Another delightful read! The sect is developing well, there was some world building beyond the current realms and hints at connections in upper layers of creation with the lowest one, so looking forward to those mysteries. The cultivation system was more thoroughly fleshed out as well. Lots of growth in the character’s strength wise and I would say in general as well. Ashfallen sect has grown more tight-nit over the various problems they have dealt with together and I am truly starting to appreciate their relations. Sect building was well paced and enjoyable, fights left me goodly frustrated and the eventual release was appreciated, had me feeling like a villain enjoying their demise. Over all 10/10
Ashlock and family are starting their new cultivation pill enterprise and get double crossed right out the gate. They battle and grow stronger. Gain new abilities and skills. And find their past actions have started a war between noble families. They face down their betrayer and win. They then make plans to conquer the Sect from the inside with none the wiser.
A great installment to the series. The pacing is fast and steady, the world continues to expand, and the characters are growing. It’s an enjoyable and entertaining read. Please enjoy
Even though the story lags in some parts, the repetitive and pointless recaps have been reduced and Xkarnation's proses feel like some effort was actually put into them. That made it possible to for me to enjoy the story and to get through the roughly 900 pages.
Dante and Nox are great villains and Ashlock's power take his sect into some really interesting places. I love that we are getting POV chapters from a wide rage of characters (both allies and villains), as the other families are unique and well developed.
It's so basically I have out of Reddit and stuff and it's a pretty good book. Can't wait for before cause she's things are getting real. Um, overall, give me of the of the tree is pretty nice better than most of their little peaches about living trees do and honestly research pretty cool, especially when they can do magic. Books. About trees are cool. I like them. Five slash five A voice to text isn't making this
This is book 3 in the series. The story continues to progress with everyone getting stronger and facing different challenges. There’s some alchemy, plenty of action and adventure throughout the book. During this book they are moving to advance the Ashfallen Trading Company by trading some of the pulls they have made with some merchants but the merchants end up double crossing them and one of them escapes. The rest of the story is about them doing various things to get stronger or hunt down the merchant that escaped with the merchant eventually returning to them because little did she know but she had been cursed. She is obviously defeated in the end.

This series has only become more interesting and engaging as it goes on. There are many plots that I look forward to, and I am excited to see where it goes in the next one. I eagerly await more leafy goodness.
Since the 3rd book as been delayed for about a year now. I couldn't be arsed to wait any longer, I'm glad I made the decision. Things are getting better and better. Going straight into book 4
Thoroughly enjoyed this book and how our little tree family overlord empire is progressing, can't wait for more! I wonder where the story will branch off to next
More of the same , which is a good thing for me. The flow of the story is getting pretty predictable tho , big crisis at the beginning of the book then another large one at the end.
Who would have thought that a book where the MC is a tree would be this great? The series continues to expand the world building, present fresh threats and challenges, all while addressing and evolving the complexities of the key characters for depth and growth. Definitely going to pick up the next one when it drops.
