Angelo is such a soft and protective hero — sweet, patient, and totally swoon-worthy. His interactions with Allison made my heart melt more than once.
Loved Allison, her character development was well-written. She starts off unsure and a bit guarded, but we see her evolve into someone stronger and more emotionally open as the story progresses.
The chemistry between the two main characters is immediate, but their relationship develops slowly -and it's worth the wait!
One of the highlights for me was the sibling dynamics. Both leads have meaningful relationships with their siblings, adding warmth and depth to the story.
Yes, if you're looking for a light, fast-paced romance with a decent amount of spice (3/5 🌶️)!

Before I begin, I would like to point out that all reviews are subjective to the reviewer. Just because this book wasn’t for me, then it doesn’t mean it was necessarily bad or not for you.
First off, this was a fast DNF for me.
The story had potential and I was drawn by it.
First, and most important, the whole narrative made this book unreadable for me. The writing was over explanatory and very repetitive for me, and I cringed so much over the characters constant mumbling and teenage attitude. And it didn’t help that the book was written in 3rd person, which just isn’t for me.
Overall this books writing didn’t feel sufficient enough to deal with the book's themes but also because it felt very superficial.
Again this was my experience and opinion of this book, but I know a lot of people who enjoyed this story immensely so give it a try if you like the blurb.

This would not normally be my go to type of book, I usually avoid the colour pink (I'm a dark colour fan) and unexpected pregnancy stories but after reading this, l've seen the light (shade of pink that is)
Allison and Angelo sucked me in from the get go. It resonated with me in such a crazy way. My own first pregnancy was unexpected but wasn't from a one night stand and my father was far from pleased, but like Allison, that is when I began sticking up for myself.
My husband (then boyfriend) was very much like Angelo, hands on and involved every step of the way. The story is about so much more than the unexpected pregnancy though, it is about finding your inner strength, knowing you are good enough and can do anything. It is also about family, rekindled friendships, a romance that shouldn't be and so much more!
Nina has done an incredible job with these characters and all others throughout the book. Such an emotional read, but so so worth it. A book I couldn't put down until I finished, I look forward to every future book and highly recommend everyone to pick up Love or Tequila in Unexpected Places, it's one you don't want to miss.

Have you ever had too much tequila?
Allison apparently not and when she does, unexpected and great things happened.
Our FMC is Allison a sweet,funny, self-conscious, curvy girl but also a sexy, dynamic woman who knows what she is capable of and what she deserves. Like all normal people she has her insecurities and tries her best to be the best daughter ever was and doesn't know the meaning of loosen up. Up untill she decided to go out one night and let loose. That's when she met Angelo, a brooding, sexy as hell, half greek God i mean man (who cooks for crying out loud) and everything changes.
I couldn't stop laughing in the first pages, literally one of the best beginnings in a rom-com story. Their chemistry vibes out through the first pages and captivates you to read on to find out what happened. Oh and the spicy scenes are so hot 🥵. Her writing is smooth, keeps you engaged to their story, their feelings and how they cope their situation and the persons around them. It's amazing how they were bonded through this and how in love they have been and haven't realised. It has a plot that has a lot of depth, and the character development is so good. The characters are all so lovable, except for Allison's dad (what an asshole pfff).
Honestly I can't wait to see what Nina will do with the next book.

Omg! This book and the author of it!
With every sentence I was reading, it was like I was getting deeper and deeper into the universe of the book! Nothing else mattered until I finished the whole thing. My emotions were a roller coster the entire time. But, that's me.
Allison and Angelo! What a couple..! They are so unique and unstoppable together!
They can make your heartbeat feel like a fire! I loved all the characters! Maybe not, all of them.. if you know, you know!
As for the author of this wonderful masterpiece, Nina Gia! I already love her, and her book! She is sweet,understanding, caring, loving, cute, and a magnificent person who can stole your smile.
If you like rom-com books, I would recommend you to give it a try and you'll remember what I'm saying.

