"If you kill a witch who delivers a prophecy, it won’t come to be."
As a child, Cori delivered a prophecy that foretold all witches practicing dark magic would lose their power on a future winter solstice. When she spoke the words aloud, it put a target on her back—and tied her fate to a ticking clock.
After a decade of hiding and pushing away her magic, Cori moves to the idyllic town of Farley, Maine. She has one goal—keep her head down while counting down the days until the prophecy comes to pass. But the town—and the people that live there—are not what she expected.
When Cori meets Adrian Huxley, a local Water Elemental witch, her secret is no longer safe. The closer she gets to him, the harder it is to suppress her magic. When a visitor from the past makes her question the real reason she was sent into hiding—and the loyalty of the family she swore to protect—she realizes her life is not the only one in danger.
For fans of Spells for Forgetting and A Discovery of Witches comes a cozy, ethereal story about a witch who must face the dark truths of her past—risking everything she loves and everything she has worked for.

3.5 stars rounded up! This was another intriguing and witchy story that serves as an enjoyable transitional read between summer and autumn. The story centres around Cori, a Celestial witch who gave a dangerous prophecy when she was younger and is now on the run because of it.
Set in an endearing small town, this book blends everyday life with a captivating magical world, featuring a complex yet intriguing magic system that becomes clearer as the story progresses, drawing the reader further into its enchanting universe.
Although Cori and Adrian’s instant connection had its charm, the focus on physical attraction overshadowed the emotional growth I was hoping to see between them. Their high-stakes journey kept me interested, though some of the plot twists were a bit easy to foresee.
The side characters were a fun and lively addition, adding more depth to the story. The author did a good job in making them complement the main storyline, adding layers to the narrative without detracting from Cori and Adrian’s journey.
Overall, this was an enjoyable, light-hearted read. Its predictable plot twists were balanced by the charm of the setting and the likeability of the characters. This is the ideal book to pick up if you are in search for a summer to autumn romantasy book.
I would like to thank NetGalley, Victory Editing NetGalley Co-op and the author for providing me with an eArc of this book in exchange for an honest review. <3
A solid 4 ⭐️ read. The Gray Prophecy is a paranormal fantasy romance read with great cozy and witchy vibes.
Cori, the FMC, is a Celestial Witch who made a prophecy when she was 12 years old. She then spends many years in hiding and alone. She arrives in Maine for a research job and meets Adrian, the MMC, a man she is immediately drawn to. The attraction is instant, with a bit of a slow burn romance. Adrian is very protective of Cori and there is a large focus of the story on their bond.
This book does a beautiful job of showing the deep love of a family, the necessity to have people in your corner, and the sacrifices parents are willing to make for their children. Check your trigger warnings!
This story was well paced throughout with medium pacing. The writing was smooth and descriptive. The plot has a couple predictable twists, but some did surprise me! The ending shocked me a bit.
The imagery was well done - the ocean, the night sky, the cabin on the cliff, her little cabin with Turtle, and Maine in the Fall and Winter.
The magic system took a lot of explaining, specifically about The Other. Also, I would’ve liked more info on the Gray Witches at the end of the story.
This book had spice, and in my opinion, it started fairly abruptly. I’d give this book 2/5 🌶️.
Some tropes: - Fated Mates - Touch Her and 💀 - Found Family
Overall, I enjoyed this read and would read the next book in the series.
The Gray Prophesy is a cozy witchy story with high stakes. Mostly set in a small town we get an instant love, fated mates romance WITH spice in a very magical and romanticised way. The plot carries on its own so the spice compliments the romance while the romance compliments the plot. A very balanced adult contemporary paranormal romance!
We get glimpses from the past, present and future due to Cori’s unique ability’s, which makes for a puzzling, unique and engaging storytelling technique. I was instantly hooked, loved Cori’s personality and the STEM / smart people rep! The chapters are vividly written and the descriptive surroundings really transported me to Farley, which made for an immersive reading experience.
Although I liked the creative storytelling and the vivid description of the surroundings, I’d have liked a more “show don’t tell” approach to describing character traits. For example; we get repeatedly told how badass Fern is but I’d have loved to discover that for myself by experiencing her actions or things she says instead of people telling us and their conclusions about her.
The plot feels complete and well rounded, a deserving concluding after the buildup. Great balance between cozy and suspense. A perfect read if you like books about fate, witches, instant attraction, found family and a smart FMC that does anything for the people she loves
I got this eARC for free courtesy of NetGalley. Thank you for the review opportunity!
