There are no rules in love and war. There's only pillage and conquer. And this wicked prince could teach lessons in both.
You take from me, and I destroy the thing you love most. Everyone knows that's how I operate. So when the head of the Irish mob puts his filthy hands in my business, it shouldn't come as a surprise when I put mine on his pretty little daughter.
I expected a jaded Irish princess, not an innocent little lamb. But there's something about Brynna Sullivan that's magnetic, drawing me to her light. I don't want to destroy it. I want to claim it as my own…wreck her, and then put her back together again.
But this fiery little princess isn't naïve. She knows exactly who and what I am. And convincing her to fall for a monster like me?
Well, it'll take all-out war.
But this is one battle I intend to win, no matter what it takes. I just didn't expect it to be my own people who betrayed me in the end…

I'm in love with Nazzzz!! He was everything you wanted in a man. Strong, possessive, and delicious.
He wanted revenge against his enemies, and he had a plan, but he was sidecurbed by Brynna, the enemies daughter he was going to use her, but he met her, and she was everything he wanted. From the get-go, he wanted her. Which I love hehe Bry was attracted to him to even if her father and brother forbid her from going near him. It didn't stop her. The drama was good. I kinda figured it out early who the rat was. Wish it was someone else, so we have a little "omg didn't see that coming."
The spice was HAWT!!! Nichole really did bring ber A Game with the spice.

4/5 ⭐️🔥 "Look at you," he breathes. "You're so fucking beautiful letting me wreck you. Do you feel it yet?" "F-feel what?" I gasp, quivering on the edge of something so deep it's terrifying. His lips slide along my cheek, seeking my ear. "You, handing your soul to the fucking devil," he breathes before nipping the shell of my ear.
Oh my goshhhhh. I so wish Nichole Rose would write more mafia books, she’s so good at it!! Nazario (Naz) is the delicious hero of this story. He sees his enemy’s daughter, Brynna, and wants her instantly. She was once a pawn but now she’s HIS. Their love is pure and beautiful… and the kinks are naughty as hell. 🤭💗
SAFETY: virgin heroine, no known past for hero no cheating/om or ow drama anal, breathplay/hand necklaces, rough sex, spanking, breeding, degradation and praise, lots of “good girl”, public sex, forced o’s, kinky as all get out! HEA 💗

I am not going to get into spoilers on the series of events. This review is mainly my thoughts of the MMC and FMC in terms of sex, love, experience (the unfairness of it). Spoilers: She is a virgin while the hero is seemingly experienced. Before that , just a brief gist is on the story. Naz, 26 years old is head of his Colombian cartel. He traffics drugs, and keeps getting his shipments stolen by the Irish, so he knows there is a mole and wants to get even. Brynna is the daughter of the head of the Irish mob and Naz thinks of "ruining her" in retaliation, but the idea flies out of his head and enters a pang of undying insta love/lust for the red haired angel instead. They meet at the bookstore on campus and it was love at first sight for the two of them. Naz never hurts or betrays Brynna and Brynna is forth-wright and unafraid of her love for Naz. I love that so much, the trust and complicity between was never broken. I love when once our couple gets together, the drama surrounds them, but they don't push/pull or hurt each other for the sake of drama. Their love is palpable and unwavering from beginning to end and their chemistry is very much present, but the one thing that irked me and is no surprise, is that Naz knows that she is a virgin and he is the only man to claim her, but she can't claim him the same. I would have loved that if she gets to claim his body and she is gifted all of HIS firsts, but hélas we don't get that. He is 26, only 5 years older than her, so if she is a virgin, there is no shame in him being one as well. We never get that satisfaction of her claiming him, which made their love story a bit of a bummer.
Quote, "I'll tell you anything you want to know." She pulls back slightly, her eyes locking with mine. The avid curiosity burning in their depths makes my balls ache. Dio. Who is this girl that this carrot is the one that entices her? Not my money, not power, not sex, but knowledge of who I am. "Anything?" "Anything," I agree.." end quote I hate that sex is one of the things he used to entice women. Unless I misunderstood, maybe he was talking about what women are enticed by in general, not necessarily what he entices them with. I may have read it wrongly, but if he enticed women in the past with sex, which was my understanding, it is enough for me to hate it.
