Ten years ago, Jude Beckett walked out of my life without a trace. The worst part is I fell in love with him after our memorable summer together. Being my best friend's brother, there's no escaping him when we come face-to-face for her wedding festivities a decade later. Jude is a charming, perfectionist doctor, while l'm an anxious brunette dealing with a mountain of grief. He's determined to make things right and show me he's ready this time. Do I risk my heart again for a second chance at love with him?
Jude -
Ella Thatcher is off-limits. She's my little sister's best friend and the only person who has ever truly known me. Ten years ago, we shared the best summer of our lives, and then it all fell apart when I left for medical school. Now, seeing her again reignites my feelings, as if no time has passed. I need to prove to her that l'm dependable. But winning her trust isn't easy, especially when she's already holding me at arm's length, and will be the one leaving this time. Can I convince her to give us another chance, or have I lost her forever?
Amelia discovered her love for writing in third grade when her teacher praised her story about hidden treasure as "phenomenal." Pairing this early encouragement with years of obsessively watching "Notting Hill" and "You’ve Got Mail," it's no surprise Amelia now writes contemporary romance novels. When she's not writing or reading, Amelia spends her time raising her two fierce daughters or enjoying late night pizza with her husband.
I love Amelia’s writing and how she tells a story. A second chance romance is one of my favorite tropes and she wrote Jude and Ella’s second chance beautifully. Jude and Ella met 10 years prior when they were in their early twenties and had an instant connection which lead them to spending the summer together before Jude when to medical school. They both fell hard and because Ella is Jude’s little sister’s best friend the miscommunication trope reared its ugly head causing Jude to leave Lawson Hills and Ella and not come back for 10 years. Ella has anxiety, she’s unsure of herself most of the time but Jude made her feel safe and wanted, which she didn’t get from her parents. Fast forward 10 years later and they get their second chance but not without obstacles. I enjoyed the character development for Jude and Ella, especially Ella. I was also happy that Amelia wrote Ella who was stubborn and independent but not so much where it became unbearable to read (because that happens!). Such a great book! I loved it!
Amelia’s writing always draws me in! (3 for 3 so far) I really enjoyed this friends to lovers and seeing Cole and Delaney sprinkled throughout! I have a quite a few highlights on this one!
I really enjoyed getting the then and now timeline, it provided you with angst during the slower burn in the present!
Jude and Ella’s story was so cute and I’ll as always be more excited to read more from Amelia!
What to expect Doctor Small town Second chance Emotional Scars The one that got away
Thank you so much Author Amelia Chasen, for giving me the awesome opportunity to read another ARC of your new upcoming romance novel- “Someday Not Soon” The second installment in the “Lawson hills book series” 5⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️read!! This book was truly unforgettable! I read it voraciously, savoring each bittersweet scene. The characters captivated me instantly, and by the second chapter, I was completely hooked!! Amelia Chasen, profoundly writes with passion and love expressing you into a deep engrossing read that travels through the lovely book tropes that I adore🩷 Best friend’s brother, second chance, time then and now, caretaker, friends to lovers-(Chef kisses💋✨) Dual POV, etc. Each one of these tropes was created with a journey to engage and captivate you so much it’s impossible to put the book down🥹

He's determined to redeem himself and prove his devotion. Which leaves Ella, wondering if she will take a chance on him and risk getting hurt again?👀 And that’s when the lovely Amelia Chasen introduces us to my new book lover Jude Beckett♥️✨- Ella Thatcher, was off-limits!! matter of fact that wasn’t even the words to begin to describe her. She was his little sister's closest friend and the only one who had ever genuinely seen him. Ten years prior, they had shared a summer that would stay with him forever, until he left for medical school and everything fell apart. Now: Running into her again brings back strong emotions, as if their time apart never happened. To find out how their second chance love story unfolds you will have to read “Someday Not Soon” soon as possible💫 But not only does Amelia Chasen, deliver an amazing plot she also engrosses you into her two main characters.