Cori is an extremely rare celestial witch who foretold a prophecy as a child that would have major impact on the magical world. It is believed that if you kill the witch who delivered the prophecy, the prophecy will not come to pass. This leads to Cori living a very alienated life of hiding while waiting for the day the prophecy spoke of.
With just over 100 days until the prophecy will come to pass, she arrives in a small coastal town tow work for a former college professor. While there, she meets Adrian and his family.
There is a lot of world building and information dump in part one of the book. This made it difficult to get into at first. Once you get to part two, there is more character development and relationship building.
Cori slowly learns that not everything she thought she knew about the prophecy and the world she lives in true.

I received an ARC for free from NetGalley, and I am leaving this review voluntarily. Thank you to NetGalley and the author for the opportunity to read and review this book.
I really enjoyed this book & couldn't put it down! Fated lovers, modern day witches, found family, prophecies, MMC who smells like pine - lots of good elements! Looking forward to the next one
This was a fun witchy read! I was drawn in by the description saying it was great for fans of A Discovery of Witches which may have set the bar a bit too high for a stand alone novel. I wanted more substance to the plot - and that's on me - I should know that a short book is not going to deliver that same level of world building. BUT for the good parts, the characters are super cute. I love that we get more than just the main characters and that they have friends we also get to see them interact with. And the setting is perfect for a small town witchy vibe! The romance is cute if a little bland. Overall, an enjoyable read.
Thank you to netgalley for an arc of this book in exchange for an honest review.
When I started this book, I didn't think I would be so enamored that I couldn't put it down until I was done. I went on an 8-hour journey that made me laugh, cry .and gasp with surprise because of things I didn't see coming. The world building and how the magic works was really great, and the plot kept me hooked and the spice was tame compared to what I usually read. I really enjoyed this story and can't wait to get a physical copy so I can share it with my friends.
2.5 stars. I liked this but around the 50% mark things just got too disjointed to overlook. Likable characters and unique plot. I think it was too steep to write such an (interesting!) but complicated plot and a genuine memorable romance in so few pages.
thank you to netgalley and maria eden for a free eARC in exchange for an honest review. this was a quick and enjoyable read! when i read the premise "if you kill a witch who delivers a prophecy, it won't come to be" i instantly wanted to read it, and i'm glad i did. i liked the characters, loved the setting, and thought the magic system was really cool. my main complaint is that the pacing was a bit fast at times. in my opinion, the gray prophecy would benefit from more time being spent on world building and relationship building. i would have happily read a hundred more pages if it helped the pacing!
"Everyone and everything, deep inside of them, has darkness and light. Even people. All of us have the power to choose what we are, son. We can choose to be illuminated by the light, or we can choose to be swallowed by the darkness."
I was so excited to get an ARC for The Gray Prophecy and provide an honest review.
What a perfect new book to get for autumn! It feels like wrapping up in a blanket and drinking a hot cup of tea.
This was such a fast, easy read and I was so invested that I couldn't put it down. I was looking for heart-warming, cozy and not-very-intellectual - The Gray Prophecy fit the bill for sure. An interesting magic system, a romance that didn't dominate the entire book, a few predictable twists and turns that left me feeling satisfied. I'm an avid romantasy reader and this didn't feel terribly trope-y, mild spice but enough to make the story feel adult.
What you’ll find in this book: ⭐️Paranormal Romance ⭐️Suspence ⭐️Family bonds ⭐️Strong Female main character ⭐️Amazing scenery & world-building
My Review: One of the best witchy books of this year! Couldn’t put it down! I loved the magic, the romance the bond between the main characters but also the family bonds and loyalty that unfolds with the story. Initially, it reminded me of “A Discovery of Witches” but it obviously goes down a different path. I recommend it to anyone who loves witches and romance.

Writing style: To the point! So flawless! Very good scenery and world-building! Nicely divided chapters that won’t let you stop!
Thanks to Netgalley, the publisher and the author for my early copy. All opinions are mine and sincere.
The authors dedication is what let me know I was going to love this book on the first page I read. So be sure to take it to heart when you read it!
It might be the similarities to living in a small little lobster fishing village but this book burrowed deep into my heart. Too often understanding magic systems and terminology requires a glossary but The Gray Prophecy makes the fact that witches and magic exist so completely natural that you become a bit suspicious of your own lobster fishing neighbour.
Cori as a main character is someone you care for, ever looming prophecies aren’t something easily run from and the author definitely keeps you on your toes. I love the slow release of how you learn bits about her past and childhood.
