon is hopeful that tonight's event may give them the final clue they need to solve the case. But, things don't go exactly as planned and danger is closer than they think. The storyline will definitely keep you guessing. Don't hesitate to get this book. It was an amazing and well written novel. Can't wait to read the next in the series!.

It has been a long time since I have read a mystery that I haven't figured out before the end...but I was kept guessing with this book!
The story is the third in the Fallon Baxter series, but can be read as a standalone.
The multiple POVs kept this book exciting and interesting. We begin with the hunter and the prey. It's clear the hunter has an agenda, but we are not privvy to it. By the end of the night, 2 are gone, 1 is injured and 1 is missing.
As Fallon and her partner Jack (along with the absolutely adorable dog, Buddy) try to piece together the events, they are finding it difficult to make a solid connection. Will they find the missing person in time?
There are also side plots with Fallon's sister and the undeniable attraction Fallon and Jack feel. I can't wait to read more!!!.

The pen may be mightier than the sword, but either can kill in the right circumstances. And it is up to our hero and heroine to figure out who did the deed before they strike again.
This is book three of the series, but each story is written as a standalone. No prior reading is required.
This is a detective mystery with an FBI heroine. The story is well written and easy to read with a well developed cast of victims, errr, characters. Our heroine is tough and smart which are going to be essential traits if she is going to solve this case. The mystery is a good one with lots of twists and turns which keeps things moving at a solid pace. Overall, an excellent story and I look forward to more in this series.
Highly recommended.

Never a dull moment in the lives of Fallon and Jack. Always searching for her missing sister Erin, they get a lead. Her sister with a known mafia criminal caught on video accepting money from him. Their plans to track them down get side tracked when at a lake cabin, 2 couples, a wife and husband are found shot to death, the other husband is shot, knocked out and survives to discover his wife missing. Has she been kidnapped, or was she a part in the murders? Fallon gets an offer to have her sisters whereabouts revealed IF she promises to grant 3 tasks to the mafia as a dirty FBI agent. Will they find the missing wife and is she still alive? Will she go for the deal to have an easy way to find her sister, or...? Another mind blowing page turner from Addison Moore!
This was a good addition to the series. There was more detail on Jack and Fallon's romance/relationship as well as their siblings.
The very first chapters had the killer's thoughts and deeds become apparent which gave this book an ominous feeling. As I moved through the story, I wondered how the author managed to provide that ominous tone without the book feeling dark, heavy, and twisted.
Maybe it was the sarcastic, fun banter between Jack and Fallon, or the way they have that banter with their siblings, or even the way everyone seems to love Buddy.
Overall, an enjoyable fast paced read that kept me changing my mind about who I suspected as the killer.

Sugar Pine Lake …where past transgressions will finally be retributed …
A group of writers is staying at a lake-side cabin before the Sugar Pine Thriller Fest. Cornwall and Cynthia Beck are staying with friends Lydia and Damien Cole at their lake house when Cornwall and Cynthia get shot one night while sleeping (almost on her part). Special Agent Fallon Baxter, born and raised in Pine Ridge Falls, is sent to enquire with Agent Jack Stone. It’s the first book I read in this series and I was a bit confused with all those characters appearing left and right plus the story line about Fallon’s missing sister … but the dog makes an awesome character!.

I really love all the different series that Addison Moore puts out. This series is a little different since its more of a thriller/mystery type, but I am loving every book so far!
Fallon Baxtor (FBI extraordinaire) is working in Denver with Jack and another SA where an unusual murder happens at a remote lake house cabin. What’s bizarre is that all the people who were murdered happened to be mystery writers as well. They have to work fast to solve this crime while being twisted and turned in every possible direction.
I love the characters and am seeing a bit more romance between Fallon and Jack developing – which I am excited about. Cant wait to see what happens next!
Sugar Pine Lake Thriller Fest….the setting for a writer’s retreat. Everything is neat….until it isn’t!? Things take a sinister turn when two bodies turn up with one writer missing and the other left injured. What IS going on? FBI agents Fallon Baxter and Jack Stone are entangled in …..well untangling a dark web of jealousy, and deception and dark secrets. This is both chilling and thrilling , just the norm then for a Fallon Baxter FBI story Brilliant reading from opening pages by Addison Moore . I’ve been a huge fan for ages of this fine author’s writing , always eventful, insightful and exciting . Bravo!.

Lake House Killer is the third book of Fallon Baxter FBI Mystery Series. This series pulls you in and to the problem solving from the beginning. This series is focusing on Fallon Baxter and her return to her hometown and hope to finding clues to the painful past she has been carrying for years. The body’s count keeps increasing and the number of people disappearing while investigating the case is on the rise as well. Just when they think they might be narrowing in on the prime suspect something happens to make them question their thoughts. Will they find the missing before it is too late? Will that give them there killer? Or is there more than one suspect?
FBI special agent Baxter and her team in Colorado are called out to Sugar Pine Lake where a new mystery awaits them. Two dead mystery writers, a wounded mystery writer, and a missing mystery writer await them. It's up to them to find out what's going on before more writers at the special event are knocked off while also continuing the search for Baxter's missing sister who apparently has connections to the Mafia. This is an exciting, thriller mystery that will hold your attention till the end.

