Nice girls are dead girls . . . Long live the bad girl . . .
The Blackwells may be killers, but they’re dead serious about keeping anyone else from spilling blood in their town.
When they catch me red-handed—literally—I’m given a choice: help them stop the serial killer terrorizing Hollow Oak or pay the price. My life.
As I’m forced to work alongside Alister and Nixon, the lines between predator and prey start to blur. Worse, the twins aren’t the only ones stalking me from the shadows.
Everest Collins is the monster that goes bump in the night. The Blackwell's personal killing machine is volatile, deranged, merciless . . . and convinced he’s in love with me.
Each missing girl who turns up dead with her heart cut out makes it clearer that, to stop the killer, I’ll have to unearth secrets I buried a long time ago.
Hollow Oak University was supposed to be my fresh start, but if the Virgin Sacrifice Killer gets their way, it’ll be my final resting place . . .
Lady Killer is the second book in the Dead Girls Club, a dark why choose romance series where the girl gets her psychos in the end.
It’s so rare for me to rate a second book more than the first, but something about this book just hit differently. I don’t want to say I was ‘thirsty’, but the first book left me somewhat dehydrated.
To me, book 1 focused more on the mystery aspect with the romance being present, but taking more of a backseat (not PG, but definitely a slow burn). Whereas this one had the romance at the forefront and the mystery wrapped around it.
I enjoyed both, but the beginning of this book started with an absolute bang, and by ‘bang’ I mean the FMC covered in blood holding a human heart. It just set a precedent for the carnage that was bound to ensue and I was so ready !!!!!!!! The FMC seemed stronger in this book and really commanded a room more.
This book does establish some of the harem, but there are still relationships forming or some that haven’t formed at all. It was surprising to see which way each relationship would go.
Now objectively you could have things you like about each of the MMCs, but if you are being honest with yourself there is no way that Everest isn’t your favourite.
The man was an unhinged golden retriever /serial killer, who you can’t help but love. He was obsessive, but in an adoring way and erratic, but because he can’t control all the emotions he feels for you. Watch me turn all these red flags green 😂
Everest Quotes :
‘You’ll come to understand that I am the total-package kind of stalker’
‘You cut off their lips?’ She said. His head bobbed up and down emphatically.
When asked ‘what the hell was wrong with him’ he responds ‘Clincally, morally, or socially’
If the whole book was just Everest alone in a room, I would read that sh*t cover to cover.
The only thing I would say is that a recap of book 1 would have been super helpful… my memory is beyond poor and I read the previous book last November. I had to skim the whole of book 1 to remember most things and I kept my last review vague so that didn’t help.
I assumed this was a duology (it’s not), which I discovered when I hit that cliffhanger. Ahhh that cliffhanger, I can’t wait that long, but I will because it was that good. Excited for Book 3 !!
Sidenote - I love these covers !!! If Jess Gloom started designing covers for dictionaries I’d start reading them.
Lady Killer by L.M. Ramirez Rating: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Spice: 🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️ (THAT TENSION THO)
Virgin Sacrifice ended with a HUGE cliffhanger, so I was more than ready to dive into this book. We had tons of sexual tention and unanswered questions about the Virgin Sacrifice killed in book 1. This book picks up right where book 1 left off. Everest is a cinnamon roll serial 🔪 who unexpectedly grew on me soooo quickly in this one!! Alister & Luz’s relationship really blossoms in this book resulting in incredible character development and arcs. I love Luz’s Scorpio energy and all the characters in this book are sooo well written.
🫀Dark Academia 🫀Multiple serial 🔪🔪🔪 🫀Slow burn 🫀Each book increasing in spice 🫀Why Choose/RH romance 🫀Hide and Seek play 🫀Latina FMC 🫀Twin MMCs
Be warned, this one also ends on a major cliffhanger! Luna, I’m sooo ready for book 3!! Thanks to L.M. Ramirez for the early digital copy of this book! I’ll be adding a hard copy to my trophy shelf once they’re live! 📚
Really loved the upped ante in the book, you are taken through several reveals that will knock your panties off but you will have to put them back on for further mysteries unveiled.