Quote, "Possessive pride surges through me. She's mine, stripped bare and broken open, every fucking inch of her consumed by me, obliterated by me. And she owns me the exact same way. Killing for her would be easy." end quote I want this quote to mean that she owns his body like he owns hers, and that she is his first, but I doubt it highly. Otherwise he would have said it outright. There is one quote, that made me think maybe, just maybe it could be a DV,
Quote, "Rules are necessary in this world. They've kept me alive and one step ahead of Rojas since I took the reins at sixteen, a full fucking decade ago now. But I seem to be smashing through every single one of them for Brynna Sullivan. Don't think with your dick? Too late. Don't get close? My motherfucking bad. Don't get involved? Already did it. Don't catch feelings? Well, goddamn. Is that what I'm doing here? Catching feelings?" end quote He doesn't think with his dick until Brynna. That made me perk up, but then I deflated the more I read.
The fact that it wasn't DV did ruin my enjoyment because it did not make their encounter and relationship special. Whenever he mentions her virgin pussy, and how inexperienced she is (which he mentions and says A LOT when he talks dirty), I kept hoping that he confesses that she is the first and only woman he has ever been with. If he gets to claim her firsts, and we have to incessantly hear about it, then I want her to claim her man the same way. Make it fair and have our heroine claim, OWN her man's body, knowing that no other woman has before her! Hélas it is not the case. For the dirty talk, he calls her slut and whore, but it is all role play they both enjoy. I am not into degradation kink, but he was very sweet and good at after care. Again, it irked me when he would say that she is not ready for whatever sexual act he wanted to do, because it just shows how sure of himself he is when it comes to sex, plus what made me know he is experienced, is when he whipped out the lube to fuck her in the ass. Clearly, not the first asshole he fucked.
Quote, "Her juicy pussy clenches around me again, wet enough that I don't even need lube to spread her little asshole open. But I use it anyway. I won't ever hurt her. Fuck that. I squirt it down the crack of her ass, watching with satisfaction as she squirms all over my cock, moaning, groaning, my eager little slut." end quote
She sucks his dick and he says that she sucks it like a pro, so if she can be knew at a sex act and be good at it, why can't he? Quote, "She eagerly parts her lips, enveloping the head of my cock in the hot, wet perfection of that mouth. I groan, my knees shaking as she wraps her tongue around my crown, lapping at the cum leaking from my slit. Dio, she's good at this, a natural little cocksucker. Like she was made to be on her knees with my cock between her lips. She bobs her head, lips stretched wide as she takes me deeper, her hand stroking what she can't fit. "That's it, mi amor," I praise. "Just like that. Relax your throat for me. Let me fuck that pretty face." end quote. If she can suck his dick like a pro having never touched one, then he can fuck her like a pro too and still be his first time. The double standards made the sex scenes exasperating! Here are a few quotes, but there are MANY of him taking her inexperienced body, without him gifting her his firsts!
Quote, "She's stripped down to the most primal of instincts, breathless and aching. This is the side of her no one else ever sees, the one she hides from the world." end quote What about you? Is her body the only one you will ever know?
Quote, "He chuckles, the wicked sound pulsing against my clit. "So responsive," he breathes, slipping his hand beneath the hem of my shirt. The feel of his palm against my bare skin is electric. "I've barely touched you, and you're already quivering so sweetly for me." end quote I hate that he just knows seemingly from experience.
Quote, "Do you want me to show you what you need so badly, Brynna?" he asks, his voice a seductive purr." end quote
Quote, "Trust me with your body, even if you can't trust me with your heart. Let me give this to you. Let me worship." The last of my resistance crumbles, swept away by the tsunami of desire his plea sends crashing over me. "Yes," I breathe, that single word sealing my fate. "Show me what I'm missing, Naz." end quote
Quote, "Oh, princesa," he breathes, his gaze flicking to mine. "No one has ever touched you before, have they?" I shake my head, drowning in sensation as he plays with me, teasing me as if he knows exactly how to touch me, exactly how to break me. "Good girl," he rasps, his eyes blazing with triumph. "Saving yourself for me. You knew I'd fucking kill anyone who had ever touched you, didn't you?" end quote This would have been perfect for him to tell her that he saved himself for her and made their encounter so magical and special....disappointment is very much what I felt.
