Rescue My Heart #3

Made for Loving You

Rate this book
A wounded warrior
After the catastrophic loss of his best friend in battle, Army Ranger Tyson Brooks trades in his fatigues for a badge, moving to Eden’s Ridge, Tennessee to rebuild his life and find a way to live in a world without Garrett. But no amount of protecting and serving the citizens of Stone County is enough to override the guilt that he simply didn’t do enough.

An incurable romantic
Romance author Paisley Parish has spent her whole career chasing the perfect hero and finding all the real life options lacking. Until she runs into her high school sweetheart—the one who left her for the Army. The old spark is definitely still alive, but the man carries far more scars than the boy.

A second chance to save each other
When Paisley becomes the target of malicious harassment, the police have no suspects, no leads, no way to make her feel safe. As her stalker escalates, she turns to the one guy she knows can protect her. Ty’s determined to put a stop to the harassment, even if it means moving in with the woman who’s so much more than the girl he used to love. He just has to remember to guard his own heart in the process.

Note: Includes the prequel novelette Bad Case of Loving You.

She loves weddings
As a romance author, Paisley Parish is a hopeless romantic. Seeing her friends exchange promises of forever does her heart good--even if the whole thing does highlight her own regrettably single status. But that's what cake and champagne are for. She just has to escape the douchecanoe who won't take no for an answer.

He hates weddings
Former Army Ranger Ty Brooks is happy to see his brother-in-arms starting his new life. He just wishes he was out of this monkey suit and miles away from the seemingly endless parade of guests. All this happily ever after isn't for him, but he's determined nothing's going to ruin Harrison and Ivy's special night. Especially the asshat who's cornered one of the female guests.

A blast from the past
The knight in a tux who shows up with a glass of champagne pretending to be Paisley's date is none other than the first love who broke her heart. Ty's older, hotter, and shocked to see her. It's clear the old chemistry is alive and kicking, and as they take a walk down memory lane, so are the feelings they both thought long dead and buried. Will the night be the closure they never got...or the start of a second chance?

Disappointing as romance and disappointing as suspense

Paisley is a 36-year-old, twice-divorced, romance author. She has never forgotten her first love, Ty, whom she dated, and regularly had sex with, for 2-1/2 years in high school. Immediately after graduating, just before he left to join the Army, Ty dumped her without a backward glance. There has been zero effort from either of them to contact each other during the past 18 years. Until, entirely by accident, at the start of this story, they bump into each other at the wedding of mutual friends.

For the past two years, Ty, who is former Special Forces, has suffered from a serious case of PTSD. It is due to survivor's guilt caused by his irrational self-blame for the IED death of his lifelong BFF and Army comrade. There is no indication anywhere in this novel that Ty has ever received any mental health care, in the past, the present, or that he has plans for it in the future. Instead, the author chooses to resolve this major romantic conflict, which has caused him to believe that he is worthless scum who deserves no happiness in life, by facilely tying it up in a pretty pink bow at the end of the story. He is proclaimed to basically be healed completely of years of mental anguish by nothing more than the "love of a good woman."

No. Just no. As presented by the author throughout this book, it is obvious that someone in Ty's situation requires significant, professional, mental-health intervention. Perhaps, in a historical romance, authors have no other choice for dealing with a hero's PTSD except to use this hackneyed approach of "love heals all." But this is a contemporary novel, and there are many effective, mental-health interventions available for PTSD that the author could have included in this novel, even if only offstage or in the epilogue.

In addition, in the suspense plot in this story, the criminally insane, stalker villain is presented as perfectly normal throughout the story until he, conveniently, finally reveals his mental illness by displaying crazy eyes at the climax. This is a nonsensical suspense cliche that I find extremely frustrating whenever I encounter it in a novel, TV show, or movie.

As an ARC reader, this is my honest opinion. There are author's and then there are AUTHOR'S! We all know at times we see in the reviews, "Best Seller Author", or 5 stars given and we scratch our heads wondering why. Well all my reading brothers and sisters if you want to read an honest 5 star quality story with No cheating, No cliffhanger, that includes some steamy intimacy scenes, and is riveting from start to finish, you've found your book and author!
"Made For Loving You" is a hats tipped to those who've served in the military in a small town setting. Ty has left the SEALS earlier than expected and suffers from survivors guilt and some PTSD. He's trying to melt back into civilian life as a sheriff, and finds himself using his skills in order to protect his childhood sweetheart, Paisley. The story is riveting from beginning to end and the characters as well as the storyline are well rounded. It's realistic, so you feel like your part of the story and get caught up in all the feels. If you've read the Misfit Inn series, this story revisits the Inn and many of the characters. Enjoy!