As any good Pokémon master, our fearless Luz is working on completing her sexy Pokédex. We are treated to some delicious spice that I give a 5/5 🌶️ 🥵
Character growth is more of a focus in this second installment and you will be treated to some sweet moments courtesy of our cinnamon roll 🔪 and (surprisingly unsurprisingly) our cantankerous 👬.
Someone gets a very sticky suprise gift.
Emotions are charged and hanging on the precipice.
You will scream in more ways than one Ghoulies 😈
Godspeed 🙌🏻
Edit: to come once I re read after full launch 👻

Virgin Sacrifice ended on such a jaw dropping cliffhanger that I counted down the days for Lady Killer ARCs to be released! In the first book we were introduced to the Blackwell’s but the stories main focus was on Luz (our strong and mysterious FMC). We knew they were important characters but we only received little crumbs when it came to their personalities and how they fit into Luz’s life. In Lady Killer we were told to expect to learn more about Everest, that all their characters would be explained more. Luna Marie Ramirez did not disappoint! The plot and story blew me away in the first book but the character development in this one made me not want to put the book down. I felt so invested and drawn to each of these men, even if a couple are hard to like at the moment. The story flows seamlessly, I love the direction the family dynamic is taking, I still have no clue who the murderer is… And the ending?! Mrs. Ramirez loves doing us dirty with the “what the hell just happened” endings!
Do I think you should read this series? If you like slow burns with tension, mystery, serial killers, why choose, a tad bit of gore, then yes, you’ll love it.
If you loved book 1, you’ll love book 2. Sexy, angsty, mysterious, and a double dose of OTT possessive psychos. We learn so much more about Luz’s past, but we’re far from unraveling the full mystery. I can’t wait for book 3!
Everest was a true delight, every single time he was on page. Someone protect that man at all costs. The way he experiences love is so pure, it’s honestly adorable..which isn’t a word I’d have ever thought I’d use to describe a man like Everest.
PS - I expect to see a certain egotistical professor finally take his head out of his ass, on his knees, kissing everyone’s feet, groveling for being such a little shit throughout this book 🤬🤬🤬. I also hope he finally learns what really happened to his desk 😂
The chokehold the Blackwell family has on me... I can't even. So I was totally simping for Locke last book but Everest. MMM Ev baby is the top of my list. I love that little blonde psycho. Luz's story continues with some totally badass new details. I love her. She is such a powerful FMC. I was foaming at the mouth for more with every single page. I cannot wait to see where this goes and did I mention those Blackwell's? Cause DAMN. Gimme. A phenomenal continuation to this series. I will never tire of Luna's writing.
Okay yeah, Everest is cute as fuck. Honestly, he's the main draw for me right now. I like where the story is going, I think I'll read the next one. Is it my favorite ever? No. Is it a good time though? Yes. Make of it what you will.
I have no words, the characters, the chemistry, the hate, the lust, the twists and turns, the mistery... I am SCREAMING. I need book 3 YESTERDAY I need answers, I neeed more Also Ever is my top book boyfriend from now until forever❤️
10/10 would recommend this series. I had the privilege of reading an advance copy of this book and I was completely and 100% obsessed. I love that the story picked up right where it left off but with a bit of additional information. As well as we increasingly get to know the guys a bit more. Getting to see Ali and Ever and their dynamic as well as Nixie slowly coming around. I was absolutely shook by the ending and the massive cliffhanger! Worth it, I just need LM to WRITE FASTER OMG!
Anyways yea. Read the first two books so you can join me when the third comes out.
I devoured book one in a day and was so so excited to be chosen to ARC read book two. Unsurprisingly, I loved Lady Killer! Virgin Sacrifice takes time to set the story up, and Lady Killer gives us great story and character development.
Luz our fierce FMC continues to take no shit. She’s willing to cooperate with the Blackwells since she’s basically given no other choice, but that doesn’t mean she isn’t feisty every step of the way. She’s not willing to bow down to anyone, and I was constantly saying yassss girl while reading her interactions with Lucian and Locke. I loved that we also got a peek into Luz’s vulnerable side as her walls started coming down around her boys.