All these reminders that she is all his, but she cannot say that her man is all hers, made all the sex scenes vexing to read because it shows how she may be one of many. He does not seem knew which is fine because I read DVs where the hero fucks his woman into a coma, but growls in her ear that she is his first, which heightens ALL the sex, but unfortunately, not in this book. "Wicked" by Nichole Rose is a DV mafia romance that comes to mind, where the hero, Gabriel seems to know what he is doing, he is very forward, passionate, kinky, a dirty talker and good at sex; when he is about to go down on Genesis, she stops him to tell him she has never done this before, to which he responds that that makes two of them, and the best part, is he tells her that it's because he waited! The sex and love between the hero and heroine in "Wicked" was scorching hot and swoon worthy because of that, which made the book one of my favorites! There is nothing sexier than a man that waits for love to have sex. Why couldn't we have that same magic with Naz and Brynna? The only good thing I cannot deny, is that Brynna is in love, sweet and loyal, just as Naz is a cinnamon roll, sweet, loyal, faithful and completely unwavering in his love and devotion for her alone. He would burn the world to the ground and give up everything because she is the only one he needs desperately and would be content with. It is the Nichole Rose sweetness that makes his love for her and her love for him concrete, but I wish it were a DV. That is my only complaint.
The rest of the book is about finding the mole, protecting Brynna and dealing with your typical mafia drama, but without any OWs so no worries there. Naz isn't really a villain, I would say he is a passionate dark hero. I just wished that his body only knows Brynna's, but I am convinced of the opposite, which made this book a let down for me and shattered my enjoyment of the book. I will not reread it and it is a shame, because his love for her is so all consuming. If it were a DV, and they were each others one and only everything, it would have been instantly added to my reread list and an easy 5 star read. It is a damn shame. If we have virgin heroines, give them a virgin hero. There is no shame for her man to wait to give his body to his one and only for love! GIVE THE HEROINE THE GIFT OF ALL HER MAN'S FIRSTS!
The next MMC's will be in this series in 2025, Knights of Fortune (the Devlin brothers), King of Lies (Niall Sullivan), and Prince of Thieves (Adrian). I am NOT looking forward to Niall's story, because he is described as a hedonist, so I fear him being a man whore. Hopefully his want of pleasure is in something dark like torture and maiming his enemies and nothing to do with sex. This is wishful thinking on my part. We shall see.
It wasn’t terrible. For a little quick read it was ok. Cartel boss falls in love with the daughter of the Irish Mob boss. He had intended to kidnap her to get back at her dad. Spice is about 🌶️🌶️/5

Nazario Leyva has ruled the Colombian drug scene with an iron first since the massacre of his family. Notorious for his instigation of wars, it’s hard for anyone to stomach that the brutal man may have a soft spot for a young Sullivan. Unbeknownst to everyone, a ‘soft spot’ is far past the diction to define Nazario’s attraction to Brynna Sullivan—instead it’s more like a possession. The ‘God of War’ novel entails Naz’s persistence to have Brynna despite the two families being against each other in the midst of a savage war.
The initial introduction to Nas and the Leyva Empire is rushed and is articulated hastily. Readers are given no time to digest the intricacies of the mafia world and whom the character is that they reading from. Nevertheless, the audience later finds the plot is simple—a war is occurring between Leyva, Sullivan and a dangerous drug lord, Felipe Reja.
It’s clear the author has the intention to articulate Nazario Leyva as a harsh, brutal man. Every citizen and every mafia syndicate seems to desperate to not be in his way and his voice finds pride in that. At first, this persona was engaging, it held its integrity for the novel and kept the suspense of the Colombian drug lord intense. However, his personality slowly became gimmicky—moments of his brutality became cringe and his character only provided two sides; one of a mafia lord and one as a man who was enchanted by Brynna Sullivan.