Ella Thatcher’s portrayal of her character is infused with love, passion, and determination, making her a truly admirable figure. her fiery spirit and yet warm and loving personality radiates through every scene, which adds layers to her story that comes along with an emotional journey that only adds to her beauty, and she still manages to shine through it all. The depth of her love for Jude, which has been clear since their early days, is stunningly conveyed. Each moment they share is a masterclass in emotional depth, and her unshakeable support is so heartwarming and cinnamon roll sweet you can never be sick of them🥹🩷
Jude Beckett my new obsession! and happens to be an amazing Doctor alongside🩵 He embodies his character with a presence that is not just appreciated but necessary. Amelia Chasen has does it again! Absolutely adored this read. I fell in love with Jude immediately! A heart throbbing, sensitive, and thoughtful man. He knew Ella more than she knew herself and waited patiently for her, while admitting his own faults. Ella is also super cute. Shy, but not afraid to put herself out there sometimes. She's been through a lot and Jude has always been there to help her through it. They both were made for each other! Their banter and jokes were also just chefs kiss! 🩵
I loved the different POV perspectives and the backstory timeline where we get to see what led up to the WHY they were the way they were. So many cute details and memories with them; no wonder they couldn't leave each other alone. They have an amazing history together! Perfect short story with relatable characters & beautiful meaning behind the both of them as well. Grief can be a wild ride; but durable with someone who truly loves and supports you through it all. I also LOVED that it started with the Bachelor and Bachelorette parties - brought out the fun in everyone (plus, we see Delaney and Cole!!) Wonderfully written yet again and always a pleasure reading her work. Thankful for the opportunity for the ARC read! 🫶🏼
Someday Not Soon was a cute, fun read. It had enough sadness tied in that it gave me all the feelings. I found Ella extremely relatable with the anxiety, people-pleasing and overthinking. And Jude was the caretaker who helped bring an ease to her life and helped mellow her out. Their love was sweet and I enjoyed reading every part of it.
The way Amelia Chasen wrote the feelings and experience while cleaning out Ella's parents house is all too real. As someone who has lost a parent, it was very relatable and hit close to home.
The dual timeline was a great way to allow the reader to know what happened in the past so we aren't trying to piece together what exactly went wrong between the two of them. It also allowed us to watch them fall in love twice, which was a nice touch. 5/5⭐
I am so glad I found Amelia Chasen! This book had everything - now and then timelines (which I absolutely loved), second chance, best friend’s brother, found family. It was all so so good.
Someday Not Soon was so beautiful and full of so much vulnerability. I loved the way Jude and Ella met. Their instant connection and the summer they spent together had me rooting for them. Everything just felt so easy and sweet but enter the miscommunication trope.
But their character growth made up for it! I really felt for Ella and how she felt alone/unsupported. But Jude knew her, the real her, even after 10 years apart. He knew how to show up for her and took responsibility for his actions. I just loved seeing them come together again and navigate their relationship as older adults.
Thank you Amelia for the ARC! Another great addition to the Lawson Hills series.
This is my first(but definitely not last) Amelia Chasen novel. I was lucky enough to receive this as an ARC. I was honestly blown out of the water by this book. It had the best tropes: 🐚 BFF’s brother 🐚 Second Chance 🐚 Dual POV 🐚 Dual Timeline 🐚 Friends to Lovers
This book was such an easy read, I didn’t ever feel like the friends to lovers romance was over done. I didn’t have the “okay, just get together already” annoyance. It has the perfect amount of back and forth. 🤌
There is mental health representation and I love it! I felt more seen/heard being able to relate to a character in that way.
There are some heavy topics talked about in this book also so check your ‼️‼️‼️TW‼️‼️‼️
I highly highly recommend this book, the plot is great, character development is top notch, and the spice is 🤌.
Ella and Jude warmed and hurt my heart throughout this book. I loved that it was told in past and present timelines and it made the tension created in their story even better. Amelia’s writing sucks you in immediately and her stories are easy to follow. I feel so immersed in her characters and the found family they have.