Adrian, is just what she needs and seeing things from his point of view feels so natural to the flow of the book and you always get to see his point of view just when you’re curious.
The plot moves effortlessly, and the amount of highlight I had for vivid imagery and smart quips far surpassed what I usually have. The pop culture references are fantastic, Team Dean is a big red flag.
A lot of the themes are things I enjoy especially the usage of astrology this blended perfectly in without being complicated (as it can be). The found family aspect is 👌🏻there’s a heartbreaking layer written in, made me gasp but it’s truly written so well that you really feel for Cori.
Thank you to BookSirens and author Maria A Eden for giving me the opportunity to read this e-ARC for free in exchange for my honest review.
The Gray Prophecy was absolutely a five star read. It starts out as a cozy witch read that develops in to some high stakes events that keep you glued to the book.
I appreciate how the romance in the book didn’t take over the main female character, Cori’s, life. The romance was important to her but she was still independent and able to stand on her own. Too often a main female character is suddenly helpless and is totally reliant on her partner once she becomes romantically involved and this was thankfully not the case.
There was also excellent character development and world building in the book. The author did an excellent job explaining the rules of the magical world without being overbearing in detail. You were also truly invested in the characters at the end thanks to how the author wrote them. Even with the visions when we would travel back in time, everything was very clear and easy to follow. Honestly it was like I could almost hear Nonna’s voice!
I also have to say I appreciate the inclusion of LGBTQ+ characters in the book as well as representation of my community in literature truly does matter.
I want more in this series!

I love a good witchy vibe, and this book delivered! I couldn’t put this book down, the plot was entertaining and well paced. The world building was easy to follow and not super complicated. I am always a little unsure how I will feel about a contemporary fantasy, but I loved it! Especially the little Gilmore girl reference (team Jess forever!). Cori was such a likable FMC, and I was quickly rooting for her. I ADORE Adrian, and loved the relationship between him and Cori. Honestly, all the Huxley’s are top tier found family goals. I only wish the book was a longer so we could see Cori and Adrian’s relationship grow and some more world building. Can’t wait for book 2!!!
Must read for: ✨fated mates ✨small town ✨found family ✨touch her and die ✨witchy vibes ✨fall aesthetic ✨magic ✨dual pov
Thank you NetGalley, Maria A. Eden, and Victory Editing for the opportunity to read this ARC 🫶
All I can say is that, I’ve loved this book so much. I had the opportunity to read it beforehand and I am beyond grateful for that. I loved the way it was written and I can’t wait for this book to go viral.
Thank you NetGally for this ARC :) my thoughts are my own:
I feel like there is definitely an audience for this book, I just was not one of its members. This is a story about a witch harboring a dark and dangerous secret. It has fated mates, interesting magic systems, and a fair amount of lore to get into. It's a very fast read, id venture to say could be a one sit read it you have the time. The plot moves fairly quickly. I did enjoy the spirit element and the whole aura reading was fun. I enjoyed the Maine/coastal setting. I would recommend this book to someone who wants a very easy, cozy, fast romance book with a little bit of magic.
I wanted so badly to love this book. The premise was right up my alley. Something about this (several things) just didn't work well for me. The female main character, for starters, was painfully weak. I don't mean weak as in powers, I mean she had next to no personality whatsoever. She fidgets and shifts and is constantly thinking of running away from anyone who looks her direction. Her constant denying of help/love drove me up the wall. While I can understand (given her situation) by the end of the book I was so tired of this trope. I feel like Adrian's sister had more personality than any of the main characters combined. I feel like an anxious FMC CAN be done well (think Effy from Study in Drowning), she wasn't overly powerful or outgoing but she was still a great character. I had to keep reminding myself that Cori was supposed to be a PhD/scientist because she very much acted like a small child.
I think the author was going for a found family vibe, but it just doesn't connect. Prudence and Alfie appear out of nowhere and are generally accepted right away. And even then, Cori still doesn't come out of her shell (or attain any semblance of a personality). Even once the romance is in full swing, Cori remains the same as she did at the beginning of the book.
I never really felt like the stakes were very high, despite impending prophecy/the countdown. Everything came together almost too conveniently at the end, so the build up felt for nothing. It just kind of.....ended. I have no interest in following up with Enzo's story because I feel no connection to him or any other character in this book. I felt like Adrian was a decent character, until the instalove, where his entire personality became the very stereotypical protective male character. It felt very textbook.