The relationship between Brynne and Naz is one of a submissive/dominant one. Naz finds power in Brynne’s innate desire to please him and allowing him to use her for his own discretion. Whilst this is a typical kink in many mafia romances, it is not one I typically prefer. A woman who succumbs to a man, whose life purpose is to fulfil their wants and needs—is not one I desire or would give a 5 star rating for. The addition of their romance being more insta-love does not help the integrity of the relationship, before the ‘I love you’s’ are expressed the two have 3 meetings. Only 3 meetings. It is hard not to see how this did not mitigate my enjoyment of the novel. However, this is a personal preference and should not deter other audiences from engaging in this novel.
Luckily, the intensity of the plot aided in the enjoyment of the book. The dark turns of a rat in the Leyva family and the precedented union of two families to fight a mutual enemy—were all elements that I was immersed by. Further, the authors seems intentional in creating this mafia world despite the novel being on the shorter side. The ‘God of War’ is a novel that adheres to all archetypal traditions of a mafia romance. It has the typical strong, addictive and possessive MMC and the submissive, some what resilient FMC. Whilst the pen of the authors is mature, the characters voice mimicked more of a sonnet than a normal dialogue, hence, deterring me to completely immerse and enjoy the novel. Nonetheless, the passion, romance and plot development were all key to the success of this novel.
This was the perfect forbidden romance, almost Romeo and Juliet vibes, but with a much happier, and steamier, ending. It had elements of enemies to lovers, but at no point did either MC hate each other, it was purely their families and organizations that taught them they should be. But they were both so magnetic together, that the love was instant and the burn the world and everything that means something to me to the ground to protect her vibes were heavy in this one. Naz was a tortured soul, relatively young (mid/late twenties) to be bearing the weight of the world on his shoulders, but he was ruthless and protective and played by his own rules. Brynna was loved by her family, but their protection was stifling and more guilt inducing than they realized and she starting to push back. They both were incredibly strong, but I adore books where characters start as strong individuals, but then build each other up to become epic characters. That was exactly was happened with this story and it was amazing to watch them change and grow into their own together. One quote I really loved that I think showed that was “and when I walk away, I leave the man I was, the fucking demon he created, lying beside him. I’m her’s now. Her monster. Her god. Hers.” He literally tore the world apart to keep her safe, and he did it because she taught him he didn’t have to play by anyone else’s rules but his own. And what a man he became after that! I love love love that we got to see Michael Kincaid again and learn a bit more about his backstory. His is one of my favourite stories, so the fact that Naz helped him endeared him to me a bit more. No cheating or OM/OW drama, virgin FMC but unknown history for MMC, lots of triggers for this one including violence against women, anal play, degradation, etc so look up all warnings on authors website, HEA and an epilogue 6 years in the future. I’m so excited that there will be more books in the series, and that her brother is one of them. Not sure about Adrian’s book, but I’m keeping an open mind and hope he redeems himself!
This is a deliciously dark and steamy insta-love mafia romance with Romeo and Juliet vibes between Naz the unapologetic and ruthless villain and Brynna the curvy Irish princess from a rival mafia family. Naz is called the God of War for how he conquers and destroys his enemies so when the head of the Irish mob puts his hands in his business it's time to teach him a lesson. Naz decides to put his hands where they don't belong on the head of the Irish mobs daughter Brynna. Brynna is trying to carve out a life for herself away from her brother and father and the things they do which is why she goes to college. Naz finds her in a bookstore and she isn't what he expected she's not jaded she's an innocent lamb amongst wolves. Naz wants her desperately and he sees the hunger she tries to hide when she looks at him but the air is electric when they're together. Once he realizes how innocent Brynna really is he forgets about using her as a pawn instead he intends to make her his queen. However her father will never let them be together and he ramps up his attacks on Naz and Naz discovers that he has an enemy within. I don't want to say anymore and ruin it for anyone else with spoilers. You really need to read this deliciously dark and steamy insta-love mafia romance with Romeo and Juliet vibes to see what happens. I would definitely recommend reading this book. I received an ARC of this book and I am voluntarily leaving a review.
Story was alright. I was going in with this knowing that Naz was ruthless and an antihero. That being said, the usual Nichole Rose magic that is in her H's was seriously lacking. The "man written by a woman" magic just wasn't there and the casual emotional violence that is normalized misogyny in the story made my eyes roll.
