Rate this book
An Omega in danger, and four criminally hot men who’ll do anything to keep her.

Tatum used to have a best friend she could rely on, someone who was there for her through her hardest times. Right up until he broke her heart, vanishing from her life without so much as a goodbye.

It’s been three years since he abandoned her, and while she’s grown used to spending her days and nights alone, it’s still gut twisting to see him everywhere she turns now that he's suddenly back.

He and his older brothers, Declan and Kodiak, aren't shy about wanting her or declaring their intentions.
Terrified of repeating the same mistakes with Hayden, she runs...right into the arms of their bitter rival, Easton, a hitman known for his brutality.

Only then he goes and does the last thing any of them would ever expect, returning her to the three Alphas she so desperately wants to avoid.

They’re trying to tear down the walls she spent so long building, but she’s not the girl she was three years ago, and she knows better than to trust empty promises.

But can she really avoid having her heart broken again when the Alphas seem willing to do anything in order to make her theirs?

And if they succeed, will their love be enough to keep her forever…enough to keep her safe?
Or will their criminal lifestyles ruin everything…

meh

This was just an absolute mess. SA and r*pe are thrown around way too casually, the plot is bananas, the heroine is a nightmare, and I just idk. I didn’t vibe with any of it. It could have been a really really good and sweet and fun little book, but instead I was left annoyed and indifferent.

It took me 3 days to even get to 30%. I just couldn't go anymore. Plot coulda been ok..idk..the FMC was irritating as hell..so much inner monologue and explaining of things ad nauseaum. A good edit would do wonders and maybe I'd try again but not today..

I don’t like Tatum. At all. She has no self awareness, she’s a magnet for danger, she’s horribly naive to a fault- I’m talking like she almost gets kidnapped from work and then blames her ex boyfriend for trying to warn her. Ok. I want to shake her and tell her to get her head out of her ass, she’s so dumb. If she would just listen to people around her she’d get into a lot less trouble.

She also steals things? But feels bad when she finds out they hold sentimental value, but continues to steal? She literally steals things OFF OF PEOPLE multiple times. We can agree that’s fucking weird, right?

She also has the nerve to beg her boss for $50,000 dollars. “I don’t love needing to rely on other people to pay my bills, but that’s essentially what a boss is” GIRL WHAT ARE YOU TALKING ABOUT??? You aren’t asking for $20 fucking dollars here get the fuck out.

She relies on the fact that her bosses are interested in her. She uses them and then pushes them away. It’s so juvenile… I don’t think she cares that she’s completely dependent on these men she barely knows. She’s all just like happy go lucky to get whatever she wants to benefit her because her mother is ill and of fucking course her mates will give her the money. They won’t dare throw her out on the street…

I tried. But this one just did not connect.

The FMC was unrelatable. Supposedly the “girl next door” naïve type who just happens to be an exotic dancer.

The male love interests are three brothers who own sex shops and the strip joint she works at. In one scene both possessive and obsessed with her only to be scheduling her to work “the floor” and provide lap dances the next.

I found the most sympathetic character to be the homicidal “hit man.” At least I found his motivations and subsequent actions believable.

In summary the writing wasn’t able to pull off the concepts. I felt that it landed “flat.” I spent most of the book slapping my forehead just asking “why.” I’m off to get some pain killer for the resulting head ache.

I try not to give one star ratings because it takes a LOT to write a book and publish it. But this one, I couldn’t finish. I came here to see if it was just me, and it is not. There is so much repetition. We don’t need to hear why her mom is sick, or that the FMCs suppressants might be failing every other page.

I was really hoping to like this book and have a new author to read…but it’s definitely not happening with this book.

I loved Tatum and her story. She had been through so much after her father died and had her heart broken by her first love. She did what she had to in order to get the care her mother needed, and in doing so, put her in the path of her future packmates. She wasn’t looking for and didn’t want a pack, but sometimes, fate has other ideas. Sweet and spicy with a bit of suspense added in. Loved it!

Had some editing and continuity errors, and some characters and even different parts of the story came and went as needed. Also the male omega's storyline and inclusion into the pack happened too quickly at the end for my taste after such a big setup throughout the book. With that said, this kept my attention and I was able to escape into the story while reading.

