El primer STAGE de la carrera empezó en la playa de San Diego. Uno de los favoritos queda fuera de juego y Gyro intenta ponerse primero utilizando la técnica de rotación de sus bolas de acero. Sin embargo, la suerte inexplicable de Pocoloco y la sorprendente manera de "cabalgar" de Sandman amenazan su posición.

El resto avanza a todo galope entrando en la recta final. Pero mientras transcurre esta intensa pugna, ocurre un asesinato en las sombras.

Hirohiko Araki ( 荒木飛呂彦) is a Japanese manga artist. He left school before graduation from Miyagi University of Education.

He enjoys the baseball manga Kyojin No Hoshii (Star of the Giants); the video games Mario Kart and Bomberman; and likes Prince and other African-American singers, as well as jazz, rock, and rap.

He is a recipient the Tezuka Award for manga.

- umm, seems like maybe I was wrong? the real Jojo/Joestar of this series seems to be Johnny Joestar, not the native american "Sandman", but for now there's nothing connecting him to the previous Joestars
- I just found out that this takes place around the same time period as the first arc of Jojo, and I don't know what to do with this information
- this race is hunhinged!

Sto ancora aspettando che venga fuori il potenziale di questa parte, nel frattempo posso dire che trovo le interazioni fra J.Lo e Johnny pazzescamente adorabili. I poteri Stand visti finora non mi entusiasmano granché, così come i loro design, anche se noto un netto stacco rispetto ai design delle parti precedenti - capisco Araki, quando dice di aver raggiunto il picco massimo in Stone Ocean per quanto riguarda poteri e aspetto degli Stand.

Finora gli antagonisti sono abbastanza dimenticabili, anche se Mrs Robinson aveva un design di tutto rispetto e ho capito perché J.Lo per ora non mi prende per nulla. Ha proprio il carattere del tipico protagonista testardo e spaccone di uno shonen, in parte mi ricorda Joseph (e infatti le sue interazioni con Johnny ricalcano molto quelle fra Joseph e Caesar ma a ruoli invertiti) ma a differenza di Joseph per ora mi infastidisce soltanto.

Vedremo nel prosieguo della storia, intanto mi tolgo il cappello per Mountain Tim e aspetto di rivedere Diego Brando in azione.

En este segundo tomo de SBR las cosas ya empiezan a tomar un ritmo más veloz, la recta final considero que es una de las mejores cosas de este volumen y es que es bien interesante ver lo estratégico que puede ser una carrera de caballos así, también de alguna manera el dibujo del maestro araki hace que se sientan vivos los caballos, va ser complicado animar la esencia que tiene este manga, también se nos muestra los primeros misterios de la obra pues hubo una serie de asesinatos sospechosos. tenemos nuestra primera “pelea” digo entre comillas porque dura muy poco, es contra Mrs Robinson, si bien la pelea dura poco es muy disfrutable siempre ver como las peleas en jojos siempre son tan estratégicas e interesantes. Además en este tomo también comienza la ahora si primera pelea grande que tenemos con stands que es contra los hermanos boom boom, también se incluye extra sobre el origen de la carrera steel bull run y un poco de la vida de Steven steel. Como siempre les recomiendo seguir la historia porque cada vez se pone mejor

l'avventura si sta avviando bene e già adoro J.lo e le sue battute che lo caratterizzano. i personaggi secondari sono interessanti e la trama orizzontale di Steel>>>>, non vedo l'ora di leggerne di più

punti bonus per i flashback inseriti in modo quasi impercettibile, senza spezzare il ritmo

Hasta ahora es la parte más amena de Jojos que he leído, en el sentido que no me pierdo a veces cuando leo esto. Igual no me leí todo el manga de Jojos, es verdad.