He spent way to much time emphasizing how amazing it was Brynna was a virgin while he was a previous manwhore. It just screamed ✨purity culture✨ to me. He was absolutely OBSESSED with the fact that she was a virgin"untouched" and "only for him" and Naz described her like she was an OBJECT for the whole story. Mans would not shut up about her virginity and while reading you get the impression that the most important thing about Brynna to him is the fact that she was a virgin while he is a formed manwhore. Like DAMN GET A JOURNAL IF YOU'RE SO OBSESSED WITH HER VIRGINITY.
I have no problems with morally gray H's but Naz literally looked at Brynna as if her only purpose in life or her only reason for existence was that she was just a thing stuck in time, frozen virginally waiting for him to come along and make use of her body. He also called her slut and whore a LOT.
Honestly I'm just so disappointed that supposedly safe authors really are showing their internalized misogyny with this forced purity culture writing. It's disrespectful and honestly disgusting.
God of War is a gripping, passionate dive into a world of danger, betrayal, and forbidden love. Set against the backdrop of Los Angeles’ criminal underworld, the story follows Nazario Leyva, a Colombian cartel boss navigating the weight of his inherited empire and a relentless feud with the other mobsters, in particular the Irish mob. His solution? Use Brynna Sullivan, the mob boss’s sheltered daughter, as a pawn in his revenge scheme.
Brynna, drowning under her father’s rules, is thrust into an whirlwind when she literally collides with Naz on her college campus. Their chemistry is instant, undeniable, and only deepens after a chance meeting at a charity event. As Naz grapples with a mole in his organization and a vendetta against the Sullivans, he finds himself captivated by Brynna’s purity and strength. Meanwhile, Brynna is drawn to the raw honesty and intensity Naz brings into her life.
This book masterfully intertwines suspense, steamy romance, and the timeless allure of forbidden love. The stakes are high, the emotions are raw, and the connection between Naz and Brynna is absolutely addictive. Nichole Rose has ventured beautifully into this new genre, delivering a story that is as thrilling as it is heartwarming.
A solid five-star read—I cannot wait to see where she takes us next!
Wow! Naz and Brynna are just an amazing couple, and I love their story! Nichole does it again with this incredible tale about a bad guy, who accepts just who and what he is and doesn’t feel the need to try and appear as something he’s not. He starts off planning to use his enemy’s daughter as a pawn but chooses not to do this.
Brynna is so used to being treated like glass and held on a high pedestal, the fact Naz refuses to do that, but also refuses to use her as a chess piece, draws her in beyond her initial reactions to him. She also accepts Naz as he is and acknowledges that his love helps her accept the darkness that had previously eaten her with guilt. This is a well laid solid story about knowing and accepting who you are.
For anyone who’s read Fight for You, there are tie backs to this story that help give you further depth to scenes you encounter in that story. So, it’s nice the author maintained those links and allowed us to see things from a different perspective. It does have a strong mafia troupe, so be aware. A great story to enjoy.
Nazario Leyva is 26 and the surviving heir of the family. His father, stepmother and half siblings were killed by Felipe Rojas. Naz’s American mother insisted he come back to America when he was eleven. His friend and confidant, Nicholas Arias has been with him. Naz is a Columbian drug lord based in Los Angeles. However, the government knows that Naz is the only thing keeping Felipe Rojas out of the United States.
Nolan Sullivan is the head of the Irish mob and has stolen three deals from Naz. The only thing Sullivan cares about besides business are his two children, Niall and Brynna. Brynna is 21 and in college. Nicholas tells Naz that he thinks they have a traitor giving Sullivan information. Naz decides to go after Brynna to get back at Sullivan. However, his plans change when he sees and meets Brynna.
The back and forth between Naz and Brynna was fascinating. I loved watching Naz turn into the man he was supposed to become while still leading his organization. Brynna’s strength and true knowledge of the world around her was awesome.
