For months, tensions have been high between Raven and Abby. But when Abby reaches out in need, Raven can't refuse her best friend.
Enter Blake Emerson.
With his striking blue eyes, Blake embodies everything Raven despises about their world-arrogance and a pompous attitude.
Forced into an uneasy partnership, Raven and Blake clash at every turn. Can they learn to work together, or will they discover an unexpected connection that changes everything?
Whirlwind Redemption is book three in this series and is my favourite so far! It gives a romantic comedy revenge energy that effortlessly blends the tension of enemies-to-lovers with the complexities of a best friend's ex storyline. The story sparkles with witty banter, almost moments and palpable chemistry. The tension between our two MC's could be cut with a knife 🫠
Raine beautifully navigates the dynamics between Raven and Blake. These two have a serious history and are pushed to work together. 🌪️ Raven is stunningly grumpy FMC 🌻. She is fiercely independent and protective of her world. Blake is our sunshine ☀️, he is charming and warm. He is trying to move on from his past mistakes and be seen as more than just his family money. When they come head to head, it's magic. Throw in some nicknames, f*ck it moments and a he falls first and 🔥
What sets this book apart is its ability to balance humor with moments of deep emotional vulnerability. The pull between these two is palpable in every interaction, whether they're engaging in playful banter or fighting tooth and nail. Each character brings you in and will have you holding your breath for the next move.
I was offered an opportunity to read this as an advanced release copy and am leaving this review voluntarily after completing it.
Whirlwind Redemption by Raine Winters is a cute little story that ties in characters from a little town that ironically reminds me of everywhere. Thus the appeal! The characters are relatable, the self doubt they struggle with checks all the boxes. I laughed out loud in quite a few areas and if a book can do that then it’s a winner in my mind. Raven and Blake make the enemies to lovers transition seem less! I really enjoy the duality (is that the word I want?? Hmm…) the altering viewpoints is refreshing! Loved the blend into the previous book! I had an “ah ha!” moment when that occurred! There were a few story line blips where I feel I missed out on something and for that I need to back track and read book one…. Having read book two and now book three I need to know a bit more of Blake’s back story….. all in all well done. I’m hooked and anxiously awaiting book three!

Perfect for fans of Pride and Prejudice. If you’re looking for a swoon-worthy, comforting romance novel with slow-burn spice focused on actual, relatable character growth that makes you feel everything and shows what a healthy relationship looks like, this is it. If you’re looking for your next book boyfriend, here comes Blake. And if you want an office romance between a headstrong FMC and a teasing but honest multilayered hero, look no further.
Are you a sizzling love tension fan, too? Read it.
PLEASE, read this book. The atmosphere is very well-crafted, the characters are distinct and authentic, and the ✨ BANTER ✨ —definitely a chef’s kiss.
I highlighted the parts that made me emotional, and they were quite a bunch!
Disclaimer: I didn’t even know this is part of a series! It can be read as a standalone, you’ll fall in love either way. Just as I did 🥰
Going to grab the rest of her books on KU right now!
Whirlwind Redemption is the 3rd in the Seasonal Fates novella series by Raine Winters.
Raven agrees to take over as co-director of a nonprofit her best friend has started. She has plenty of experience after helping her mother for so many years so she’s perfect for the job and is looking forward to it - until she learns who her co-director is. Blake Emerson. The man who broke her best friend’s heart and has been her arch nemesis ever since.
Blake hears who Abby has picked to replace her as co-director and he is less than thrilled; especially when she arrives and immediately acts like she is taking over the whole organization.
I love a good grumpy/sunshine story and this fits the bill perfectly. Add in office romance, forced proximity (hello, team building hike - for two!), and you have a fun romance that will have you falling for Raven and Blake! The slow burn between Raven and Blake is the perfect example of the roller coaster of a budding new relationship - constantly second guessing and questioning, while consistently holding out hope that you have found the one. A surprise tornado adds some moments of suspense to the novel that I truly loved!
I have read each of Raine Winters’ works and I swear she just gets better and better - and she was amazing to begin with! I love how each of the novellas in this series builds on each other; it has made me fall in love with the characters more and more each time and I will be sad when the series ends!
If you haven’t read anything by Raine yet, I highly recommend that you rectify that asap! You will not be disappointed!
This was such a cute and fun read, and I can’t wait to read the rest of the series!
Thank you so much ReaderLoop and Raine Winters for the digital copy. I have voluntarily given my honest review.
Raven and Blake were so amazing. I loved their chemistry and the enemies to lovers story. I loved Blake’s devotion towards her. And I think “Sunflower” is my new favorite nickname. It was so sweet. Once I started the book, I couldn’t put it down. So good!
It’s fast, sweet, and full of heart—perfect when you want a quick escape with a happy, hopeful vibe. The story flows easily, the emotions land without being heavy, and it leaves you with that cozy, content feeling when you turn the last page.