Made For Loving You is a sweet and suspenseful second-chance romance that was an absolute delight to read. I say this every time, but I really do need to read more romantic suspense because they definitely break me out of a rut when I feel like everything is reading the same. Made For Loving You by Kait Nolan is a standalone in a series, but it definitely doesn’t need to be read in order.

In fact I feel like I’m personally making it my mission to see if standalone series need to be read in order? I’ve done it enough.

Anyway back to this book, know you can read this in whichever order you wish, but a friend of mine said Ty is even more loveable than he already is if you’ve read the other books. I don’t know if my heart could handle that, honestly. I loved him immensely knowing only what I did, I can’t imagine loving him even more my heart would burst.

Paisley was fantastic. Smart, witty, loving, honest, I loved her to bits and she was the perfect person for Ty. They were great together, and I loved that they were (mostly) upfront with one another and had a unique history.

This book was fun. It won’t be something I remember the specifics of in like a year or so, but it was really enjoyable. It was fast paced, steamy, suspenseful, and I did enjoy my time with these characters. The story was different, if predictable, but still a good distraction from life in general and a solid reminder that romantic suspense novels are both sometimes silly and everything you need all at once. I look forward to reading more from Kait Nolan in the future and seeing what she comes up with next.

Paisley and Ty have loved each other for years. But then Ty went into the military and they broke up.

Paisley is now a successful writer and Ty is a deputy sheriff. Now years later they see each at a friend’s wedding and had a one night stand. So they decided to do the friends with benefits relationship.

But things become a bit hectic for Paisley when she gets a stalker, who seems to be escalating his antics to get Paisley to notice him. So Ty gets her to move in with her, but it seems like that is not working either as her stalker just follows her to his place as well. While all this is going on, Ty is having a hard time dealing with his friends death in the military and also worried that he can’t be the hero that Paisley deserves.

I liked the suspense part of this romance. I have to say that I sort of figured out early on who the stalker was, lol… But I still enjoyed how the rest of them tried to figure out who he was. Ty was a broody tortured hero who I wanted to smack in some parts, but you could understand why he was the way he was. Paisley was cute and sassy and just a romantic which I loved. All in all everything meshed well together especially adding the side characters to the story 😊♥

I'm always so excited to find new authors that I absolutely adore, plus with the trope being a military/romantic suspense, I could not wait until I had this baby in my hands!!

Ty is easily one of the best book boyfriends, ever. He is just absolutely amazing, and I wish he was real so I could give him the biggest hug ever (sorry husband of mine!) He is dealing with the fallout of his SEAL career, as well as PTSD and survivor's guilt. He's trying his hardest to integrate back into the civilian lifestyle, and ends up becoming the sheriff of his hometown, and it's there that all of his military training comes in handy when he now is in charge of protecting his high school sweetheart -- and the one woman he has ever loved.

Paisley has always been in love with Ty, and even though she's tried to deny it and move on ever since he broke her heart and left her for the military, she can't stop the overwhelming feelings that darn near consume her whenever he is near. After a one night stand, they agree to be friends with benefits (because we ALL know how those turn out, right? *winks!*) but when real danger threatens Paisley's very life, she has no choice not to only rely on Ty to keep her safe in general, but to keep her heart safe as well.

This book just had everything: all the angst, steam, funny moments, as well as ALL the feels. I really thought I wouldn't love Ty near as much because of how he broke Paisley's heart when they were younger, but I just couldn't stop myself from loving him with my entire heart. He truly is a unicorn! And Paisley has so much fire in her, is so freaking strong, yet vulnerable where it counts and truly adores Ty-- and I loved how they both healed each other. I will definitely be reading this author from now on!

Audio-Narrator: Amy McFadden. I’m so sad this is the end of this series. I have really enjoyed this second chance at love between an ex Army Ranger and his high school love, a romance writer. It’s been 18 years since he left her for the military, breaking her heart and ruining her for all other men. He was her only true love. He was broken and really trying to get his life back on track when a chance meeting at a wedding brought them back together. Such a great story.