First off, I need to thank @ameliachasenwrites for the ARC opportunity- I feel so lucky to have read this early! I didn’t read the first book in the series, but I can confidently say Someday Not Soon stands strong as a standalone. That said, I couldn’t shake the feeling that reading the first book might have added a richer layer to the experience, so, if you can, definitely start with book one.
Now, let’s get to the good stuff: Ella and Jude. I loved them. Ella is such a relatable character—an overthinking, people-pleasing, anxious ball of emotions. But beneath that is this fierce determination to handle life, even when it keeps throwing curveballs her way. And Jude? He’s every reader’s dream MMC. Protective, patient, charming, and just endlessly kind.
The dual POV and timeline structure worked brilliantly. Seeing their love story unfold from both perspectives and across different periods gave me a deeper appreciation for their connection. Why they fell apart, why they held on, and why fate just wouldn’t let them go. You feel the weight of their past mistakes, their pain, and their growth. It’s a story about second chances, not just in love but also in rediscovering yourself and your worth.
Amelia has this way of mixing swoon-worthy romance with just enough heartache to hit you in your soul. This book wasn’t just cute and fun—it had depth. There’s sadness, growth, healing, and those quiet moments that make you pause and go, “Wow, I felt that.”
So yeah, if you love romance with layered characters, a touch of angst, and a whole lot of heart, you need this book in your life. Go ahead, add it to your TBR—you’ll thank me later!

I was hooked from the very beginning and savored every page of the story! I loved every second of this book from the found family friendship, the open door spice, how the story flows so brilliantly, and the “its always been you” vibes! “my home isn’t a place—it’s a life built around my own happiness. it’s being with jude, and surrounded by friends who feel like family. it’s a potential career that may not pay as much, but fulfills me in ways that matter. it’s the cold ocean tide lapping at my feet and the warmth of his hand in mine. some days you merely survive, and others you flourish. finally, i’m home.”
after reading the way you shine, i was so excited to read about ella and jude!! though this is part of a series, i don’t think it’s necessary to read the first book, but one would benefit from being introduced to the background characters. that being said, amelia really hit it out of the park with this book. she has such a way with words. the way she us able to convey sadness, growth, and healing is beautiful. i also really loved that amelia incorporated a dual pov, showing us the past and present. being able to see the love story unfold from both perspectives and across different periods gave me a deeper appreciation for the connection between ella and jude.
ella and jude are such relatable and likable characters. i loved the relationship between them, they were made for each other. the tension between them, the way jude always cared for ella and how she realises her self-worth is very heartwarming and admirable. even after a decade apart, ella and jude were able to flow back into their natural connection with such ease. the way they were so accustomed to each other and still remembered the littlest things was just further proof that they were meant to be.
i really loved getting to know and fall in love with these characters!! i cannot wait to read amelia’s future work!! and once again thank you so much for giving me the chance to read the someday not soon early! 🩵

Ella returns to her small town after both of her parents pass to pack up & sell their home. This coincides with her best friend's wedding, and of course being in forced proximity with her best friends brother—who happens to be her summer fling years before.

I loved this one!
Second chance is not usually my jam, but I enjoyed this one as the reason for the breakup made sense.
Ella's anxiety & her lack of relationship with her parents was just so damn relatable. I felt so so so seen in so many things she said & thought.
Jude is just so gone for Ella and there were so many lines—inner dialogue and things he said out loud—that had me kicking my feet.
I loved the side characters, the tight knit best friend trio, and the cameos by previous MCs. I loved the character development. I loved the setting. I loved the wedding shenanigans. I loved the mix of tropes.
Absolutely recommend you put this one on your TBR, and read The Way You Shine (the first in the series) though this can be read as a standalone.

“I knew it had always been you” “Let’s be crazy together then. Let’s do it.”
This Lawson Hills novel was captivating from the very start. The character development and foreshadowing pull you right in and make it impossible to put the book down! Jude and Ella are perfect couple in this fun and heart warming romance. This was a definite 5 star read.