When FBI agent Fallon Baxter and her fellow agents, Jack and Nikki are called to a writer's retreat for multiple murders, they will have to follow the twists and turns revealed in order to solve the murders and find a missing author. Fallon also discovers more information about her missing sister. Will she catch a killer, find the missing author, and find her sister, or will the mystery keep unfolding with more questions than answers? This is the 3rd book in the Fallon Baxter FBI Mystery series, and is intriguing as it has multiple storylines within each book.
I do love a book that's a mystery and has writers in it so seeing how Fallon and Jack deal with everything going on at Sugar Pine Lake was a treat. Seeing Fallon and Jack's relationship change and grow from their first prickly meeting along with how things are changing with how they work together especially when there are some twists they need to uncover makes for great reading. This series continues to grab me and can not wait for the next!.

I am absolutely loving this series by Addison. Especially the will they won't they with Jack and Fallon, they are clearly attracted to each other, but something is holding them back. Nikki their other partner is a fire cracker and a law unto herself, she's great. I especially love this book because it is about authors 😁 There are two couples, who are all authors, staying at a cabin, owned by one of the couple. They are getting ready for a book signing event, when the nightmare begins. This is where our Special Agents come into it. The book is fast paced and a real page turner, and it leaves you guessing who dunnit until near the end, when everything comes together. Although there are plenty of red herrings along the way. I'd definitely recommend this book/series 👌.
FBI Agent Fallon Baxter is back in Lake House Killer book three in the Fallon Baxter FBI Mystery Series. When two bodies are discovered at a writer's retreat in Sugar Pine Lake Agents Baxter and Stone are called in to investigate. This is a well written, suspenseful murder mystery with a story that held my attention and had me trying to figure it out from the first page until the last. I recommend this book, this series, and this author to everyone who loves murder mysteries. I voluntarily reviewed a copy of this book.
Lake House Killer is book #3 in the Fallon Baxter FBI Mystery series by Addison Moore.
This was the first book I’ve read in this series, but I’ve read many other books by Addison Moore and this did not disappoint. This was a roller coaster ride with all the twists and turns. I like the characters and look forward to see how things develop. I’ll be catching up on the earlier books while I wait for the next book.

Another exciting thriller staring FBI agent Fallon. The story flows well, the main character descriptions enable you to visualize them and a few twists to keep you guessing on whodunit. My one complaint is the amount of case information details Fallon and her partner Jack tell others during their investigation. Looking forward to the next book in this entertaining series.

Fallon, Jack, and Nikki investigate the mysterious murder and kidnapping while also finding clues about Fallon's missing sister. A lot of secrets are revealed and one of the team finds themselves in peril. This page-turner can be read as a standalone although it did set up the next book in the series. There is a cute canine who helps find clues as well and the author assures us he will be in future books in the series.
Fallon and Jack find themselves trying to figure out a double homicide, a wounded husband and a missing wife. Their investigation centers on a few people. Told from multiple POV's, the story was entertaining. It was my favorite of this series so far. Fallon and Jack are then tasked with finding one of their own when the killer takes a member of their team. There were still some unanswered questions as the end, but I did read it in one day. I am interested to see what happens next.
Sorry to say that I really don't agree with a lot of the critics on this one. It was a pretty lame mystery murder with a couple of protagonists who seemed more like love sick teenagers than FBI agents. I certainly wouldn't want them investigating my murder! The story also barely went two pages without them talking about their dog. I found the whole book very annoying and certainly wouldn't bother with the rest of the series.
I really don't agree with a lot of the critics on this one. The murder mystery was similar to book 2 so it was easy to guess who was "evil". The overuse of "slipping a smile" and like phrasing distracted from the story line. To quote another reader "the protagonists seemed more like love sick teenagers than FBI agents". None of the primary characters has much depth. Too many interjections about food and the dog and food for my taste.
Jack and Fallon investigate a double homicide and a kidnapping. I like the evolving friendship between the two agents and of course the delightful Buddy who steals the show. This is a really good series and like the overarching storyline of the search for Fallon's sister. The story is gripping and although there are dark themes, there is enough humour to make it entertaining and enjoyable.
This book was a great read as the team tries to figure out who is behind the murder and kidnapping at the writer's retreat. There are plenty of twists and turns for the characters, including some personal ones. Recommend this book to everyone to read.

Lake House Killer is the third book in the Fallon Baxter series and in my opinion the best so far! Another great mystery by Addison Moore that will keep you guessing until the end! I can't wait to read the next book in this series, highly recommend for all mystery lovers!.

Lake House Killer is the third book in this series focusing on Fallon and Jack's investigation into a kidnapping and serial murders of mystery writers at a retreat. I absolutely fell in love with this book as it was filled with great characters (including Buddy the canine), plot twists, mystery, danger and family issues.

Jack and Fallon are against the clock to find their partner Nikki. There is a murder out there and they have few leads. Fallon has shared to much information with her older sister with her hunt for their sister. Riley and Jet (Jack’s brother) have made a deal with the mob that leaves Jack and Fallon exposed.
Mystery, Suspense, Thrill and Chills. This is book is jam packed with all of it, everything needed to make a fantasticly entertaining read. I had a great time reading and look forward to more. Well done to the author!