FMC very wishy washy. All guys want her, she is strong but cries and gushes slick all the time. Not RH really and very slow burn. Just not for me

What an amazing story. I really enjoyed this world and these characters.

Our fmc is Tatum. I love her, she is a fiesty Omega and I am here for everything Tatum. She is struggling financially, which leads her to Haze Instincts.

Our mmc's are Hayden, Declan, Kodiak, and Easton. These men are all kind of unhinged in their own ways, but I do really like them. So we have Hayden. He has royally screwed up with Tatum, seeing as how Tatum and had always been close since they were in school until they turned 18 and it all went haywire. Declan and Kodiak are twins and also Hayden's big brothers. Declan is our more stoic alpha that really likes to stick to the rules until Tatum. Kodiak is a little unhinged if I do say so myself, but I appreciate that he's always honest. And finally Easton, I personally think he is the most unhinged and I really love him and his personality (you'll understand why soon).

The plot was definitely intense. We see Tatum struggling not only financially but with loneliness. She then meets these men/ re introduced to Hayden in a way, and I think they would be amazing for her, but she holds them at arms length. I get why, though. She's scared of something. There's a lot of ups and downs, secrets, family members doing things they shouldn't be doing, and it gets extremely complicated especially when you add in the fact that Tatum is hanging out with the enemy and that the guys need to grovel hard for some naughty things that occurred.

I love this story. You have to read it!!!!

Thank you so much to Kira and your amazing team for the opportunity to read this story. I am forever grateful 🙏

Kira Roman's Knot Happening was a spectacular read. A decadent omegaverse full of scents, knots, heats, growls, ruts, and everything else I come to love from omegaverse romance, and it was a why choose, a perfect combination.

The characters were great. Tatum was sweet and sassy, a miracle after all she had been through. Life kept knocking her down, but Tatum just got right back up. Tatum was inspiring. Her devotion to her mother’s care as her sole caregiver was beyond touching. I teared up a little bit.

I love a guy that's a little (or a lot, no judgment) psycho. Tatum has four of them that come into her life. In one's case, he's coming back. There's Hayden, her childhood sweetheart. Kodiak and his twin, Declan. Last is Easton, the mysterious assassin. The guys are determined to break down the walls Tatum has built around her heart. This is a slow burn but so worth it. Tatum tries her best to push them away, but they refuse to let her. Standing by her side no matter what. They are completely obsessed, and I was there for it.

The romance storyline is just the top layer of this plot. Underneath there's a dark subplot that takes a second to set in, and it involves murder, trafficking, and more. The brothers are a little criminally inclined, but it's for the greater good. One of their rivals is a criminal organization that is most definitely not about the greater good. So there was good conflict. It took me a while to figure out how Easton fit. Nothing about him made sense until it did. He was part of an interesting backstory that I wished I knew more about. I enjoyed the plot from the beginning until its very satisfying conclusion. If you love omegaverse, I highly suggest this one.

Omega survival mode

Tatum is an Omega who has been suppressing herself since she had a heartbreaking fallout after her first heat. The boy she loved ghosted her after it was over.

Tatum lost her father when she was just 8 and her mother struggled to survive until Tatum got to be an adult and was unable to keep pushing. So now Tatum is being the parent and she needs a better paying job so she can afford to put her mother in a care facility until she is better.

When she finds a job posting for Haze Instincts she knows they take care of their Omega staff and if she is a dancer or maybe something more she will be able to catch up on bills and get her mom taken care of.

As she is exposed to a few different irresistible Alphas she is forced to remember who she is and face everything she has been running from. Will she be able to accept all of her Omega nature, get her mother the care she needs, form a pack and let go of the past?

This book was sad and sweet too. Tatum has been through so much and she doesn't know how everything fits together. As the pieces fit into the puzzle she has to choose a future even if it is scary.

I love the ladies she works with at the club. Their personalities are so fun. Also, I love a groveling Alpha. Though Mr. Brownies was a fun twist. I love that the story was comprehensive and filled in all of the missing pieces in a way that was engaging and made sense.

That epilogue was so freaking sweet and an absolutely perfect ending.