Sweet read, the heroine is funny and full of quirks and I really liked her at the beginning but she kinda got tiring for me at the end lol you know, with all her "patriarchy and toxic masculinity" BS.
I’m grateful it only took a little portion of the dialogues with this shit though and the book was short lol

But it’s a sad day of readings for me when all I remember about a book was the parts I didn't like. So, 2 stars, tops.
The prequel was better for me, sadly.

Maybe a 2.5, not sure. I couldn't keep my attention to this book. It was missing some context at the beginning, probably because there is a (short) prequel about FMC and MMC meeting again, that I did not read.

My 2nd outing reading a book by Kait Nolan and I am as captivated by her writing as I was the first time. 'Made For Loving You', is a second chance romance with a hint of suspense which was woven expertly through the story, so as not to take anything away from the rekindling of the relationship between Paisley and Ty.

Nearly 20 years on and a chance meeting at a wedding see these two teenage sweethearts reunited after nearly 20 years apart. The hurt caused by Ty ending things when he joined the military is still buried deep within Paisley, but when they decide on a sort of friends with benefits arrangement it seems the best way to ensure that Paisley doesn't get hurt again, always the romantic she is a firm believer in the HEA, well she is a romance writer after all. Now out of the Army, there is a darkness that surrounds Ty, one he doesn't want to inflict on Paisley, but he can't deny that being around her again brings some calm and light to his life. When a crazed stalker starts to get too close to Paisley, Ty will stop at nothing to save the only woman he has ever loved.

Highly Recommend

Made For Loving You is a second chance story at it's very best. I have to say that I seriously hate when a hero breaks the heroine's heart like Ty did to Paisley when he enlisted in the military, so it can be a situation where I never warm to the hero. I'm delighted to say that this isn't the case here. Yeah, I did call him some choice names but he ended up with a lifetime of guilt when he came home as he lost his best friend. He's now a deputy sheriff while she's a successful author, and when they come face to face at an event, they end up hooking up which leads to the plan of friends with benefits (the best laid plans amirite?!). However, things take a dangerous turn when Paisley has a stalker, and the police where she lives (they don't live close to each other) aren't helping so she turns to Ty. This story has angst for days, danger & suspense, and heat so it ticked off all my boxes. I believe it will be the same for you so hit those one click buttons! HIGHLY HIGHLY HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

This book was a whirlwind of a roller-coaster ride. Laughter, tears, suspense, and steam. It truly did have a little bit of everything. I had already started to fall in love with Paisley and Ty in their prequel story “Bad Case of Loving You” in the Love Is In the Air anthology, so I was pretty excited to find out everything that happened after that. I’m a sucker for a second chance, so I immediately connected with that facet of the book. I hated to watch these two trip over all the old baggage that was still standing between them, but I loved it when they were able to clear it away. Their connection has withstood the test of time, and it was awe-inspiring to see in action. I think I spy the groundwork for some future book heroes and heroines in the making. I can’t wait to see where the author takes us next.

High school sweethearts Tyson Brooks, and Paisley Parish haven't seen each other in years, not since the day he broke her heart by breaking up with her and going into the army. Now both grown they have a one-night stand after a friend's wedding and decide on no strings attached fun. But when Paisley's stalker follows her to Tyson's, and he finds out not only does she have a stalker but now her stalker has ramped up his obsession he plans to keep her by his side.
I loved Tyson and Paisley's easy banter and reacquaintance with one another. It's not all easy and fun as Tyson has ghosts from the past and Paisley has an active stalker, but the love side of the story is sweet and sexy, and the mystery of the stalker keeps you hanging on till the end.

This book gave me all the feels!

It's a second chance romance between Ty and Paisley, high school sweethearts but had to separate. Now, Ty is not deployed anymore and the first time they saw each other again after so many years, they still feel the same for each other. But because they have their own baggage and issues, they decide to be friends with benefits. When a stalker creeps into Paisley's life though, he found himself wanting to protect her and he's back to himself again when he is with her.

I loved Ty and Paisley’s story. I laughed and I cried for these two, and the suspense had me on the edge of my seat. Their chemistry was explosive. This is a wonderful read and the prologue really made me understand their relationship even more.

A second chance romance between a former Army Ranger and a romance author.

There are still sparks between Tyson and Paisley, but he is dealing with the loss of his best friend and she has a stalker.