I have been wanting this story! This is dare I say a prequel to one of the best books Nichole Rose has ever written, and one of the main characters makes his “first” appearance, I squealed!!! Nazario(Naz) is the God of War, a brutal man, a man who is in control of one of the biggest crime families. Brynna(Irish), the beloved princess of the rival crime family. The first time Naz saw Brynna he had to have her, not to wage war, but because she was his whole world. Brynna who had always been kept in a gilded cage, just wanted a life of freedom. But she wanted Naz, and was willing to swap one cage for another, as long as that cage was with Naz. God of War is marvelously written. It is brutal and beautiful, the story grabs you and does not let go. The spice in the book is next level, and the betrayal is brutal and is shocking. I loved this book. Check your triggers before going into God Of War.
The double standard and casual sexism of the MMC always making her feel like an object when he’s obsessing over her virginity was ICK. Especially when he spent such a long time whoring around with OW before he met Brynna was GROSS.
I don’t like when the MMC uses the FMC’s sexual inexperience to leverage a power dynamic to make her feel inferior when they are being intimate. He loved that she was the inexperienced one and never let her forget it.
It’s just disrespectful and honestly toxic.
Him constantly bringing it up or making her repeat that she’s “his and only his” while he’s been a whore for so long just makes it seem like she’s just a body or a hole to him.
Brynna deserved better and just like a lot of other trusted reviewers, I’m staying away from this author unless it’s a DV romance or at least one where the MMC actually LIKES WOMEN and doesn’t just act like a spoiled misogynist who only likes to fuck female anatomy but treats women like objects.
I liked this story with a villain/ anti-hero as the main male character. It was entertaining and enjoyable with a lot less violence than I was expecting of a “mafia” book. It’s more on the light side of that genre. There are descriptions of things that happened in the past or references to things but it’s not on page. Naz was over the top and given his past, I don’t know what anyone thought would happen with him. Brynna was a “princess” in a tower as far as her family was concerned. She wanted to be a little less kept in the dark and more informed about the things that made a difference in and to her life. Naz had a plan but Brynna knocked him for a loop and he had to try to figure out where the ground was again. Brynna was surprised by her reaction to Naz but more by his reaction to her. I kind of loved their interactions. Their happily ever after made me smile. I recommend reading this book.
Holy cow. I absolutely loved this. Fight for You is my absolute favorite Nichole Rose book. And Naz was mentioned in it. We know he helped Michael. Now we get to see Michael again. I loved that we got another scene for him. Naz was a Mafia leader, but he was pretty reluctant in the role. He just did what he had to do. He had a plan for revenge... Brynna. That all changed, and in the best way, when he saw her in person for the first time. She belonged to him. I absolutely loved these two together. Their chemistry was beyond combustible. She was the light to his dark. She was sweet, but she also was brave. I loved that she didn't let her father and brother get in their way. I loved how Nichole handled the war between their families and the ending was perfect.

This is my first review coming from my laptop so excuse me if this is more polished than what I normally write. I enjoyed this book, I think for what it was. It was 3 stars for the expectations I had set. There was nothing inherently wrong with it, but I didn't realize it would be more of a novella. It was less than 150 pages. It was great enough that I felt I could devour it in one night (I was babysitting for 4 hours and the baby was asleep the whole time, sue me!) - that being said I don't think I would give it higher than 3 stars because it's not a novella, but it gave me novella pacing and borderline whiplash. I think a longer story would've given the plot a fair chance and would've given me more of an investment. That said, I didn't hate it, but it would have benefitted from a maturation of a normal length book.
I absolutely freaking LOVED this book!!! It had me on the edge of my seat with suspense as well as SWOONING so hard at times!! Naz & Brynna= end game! Their chemistry is so intense! You can feel all the feels while reading it! The smexy times between them are HOT AF🔥🥵🫠 The drama and twists were so good as well as heartbreaking! Appearance of Kincaid had me wanting to read Fight for You all over again!!!! I loved everything about this book!!!! Can’t wait for the next one! Highly highly recommend this phenomenal book!!!
I received this as an arc from the author and I’m voluntarily leaving my honest review.
This was an absolutely epic enemies to lovers romance. It was a well written, dark romance and I loved it, there’s just something special about a completely unapologetic antihero who just has one redeeming quality and that’s his love for the heroine. And that was just what this story presented. Naz was just the perfect antihero and I loved him almost as much as Brynna did. The two faced a lot of trials in the story but in the end it was worth it.