I'm no stranger to watching romantic comedies with my wife, but I don't read them. At least, not until now. But after a couple of dark horror books in a row, I wanted something light and fun and this hit the spot.
Fans of spice will enjoy the relatively slow burn that flares up into wildfire. Alison and Angelo smolder together! But there's a lot more depth to their story that begins with an impulsive one night stand, then leads to an accidental pregnancy that threatens to tear two rich and powerful families apart.
The two protagonists are ably supported by a convincing set of secondary characters, and there's plenty of family and high finance intrigue to keep the plot ticking over. A very fun read!

when I enjoy a book I enjoy it! so yes! 5 stars. I loved their romance and chemistry and all the other things around that I won't say because of spoilers. Nina Gia wrote a very good story. I felt like I was watching TV after school (In Greece we leave school around 2pm and eat home and then we do other things, like homework.) so I always watched my favourite shows at lunch to take a break from school and then start my homework. with that story I felt like that. it has spice, twists and a good plot. Definitely deserves to be read.

I dove into this rom com, kinda prepared of what to expect cause I'm close with the author and was there when she started it.
I was completely impressed by her writing character. I could see clearly her little marks on her characters. I'm so proud of you Nina, cant wait for your rest work to come ❤️

I'm a mood reader, and my mood wasn't mooding for a rom com these days.
Buuut I enjoyed the ride. I love the humour in the dialogues and the "thoughts" from both of the MCs. The story was solid, and it left no questions or gaps. Angelo really is amazing. I love Allison's power and independence. Her dad is an a.s.s. sorry not sorry.
It was cute and romantic, the spice was surprisingly goooooood. I did expect more greek in the story but Okey. I also looove drama, and I missed it in this one.
Favourite scenes was the flash back!!! Personally the best part of the book 🤫🥵 IYKYK
Overall LoTiUP is a fun reading romance, and totally recommend it if you want to fall in love with a Greek God aka Angelo 🤭

I knew from the prologue that this was going to be good because I was laughing at the start. I was immediately able to relate to our FMC, Allison, because tequila leads to wild nights for me, too 😂. When Allison finds out she’s pregnant and looks at the pregnancy test, she says “‘Are you serious?’...as though it could respond,” and I mean, been there! Definitely a shock when things click in your brain that your life as you know it is about to change forever no matter how prepared you think you are. SO relatable under a variety of circumstances!

Nina’s writing style was refreshing and she was able to capture such relatable qualities within the FMC, Allison. Allison is curvy, sweet, funny, not always confident within herself and her decisions due to anxiety, and doesn’t always feel seen and accepted for how her brain operates. Angelo, our MMC, is a half-Greek God who is a possessive alpha intent on showing HIS WOMAN that she belongs to him just as he belongs to her, and he sees her and values her for ALL that she is…excuse me while I swoon so hard I faint. Both MCs were so lovable!
I know that this is listed as a rom-com and there are so many quirky, angsty, tension-filled and humorous moments, but there is also SO much depth to this story as well. The characters are complex and the plot holds significance for character development. While you do feel warm and fuzzy, you also truly go on a journey with the main characters and there are so many beautiful moments that speak volumes. I, for one, felt seen through the FMC because I shared a similar experience in chapter 34, and the visibility brought to that situation was therapeutic in a way I didn’t realize I needed.
If you’re looking for a feel good romance that focuses on growth, give this a try!

First of all, this book has been highly anticipated read for me this year. Not only because it is an amazing book, but so is the author Nina who is also my dear friend. 🫶🏼
Without further ado, let’s dive into the book. OMG this was such a SLOW BURN let me tell you. The tension, the build-up and the amount of almost kisses were driving me as crazy as our hot as something Angelo.
May I just dedicate this review to Angelo, because man oh man that is a MAN. He is strong, yet caring. He is just so considerate and so gone for Allison and their baby. My heart literally melt most of the time when Angelo was mentioned or he spoke. 🫠🩷
Nonetheless, even though I am totally swoon by Angelo, he was not perfect and I actually enjoyed it. He did mistakes like any other human being, while being very handsome and goodhearted. I got to say that I related to Allison at time a lot and felt so proud of her growth. All the other characters, except her awful dad, were very entertaining as well. 🤭
Allison is another amazing character. I could so relate to all her anxious thoughts and overthinking, but she is as well very strong and she showed growth in multiple occasions during the book. We all can probably relate with insecurities and it was shown through Allison so well, but she didn’t let her insecurities scare her away from something she wanted such as her baby or stop her living HER life.
Also our bestie Amira was so amazing. I loved their friendship between Allison and Amira. One more thing that was so relatable was friends reconnecting after years. When it is a true friendship even if it takes a while to reconnect, it feels like no time passed at all. I really loved this and their friendship, made me teary. 🥹🫶🏼
This book was perfect. That is how I feel after reaching the end of it. Oh, and especially the prologue. And the teaser for the next book. 👀 Ooff girl, you are such a tease. I just cannot wait to read more!!