The final gripe I have with this book and something that I think brought it down several stars for me was the modern setting. We are talking about witches, prophecies, covens and dark magic. the characters call their parents "mama" and "papa" which felt very dated. I would have enjoyed this a lot more if it had been more consistent. Every modern day reference majorly pulled me out of the story. For instance, Yoda, Elsa, modern day musicians, laptops - it all felt very random and out of place. I think if this had been not set in our world I would have felt a lot more immersed and would have enjoyed it quite a bit more. It just didn't work for me.
Thanks to NetGalley and Maria A. Eden for this arc! I really enjoyed it, and definitely recommend checking it out when it releases on 8/29.
3.5 stars (rounded up to 4!) 1.5 spice level (there is quite a bit of spice, but the scenes are not particularly long or graphic) I would consider this a New Adult Romantasy. From my understanding this is the first book in a series of standalones, with the second book focusing on one of the side characters we meet in this book. If you are a contemporary romance girlie looking to dip your toes into romantasy, I think this would be a great book for you!
Cori's life changed forever when she was just 12 years old. She foretold a prophecy declaring that any witch practicing and abusing dark magic would lose their powers forever on a future winter solstice. She quickly realizes how much danger she is in when she learns that it is believed if you kill a witch who has delivered a prophecy, then it won't come true. With a giant target on her back, Cori goes into hiding; counting down the days until the winter solstice passes, and she can return to her family. Everything is going to plan until she finds herself in the picturesque small town of Farley, Maine, and she meets Adrian Huxley - a water elemental witch who changes everything. All of a sudden she is having a hard time controlling her magic, and the more she gets to know him, the more she wants to open up. When Cori is visited by a spirit from the past, she begins to question why she was pressured to go into hiding in the first place. As she grapples with opening up to Adrian and his family which would risk putting them in danger, she realizes there is only one way to handle the situation she has found herself in: head on.
I thought this was such a cozy, enjoyable read! Cori is an excellent protagonist. We LOVE a woman in STEM, and her backstory is heart wrenching. I will say, I did struggle with her a little bit at the beginning (she had some ~not like other girls~ energy), but I really enjoyed her character development and seeing her come into her own. Adrian is a dreamboat. Golden retriever boy who is fiercely loyal and would do anything to protect his friends and family. I really thought they brought out the best in each other, and their romance was so sweet (and a little spicy (; ) and added a lot of depth to both the character development and the plot.
I thought the plot was really interesting! It was easy to stay engaged as the nature of the prophecy countdown kept things feeling high stakes. There were a bunch of twists along the way, but there was one big one about halfway through that really got me invested. I always love when we as readers get to discover things in time with the characters, it keeps me engaged and makes everything feel more suspenseful. The magic system was pretty cool, and the differences between the four different types of witches was a unique take.
I love a found family trope, and the side characters were wonderful. Each character had a fun and distinct personality, that all came together and complemented each other perfectly. I do wish we got to see a bit more of some of the side characters, but overall watching Cori become part of a family after being on her own for so long was so sweet. Also have your tissues ready for the epilogue. It destroyed me in the best way.
A couple things that kept this from being 4/5 stars for me: -I wish there was more in depth discovery of the types of witches and magic system. Maybe this will happen as the books progress, but I wanted more world building. -A couple things just felt a little too convenient. It's a short book, and I appreciate that the plot kept moving, but I wouldn't have minded a bit more conflict. -I'm going to be 100% honest, there was a line at the beginning that was like "she was black coffee in a world of caramel macchiatos," and I almost stopped reading then and there lol. (I'm very glad I didn't stop, but that still irks me days later) -I am definitely interested in reading the second book, but I probably wouldn't reread this one. I could absolutely see this being someone's comfort read, but just not mine.
Overall, I really enjoyed this and would recommend! It is a great cozy/easy read that is perfect for the fall. It has some Gilmore Girls vibes (small town, so much coffee), and was a beautiful testament to how much trusting others (and yourself) can really change your life.
Witches, with a variety of magical gifts - one of my favourite tropes skillfully blended with one entierly new for me.
Because yes, ahem, its true. I've never read a witch book before.. I know!
But as a newbie to the genre lemme tell you that The Gray Prophecy was just the right pick. Such a warm and cozy welcome to a world of all things witchy! So if you're new like me, then here you have your next cozy read, perfect for autumn.
This read was like a big warm hug - from the setting being in a intimate cozy remote fishing village, to the lovely character interactions that I simply adored! Please, if anything, read it for the characters! They all felt so unique and authentic, and the same goes for their banter and conversations. But at the same time, intertwinded with this soft side of the story, we have the countdown to the big prophecy tickling the back of our mind, keeping us in the dark for maybe a tad bit longer than necessary.