This story follows Tatum who is an omega that is trying to take care of her sick mother but doesn’t have enough money to pay for the medical costs. Tatum lands herself a job at an omega club named Haze (it’s a sex club). There she finds some delicious alphas Declan and Kodiak who happen to be twins. Attraction is instant Tatum is left since she had some bad experiences with an alpha in the past. Tatum learns that Hayden also works for Haze. Hayden is the alpha from her past they broke her heart. Hayden also happens to be in a pack with Declan and Kodiak. Can the alphas convince Tatum to trust them with her heart and heat? Then there is this mysterious stranger that she is drawn to who has a hidden agenda and identity.

This story felt rushed at times and information felt like it was missing to make the story complete. Then there is another omega that rushed in and didn’t really have time to develop a relationship with. All the relationships felt like they were based on lust and don’t upgrade from there. There was no depth or time to bond and explore the relationships further. The ending didn’t have enough danger vibes and kind fell flat and felt anticlimactic.

Listen… I wanted to love this. The setup was right there, an omega with secrets, protective alphas, a potential found family vibe, and yet somehow it just never quite got off the ground.

Tatum could’ve been a heroine I rooted for, but I never felt like I really knew her. And the alphas? Kind of just blended together. There wasn’t enough individual development or chemistry for me to buy into any of it emotionally. Everything felt surface-level, from the connections to the conflict resolution, and y’all know I need that emotional bite if I’m going to fall for a pack.

The spice was there, sure, but it was doing all the heavy lifting, and honestly, without the character depth to back it up, it just didn’t hit. I needed more tension, more build-up, more reasons to care about these people beyond “they’re hot and they’re bonded.”

Also, the world-building felt paper-thin. There were hints of an interesting society or structure, but nothing was fleshed out enough to feel immersive. I kept waiting for the plot or emotional stakes to kick in, and they… never really did.

If you’re into:
✨ Quick omegaverse reads
✨ Light angst, light plot, heavy spice
✨ Pack dynamics without too much complexity

You might enjoy it for what it is. But for me? This one just didn’t have the emotional teeth or character depth I needed to really sink in.

Tatum had her heart broken by Hayden a few years ago and in the meantime she's caring for her mom, who basically went into such a deep depression after her husband died that it's affected her physically. Because her mom needed better care, Tatum is desperate for money and ends up working at a club (not knowing Hayden has been watching her and put the flyer of the club in front of her) where she meets Declan and Kodiak - Hayden's half-brothers...who of course, also want her.

Thankfully, Tatum doesn't easily take Hayden back. She makes him WORK for her affection. Just know there are a few things going on between her mom, the guys, threats, additional people that show up in the story...the ending may not be best read at 2:00 am just to keep everything straight. Haha!

Still good though!

1. the pacing is completely off It starts slow, starts getting disjointed, and by the end it’s speeding towards the ending.

2. I really did not love some of the decisions the characters made such as the reason why Hayden left, Tatum’s freakout, the jealousy scene, etc

3. The mafia subplot was very unnecessary.

4. I wish Easton’s character was better tied into the story since for the majority of the book the mc has two separate relationships, one with the brothers, and the other with Easton. In the end all the characters were just thrown in together in order to check off a happy ending.

5. literally what was the point in the high school teacher scenes.

6. The sick mom stuff was also unnecessary. It just gave a convenient excuse as to why the mc feels she needs to avoid relationships, which, to no one’s surprise, she doesn’t do a good job of.

Solid Omegaverse!

4.5 strong stars!🌟
Overall great story solid omegaverse. I love how they’re fighting their instincts. Lots of spice, TONS of slick and heated moments.

**Slight spoiler sort of**

I was nervous reading this for pretty much one reason and that was the other “O” listed. I knew it wasn’t another female and I would have been happy/fine if it was but the concern lay in not knowing or being guaranteed the smexual preferences of our three alphas so realistically this gave me anxiety on how the dynamic would work. Anyone who has read omegaverse knows there’s usually one omega in each pack. My fear was the male omega connecting only with the female omega and that dynamic doesn’t wholly work for me. To me, the male omega needs the alphas as well so I was relieved with how this turned out.

