How Things Work
Detective Inspector Erick Hazeldene, works for the Special Branch for Motor Vehicle Theft in South Australia and has only just taken over the new department, as well as buying a new home in Eden Valley.
His wife Della, son Jake and three year old daughter Cecilia, love living in Eden Valley, but eleven year old Jake is amazed to discover he has ghost, a little girl dressed in old fashioned clothes, with black ringlets and shiny black boots who comes into his bedroom and stands by his beside, looking at him with appealing eyes.
When Jake makes friends with Neeve and Elliott he becomes drawn into a nasty car racket which eventually involves his Father, but the mystery ghost is also revealed.