Going into this, I wasn't really sure what to expect from the glimce we got of Naz in a previous book... but it was so much better than I expected. Naz and Brynna were absolutely delicious together! He knows who is and accepts his place in this world, but when he meets her, his priorities change. He will always be "not a good man," but he's determined that Brynna feels no repercussions for his or her father's actions. The lengths he goes to, and journey of self discovery for both of them was illustrated perfectly. I loved this story and cannot wait to see more from this series!
Something about this one drew me in super fast. I was fully immersed in Naz and Brynna’s almost Romeo and Juliet type of romance. One thing is for sure is that Naz was not playing around with his devotion and love for Brynna one bit. It was really swoony if I’m being honest. How can you hear, "War doesn't matter. You do, Brynna," from a crime boss and not sigh in content over the romance of it all. This book had me locked in during all 200 pages, and I couldn’t ask for more except more of the lovey dovey stuff in the epilogues lol.
The author provides an intense, irresistible couple that generated sparks and tension in plentiful amounts as they navigate the complexities of a forbidden love. Naz was ruthless and completely unapologetic man known as the God of War but for his enemy’s daughter, Brynna, he becomes the God of love. He will do anything to protect her from the escalating clashes between him and her father. I was totally drawn into their story as they build their relationship amidst close enemies and dangerous circumstances. Great read.
I really wanted to like this book so bad. There were so many things missing. I expected like a real forbidden love/infatuation/attraction to eachother. Nope, it was like- Naz is at the ball he sees Brynna, walks to her, has a 2 second conversation with his supposed "Rival" super calm and then takes her to dance. No push back from the family, no threats, they just let her go and shes cool with it. IDK maybe its just me. Its seemed so bland to me. I couldnt get passed Chapter 3. Maybe later ill try again but for now its a DNF for me.

**This is an ARC review for my honest opinion** I couldn't stop reading Naz truly is the God of War especially for Brynna. He is so different with her and would set the world on fire if she was hurt or touched by anyone else. Don't get it twisted he is still ruthless but when it comes to her all bets are off and you get a whole nother side of him. You can't come for her and not expect him to retaliate. This was an awesome read.
God of War is a 5 star read, if I could give it more I would. I love Nichole's instalove short reads, with her alpha males. But damn the chemistry and passion from the leading morally grey men just hits different, and in the best way. Their overprotective nature, with the touch her a ☠️vibes are so in character for them. The drama is perfectly mixed with the spice and it's a page turning read. I'm not saying anything else except go and read this now, you will not be disappointed.
I have waited for what seems like FOREVER for this book. It was beautifully written. Naz (H) was an antihero that I absolutely loved—and they aren't usually my thing. He was ruthless and completely unapologetic. His only soft spot was Brynna (H). He would happily burn the world down for her.
I definitely can't wait to see where NR takes us next.
I received this as an arc from the author and I’m voluntarily leaving my HONEST review.
leakes of depth ... there is no build up whatsoever :( it's a shame because it had so much potential!! i would've voting it higher but i couldn't because it was to much... instalove and lust, i can't believe in the i love yous so soon, he was completely smitten just like that, her too. I needed more ! i could get it if the book were shorter but not like this. I skimmed trough the end because i didn't feel their love believable , but i still enjoyed it tho.
3stars It was good overall, but i prefer for the male leads to be stronger. You know the type that nobody can win against. I just couldn't connect with the couple too much. There were a lot of problems in their lives but everytime they met instead of talking and finding a solution they just kiss and have sex. I like hot scenes too, but in this one I was like, find out the answer before doing it dude.
5 stars!! I love Nichole Rose's sweet alpha MMCs but her morally grey MMCs are everything. Unapologetic, protective, and burn down the world energy. The spice in this book is hot. I couldn't get enough of Naz. He's the God Of War but his love for Brynna is so heartwarming. He creates chaos and destruction wherever he goes but willing to do anything to make Brynna's life easier. So good!
It wasn’t bad, but it wasn’t good either. It was somewhat in between. I just wanted to read a mafia book and this did deliver that.
I also really liked their dynamic, they are cute. I’m glad Naz didn’t treat her like a child or some little girl and was always honest with her, which she obviously respected and appreciated.
