Adam Park is a project manager for a Fortune 500 telecommunications company. While he’s a family man, coming home for Sunday dinners every week and playing flag football with his four older brothers, he’s also a devout bachelor with a strict 15-min cuddling limit. He’s not a player though; he always lets his partners know the deal upfront.
Maya Davis owns It’s Personal, a small business specializing in handmade and custom gifts. She spends her evenings binging “The Great British Bake Off”, putting her own twist on recipes from her grandmother’s cookbook, and having girls’ night with her best friends Tiffany and Denise.
When Adam is tapped as best man for a ritzy NYC wedding, he finds the perfect custom champagne flutes on It’s Personal’s website. Every time Maya gives an update on the order, Adam can’t help but flirt, and a delay with the vendor means Maya must deliver the flutes in person.
When they meet, sparks fly, but the road ahead is rough. Maya is far from Adam’s usual “type”, the groom’s younger sister has decided now is the perfect time to shoot her shot, and hurtful comments from someone Adam trusts force Maya to face deep-rooted insecurities.
Can Adam reform his bachelor ways and fight for a real relationship? Can Maya overcome her unresolved trauma and give Adam the benefit of the doubt? Together, they’ll discover whether their feelings are more than skin deep.
The epitome of a late bloomer, Katherine managed her near constant sexual frustration as an adolescent by writing spicy romance shorts to entertain herself and her close friends. This hobby continued into college, where she began posting her shorts to a blog no one visited.
Many years later, when her mother lost her battle to cancer, Katherine inherited a Kindle fully loaded with romance novels. Katherine decided to read all the stories loaded onto the eReader to feel closer to her late mother, ultimately reigniting her passion for steamy love stories and inspiring her to write her own. Her work will always feature characters with experiences and viewpoints which are often underrepresented in mainstream romance.
Katherine holds a degree in English and an MBA. Based in Houston, TX, she's a wife and mom to a gifted young man and two cats. When she's not writing, Katherine spends her limited free time reading romance novels, watching the latest entry into the MCU, and predicting the ending to Hallmark movies.

Champagne kisses by Katherine E. Webb This book was so cute I loved their champagne flûte meet cute, I love the plus size FMC rep. I could relate so much with her insecurities in a relationship. Their connection is undeniable and adorable. The spice was chefs kiss period lol. This book was a fun and cute read. Rating: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
I loved everything about this book! From the relatability of a woman’s struggles and insecurities around dating, to the ups and downs of friendship, and the blending of friends and family in a new relationship. I laughed, cringed and smiled so much to the point where I was sad when the book ended. Can’t wait for the author to write more books!
While I was taken with Maya right away, it took me a few chapters to fully trust Adam, lol. The author does a great job of emphasizing the need to love yourself before you can really love someone else. I appreciated that Adam wasn’t presented as Maya’s savior but rather her catalyst for change. I also liked that the emphasis was on Maya changing her self-perception and not her physical appearance.
Beautiful! I laughed, blushed and giggled my way through this story. The one thing I want to know is how the Emily thing unfolded. Talk about your plot twists, lol!
Champagne Kisses: A Curvy Romance by Katherine E. Webb is definitely a hidden gem. Binged it in just one day.
It totally foregoes the shy, curvy "can't get a guy" trope. And the male lead, Adam, is/was a player, but he isn't toxic. He's actually a good/honest guy WITH FEELINGS.
Could not stop reading, characters are so real, was like im a bystanders watching each interaction between the characters from my couch. Will be watching this writer very closely for new books published.
This book actually exceeded my expectations. I hope that there will be more interconnected standalone either focused on her friends or his brothers (maybe both?). It was a nice read. I really liked the two main characters.
This while on the surface should’ve been exactly what I like, I can’t help but be disappointed. It was just so incredibly flat. I think also a bit too unrealistic? It just didn’t feel logical or grounded in much reality.