Ever’s “persistence” (aka obsession) is so freaking charming! I loved the chapters with his POV. He’s absolutely unhinged and his “gifts” are WILD but somehow he’s also the absolute sweetest?? I don’t want to spoil his chapters with too many details but I can’t believe Luna got me to fall for a BLONDE psychopath.
Alistair, like Luz, is one with many layers. The quiet twin starts coming out of his shell (tho that’s not the only place he’s coming) and I completely see the appeal of his broody ass. Alistair and Luz’s chemistry is off the charts and I was sweating through their spicy scenes. I need more!! Also WHAT was *that scene* with Nixon!? I’m conflicted! And if I’m honest, I’m dying to read about a twin sandwich!
We get some more Lucian and Locke scenes in this book as well and I’m gonna be honest, Locke was daddy but he’s currently on my shit list. Lucian has taken over the daddy spot for now. Forehead kisses while promising to kill you? Color me (and Luz) confused and horny.
Character development is always most important to me, but Lady Killer also has lots of reveals, twists, and an absolutely insane cliffhanger. Simply put, I ate this book UP and cannot wait to see where the story goes!!
Thank you so much to Luna for providing an ARC in exchange for my honest review. I highly recommend this book to anyone who enjoys dark academia, mystery, why choose romance, diverse characters, forced proximity, and a lil bit of murder <3
Couldn’t put it down! I was so excited when I received my ARC I finished the book in one sitting 🫣. The first book concentrated majorly on the mystery and less on the romance. Book two our FMC starts to allow her relationships to grow both romantically and platonically while we still get a good progression of the storyline. I feel like the plot line is very unique and fun. If you’re a fan of suspense, mystery, why-choose, enemies to lovers, strong FMC’s and over protective murderous MMC’s this series is for you. I’m looking forward to getting to know the rest of our MMC’s I feel like there is still so much to learn about Lucien and Locke.. so i’m very excited to read book three!! (which better come soon because the cliff hanger left me 😠)
First of all- I loved book one “Virgin Sacrifice”. Introducing Luz and the boys, and learning a little bit about each of them. I love the college setting and the various ages and personalities of the boys. By the end of the first I was so ready for book 2 “Lady Killer”.
I am obsessed with Everest and Alistair. Everest is so unhinged in the funniest way and I love how obsessed he is with Luz
This book has the perfect mix of budding romance (even if it’s dark and sassy), multiple men who have much to offer, a badass FMC, a little thriller action with the Virgin Lady Killer.
I was hooked from page one- all the way through the ending with that cliffhanger! GIRL.
5/5 stars from me. I love a little dark academia romance/ thriller. I can’t wait to see her relationship with the other guys grow and see who is behind the masks!
I received an ARC in exchange for an honest review.
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 🌶️ Nice girls were dead girls. Long live the bad girl.
I like my MMCs (and FMCs) stabby. This book has them in spades! It’s a hold-on-for-a-wild-ride type read, hitting hard with immediate action and keeping the pace throughout. I binged read overnight.
Everest is my favorite. Not even Alistair can take that crown. Everest is the kind of man who would burn the world down to protect his woman, and I was here for it!
This baby is sloooooooooow burn but the tension is unreal! Who will eventually end up sharing Luz’s love is anyone’s guess (I’m holding out hope for a full house 😉).
Another cliffhanger ending; I cannot wait for more.
It's almost like I'm in competition with myself on how fast I can devour this series as it releases. I think I may have read faster than I did for book 1. I can't help it. I try and fail at finding a great place to pause. Does that even exist in reading? Because chapter by chapter - I convince myself of 'just one more' and then Im reading the about the author pages and it's suddenly 2am. SO yeah, those are the vibes that this book brings to my shelves. Read it babes.
I still loved the book but it was very much a filler book. It got going around 80% and by then its over super fast. I LOVE Ever and Locke lost his number 1 spot but...now I need more of Daddy. 🤣
"Maybe I was more wicked than I had ever dared to dream."
