A beautiful, haunting portrait of an Irish immigrant family in the hills of Kentucky as they struggle to live off “bad money” from moonshine. Written by Rick Hall and Illustrated magnificently by Natalia Slattery, this small story tells a giant moral tale of the tragedies of addiction and poverty during prohibition era America. This story is packed with so many sensory details, one can almost hear the clank of the bottles and feel the mist on their faces in the moonlight.
