For Keeps

Two rivals. One woman. Zero chance of playing nice.

My life was finally falling into place—with Jake Lauder back in Windmere, our future was everything I’d always wanted.

Until Beau Dalton returned.

He was supposed to be a fling. A wild mistake I made while Jake was gone. The one I never stopped thinking about.

Now Beau’s back in town. And he’s not just my ex-flame—he’s Jake’s oldest rival, the one man he’s always hated.

But when circumstances force them to work together, everything shifts. Their simmering history of competition starts to burn into something hotter, deeper, and far more complicated than any of us expected.

They’re not just falling back into my life.
They’re falling for each other, too.
Into something real. Something that might change everything.

They both want me.
I want both of them.
And this time? I’m done choosing.

But Beau’s not here to stay. And in a town that feeds on gossip, keeping something this tangled a secret might be impossible.

Love doesn’t always come in pairs.
Sometimes, it comes in threes.

A refreshingly realistic story about a throuple! The Midwest Princess of MMF romance if you will. (And I will!)

There are queer people in small towns! This isn’t a story about mega rich hot people in a big glamorous city. But it’s not a sob story full of heart wrenching troubles either. There’s intimacy and light heartedness and the realities of a queer poly couple in a small town without over the top homophobia. (Sometimes I think authors go too hard with homophobia in books and y’all I deal with that enough irl, it’s nice to read about someone getting hit in the face with an umbrella by their self and not beat until they’re almost dead)

Beau, Fallon, and Jake felt like real people with nuance and flaws and huge hearts to fill with love. This book is long but nothing is unnecessary, I never felt like I was slogging through the pages.

It’s diiiiirrty but not overly sexual for no reason. You see and feel all three of them fall in love. Three people work through real shit together and we don’t get some wild deus ex machina to solve all the problems for a happily ever after. We get problem solving and happiness because they work for it. And damn if I didn’t need that.

I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily. (But this is one of my go to authors and I have KU so I would have read it anyway 😉)

This was my first time reading this author & I can say I definitely enjoyed this book.

I love a book with a very like cutesy cover that's just filled with pure FILTH that was this book. 🥵🔥I love me a good ole bi awakening, enemies to lovers, MMF, Poly romance book. I was hooked line and sinker once I started reading. If your okay with GREAT spice, decent plot (which I thought was good) but let's be honest I stayed for the spice.

I adored Beau, Jake & Fallon together. I also appreciate when you see each person have their own story separately but together as well. Everyone had things they needed to work through in order to make things worked and I appreciated that.

Add this to your TBR if you like
-MMF
-Bi Awakening
-Small Town
-Enemies to lovers
-"it's always been you" vibes
-Found Family

The spice was SO on point for this one. Loved it!

We meet Fallon and Jake. Just your normal couple truly in love. They have had their ups and downs – but they are endgame for each other. Fallon has never gotten over Beau – a hookup she had when she and Jake were broken up for some time. But Beau and Jake are sworn enemies. Until he moves back, and this gets complicated and hot at the same time.

This is one of the best books I have read in this trope (Throuple, MMF). I found it to be a quite realistic read and not just that “fairytale romance” where everything just magically works out. True intimacy, real deep feelings and the journey of three people who fall in love with each other – who actually has to work through their deep shit. And Beau <3 I just love that guy! He really went through a lot of growth and development throughout this book. I just … loved this one!

This book has everything I need and so much more. It was such a realistic portray about a throuple!! this book was so steamy and sexy and kinky, but also so vulnerable and raw and emotional and I was here for every second of it. The way that this book was written, especially about a queer polyamorous couple in a small town was amazing. It felt so realistic. I loved all the band her especially between Jake and Beau as they have been rivals through high school, but also crushed on the same girl who is Fallon. watching Jake and Beau navigate their relationship together and their feelings for each other was so heartwarming and heartbreaking at times and to watch all three of them feelings for each other and Jake and Fallon helping Beau overcome his insecurities while he joins their relationship. I didn’t expect to feel all of these emotions when first going into this book, but I’m so glad that I read it. Thank you K.C Everly and BookSirenes for the opportunity to read this book!!