Okay, okay, okay, so we pick up right where we left off from Virgin Sacrifice and Luz is still out to find the infamous killer, but now she's got some assistance. 👀 I cannot put into words how obsessed I am with Luz rn, she is EVERYTHING for me!
When I say the SPICE 🌶️ be HITTIN, I mean it! I'm so happy with where these relationships are going, and yet I also need MORE? Call me greedy, cuz I want it all right now. 🤣
Everest, sweet, babygirl Everest. 💛 He is quite frankly one of the most genuine men in this series and some may call him crazy, but I think it makes him uniquely honest and vulnerable. 🥹
"I was right," "About what?" "You. You're perfect, little killer."
Alister really stepped his game up here too, and I'm so happy we're getting to dive deeper into his personality now! I feel like there's still so much left to learn too!
"My name on her lips sounded like a dark prayer, and I was her God."
And the rest of the Blackwell men? Well, I'll let you read to find out more! Gotta leave you wanting a little bit! 😉
I cannot WAIT for book 3 and don't know how I'm going to wait! I'm hanging off a cliff here, so I'll just dangle and hang on as best I can. 🤣
Truly, if you love a suspense filled why choose, with humor sprinkled throughout, you NEED to read this series because it will leave you on the edge of your seat!
Thank you L.M. Ramirez for writing such a gripping series that I can't put down!
Luz is stuck between 3 lovers in this one. The tension between her, Lucian and Locke is a small part of the story. I was craving more between her and the two older men. Ever is the sweetest psychopath you will ever meet and Alister cares for her in such a deep way, where Nixon is having a hard time accepting that he also loves her.
All the while the three share Luz emotionally they’re trying to hunt down the virgin killer before they keep killing people. Luz starts being forced to spend more time around all three men so that she remains safe. Will this be for the best or will it wear on her? Will they catch the killer?
This book is a continuation of Virgin Sacrifice by the same author. Let me start off with how much I enjoyed the premise and how there was such a good story told in this book. It was also written well. The only thing I didn’t like is how the book ended. To me it was an odd cliffhanger. It threw me off a little bit. I think there was a better way to leave it knowing there is going to be a third installment. Also for this being the authors second book she did a great job putting it together and writing it. I will be reading every book she releases.
Recommend that you read Virgin Sacrifice #1 before reading this as it follows on from where that left off (btw, it’s also a fabulous read!).
And so the story continues for Luz and The Blackwells as the serial k!ller remains. They have plans of entrapment but is this k!ller/k!llers one step ahead? And when things get very close to home how will our feisty FMC deal with what lays ahead?
I’m really enjoying this series! I love the way @lm spins her story and catch’s you in her web of intrigued! The MC’s are all equally mysterious and we get to find out a little more about them and their pasts in this book. As well as seeing how their relationships develop. So I eagerly await book 3 and the conclusion to this fabulous story and to find out just what lies in wait for Lux and her delightfully bad Blackwell boys.
OKAY. I love a slow reveal series with a tangled web of characters and reveals. Everyone seems suspicious and nobody is safe in this dark why choose mystery thriller romance—it's a lot of things and does it well.
The next installment of the series picks up right where book one left off and provides more backstory, some delicious spice (still slow burn, but HOT), and some reveals. Personally, I also love cliffhangers—or gamechangers as someone I know calls them—but be aware that books one and two have doozies.
Luz! My lady! She holds her cards close while slowly letting some of the Blackwells in. What we learn of her history explains her action and inaction, but you best believe she will right wrongs.
I make no apologies for how invested I am in Everest. That Italian loafer wearing cinnamon roll psycho has me in his perfectly manicured—I assume, this feels canon to me—fingers. He's the perfect balance of unhinged and sweet. Though... Lucian is climbing the ranks.
