Enamored, he guides her to a school for nobles and she’s enrolled for her safety. Forced to work for him, Isabelle becomes a thief and robs from the royal treasury. Captured by royal guards, she is judged and sentenced to be executed. With an arrow zooming toward her heart she has only seconds to live. She comes to the realization that having power doesn’t always save you.
Fate Not Chosen is a epic fantasy perfect for YA readers.
This romantacy is written in a fairytale type style, captivating one from the first page. The story, featuring a Cinderella type lead female character, whose independent and assertive nature helps her traverse the challenges she faces. I went through an entire gambit of emotions while reading this hard to put down book. Looking forward to the next book in this series.
I wasn’t sure what to expect from this. Definitely liked it and enjoyed it completely. Good characters, nicely developed. Good story line. Nicely detailed world with a nice bit of magic added. The magic is nicely explained too. Recommended.
This was my first Elemental Magic book and it will go onto my all time favorite shelf! The story begins in a small quaint town, where a young girl lives with her adopted parents. Her parents were killed and she and her older brother were adopted but her older brother moved away and she never heard from him, until one day he sends her a message saying she’s in danger and she must leave immediately. She heads out on her own and is indeed faced with a perilous journey to reach her brother in the royal kingdom. Once there she is still in danger but has her brother and palace guards to protect her. She’s enrolled in a private school for students with magic! She never knew she had magic. At this school is where her new life and adventures begin! This book is well written, has interesting characters, and a a captivating storyline! I couldn’t wait to read book 2 in this 3 part series. Plan on some late night reading, as you won’t be able to put this book down!
I enjoyed this book to the fullest extent, I came to this book with no expectations and I fell in love with ever aspect of this book, I loved the banter, the romance and the plot shifting from Isabelle’s journey and I already see a lot of potential in the side characters and the last page got me to want to read the next one as fast as I can! 4.75/5 stars