"Ella Thatcher may think she's ordinary, but to me, she's remarkable."
From the beginning of this fun, sweet romance, I found myself relating to Ella. Her childhood and family issues and her penchant for insecurity felt almost too familiar as if I was reading my journal from college. The relationship that was the center of this story was incredibly relatable, and how the past and present are seamlessly interwoven into their story gave the book a nostalgic feel. I felt as though the characters were old friends even though this was my first book by the author. While this is the second in a series, it felt enough like a stand-alone that I didn't feel left out of the side character's stories, and now I can't wait to go back and read book one!
The mental health aspect of this book was one I really appreciated. Some of my favorite quotes relate to how the FMC Ella felt about a given situation in light of her anxiety. "It's my natural disposition to overthink and worry about every single action that I take." Ahh, how relatable is that?!
To end this review I will share my favorite quote of the whole book, "Being around him instantly calms me, parting the clouds of disarray in my mind." What a beautiful thing to have someone you can say this about! I highly recommend this book if you are looking for a well-paced, lovely modern romance about second chances and overcoming even your biggest fears to find the life you truly want.
Someday Not Soon by Amelia Chasen is the second book in the Lawson Hills Series and tells the story of Ella as she comes back to the small town where she was raised only to find ghosts and memories of her younger self. She is happily met by her best friends as she does her best to dodge ‘the one that got away’ from her life, but is still buried deep within her heart.
I read The Way You Shine, book one in the Lawson Hills series, right before reading this one and completely fell in love with both books. Ella is such a complex character with layers of deep emotional pain and scarring that it is absolutely impossible not to feel an empathetic attachment to her. She, like so many others, is determined to handle life on her own no matter what is thrown at her, especially when her first love left so abruptly when they were younger cementing her independent mind set. When he shows up in her life again, she must decide if her rigid independence will be her salvation or her undoing and whether or not he is worthy of her trust and her heart. I finished this book in less than two days and could not put it down. I highly recommend, not only this book but the first in the series as well, if you love beautifully complex characters with fierce independence and the capability to love not just those around them, but themselves as well even if it takes someday not soon.
𝗥𝗘𝗔𝗗 𝗜𝗙 𝗬𝗢𝗨 𝗟𝗜𝗞𝗘: 🤍 second chance 🌸 best friend’s brother 🤍 friends to lovers 🌸 “it’s always been you” 🤍 caretaking 🌸 texts on page 🤍 open door romance 🌸 dual POV & timeline
𝗕𝗟𝗨𝗥𝗕: Ella finds herself back in Lawson Hills after the passing of her parents. Not only is Ella having to deal with that, but her best friend is getting married & she needs to attend all of the wedding festivities. When Ella goes on her friend’s combined bachelor/bachelorette party, Ella does not expect Jude to be there. Jude is a doctor & rarely gets time off of work but he made an exception for his little sister. Jude is also looking forward to seeing Ella, as he has not stopped thinking about her since the two of them didn’t work out years ago after a huge miscommunication between them. Ella tries her hardest to keep Jude at an arm’s length, but it may be the right time for the both of them even though they live in separate locations.
𝗠𝗬 𝗧𝗛𝗢𝗨𝗚𝗛𝗧𝗦: I loved Amelia’s first book in the series so much so I’m not surprised that I loved this second chance romance by her too! Ella starts out very closed off towards Jude, but Jude doesn’t give up & is persistent on being a part of Ella’s life. The caretaking moments between Jude & Ella were so sweet! It was amazing to read about the FMC taking care of the MMC when he was sick for a change. But don’t you worry, Jude also takes care of Ella in his own way too!
Amelia Chasen is quickly becoming one of my auto-buy authors, I’ve loved all three of her books! I love second chance romances and Someday Not Soon was so sweet and done so well. Ella and Jude had me swooning the whole book and melting in my feels.