ARC REVIEW!!!!

I pretty much went into this book blind. I saw MMF and was like I gotta read this. This book is beau, Jake and Fallons story. I absolutely devoured this book.

Jake and Fallon are a couple. Beau is Fallon’s friend but has also had a crush on her since forever. They had a fling but then he left. He is a writer but there is a strike so he has to come home.

Beau a text from Fallon and they meet up and talk and then Jake shows up. And that’s kind of where the story starts from there. Jake and beau a job together. I don’t really want to spoil it.

Fallon has infertility problems so she’s very insecure about that. And beau has some mental problems with anxiety. And Jake is jake. Bi-awaking

Like the author said this is one book but with 4 different couples together

Fallon and Jake
Beau and Fallon
Beau and Jake
Jake beau and Fallon

I enjoyed this book so much it was spicy. The storyline was good. I just love the way. The characters acted with each other. The chemistry was amazing. The individual relationships that they have with each other or everything there was such raw emotion with each other. And that is everything I love to see in a book.

Oh my! This is probably one of the steamiest, sexiest, knock your socks off book I've ever read.  And I've read alot of books.

Whoooweee this will get your engine running. Guaranteed to keep you flipping the pages.

This is the first book I've read by this author and it certainly did not disappoint.

Beau, Fallon and Jake have an incredibly hot story to share.

Having all grown up together, the boys constantly at each other's throats trying to one up the other.

Beau and Jake both crush on the same girl.  Falon and Jake become a couple and things are off and on between them and him shipping off for work.  Beau comes back to town after an actors work strike.

This super steamy, scorching hot, sizzler of a book will keep you aching for more.

Absolutely one of the hottest books I've read.  Ever.

5 stars. Do not miss out on this book.

Ok this book was 🥵. Grateful for the ARC opportunity and this is my honest review.

The dynamic of the three characters in this MMF was sweet, realistic and heart wrenching.

Beau is the golden retriever who has struggled to find his place in the world. He’s here for a good time, not necessarily a long time. Until his work goes on strike and he’s forced home.

Jake is the grumpy to Fallon’s sunshine (and let’s be real, Beau is good at sunshine too even if it’s a mask!). But he’s serious about those he loves.

And Fallon? She’s the glue that keeps much of this together. She’s the thread that both men can agree on.

KC once again doesn’t disappoint!

For Keeps stands out among romance novels for its intense blend of passion, love, sacrifice, and raw emotion. Unlike a typical love story, this book delves deep into the characters' hearts, making their connection feel powerful and authentic. The romance is not only driven by strong emotions but also by the sacrifices the characters make for each other, adding layers of depth to their relationship.

What sets this story apart is how it balances emotional intensity with a healthy dose of passion, including plenty of steamy scenes that keep the chemistry sizzling.

Started out good, great even, but at some point my interest waned and I dreaded picking it up. It felt unnecessarily long and it not because of the slowburn of the rivals becoming lovers; I enjoyed that angst! It just felt like the author had a word count goal to hit and did whatever they could do accomplish that, which resulted in a waste of my time.

There were some good parts though. Sexy spice and some humor here and there. But each time a grown man said "bestie" (33) had me ready to commit a felony. I picked this up to cure my slump and it actually worsened it sooo 2/10, do not recommend.

This was a scorcher. The character development and relationships in this book were complex and wonderfully done. I wanted to keep reading well after the last page, and it's already a long book. This is, hands down, my favorite MMF book I've yet to read. I laughed, I had all the emotions, I loved the characters, and I loved the way the poly dynamic was depicted. The author's note that this is four love stories in one book was so, so true. Each dynamic was unique and different between the characters and in their dynamic when all together.

The bi-awakening in this book is a slow reveal to the character himself and I totally believed it. I think it was so well done (and sometimes it's a bit rushed or forced or I'm just not convinced). If you read MMF, this book is 100000000000% one you need to read! The spice was so, so, so good! Plentiful, too.