But Allison Pink Lockwood has, and boy does she tell a story!
I was lucky enough to Alpha read LOTIUP for Nina, and let me tell you, I loved it the first time, and I loved it the second time.
Both times, this rom-com had me smiling and kicking my feet, laughing out loud, and maybe even shedding a tear in the heavier scenes.
Nina writes Allison to feel so real. Her worries are exactly how a woman worries, and her fears of motherhood are the same ones we all have. She’s beautifully well rounded, strong, fierce, and perfectly imperfect. I’d be her friend if she promised to never bring out her claws at me 😆
Angelo. Our half-Greek MMC is a strong leader in business but turns into a mess over the woman who carries his child—and so he should!
Nina said it right when she told me that, “Angelo is basically a walking, talking €r€cti0n when it comes to Allison.” He’s smitten and head-over-heels from the first minute he sees her, (and sexy as hell in the bedroom!), but lord help me can he take down a foe in the boardroom—one that happens to be Allison’s father!
Thats the kind of man we love. A protector, a provider, a man who just wants to be there for his family.

I was lucky enough to Alpha read LOTIUP for Nina, and let me tell you, I loved it the first time, and I loved it the second time.
Both times, this rom-com had me smiling and kicking my feet, laughing out loud, and maybe even shedding a tear in the heavier scenes.
Nina writes Allison to feel so real. Her worries are exactly how a woman worries, and her fears of motherhood are the same ones we all have. She’s beautifully well rounded, strong, fierce, and perfectly imperfect. I’d be her friend if she promised to never bring out her claws at me 😆
Angelo. Our half-Greek MMC is a strong leader in business but turns into a mess over the woman who carries his child—and so he should!
Nina said it right when she told me that, “Angelo is basically a walking, talking €r€cti0n when it comes to Allison.” He’s smitten and head-over-heels from the first minute he sees her, (and sexy as hell in the bedroom!), but lord help me can he take down a foe in the boardroom—one that happens to be Allison’s father!
Thats the kind of man we love. A protector, a provider, a man who just wants to be there for his family.

I do not have enough good things to say about this book! I read it over two days and did not want to put it down to tend to my adult responsibilities. I was completely immersed in Angelo and Allison's story!
Angelo and Allison are at the heart of the story, with an unexpected pregnancy resulting from a one-night stand. However, Allison's father and Angelo are business rivals. This twist causes a huge rift in the family until Allison's overprotective brothers realize that Angelo wants to step up and care for Allison and the baby. Allison must let her guard down, allow Angelo to care for her, and give her the care and love she needs during a stressful time.
The author creates a fun, sweet story filled with likable characters who embark on a journey of growth individually and as a couple. Angelo must learn to get along with and prepare to have a child with a woman who is much different than him. Allison must learn to accept that she doesn't have to do everything by herself and is worthy of love just the way she is (I can really identify with Allison's tendencies to overthink). Both of them learn different aspects of self-acceptance and how to love. I also really like how the author depicts both Allison and Angelo as people who need to grow in certain aspects of their lives and are bettering themselves for each other and their future child.
Just remember, sometimes the best things in life are unexpected! And Nina writes a sweet story that pulls at your heartstrings and makes you believe in love all over again! (PS- the epilogue was one of my favorite chapters!)

This was definitely a cute read! Angelo & Alison struggled a lot through out their relationship, considering the start, but they worked hard for each other. They discovered new emotions, discovered their feelings for one another & how to approach them, they discovered their new favorite positions 🤭🌶️ & most importantly, they learned to fight for their love.
I feel like Alison’s insecurities & anxiety are something very relatable. Her constant worry if she is bothering others or in the way being the result of that. Reading how with the help of people who really cared for her, she managed to over come her insecurities & realize how much she worth & loved was amazing 🎀💗
Watching Angelo develop in his communication skills was really great, especially when he realize how important it was to communicate with Alison to help easy her anxiety. He always put his family first no matter what, because of his love for Alison, that lead to even more unexpected friendships. 💙