In Champagne Kisses: A Curvy Romance, Katherine E. Webb brings a sparkling new voice to the genre of romance/romantic comedy. Her story has plenty of humor but also packs an emotional punch. Maya Davis has left the dreary world of corporate America and started her dream venture of creating handmade and custom gifts for all occasions. She is basically happy but continues to grapple with issues related to self-esteem due partly to childhood teasing but continued by her acceptance of the view others hold of her. When she takes a large and inconvenient online order from Adam Park, the pair indulge in lighthearted flirting. Adam is a carefree and highly sought after bachelor, but talking to Maya is addictive. Their first in-person meeting is anything but cute. However, once they sort out their initial awkward meeting, they find that they are highly compatible! But will Maya sabotage this relationship like she has all the others? Ms. Webb has given us a very well written and emotionally satisfying story. Both characters were engaging, and I loved the secondary characters! https://theretiredreader.com/f/champa...
This was a great story It explores low esteem that Maya has because of childhood bullying that brought the trauma over into her adulthood Meeting Adam a hot Asian that she falls in love with moves the story along in a very enjoyable way Their love story with some hiccups is very realistic and the ending makes you feel good that you read the book First time reading this author, but won’t be the last Great job Katherine!
Ms. Webb you wrote an excellent book. This book had me up until 6am reading just trying to get more pages in. I’ve been waiting for a book to pull me in and you delivered, thank you. Adam and Maya were absolutely adorable. Adam the playboy falls quickly for Maya. He knew what he wanted and went after her. Unfortunately some insecurities for Maya continued to impact her relationships. Due to some honest words from those close to her, Maya finally decides to get the help she needs and grab her HEA. This book had the laughs, the hot steam, and all the feels. I loved it.
I've been in a book rut for a couple of weeks. I'd start one and not finish it. This is not me. I found this book by chance and I'm glad I did. It was absolutely wonderful. I didn't want it to end. I'm hoping the brothers have their own book and we get to see more of Maya and Adam.
This book brings everything you want to a romance! The drama, the steamy romance scenes, the passion, the heartbreak! It’s beautifully written and dives into the feelings of unworthiness and shame over our appearance that many of us feel. One of the best romances I’ve read this year!
This was a cute read—short, sweet, and with just the right touch of depth. While lighthearted overall, it touched on some more serious topics, which made it thought-provoking and relatable. The cast of characters was enjoyable, and there was a nice bit of humor throughout. I’m definitely looking forward to diving into the next book in the series!
First Read by K. Webb - I Look Foward to Reading More!
This was my first read by author Katherine Webb. I don't exactly remember how I stumbled upon this book, but I think it may have been through some kind of Facebook or Instagram ad. There were three main points of interest from the title and the cover art alone. When it is my personal time, I prefer to read romance as I'm engaged in research articles and the issues of the world in my profession. I also enjoyed knowing that this story was going to be one that centered a Black woman and her happiness, combined with a male protagonist that was absolutely smitten with her. As a fellow curvy Black woman, those are exactly the type of romance stories that I enjoy, along with those that have a slow burn element. Their start was a little slow, but once they got rolling, they were FULL STEAM ahead!
Pros: 1. I loved the realness of the characters: the realness displayed in their own internal dialogue, the honesty and vulnerability in the way that they communicated with each other and about aspects of their relationship, the fact that issues pertaining to their very real realities as an interracial couple were brought up and addressed, and the way they were committed to each other. 2. The sex scenes. YES. Read them for yourself. 3. SPOILER: I appreciate and am proud of Adam taking that necessary break from Maya. She needed to hear the feedback that both Adam and Denise gave her, and needed to implement that in real time for not only Maya's individual success moving forward, but the sake of her relationships with Adam and Denise also.
Cons: 1. It was very clear that Maya had a lot of personal work to do around her self-confidence and self-image. What I think Adam is lacking is that same understanding regarding how he has been so entrenched in the patriarchy.
One of the most salient takeaways of this novel for me is the inclusion and depiction of healthy relationships at varying levels and across different relationship types. While this book is in the romance genre, there are things to be gleaned about the sibling bond, the parent-child bond, etc. that were depicted in a healthy and loving way in this novel. This was an enjoyable read, so much so that I finished it in a day.