I usually find little bits of myself in characters, but Ella? It was like looking in a mirror. When she said “I’m the one who says ‘no worries,’ when in fact I will worry in one thousand and one different ways,” I was like, okay, but who wrote this about me?! It was so relatable because I too am an “anxious as fuck, people-pleasing, overthinker.” What I loved most was how Ella learned to put herself first with the help of Jude and her awesome friends. Jude showed her that it’s okay to choose her own happiness. I love a nurturing and caring man, and Jude was it. The Delaney and Cole cameos also had me cracking up!
I could not put this book down! I need more Lawson and this adorable friend group in my life. A huge thank you to Amelia for the e-ARC of Someday Not Soon.

What to expect: 🩵Second Chance 🩵Best Friend’s Brother 🩵Dual Timeline 🩵Friends to Lovers 🩵It’s always been you
“Sometimes all I see in myself is the bad, the negative. Like I’m a dark storm cloud in a bright sky. But then you say things like that, and it makes me start to believe that maybe I’m wrong about myself. Maybe there is a light in me too. It makes me want to see myself the way you do.” This quote from Someday Not Soon is the perfect line for the whole story! Ella had a rough upbringing, she never felt loved or wanted from her parents. She has always had to rely on herself and isn’t used to having anyone in her corner. Jude is Ella’s best friend’s brother and was sent to rescue Ella from a bad date. He fell in love with Ella that day and has been coming to her rescue since. Amelia Chasen is really good at connecting you with the characters and making you feel all of the emotions. When reading the first few chapters I wasn’t sure about jumping back and forth in the time line but she did a good job executing it and making it easy to follow. This was a cute story and you were rooting for Ella and Jude from the very beginning! I love a second chance love story and this one definitely hits all the feels!
✨ Doctor ✨Second Chances ✨Emotional Scars ✨Small Town ✨The One That Got Away
Ella and Jude spent a magical summer together 10 years ago, a summer that changed their lives forever. They became friends who shared sweet and cute moments together, soon that friendship turned into love, and they became inseparable. Unfortunately, their lack of communication and a big misunderstanding tore them apart.
10 years later a wedding reunites them again, but both have changed a lot.
Ella is a lonely soul, she wasn't loved by her parents, or at least, I felt like they never loved or care enough for her, so aside from her two best friends, she has always had to rely on herself. She also deals with anxiety and doubts herself a lot. It was painful to see her struggle so much with her own mind.
Jude is Ella’s best friend’s brother. He's a doctor whose only focus is his job, but once Ella comes back into his life, he's ready to fight for her, and he does, he's willing to give up everything for her, and he loves her like she deserves.
This second chance romance will make you feel many emotions, both characters were a little broken, but together they helped each other heal and grow.
Thank you so much Amelia Chasen, for a copy of this ARC!
This is my second book from Amelia Chasen and I was so excited to have the opportunity to read Someday Not Soon- I have not read her first book in the Lawson Hills series but this story was easy to follow and the connections between the characters.
I rate this book 4.25 ⭐️ and 2 🌶️
If you love: best friend's brother, second chance, dual timeline, friends to lovers, and dual pov then I would recommend this story for you.
What I loved about this book: Jude was such a cinnamon roll MMC- he was absolutely adorable and I loved his possessiveness towards Ella.
Ella was such a relatable character- I felt so sad about her relationship with her family but I loved how supportive her friends are.
Found family/friendships- Madi and Delaney are the best friends that someone could have (even though.... Delaney was somewhat of a 🐓 block (unknowingly-lol).
I loved the connection between Ella and Jude- the way in which Amelia describes their connection- I absolutely fell for the writing.
What I look forward to next:
I believe Delaney and Cole have are the first book in the series. I wonder if there will be book on Madi and Noah- but I am looking forward to Marley (Noah's cousin) and Noah's boss- there was a connection there- and I'm here for it!
WHERE DO I BEGIN!! First off, I read this book in one sitting, 8 hours to be exact.. To say I read this beautifully written book about Ella and Jude in 1 sitting is telling you something. From page 1 to the end, I was hooked with their story. Young love that never dies, best friend’s older brother, meeting again at BFF’s bachelorette/bachelor party, forced proximity moments, old feelings resurfacing that you can’t hide, and most of all FATE showed her face that these two were DESTINED to be together!