Beau is such a great character. He made me laugh so much and I was absolutely rooting for him the entire time. The banter between characters is top-notch, and the entire book was great. Loved it and the bonus chapters that you can read at the end of the book.

This book is fantastic, well written, it is full of emotions of three people who want to move on together. No matter how unlikely and impossible this may seem. But before that happens, some hurdles have to be overcome. And you feel those emotions when you read this book. The story of Beau, Fallon and Jake. The inner battles, pretending to be something other than who you are. All this is discussed and as a reader you cannot ignore it. Aren't we all looking for love and security? This book describes four love relationships, the relationship between those involved and sometimes you can't help but sympathize and cry with them. It goes deep. A wonderful book for me. Definitely worth reading again. Highly recommended.

Everly delivers! Wow, what a read - all the hot, steam and plenty of drama as well. I mean there's Fallon and Jake and Fallon and Beau then there's Jack and Beau who hate each other but do they?!? A wonderfully well written romance and Everly delivers in a way that you just feel the growing love they have for each other and makes these characters seem relatable too. A great, steamy, hot, swoony worthy romance - I can't wait to read more from Everly!

Oh wow!!! The spice on this book!!! Jake, Beau and Fallon were high school classmates. Jake and Fallon were a couple and Beau was always on the outside looking in. He found his was in by way of Fallon but was it really Jake he wanted???

The relationship between these three is so complex and changes so much throughout the book. Each relationship has a different dynamic that develops throughout the story. It made me want to keep reading to see what would happen next!

Wow, this book is super steamy. I felt the burn throughout the whole book.
It was a fun read about Beau and his love for both Fallon and Jake. I thought that Beau was a marshmallow, whilst Jake was a growly teddy-bear and Fallon was the loveable centre.
This was a tug at your heartstrings kind of story, where you will the characters to get together and when they do, you want them to realised that they are wanted more than they think they are, and that they are meant to stay together forever!
I loved this feel-good story. A very well-earned 5 stars!

Wow! I loved this MMF so much!! It was steamy (super steamy), fun, and I flew through it. The banter had me laughing and the chemistry came off the page, it was so good. If you're looking for small town romance with two perfectly imperfect men and the woman who holds it all together, you're going to love this. The spice amplified the relationships in the story and it was emotional, funny, sexy, and heart-warming all in one.

One of my favorite tropes, this was a deliciously angsty and spicy MMF romance. I couldn’t put it down! Beau immediately captured my heart. He needs to make everyone believe he’s happy as a defense to being vulnerable. Jake’s obsession and possessiveness with Fallon had me a little sad at first, but the more they interact, the more you see he’s hiding some vulnerabilities too. Fallon had her own insecurities that were so relatable. There was so much spice and dirty talk. Plenty of drama. A really well rounded story with something for everyone.

This is one of the best books I've read in a while! I loved Beau, Fallon, and Jake's story. There was a lot of spice but I wish there had been more purely romantic moments between them. It felt like all Jake and Fallon did was have sex while all of the main drama and conflict came from Beau. I just wish more was on the page rather than finding out about things because the characters talked about it happening off page.

4.75 ⭐️ Small town MMF throuple with spice. I enjoyed character development and falling in love, untangling emotions and facing their fears. Smut was hot, but not over the top. Although this is definitely for people who like dirty talk. For me it was at times too much.

SPOILERS below:
I would just say the ending might have been a bit too happy ending with the shop, and dog walking business, and community centre... I think this was a bit unrealistic ending. But really, REALLY enjoyed the emotional relationship happy ending.

***3 ½ stars***

For Keeps by K.C. Everly is an emotionally captivating romance featuring three individuals all on a mission of finding themselves.

Fallon found the love of her life in high school. But when Jake took a job he decided to cut Fallon loose and unbeknownst to him right into the arms of his rival Beau. But you see, Jake knew he made a mistake in letting Fallon go and came back to her. So she let Beau go, and he decided to move to another state to pursue his dreams of being a stuntman. Now, Beau is back home and Fallon isn’t the only one crushing this time around…..