The pacing was slow and relaxed, and therefore my mind could easily keep up with the new world building and the jumping back and forth and sideways in the timeline. Intruiging right? A cool and appreciated concept that I like to call "mindseeing", an ability our main character Cori possesses. But also since the pacing was on the slower side, there where some dips now and then throughout the story, especially in the first third then the mysterious prophecy was a bit too mysterious, I was happy for the romance (amd spice) to keep it going.
So, if you're looking for your next comfort read with a suspenseful celestial twist, then you just found it right here!
Thank you Netgalley and Maria A. Eden for letting me read my first ever ARC!
Well I liked it, I liked it a lot. When I first read the description, I was pretty intrigued, it’s right up my alley and I was not disappointed.
🌙 ✨🐈🌊🦞
Well I liked it, I like it a lot. When I first read the description, I was pretty intrigued, it’s right up my alley and I was not disappointed.
This story grew so much, for example when a situation was explained I was like ok, ok sure makes sense to me and left it at that. What I didn’t expect was all the layers that were revealed to add even more depth to the final plot point whilst also being easy to read? Stop I don’t know how that happened but please give me more of it. It did leave me wanting a bit more at the end of the book, but I adore extra chapters where you see what the characters had been up to so maybe that’s just a me thing, these characters just made me want to know everything about them. I did see they’ll be another book so hopefully there’ll be some great cameos!
Cori and Adrian are super cute together, there’s some insta love, fated mates situations with a good dose of tension. Adrian went from super sweet to touch her and die which honestly fair enough. I liked their relationship the most when all the secrets were out in the open and they accepted each other fully. They knew what they were risking but found strength in each other.
This book is probably a bit of you if you like found family, fated mates, touch her and die, small town romance accompanied by elemental magic and cozy fall vibes. I know it sounds like a lot of tropes that you don’t usually see together but trust me, it works!
Thanks to Netgalley and Victory Editing Netgalley Co-op for the ARC!
As a child, Cori foretold a prophecy that all witches practicing dark magic would lose their powers. 🧿
“If you kill a witch who delivers a prophecy, it won’t come to be.” Cori, has been in hiding, just trying to survive and make it through the upcoming winter solstice synced with her childhood prophecy.
She moves to a small town in Maine and immediately senses she is not the only witch in town!
This book has elemental magic, suspense, romance and a bit of spice! The setting is perfectly described, there’s action and I felt engaged with the plot while getting to know the characters and their stories. 🪬
I’m hoping for more from author Maria Eden because this book was perfect for getting into the fall/spooky season vibe! Cozy up with a blanket, cup of tea and settle in for a time bomb prophecy that is about to explode!
This cover is just gorgeous and I’m beyond in love with it! I can’t wait for my hard copy to arrive!
I also love reading books with nods to places I’m familiar with or where I’m from. There’s mention of a minor character Im towards the end of the book being associated with Sonoma County and be a native resident, it gave me a big smile!😃
Thank you to the author, Maria Eden and BookSirens, for the opportunity to read this book. I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.
First, thank you Net Galley & Maria A. Eden for the ARC of The Gray Prophecy!
I really devoured this book! I am not typically a huge fan of urban fantasy books where phones and real world topics are a part of the story, but something about this really pulled me in! It was a great balance of prophecy and history, with a blend of the modern world in it. I loved the romance/fated aspect of the book as well as the found family and I wish it was developed more in the story. But honestly, I am glad it didn’t overshadow the plot and Cori’s journey. The plot is captivating and deserved the spotlight in this story. I didn’t love the pop culture references to Friends and such, but like I said before, I just don’t usually gravitate toward real world type fantasy books in general and it wasn’t overdone so it didn’t bother me much. Overall, it is a great witchy read and I would definitely recommend it! The main criticism of the book is that I just wish there was more.
SPOILERS BELOW
I would have loved a longer book with a deeper dive into her prophecy and that of the celestial witches. Learning more about the Mother, Giver, and the Other as well as the different types of witches that exist in this world. More background on Cori’s past and Calvin’s eventual villain arc. And more development on Cori and Adrian’s romance, of course. But I should have known going into it that it wouldn’t be incredibly detailed because it is a short book! Overall it was a great story and I will definitely be reading the next!