Once I started reading, I couldn’t stop! I had to see what would happen next with this couple. The duel timeline helped put together pieces that made me cry and laugh. Ella and Jude, had to come to terms that “assuming” things are actually what hurt their relationship, and if expressing their feelings to others around them, their story would have been different.
But with all the “assuming”, their story would not have taught them the importance of what it truly means to love a person. Even when life itself may hand you a crappy hand, those around you that love and support you, will be your ROCK and be there to help mend those broken pieces.
This is book two of the Lawson Hills series, and hands down a 5 star read!

It's been a minute since I've read a best friend's brother romance, and this one hit the spot🤭 I feel like I fall in love with Amelia's writing more and more with every book she writes! They're truly the cutest romances that touch on real-world things while still being separated enough to be an escape from the real world.
Ella and Jude are the epitome of the phrase "meant to be". Even though Ella came from a broken family that planted seeds of self-doubt and anxiety, Jude was right there every step of the way reminding her of her worth and strength. He went out of his way every day to make her smile and encouraged her to chase her dreams, even if that meant taking the risk that he wasn't in them. Jude showed the true meaning of love and sacrifice.
Thank you so much, Amelia, for giving me the opportunity to read this ahead of release!! Someday Not Soon will be available in paperback and KU on January 7th!
You'll like this if you like: 📖 best friend's brother 📖 dual POV + timeline 📖 second chance romance 📖 "it's always been you"
✨TW: this book contains cuss words and topics of parental death, grief, anxiety, and sexual content.
This story follows Ella and Jude. Jude is Ella's best friend's older brother. Years ago, they had an instant connection and spent the entire summer together. Sadly, it wasn't the right time for them to be together, so they went their separate ways but never forgot about each other. Now, with his sister's wedding coming up, they have no choice but to come face to face again.
This was such a beautiful second chance romance. It's honestly the most relatable one yet. I feel like so many people have had that moment where they meet the right person, but it's the wrong time. Eventually, though, with some growth and character development, it might be possible to form that relationship again at a different time. That's the case for our main characters. They both displayed so much growth. 🙌😍
I thought the dual timelines were a really good addition. It definitely played a part in making this story have so much more of an emotional impact.
Ella Thatcher never thought she would be back in Lawson Hills having to plan her parents’ funeral and taking care of their affairs. Ella’s parents were not supportive and treated her with indifference. Being back in their home and feeling regret about not being able to say goodbye, she’s overwhelmed by grief. Just when she thinks she’s faced the worst, she runs into Jude, a painful reminder from her past.
Dr Jude Beckett has spent the past 10 years thinking of what could have been with Ella. Ever since he met her, he’s known that she was the one for her. But one mistake he made all those years ago drove her away. When Jude runs into Ella once again, all of his feelings for her are reignited and this time he’s determined to prove to her that he will do anything to make amends.
I’ve only recently started reading romance and I can say that I’ve enjoyed this book very much. Ella’s struggles with her emotions and self-doubt deeply connected with me. The way Jude and her friends support her through her journey was heart warming. This is a sweet heartfelt story about two cautious people who finally decide to give themselves a chance.
This book followed two separate time lines. One 10 years prior, when our two MCs meet and initially fall for one another. The second is present day when the two are reunited due to their participation in a wedding for the MMC’s sister/the FMC’s best friend. Their love story began when they were both young and bad at communicating which led to them going their separate ways. Now that they are older, can they come together and try again or, at the very least, deal with each other food the brides sake?
I loved this book for many reasons. The first being, it was just plain adorable. I loved seeing them grow from this young couple to successful adults. The second reason, being it brought me back to a time when I was young and in college. When my relationship was strong enough, but we lacked communication and emotional maturity. It was neat being able to see myself in a book in that sense. While my husband and I made it work, this gave a glimpse into what might have happened if dumb issues didn’t work themselves out.