My Thoughts:

Let me start this review by saying, If you’re looking for a novel that is high on the steam level, involves M/F.M/F/M, M/M/F, and M/M sexy time scenes, this may be the novel for you.. I'm fairly new to the polyamorous theme in romance novels. I have to say, K.C. Everly hit the mark with this novel! I loved the fact that she took this trope/theme/subgenre and gave me four different love stories within it (Fallon/Jake, Fallon/Beau, Jake/Beau, and Fallon/Jake/Beau)! If novels featuring Polyamory relationships are not for you, I highly suggest you move on from this novel. If you're looking to dip your toe in the Why Choose trope, definitely pick up this novel!

First of all, my rating may be a little confusing because I really did love this novel. I will get into why I dropped 1 ½ stars on my rating in a few moments. Let’s dive into these characters!

First up is Beau, one of our main heroes of the story. Beau, I think, had the most to lose in this novel. This man gave his heart away months ago, and knew it wouldn’t work out when Fallon’s love came back for her. So he did what he thought was best for him and for her and left. My heart was on the verge of breaking for Beau throughout this whole novel. I also loved the fact that his family was supportive of his life choices, and never judged him for who he was as a person. He definitely had a strong foundation to lean against when stuff hit the fan.

And then we have Jake. Jake is the gruff and grumpy hero in the story. He’s also very dependable and protective of those he holds closest to his heart. But beneath the surface this man is a ball of vulnerability. Which makes his feelings and emotions hit even harder. And just to throw this in the mix, I loved the fact that his grump personality evened out Beau’s sunshine personality. He was the rainy day to Beau’s cloudless sky.

And then we have Fallon! Fallon is the lucky heroine of the story. This woman is the glue that holds the thropple together. She erases insecurities and shares her strength throughout this novel.

When I say the sexual tension was so thick you could slice it with a knife, don’t take that lightly! I loved the fact that Beau and Jake were rivals throughout their teenage years. They constantly tried to outdo one another and I was here for it, especially when that carried on into the bedroom… As I said above, Fallon was one lucky lady!!

So now onto the reason why I dropped 1 ½ stars on my rating. I initially had wanted to rate this novel with a four star rating, but the deeper I dove into my review, the more I found situations in this novel that I would have liked a little more from. For starters, the steam is epic and trust me when I say there are absolutely no complaints about the spice factor. My issue was a result of the spice becoming spicier. When Fallon, Jake, and Beau started experimenting within the bedroom, the connection became more on the sexual side and less on the growing of the relationship side. I liked the moments outside of the bedroom when the three of them were just being themselves and conversing. I wanted more conversation that wasn’t focused on sexual themes. I loved the first part of this novel and getting to know the characters, and I guess I wanted that theme and vibe throughout the whole novel. So that is why I dropped a star on my rating. The reason why I dropped a 1⁄2 star had to do with wanting more from Fallon. I felt like this novel revolved around Jake and his coming to term with his sexuality. I wanted that same energy from Fallon and I was a bit let down to not have point of views that weren’t based on sexy time chapters. I wanted more from this character. And due to not wanting to give spoilers away, I’ll end this portion of my review here.

Overall, I loved the relationships that were portrayed in this novel. I loved the rivalry between Jake and Beau. And I loved the fact that Fallon was there to hold them all together. There were some aspects of the novel that I needed more from, but overall it was a great read full of endless potential! I will definitely be reading more from K.C. Everly in the near future!

Out of all the fun spice I have read this year, this one I can’t get out of my head! The fun shared between Jake, Fallon, and Beau is one of my favorite reads of the year. They have some of the best chemistry I have read between characters. The connections are so deep and I was drowning in the love between the three of them! Their friendship! Their desire! I got lost in their intoxicating bubble of spicy competition. I couldn’t put this story down! This was such a fun read!

Oh wow, this was a steamy one! If you like MMF with emotional elements and solid character arcs, you'll love this one. I love that this isn't an over-the-top MMF. All the characters, flaws and all, felt so relatable. And y'all... the steam cannot be ignored, haha. Honestly, some of the best I've read. It's hot *and* emotional. I find that often it's one or the other in romance books. I love when I find writers who hit both marks.