The suspense and romance elements of the story blended nicely and I didn't feel like either overshadowed the other. It was interesting watching Paisley and Tyson reconnect as adults and seeing how they had each grown and changed. I would also like to go back and try the other books in the series.

Thank you to the author for providing an ARC for an honest review.

Ty and Paisley meet again after 18 years. Ty is retired from the military and suffering from the loss of his friend. He becomes the sheriff in town. Paisley is a romance novelist who is harassed by an unknown individual. She realizes that there are still sparks between her and Ty. When the harassment escalates Ty is determined to protect Paisley. Will the two rekindle their romance from years ago? Will Ty be able to protect Paisley? I enjoyed the story.

So many return broken from serving in other countries and find it really difficult to cope with life as in pre-war, in spite of being with family and friends again. The lucky ones, find jobs with they can relate with and succeed and can count on family and friends for support, but that is not the most normal situation that is found in life. This story describes what happens in the lives of those who come back and the scars they carry and how they affect their daily lives and relationships. The situations are described with accuracy and are interspersed with situations full of good humor, romance, lust and sex. Also in this mix there´s stalking and all difficult feelings that are brought upon anyone living in such a stressfull situation. The story, as always, is well written and keeps the reader entertained. Waiting to read the next book in the series!

I’ve been in a bit of a reading funk. I started last month off two books ahead of my Goodreads reading schedule, and now I’m three books behind. So when I saw Kait Nolan - an author who consistently writes heartwarming stories filled with lots of southern sass - just released a prequel novella and then the full book of a story with a second-chance romance...I dropped what I was reading and dove in.

Bad Case of Loving You and Made for Loving You are about romance author Paisley Parish and the boy she loved in high school, former Army Ranger Tyson Brooks.

In Bad Case of Loving You, Paisley and Tyson have a chance run-in at a wedding eighteen years after Tyson broke Paisley’s heart by ending their relationship before he left for the Army. It was re-meet-cute perfection! Sparks fly between them immediately and after they spend a steamy night together, they decide to go their separate ways. They do, after all, live four hours away from each other. Yet they part on good terms and in possession of each other’s phone numbers.

Made for Loving You picks up two weeks after Paisley and Tyson go their separate ways. They’ve done some texting and talking, but neither wants anything serious. When a stalker begins escalating his contact with Paisley, she turns to Ty (who is now a deputy police officer in Eden’s Ridge) for protection. And of course, over the course of their forced proximity situation, Ty and Paisley are forced to confront the fact they both still love each other deeply.

But as most romance stories go, both have baggage from the past. Paisley’s been twice divorced and Ty’s still dealing with guilt over the loss of his childhood best friend who died while they were serving in the Army. When Paisley’s danger follows her from Nashville to Ty’s home in the middle of nowhere, it not only puts Paisley’s life in danger it causes trouble for their new relationship.

These two books were a great way to spend a couple evenings. The novella was particularly sweet and steamy. And I loved watching Paisley and Ty come to the conclusion that they didn’t want to walk away from each other a second time. There’s nothing really earth shattering, no new ground being written in these stories, but the characters are fun and the dialog is effortlessly entertaining. Sometimes there’s comfort in the predictable, especially when it’s heartwarming and humorous with sufficient amounts of sweetness and steam, so I know I can reach for a Kait Nolan story to get me out of a slump. Add in the bonus of getting a glimpse of characters from one of the many companion series written by this author, and these two books were exactly what I was needing!

Ty an Paisley have a history, a sweet, romantic, life changing history. As high school sweethearts they seemed like the perfect couple, right for each other in so many ways. When Ty decides the military is in his future, he leaves town, leaving Paisley broken hearted and on her own.

Flash forward to 18 years later. Ty and Paisley cross paths due to mutual friends and a repeat of a situation that caused them to meet at teenagers. Their attraction is still intense, their desire for one another too strong to resist and they decide a casual relationship is something they both have the energy for, but nothing more.

Paisley is a strong woman who believes in the power of love and happily ever afters, but after too many failures she has decided they aren’t for her. When she has signs of a stalker, she uses her new casual relationship with Ty to escape. She brings light to Ty’s life, as well as any others around her.

Ty is happy to spend a weekend with Paisley. He has spent too many years hiding. He goes through the motions of his day, his job in law enforcement, and at times hanging around his old teammates from the Army. He has not gotten over the tragedies that changed his life forever. When Paisley is around, things are different. He can remember what it was to be the man he used to be. He is scared of these new feelings but also knows he wants to hold onto them.