Second chance romance is slowly becoming one of my favorite tropes and Amelia Chasen delivered with this one!
I devoured this whole book in one sitting because I just couldn't get enough of Jude and Ella. In the beginning of the book, they're nursing broken hearts. When they reconnect in their small town forced a wedding (Ella's bff/his little sister) they're reminded of all the things left unsaid from when they were in their 20s and the "what ifs" 10 years later. I love how even their friends and family couldn't help but see the attraction between them, and how the bff/sister was so supporting of their relationship. It was sweet, and short, and sensitive, and spicy all at the same time.
This book is has dula pov and dual timelines, and I honestly wanted more of their "past" romance! I think that could have helped build the tension just a teeny bit more since the book was so short.
Tropes - second chance - best friend's brother - "its always been you" - friends to lovers
second chance overall is one trope i really like and it was so well done here. i really like amelias writing style and overall how she writes her characters. overall how she writes emotions 🥺🥺 makes me want to tear up while reading. also love the mental health representation in this one, with anxiety and grief 🥺 and the it’s always been you trope just gets to my heart! 🥹
the main characters here were amazing. but also the side characters
ella is just so so sweet and i saw myself in her thoughts. i think being her friend would be a real blessing.
jude is just the perfect man for ella. he cares for her in a way that others can’t and it was just amazing to read. he is just so sweet and also hot. 🤭
they are truly perfect for each other. what i really loved were the little things they did, and overall their softness for each other. but also both have a blunt side when they want to 🙂↕️
thank you amelia so much for the arc! 🫶🏼 can’t wait to read more of your books :)
Another Amelia Chasen banger! This book felt like watching a beautiful movie. Even though there were two timelines, the book was never confusing. The scene cuts are clean and are perfectly aligned into this beautiful story. I adore Ella. She is a beautiful woman inside and out but brought up by neglected parents. She feels she's not enough but Jude plans on letting her know she is the best. Jude is the perfect gentleman every Ella needs in her life. Both made mistakes in their past but they are willing to work on themselves in the present and that alone is a huge commitment. The never-ending tension between them, the way Jude always cared for Ella and how she realises her self-worth is very heartwarming and admirable. Thank you, Amelia, for writing this pretty book! It healed the emotionally bruised child in me as well🫶🏼
TROPES- Second chance Best friend's brother It's always been you Insta attraction Dual timelines Friends to Lovers
Jude and Ella’s journey in “Someday Not Soon” beautifully captures the complexity of love, loss, and second chances. The dual timeline was a fantastic way to let us experience their initial connection and heartbreak while building anticipation for their reunion. I loved how their emotional scars and insecurities felt real, making their growth even more satisfying.
Ella’s character resonated deeply—her anxiety, self-doubt, and longing for love felt so relatable. And Jude? Absolute perfection as the protective, patient, and devoted hero who knew Ella better than she knew herself. Their chemistry was undeniable, and the banter added lightheartedness to balance the heavier emotional moments.
Amelia Chasen delivered a story that was heartfelt, genuine, and romantic. If you love second-chance romances, small-town vibes, and swoon-worthy male leads, this is a must-read! Highly recommend pre-ordering “Someday Not Soon”!!🎀
Amelia does it again! 💖 One of my new favorite authors and will happily read anything she writes! This book totally captured me right from the first page. Everything flows so easily, nothing is repeated over and over, and you never know what's going to happen next. It's just perfection! 💯
I looooved the relationship between Ella and Jude. 💕 They were made for each other. The type of romance that gives you butterflies! The characters are so relatable and likable. Jude and Ella's chemistry is palpable, with each interaction filled with depth and vulnerability. Their connection is explored, capturing the complexities of love, timing, and personal growth. I hate that they both waited 10 years to finally be together, but I'm so glad they are! I also love the friendships Ella has with her best friends. They are truly her family.
I definitely recommend this book and checking out all of Amelia's books.