The thing that kept popping into my head as I devoured this book was “this cannot be a first time author.” The writing, timing, and plot are absolutely spot on. I began this book late one afternoon and finished it in the morning, eager for every new chapter.
Cori is a very special type of witch who reads auras, sees spirits and receives visions. Most importantly, she also speaks prophecies, one which will endanger and even doom her and her family. In order to try and keep the prophecy from coming to fruition, she leaves her family behind at a young age, remaining hidden away to keep them from danger.
In the countdown to the day of the prophecy, Cori finds herself in a small town in Maine. There she learns that sacrifice for loved ones runs deep in her family. She also learns that other witches’ beliefs are very different from what she was taught. And perhaps even the interpretation of her dangerous prophecy.
But will Cori discover what she has denied herself for so many years: friends, family, love and belonging, or will her ominous prophecy come true.
Grab this book as soon as it drops- you’ll love every page!!
This book is a perfect fit for someone who wants a nice, cozy, witchy read with high stakes and romance right away. I really enjoyed the dual POVs and the instant connection between the main characters. We have some spicy scenes present that really drove home the connection between the characters and how magic plays a part in both their lives.
As far as the main plot, there were some parts that I felt came out of nowhere and I found myself looking back for a little more information. I was able to figure some things out more towards the second half of the book where things really got to be more action based and I found myself not wanting to put the book down.
Overall I really enjoyed this book. I am looking forward to the next book in the series to see where the author takes the story!
This book had all the elements I typically love in a fantasy: found family, fated mates, rescues, magic, witches, and elemental powers. Cori's journey, alongside Adrian, a Water Elemental witch, unfolds in a way that explores these themes beautifully.
The connection between the FMC, Cori and Adrian (fated mates) was a highlight and added depth to the story. However, the explanations about the magic system felt a bit too complicated. While I'm usually game for suspending disbelief, I found myself nitpicking at minor details here and there, which disrupted the flow of the story for me.
Despite this, I was drawn to the found family that was built around Cori. Overall, I think The Gray Prophecy would be a good read for those who enjoy a fantasy tale with magic, witches and a little adventure.
Thanks to NetGalley for this ARC in exchange for an honest review.
From start to finish, the plot, characters, and fated mates aspects were done perfectly. I have no complaints about how the story was done. I'm so excited to rest on to book 2. I would write a more detailed review, but I'm tired, and I don't want to give any spoilers. I really love Cori, and she's one of the best characters. I will say that the fated mates romance aspect didn't overshadow the plot, which happens in so many books like this. The only thing that annoyed me, and it's a me issue, is the references to pop culture. I could have done without it, but it didn't take away my enjoyment.
Title: The Gray Prophecy🌠 Author: Maria A Eden Genre: Paranormal Romance, Urban Fantasy My Rating: 3.5/5⭐️
“If you kill a witch who delivers a prophecy, it won’t come to be”
Synopsis: Cori, a celestial witch, has been on the run most of her life, waiting until the prophecy she made as a girl comes to be. Until the prophecy comes true, she isn’t safe. With the final months of her countdown approaching, she starts a new chapter of her life in Farley, Maine, where she meets Adrian and his family of Elemental witches.
What I loved: 🤍The found family in this books was so sweet 🥹 🤍I loved the magic system and different nuances to each type of witch, and all the details were very easy to grasp/follow 🤍The cozy coastal small town witchy vibes were lovely, it made me want to visit Maine 🤍Adrian had me giggling with his flirting 🤭
What I didn’t love: ✖️I got a bit confused as more details about the prophecy were revealed, but it all got more clear by the end ✖️The pacing was slow at times, but it eventually picked back up
This book is for you if you like… ✨Witches and magic 📝Dual POV 💕Instant attraction 💘Fated mates 🫂Found family 👁️Dangerous prophecy ‼️High stakes ⚓️Coastal small town vibes 🔬FMC is brainiac witch
"Everyone and everything, deep inside of them, has darkness and light. Even people", he said slowly and carefully. Do you understand? All of us have the power to choose what we are son. We can choose to be illuminated by the light, or we can choose to be swallowed by the darkness"
This book is so incredibly well written, every character felt fleshed out. I loved how independent Cori was as a main character, but also the fact that she wasn't afraid to lean on her friends.
The Gray Prophecy blends cosy fantasy and romance, with high stakes adventure and historical story telling.
4.5 stars! This was a perfect witchy October read! I loved the New England connection- both Maine and Salem, MA. I loved all the characters and can’t wait for a sequel. Love interest between main characters felt genuine (between side characters a little less so).