Maya is a 26yr old Black woman living in beautiful Brooklyn following her passion in crafting much to her mother’s dismay. Although often in relationships, she deals with intense insecurities due to her childhood trauma (ooof been there, sometimes still there but we are all works in progress). After a messaging snafu on her customs Etsy page, she hand delivers her goodies to her customer, Adam, IRL.
Adam is a 28yr old Korean American bachelor (the word bachelor is putting it sooooo mildly) who is so smitten by Maya that he acts a whole ASS when they first meet. So much so that he reaches out to her next day to smooth things over and the rest is a whirlwind romance.
I loved the honesty of this story, yes the steamy scenes were good but the best parts were honest conversations between friends about trauma dumping and seeking therapy.
I liked how both characters experienced issues regarding cultural stereotypes and not just the FMC. I also appreciated how both characters needed to grow to be together, granted Adam 🙂↔️… the references to all the women in his past was ALOT.
The issue with Adam’s brother was giving Molly and Andrew “Asian Bae” from Insecure Season 4, Episode 7… IYKYK and I didn’t like that part ONE BIT! I wanted a little, ALOT MORE, checking from Adam about that. Those microaggressions were very MACRO.
A pretty good story. I liked the way it addressed the insecurities the female lead felt, from baggage she has carried since her teen years. Also the male lead had his own issues to deal with concerning stereotyping of asians. It was good that Maya finally was brought to realize that she might benefit from some therapy to deal with her insecurities over her self worth. Well written, and not too many grammatical or editorial errors. I hope this is the start of a series because I would like to read about more he's for Adam's brothers and Maya's best friends.
This is the first book in The Park Brothers series. It tells the story of Adam Park, the youngest of the five Park brothers and Maya. Adam meets Maya through her website, It’s Personal.
After a mix up with an order that Adam places Maya agrees to hand deliver it to the wedding reception in Cape Cod. Adam is gosmacked when he meets Maya. They start a relationship shortly after.
This is an interracial romance with Adam being Korean and Maya is a Black womanly with long love who is thick. The book is bout them coming together, the development of their relationship with all the sexy bits and bumps a couple has. With a side helping of therapy for Maya. It ends with their engagement and HEA.
This was a sweet, sexy and fun read that’s why I’m giving it 3.5⭐️. Borrowed this from Kindle Unlimited.
This is a must read if you love romance, laughter, tears & spicy scenes. I loved Mya & Adam's chemistry of not just the erotic love making but also the laughter. The best friends, Tiffany and Denise were truly some of the best written scenes as well. I loved this book. I hope Ms. Webb bring sequels for the best friends as well as the brothers of Adam.
I’ve read a lot of books, call me a book nerd. That said I have not ready anything like this. I am in love with the two characters and storyline. The story just reminds me of the average real world problem with regards self love. Absolutely a wonderful story about loving and accepting ones self. Oh…, yeah and lots of passionate moments😉. It’s a prefect blend of love and passion.
This book was soooo good from start to finish. I loved the interracial relationship representation because you dont really see it often.
Maya and Adam were absolutely perfect and I loved everything about them. even though Maya had insecurities about herself she had to get over he still supported her and showed her how she should be treated and cared.
I loved Maya friend group and all of Adam's siblings. I cant wait to read more!!!
This was an enjoyable read and not my unusual preferred trope. The summary was interesting so I decided to try it and out and very happy I did. I loved the flirtation between the Adam and Maya. It was always paced well, nothing felt forced or rushed. A few parts were a bit repetitive to me but overall a good read. Can’t wait to read more from this author ! 🙂
Wow . This is my first book by this author and it had me in all my feels ! I loved how Maya was able to take charge in the bed room, and Adam let her , which isn’t often seen in other novel . The story does have some typos but they do not distract from the main plot . Still the book is Five stars all day . I hope to read more ….
Really enjoyed this novel It being the 1st time I've read anything by this author.. She really spun a good story line with issues that impact us even now Love the passion and the dynamic between Maya and Adam