This book had a lot of potential to be five stars for me, but I felt like the last half of the book was way too rushed. I loved these characters so much and think it really would’ve benefited from being a duet instead of a single book. It was extremely unbelievable that Easton would just fall into bed with the alphas so quickly. I wish there had been either some foreshadowing in his POV chapters that he was into them even if he didn’t outright realize it or that we had more time between East and Tatum showing at their house Ghost showed up, or even in between Ghost showing up and the Omegas heat hitting.

I did love these characters and this world so much!! Just wish we had more time for the relationship to develop!!

Super slow burn

This was a well written story that had me crying in some parts and giggling in others. If you’re reading this for the spice, be prepared to wait an exceptionally loooong time for consummation, and we only really get one longer scene at around 90% with all the characters.

This is a super slooooow burn, with a pretty riveting plot that all seems to come together in a hurry, so fast my head was still spinning as we got to the spice that followed straight after.

The FMC was good to read, if a little infuriating, the MMCs were great, with rich back stories, but overall I give 4 stars because this book felt like a tease and then hit with everything all at once.

Romance? ❤️❤️❤️❤️

I'm not sure I've cried so many happy tears at the end of a book. Tatum has a lot of emotional trauma. This story definitely has a stalker vibe. But, in a good way. Most of the men are on the morally gray side. One is a bit unhinged. I love them all! I was engaged for the entire book. It was more about the characters and their journey to each other than the plot. The end was a bit rushed. I kept reading, thinking it was maybe going to be a series. I like this omegverse world and hope to see more stories with some of the side characters. It has a bit of MM content, but not between the brothers.

Tatum's (FMC) story is not a happy one at the beginning of this book. Struggling to make ends meet and caring for her broken mother (who has sadly lost her mate). When a new job presents itself that seems to help her money troubles but with it it brought a lot of hurt to resurface. Namely a ghost from her past as well as Alphas that can't seem to keep their hands off of her. Throwing a curve ball like Easton into the mix too added a different level but I couldn't help but like him. A brilliant read.

Hectic but sweet

What a delight.
This book started with heartbreak. The struggle and tragedy of Tatum and her mother's situation was intense. Throw in four stubborn and somewhat misguided males and you've got a situation.
Tatum takes a second job at an 'entertainment' venue and comes into orbit of the three Hayes brothers and their nemesis.
They fall in love. Spicy shenanigans. There was indeed a third act break up. A very bad guy.
But there's still a HEA.
I read this book quickly and enjoyed the banter and sass.

omg loved the story

I’ve been in a reading slump DNFing so many books and finally found a story to keep me captivated… now with that though there were still some parts that were a bit of a struggle like Tatums struggle with the past trauma she dragged that on for ever I get it pasts are hard to overcome sometimes. But honestly it was easy to get over it falling in love with all these little psychos 🤣🤣🤣 absolutely loved Kodi’s obsession with getting Easton even though he doesn’t know him but smells brownies everywhere and missing the mark it was hysterical.

This book was so good. Tatum was such a complex character and I absolutely loved everything about her. She was completely devoted to her mom and her willingness to pretty much do anything to get her the help she needed was inspiring.

Her relationships with the men in this book is complicated and drama filled, but so worth the read. Easton was my absolute favorite though. Hayden as well, and his complete devotion to Tatum despite their past.

This is a great read and I’m hopeful we will see some of the side characters stories in the future!

The story is unique and i love the unhinged MMC's but the pacing was off. At 76% there isn't a relationship/pack building, only some spice and push & pull. In the last pages there is the relationship/pack building even the new MM relationship...in the last pages? It's too rushed...

I just loved this book. Omegaverse books are a favorite of mine and Knot Happening was just awesome. My heart goes out to Tatum. All she wants to do is provide for her unwell mom. Since her father died her mom has been going downhill. Tatum is so sweet, kind and caring. Her mates show her kindness, love, protection. This book has some twist and turns but also has some sweet moments. I absolutely loved it. Can’t wait to read more from Kira Roman!!!

A cute story for Tatum

I enjoyed reading this book featuring Tatum and omega who was struggling to live. She wants to take care of her mom, but doesn’t have enough money to pay for the medical costs. Tatum gets a job at an omega club named Haze. There she finds some delicious alphas Declan, Kodiak, and her long lost friend Hayden. I wish that there was more together time with the Alphas and Tatum. There is a lot going on with Tatum, the alphas, and the villain. Read On!
