Who is the yellow man?

The idea of knowing who the yellow man was kept my interest in this story. I thought the idea was good. It seemed like the author either knew about lighthouses or had researched them. The ending surprised me, which was great.

I absolutely fell in love with this book. I was eagerly waiting for it to come out and when it did I was fortunate enough to get a signed copy of this book. Josepht has a serious talent for hooking in the very beginning. If it wasn't for adult responsibilities, I could have read this completely straight. I listened to the audible on this as well and man oh man. Kevin's voice was amazing and I enjoyed listening to his narrate the story. I couldn't guess what was gonna happen next and I love that about a story. This is gonna be one of my top ten comfort reads and I am ecstatic that I got the chance to read such a gem. If this could get 10 stars it would. Also lighthouses have always been something I found fascinating. The premise of this was *chefs kiss* perfection.

Yellow Man starts off with a nice set-up of the individual characters and their personalities. Giving us a feel for who will be involved in the investigation. Then gets to a detailed description of the setting which is unsurprisingly spooky. I certainly wouldn't be visiting that type of place. There were intriguing details such as how the lighthouse lantern operates as well.

The story progressed to the investigation where some odd stuff started happening with their tech, recordings, cameras, and the weather. Details of which lead us to a bigger picture later.

The ending is what really pulled the pieces together for me. It brought a chilling, haunting, savage series of moments.

A different kind of Paranormal story with a shocking end that brings the story to a close & helps you understand the rest just a bit more.

Was excitedly telling my sister about it who said it sounded cool. Because I had to talk about it with someone. My siblings don't typically talk books with me.

📚 Summary: A seasoned team of paranormal investigators heads to a remote, weather-beaten lighthouse after reports of a mysterious figure in yellow who has appeared there for centuries. What begins as a ghost-hunt quickly spirals into something far more sinister. As the storm closes in, loyalties are tested, and the investigators find that the light illuminating the old stone tower casts the darkest shadows.

💬 My Thoughts: From the very start I found myself completely drawn in by the characters and their back-stories. Each person on the team feels like someone you might actually meet: flawed, funny, curious. I enjoyed getting to know who they were before the real terror began.

When they arrive at the lighthouse, the setting shifts in tone and you feel it: the cold wind, the rotting wood, the echoing stone hallways. That’s when the “something isn’t right” alarm starts ringing. I found myself not only watching one team member with suspicion, but increasingly uneasy about the weather and the unexplained phenomena. Joseph does a solid job of layering: you suspect a person, then you suspect the ghost, then you suspect both.

Just when I believed the mystery was about to resolve, the book took a sharp turn. I lost my favorite character. That moment jolted me, and everything changed. What followed was one “WTF” moment after another: unexpected deaths, betrayals, shocking reveals, and escalating tension. The pacing picked up, corners were turned fast, and the final showdown delivered a jaw-dropping pay-off. I was on the edge of my seat.

What I appreciated most was how the ending landed. Despite the chaos and the horror, the story brings you to a place of emotional closure. Loose threads get tied up, questions get answered, and there’s a genuine warmth amid the darkness. I especially liked how the author balanced the horror with touches of humor, moments of levity when you least expect them, and a dash of romance that never felt forced but added a welcome layer of humanity.

💛 In short: Yellow Man is a masterful mix of character-driven narrative, atmospheric horror, and emotional truth. The setting creeps under your skin, the twists sneak up on you, and the ending leaves you both satisfied and lingering in the quiet after-shock. A brilliant haunting ride.

An excellent story about a ghost haunting. The team of ghost hunters is gathered to research the lighthouse about presence of Yellow man. The author focus on relation between characters, not only on mystery, horror story. Some of characters had a mutual past.
Page by page, in his precize, fast style, author leads us in the world of unknown mysteries.
