As September 22, 2021 approached, the unchecked human overpopulation of Earth threatened our planet's existence, but a grim solution was in the wings.Six thousand years earlier the Egyptian sorcerer Zalanon foresaw this approaching catastrophe for humanity. Seeing no other alternative to save the planet, he cast a gruesome spell to rebalance our population with a strictly feline application of the natural law of survival of the fittest. The cats were now upon us. Packs of hungry feline predators roamed the planet viciously culling our now overgrown herd of humanity. Zalanon's spell had turned every common household cat into a crazed and monstrous predator bent on thinning out the human population before we completely depleted all the resources of our Mother Earth. The great Egyptian Cat Gods -- miniaturized by Zalanon for six millennia -- were also now unleashed by the ancient sorcerer's spell in all their menacing, primordial grandeur to help their feline contemporaries carry out this massive annihilation of mankind. Only Arim -- the first human ever to have revealed to him the secrets of the Scrolls of Zalanon -- had the potential to find some shelter from the ensuing holocaust and to bring safety to the earth's few survivors within the protective Ring of Light.
