As the author highlights in the Preface, *"The Doctrine and Covenants is unique among our sacred books. Readers will quickly notice there is no storyline to the book, just a collection of revelations."* Personally, I've always found studying the Doctrine and Covenants challenging for exactly this reason.

That's why I’m absolutely loving how the author, Casey Griffiths, has structured this book. He takes a snippet from each section of the Doctrine and Covenants, along with the Articles of Faith, and starts each devotional with a thought-provoking question. Then, he gives a brief but insightful explanation and wraps it up with another deep question to reflect on. It’s designed to be a daily devotional, one for each day of the year, and it’s SO well written. I just know it’s going to be an invaluable part of the 2025 Come Follow Me curriculum.

I received an advanced reader copy of this book, but these opinions are entirely my own. Honestly, I can’t wait to dive into it again when I study the Doctrine and Covenants in 2025.

This book is such a game-changer for me! It breaks down the Doctrine and Covenants in a way that finally makes sense. I've always struggled with understanding it, but this book is making it clear and showing me how vital it really is—it’s no longer something I can just gloss over.

I love that the Author has taken a snippet of each Section of the Doctrine and Covenants, as well as the Articles of Faith, starts with a thought provoking question, gives a short explanation, and ends with another thought provoking question to ponder. There is one short devotional for each day of the year. The book is very well written and will be a wonderful addition to the 2025 Come Follow Me curriculum.

I received an ARC copy of this book, but the opinions are my own and I will definitely read the book again as I study the Doctrine and Covenants in 2025.

Each chapter of this book starts with a Doctrine & Covenants scripture reference, then a question, followed by historical context and meaning behind the revelation involved. Each chapter ends with a question where we ask our self, the reader, how we can implement the counsel or how it has influenced our life. This book works its way through the D&C from beginning to end in this manner and gives little tidbits of knowledge and wisdom all through it. I love how relatable and easy it is to understand & strive to apply the information contained in this volume.

I am loving this book by Casey Griffiths. It has a chapter to read every day from the Doctrine and Covenants. It explains the Doctrine and Covenants step by step, making it clear to my mind.
I Have always had a hard time understanding the Doctrine and Covenants but this is really helping me to understand it meaning, which I am seeing is very important and should not be just looked over.

I love watching Casey Griffteth's YouTube content and so was excited to see this book. It did not dissapoint! Quality, solid, doctrine based. I received an advanced readers copy of "Pause and Ponder" and these thoughts and words are my own!

A wonderful book. Has a short reading for the day along with questions to ponder. A great help in understanding the D&C. Offers some wonderful insights for the 2025 CFM study.