If you’re looking for a lovely, uplifting read that doesn’t demand too much but still gives you all the good feelings, this one is absolutely worth it. ✨📖
It is a lovely book! This one has so much more world building than the others and I love it! The enemies to lovers is so well written, even integrated at the end. Such a nice touch! It was the read I didn’t knew I needed! ❤️
- forced proximity - best friend's ex boyfriend - retired playboy/party boy - black sheep girl - escaping high society - enemies to lovers - he protects her - Vortex - fuck it moment - slow burn
Even after some tension in the air between friends Abby and Raven, Raven agrees to helping Abby with her work...but that means working with her "enemy" Blake Emerson. Tensions rise again...but not all is bad...
A huge thank you to the author for reaching out and giving me a chance to read and review this fun book! Yes, I am a sucker for any type of enemies to lovers. Can't help myself, but I apologize for nothing!
Told in dual POVs both Blake and Raven are not the best of friends. Typical type reasons but with a little forced proximity and a cute dog is enough to change anybody mind...I think anyway. I'm not sure about the whole 'tension' thing between Raven and Abby but it's not a focal focus on the story so I won't poke too bad at it.
I would totally name a dog Vortex! Just saying!
If you love a good Grumpy X Sunshine and enemies to lovers story, this one is a simple and fun read. Only triggers I'd say is strained relationship between parent and child. The bonus chapter was a tease!
So… I’m aggravated with this book and once you read it you will find out why. Now don’t get me wrong, I loved it… but something just made Me grrrrr. lol. Anyways. This is the 3rd book of the series and it was adorable. Enemies to Lovers. Slow burn. Forbidden Love in a sense. Some spice towards the end. And my favorite part of FRIENDSHIP!!! No matter the struggles true friends always come back. Except…. I will say no more. Raine you know what you did to me. Lol. Check out books 1 and 2 if you haven’t already!!!
I was given this as an ARC in exchange for an honest review. I really enjoyed this. Enemies to lovers trope is always a favorite and even though you saw it coming the slow burn was really well done. I enjoyed both the main characters and their alternating POVs which is a literary style I always like. I could have actually had this go a little longer and add more layers. Oh! And the bonus chapter! I want more!!!
I won't lie this isn't my normal read! But omg when I need to feel good it hits the spot!!! I LOVE READING ABOUT EACH COUPLES LOVE STORY! And it is so fun to read when they all come together! So get a cup of hot chocolate and settle in to feel good!
Whirlwind Redemption by Raine Winters is the 3rd book in a series, but can be read as a standalone. This book is a fun enemies to lovers romance with Great banter. I love this series.
I would definitely recommend.
I received an ARC for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.
At first I did struggle with wanting to finish this book, it just didn’t catch my interest. Although I am glad I continued reading. I love a good chase & enemies to lovers. It did take me a while to like and understand Raven. I feel this book didn’t explain her hatred towards Blake till the end so I couldn’t justify it. The character growth was good and I loved that there was tension! Blake I loved from the start, he’s funny and got that book boyfriend charm. I loved reading his POV!
He is her sunshine and she is his sunflower ♥️✨
“She can run all she likes, but I’ll catch her. Just like I always do. Because the thing about sunflowers, they don’t last long without their sun.” -Blake Emerson
Disclaimer: I received this book as an Advanced Reader Copy (ARC) in exchange for a fair and honest review.
"Whirlwind Redemption" is a heartwarming small-town romance. When Raven's best friend Abby needs help, she can't refuse, even if it means working with Blake Emerson, the arrogant man she despises. Despite their clashes, Raven and Blake's partnership grows into an unexpected connection. Raine Winters beautifully captures the tension and evolving chemistry, making this a delightful read for romance fans.
I just couldn’t put this book down. I can’t wait to see what this author comes up with next.
Whirlwind Redemption is the third book in the Seasonal Fates novella series and so far, my favorite out of the series!
Sparks are flying from the first page til the last in this enemies to lovers’ story! (My favorite genre and the moment)
Blake and Raven – holy wow! I was ready for very jab, poke, harsh word(s), punch to the gut you two were giving each other. And then the tables turned and I was ready for every glimpse, touch, look, text message, etc.
Plus we get to see what is taking place with Aiden/Lilly and Spencer/Abby – all from the previous books – love that little touch!
This is book 3 in Winters' Seasonal Fates series and a great addition to the series that can easily be read as a standalone. Great characters and storyline that flows effortlessly. Main characters are Raven and Blake who embody the turmoil of a new budding relationship. I adored how Winters delivers such a well-balanced read with emotion and laughs. A great read that has me eager for more!

This book honestly wasn’t my cup of tea. While I did enjoy the banter between the love interests, I didn’t like the trope of falling for the best friend’s ex. Also, I wish there was more action between the characters instead of explaining what they were doing in the author’s POV. I would’ve loved to see their love blossom more throughout the book. Overall, the love story had great potential.
humor and emotion I liked Raven and Emerson, although they seem to be polar opposites and the sparks flying between them are entertaining, they slowly learn to see things from another perspective and their relationship transforms into something wonderful.