Can't wait to see what else comes out of this series.

5/5. I was not expecting this book to be so gas my bro. This was a lot better then what i expected it to be, in all honesty i did not expect much, but then it came out and surprised me. i thought the trope was just a bit strange, but it turned out really well. The only thing i will critique was that it was a tad bit long and could have def been cut down by like ten percent. but other than that it was good and i would definitely get a physical copy of this! Toodles! 😘🫶💋

✨"it's always been you"

Fallon and Jake have been steady lovers and in a relationship since high school, facing through adversity of jobs, moves, and all the things that life has thrown at them. And Beau has always been a little jealous of the relationship that the two of them have, especially with him and Jake being lifelong rivals. After a mostly failed career in LA, Beau is back in their small town and can't seem to stay away from either of them. And honestly, Fallon and Jake don't want him to either. But can their relationship be any more than physical?

Where to even start with this review...This book is four love stories wrapped up into one. Fallon and Jake, Fallon and Beau, Jake and Beau, and all of them together. It was such a raw and emotional book showing the growth that all of them have together as they navigated this new type of relationship for all of them and how it could work out. And, unbeknownst to each other, living with and grappling with all their internal insecurities in their relationship. All of them needed to be broken down to the rawness and depths that were underneath to truly see and show how they could make their love defy the odds.

I think the plot moved along really well and enjoyed how the story didn't just focus on their relationship, but perception in the community and how they combatted that. It definitely helped to add conflict to the story and added to the insecurities that they needed to overcome to prove that their love was worth it. And you know, the spice was of course very welcomed hehe.

Though not required, I would definitely recommend reading For Always before reading For Keeps, as you'll see some familiar faces in this book!

4 ½ Stars for this trouple!

I didn't know what to expect from this book ... but I loved it! The author takes you on a journey of love ... Jake and Fallon, Beau and Fallon, Jake and Beau, and Fallon, Jake and Beau. The story is realistic and the banter is perfect between the characters ... especially Jake and Beau. This book also had me laughing-out-loud at Beau and his antics. There is lots of steam between the pages ... my iPad was smokin!

Fallon, Jake and Beau all grew up in small town Windmere. Jake has loved Fallon forever and they dated in school. After graduation, Beau left for LA to be a stuntman. Years later, when he was home for Christmas and Jake and Fallon were on a six-month breakup, Beau and Fallon had a fling. Beau knows that's all it can be because Jake and Fallon are destined to be together. Six months later, the actors strike prevents Beau from working and he's broke. He needs a free place to stay, so he heads home to Windmere. When Beau sees Fallon, all those feelings he had for her coming rushing back and Fallon feels the same. Can she love two guys at the same time? Will she have to choose ... or can she have both?

My favorite KC Everly book yet. I am thrilled to have been able to receive an advanced copy!

If you are looking for spice? This will definitely hit the mark! This was such an emotional, character-driven story. It's MMF and I love how each character had their own voice, personality, and differences, yet they fit so well together!

The banter was chef's kiss! I laughed so much. Beau is truly the best. I loved his character so much. Fallon didn't annoy me, lol, a real win in a why choose (for my picky pallet). Jake... The perfect grumpy but believable sweetheart. Everly really did fantastic work with her characters in this one. I'll be thinking of them even after reading.

Highly recommend this MMF (⚔️) if you want an emotional, spiiiiiicy, fun and funny read. Five enthusiastic stars.

I received an ARC copy of this book and I'm leaving this heart eyes review voluntarily.

The way I gasped and immediately clicked for an ARC copy when I got the email notifying me it was available? If anyone had been in the room with me they'd be concerned for my health. Everly books always get bumped to the top of my tbr list and this one is no different!

We got to see a little bit of Beau and Fallon in "For Always" and I was eagerly awaiting their story - with Jake! The banter in this book had me snort laughing and smiling at their goofiness, but Everly's characters in general feel so real and relatable. I love Jake's grumpness, and Fallon's nerdy side, and Beau's... Well just Beau 😍

You don't have to read For Always first, but you'd be missing out if you didn't!