Wow, wow, Wow, where do I even begin? Love or Tequila in Unexpected Places completely stole my heart, and I’m not even mad about it!! First off, Allison? What a powerhouse! She’s strong, determined, and felt so real to me. Like, if I could have her confidence and grit, I’d be unstoppable. She’s the kind of woman you want on your side no matter what life throws at you. I loved watching her tackle everything head-on and still manage to keep her heart open for love. -swoon
And then there’s Angelo. Oh my gosh, where do I sign up for my very own Angelo? Talk about swoon-worthy! He’s got that perfect blend of protector and genuinely good guy, the type who just makes you melt. I couldn’t help but fall for him right along with Allison. This was such a cute rom-com! I usually avoid the unexpected pregnancy trope, but I decided to give this book a try and I'm really glad I did!
I absolutely love rom-coms and this was just perfect for me. There were so many laugh out loud moments that had me cracking up.
Those last few chapters had me so stressed out! I Couldn't put the book down. I just needed to know what was going to happen. I'm so glad that everyone and everything ended up being alright at the end.
There is going to be a book 2!?!? When i read "The End (kind of)" I knew we would be getting more. I'm really hoping that it's going to be about Johnathan and Katia. With the way they acted throughout this book, I have a feeling something is going on with them. And mentioning that John wasn't there at the end? It has to mean something!

The slow-burn sometimes made me want to throw my kindle out of the window (in a good way), when someone got between them 😂
I was really entertained by the storytelling, it was so funny and well-written that I just flew over the pages. It also had some really deep moments to let you think. And the spice 🥵 don’t get me started on this one… it was hot and steamy. The way he calls her “sweet girl” 🤭🦋🦋🦋

Nina brought me on a whole emotional roller coaster with her debut book. I’m not usually a fan of books written in 3rd person view. But THIS! This book was so good that I finished reading it in one sitting. I couldn’t bring myself to put it down. I needed to see how Allison and Angelo worked through the pregnancy together. How they faced Allison’s brothers and father when they had to tell them who the father of the baby was.
I loved that Allison has supportive brothers despite her tense relationship with her father. Her brothers and Angelo were a really great support for her as she learnt to overcome her insecurities. I enjoyed the cute sibling banters too! It gave me a good laugh.

This book was awful and it nearly killed me to finish it. I had to stop and read a different book in the middle of it.
It’s a third person narrative with different chapters for each character~ awful.
The over explanation for EVERYTHING~ awful.
The FMC was a total c u next Tuesday, I think she was meant to be funny and cute but she wasn’t. She was ~ absolutely awful.
How they fell in love I have no idea because there was NO relationship building between the two of them ever. ~awful
The timelines didn’t always line up either which is REALLY
annoying. “Omg I woke up in his bed why didn’t he wake me and have me to go my bed” Mmc is inthe kitchen cooking dinner. “I’m up early to take care of work and make breakfast” goes to bring breakfast to fmc and she asks what time it is. He says it’s 11. Oh. Okay. Then it went from January to march like no time passed.
Overall, the book was ~absolutely awful~ I do not recommend.
It’s a third person narrative with different chapters for each character~ awful.
The over explanation for EVERYTHING~ awful.
The FMC was a total c u next Tuesday, I think she was meant to be funny and cute but she wasn’t. She was ~ absolutely awful.

Allison and Angelo had me giggling and kicking my feet. The connection they had from the beginning was so sweet. But oh my, the slow burn was killing me slowly. The think that surprised me the most was the communication between them. No lies, no scheming, nothing. It was amazing. The plot was a little bit slow for my liking but thinks got interesting pretty quickly. Both characters were well written with their flaws and everything, and of course, anxiety. Which matched perfectly with the hilarious inside monologs.
When I reached the final chapter, I want to see more of them and their baby, but i didn't have the chance. I hope we get to do that in the next book of the series.

Omg this book was really cute!
It had its funny moments, but it also had a lot of cute awe moments along with some spice! 😉
Allison gets a big surprise after a one night hookup and it’s funny because it was the ONE NIGHT she said f it and decided to finally have some “fun” LOL
Angelo isn’t the “love” type that is until Allison, ever since he met her he couldn’t get her out of his head then they finally bump into each other & well.. you know 🤭🤭
I loved how he became Allison’s person to help her when her thoughts / panic attacks spiraled. I also loved how he always paid attention to her and always put her first!!🥹🥹💓
I would love to see a second book with Katie and Johnathan (not sure if I spelled it right) 😅🤭
