I was initially really excited about this book. The cover and Trini carnival storyline peaked my interest, while the synopsis grabbed my attention. This first few chapters were engaging and had me talking to the FMC , telling her to do better. However, Titus's storyline ultimately turned me off of the story. There's a part of his business dealings that completely turned me off from him as the love interest, but I held on, hoping that by the end, he would have found a away to remove that element from business. The other issue concerned Nessy's characterization as this toxic entity, with no acknowledgement of the betrayal, dishonesty, and equally toxic behavior that is the catalyst for her actions. Ty operating with the same characteristics as Dontae did not bode well for selling him as the better option. He was only annoyed and angry with Nessy because he felt like he found better which was no different that Dontae being irritated at Mia for rightly suspecting him of doing foul shit.
This was pretty good! I liked Tamia from jump, but I felt like mama was putting up with too much of Dantes' foolishness. Brielle wasn't any kind of friend at all!! Honestly I wanted to hear from her and her "new man" on how they actually started a relationship at the end!! Tytus was a good dude with an out of control babymom! Neesey was doing way too much! Candace and James got exactly what they deserved!
The author thoroughly enjoyed this book, which was filled with drama, backstabbing, disloyal individuals, and envious characters. Even though Kamia was pissing me off sometimes, I'm glad she got her happy ending. I couldn't put this book down. The book is filled with twists and turns, with Dontae and Bri's wrongdoings being unforgivable. Candace, James and Shannessy deserve what they got. I knew something was off with Reed. I adored Tytus and Tamia together.
Tamia made me mad at her because she kept taking Dontae back.she ignored all the signs and she deserves better.Tytus was that man she needed in her life.Reed and Dani I didn't see that coming. Brielle was nothing but a trifling heifer. James and Candace got what they had coming to them.nessy got off to easily and titan need his's on spin off.
I love Tytus from the beginning. Tamia Was so stuck on Donate and he drug their relationship through the mud I was so glad when Tamia caught them. I knew who Trouble was from the start Brielle just didn't care she deserved Dontae. Shannessy got off too easy . don't want to spoil it all but job well done.
This is a prime example of what’s done in the dark I was very surprised at who the side dude was for Brielle I hate Tamia got hurt but glad she found love in the end I think they all wound up with who they should have. I think Tamia will learn from this experience going forward.
I enjoyed this book the first go round but finding myself enjoying it even more this go round. The authenticity of the country it's for and language brings life to this story. Don't take light to the trafficking because Tamia was saved Trafficking and kidnapping are a big part of the country.
This book was everything. I Loved this book so much. I knew her friend wasn't Shit. you did your big one on this. I didn't expect anything different though. You are of my favorite authors. Thank You
This book had me audibly gasping, literally laughing out loud. I enjoy this read very much. As a Trini-American myself it was nice to read the switching of the accent of Tytus! People never get the Trinidad accent right. I love this book 10 stars.
This was such a good read! I had a feeling about Reed, but Brielle blew me 😳🫢. I was not expecting that. If you wanna spin the block on Tania and Tytus, I’m here for it!!
It was a really good story and I enjoyed it soo I realized when I started that I already read the first one but it was still as good as the first time I read it