This series has me in a chokehold, no pun intended. This is the perfect series to start spooky season!! I was instantly enthralled with the first book and the second made me want to both finish it in one sitting and never finish it. The mystery builds in this book and the characters development was chefs kiss. The spice and tension is amazing and I cannot wait for the ~main event~ We are left with so many questions and I will be thinking about this book for months. This author deserves all the hype and I hope this series blows up for them!!🫶🏼
While I wasn’t so much hooked up on book one, this one was completely another story! Everything I couldn’t put together in the first book totally made sense in this. Of course minus the end which is one of the most epic cliffhangers lately! As I assumed some characters will be the stars of this show- that was on point. Pretty much everything else I thought I managed to predict was- wrong. This book is fast paced and filled with right amount of spice to keep you hooked from page one. Dear author, please, please hurry with next one, I need to know what happens next!
4.5⭐️ I literally finished book in ONE day and now I’m SICK TO MY STOMACH that I have to wait for the next book. OMFG. I love Luz and the guys and I have sooo many questions. But the plot?? EATS DOWN! Murder mystery, why choose, with morally grey/black MC’s? I’m eating this series up. I highlighted so many things in this book. & don’t even get me started on the last few chapters & that endin?!?!?… I NEED ANSWERS ASAP OMG
Virgin Sacrifice started it all and it continues on in Lady Killer. So many plot twists, broody murederous men, tension, angst, and so much more. I absolutely loved this! I can’t believe that ending. THROW ME A BONE HERE LM, WHYY I loved that we got more of Ever in this one, he’s my favorite. And we got to see more from all the other Blackwells too 🤭
This was my first ever ARC and I am so excited to review this before it releases! I loved Book 1 but this book was *chefs kiss* Everest isn’t a prominent character in Virgin Sacrifice but getting to know him in Lady Killer was the best experience. He is like no other MMC I’ve ever read. Think golden retriever serial unaliver? He had me laughing out loud through the whole book. I love the development of all of her relationships with each of the Blackwells. The spice was the perfect amount. The PLOT 👏🏼 TWISTS 👏🏼 as in multiple! THE ENDING!!! That cliffhanger 😩😩😩Seriously, loved this boook and already dying for Book 3
“Everything will be all right, Starbright.”
“How can you know that?”
“Because you are here, and I am here, and we exist together,” he said. “And any world where we exist together is the right one.”
OMG this sequel! This book was spectacular! It has definitely set a new bar for me when it comes to a why choose dark romance. I binge read it in one day and look forward to the continuation of this story.
Virgin Sacrifice left us with a cliffhanger, but this? This left me with a “What the hell just happened” feeling and a potential book hangover. I was not ready for this book to end I thought I had so much more to read. 😭
This dark academia, mysterious, spicy serial killer story has been written to perfection, this is a slow burn, tension building series that definitely leaves you wanting to know what happens next.
This was a huge cliffhanger and a huge plot twist!! I am for one is in LOVE with Alister & Everest 😭🙏🏻 I love Luz's character development, she shows a lot of her love for her mother & how she survived her past life; LITERALLY created our lil badass serial killer 💅🏻 she's so strong & independent & doesn't give a fuck about these men helping her until they all go head over heels for her!! I love this series, highly recommend ❤️🔥
I'll be waiting for the next book hoping it's Locke's turn 🫣

Thank you to L.M. Ramirez for the eARC copy to the sequel of Virgin Sacrifice.
why choose Dark romance Suspense Slow burn 🖤 Serial unàlivers Strong FMC
this book immediately picks up where the first book left off, because IYKYK 🙃
I loved the first book and loved the way these characters were presented to us, just enough info to love them but still wanting so many more details.
I fell hard for Ever boy 🖤🖤 he is the package deal, he is so unserious and touch her and ☠️ vibes and I’m here for it.
The plot was OUTSTANDING and I quite literally devoured this book and left no crumbs. I’m very picky when it comes to why choose romance but everything about this series so far has me in a chokehold and I love it so much. I think she does a great job distinguishing all the MMCs and giving them their own personalities and little details to make them unique!
So excited to learn more about her other boys in the next book and I just already need more of Luz and the boys. I’m obsessed with this series and can’t wait to see where she takes it!!!
Thank you so so much L.M. Ramirez for the eARC in exchange for an honest review!