When the stalker steps things up and shows proof of being somewhere around Ty’s cabin in the woods, Paisley can no longer keep things a secret from him. What follows is a story of a man determined to protect the woman he never stopped loving, and the story of a woman who has to open back up to the idea that maybe a second chance is truly possible and she can experience her own Happily Ever After.

I loved every one of these characters and all the bits and pieces of Ty end Paisley’s personalities. There was a realism to this second chance romance. It was not smooth sailing and the obstacles they came up against were not immediately fixed and overcome. I loved this couple and you will, too!

4.5 stars!

I do love romance about first love, wounded hearts and tortured main characters. Made For Loving You is Paisley and Ty’s story.
When you think about first love, you think forever, well that was what Paisley wanted until it wasn’t.

Paisley and Ty loved each other for so many years, they melted my heart so much. Their story was moving, showing how decades later the roots were still there, their love stronger than ever. But would it be enough this time, with Ty still fighting the darkness of his past? I was so rooting for these two so hard!!!

Paisley is sassy, genuine and a romantic at heart, writing stories about second chances, happy endings when she hasn’t found hers yet.
She has the ability to make people feel comfortable, seeing the good in them and caring.
Not afraid to fight for her loved ones when needed.

Ty is the kind of broody, lonely wolf, tortured hero and still struggling with some parts of his past.
Damn if my heart cracked a little with this character.
Paisley is the light to his darkness but how to bring it back to life when the scars run too deep, when the pain is too much.

I adored Paisley and Ty’s chemistry, a connection that felt so natural, first love that never faded just increasing throughout the years. And still these two didn’t know how to make it happen this time with all the heaviness of their history. Count on their friends to help them see what was always there.

When Paisley became a target, Ty was already on protector mode, on a mission to find who was behind this. This closed proximity forced these two to finally face the music, mostly for Ty to be ready for once to let her in and share his burdens as a partner, flaws and all.

From the main characters to their friends and family, there was definitely that little something that makes me fall in love with them and this world.

Their story was beautiful and heartfelt, with plenty of emotions.
Second chance story with a hint of suspense and all the feels!

I loved this perfect blend of suspense and second chance romance! In the prequel (included in this book), former high school lovers Ty and Paisley meet for the first time in eighteen years at the wedding of mutual friends. Old passions flare to life, and they get intimately reacquainted later that night, while agreeing to keep things "casual" between them.

Ty dumped Paisley eighteen years ago, when he joined the Army with his best friend Garrett--his "brother from another mother." Ty blames himself for Garrett's death two years ago, when their Hummer was hit by a roadside bomb. Suffering from PTSD and survivor's guilt, Ty can't forget that "it was supposed to be me in that seat. It should've been me who died."

After Garrett's death, Ty leaves the Army and moves to Eden's Ridge, where he works as a deputy sheriff, swearing to protect and serve. He lives for the job, believing he's in no shape for a serious romantic relationship. But Paisley has other ideas, especially when a mysterious stalker causes her to leave Nashville and drive to Ty's cabin near Eden's Ridge, hoping their "casual" relationship might turn into something serious.

When the stalker follows Paisley to Eden's Ridge and threats escalate, Ty and his team of former Rangers struggle to identify the perpetrator. (The perpetrator even had me fooled, which doesn't happen often.) While the search goes on, Paisley takes refuge in Ty's cabin and in his arms, where he finally admits that their relationship was never going to be casual. "We have a second chance--if you're willing--and I don't want to waste it." Neither does she. But that second chance might slip through their fingers, because the stalker has other plans for Paisley.

Kudos for nail-biting suspense, a shocking big reveal, and one of the most emotional endings I've ever read. (Keep tissues handy!) This engrossing story earns five perfect stars from me.

Second Chance / Wounded Warrior
This was my second book by this author, and I loved it. It is written in third person from dual POV. This is book three in a series, but functions completely as a standalone. I have not yet read the other books, but I can assure you they are now added to my ever-growing TBR.
I love the way Paisley and Ty reconnect unexpectedly after 18 years. I love that they still have chemistry with each other that is smoking hot. I love that Paisley is still an optimist after a lot of time and failed relationships. I love that their history and the friendship they had grounds them in the present. Ty is still figuring out civilian life after he left the Army and his career as a Ranger. He has grief, survivor’s guilt, and some horrific memories that he is still dealing with. I love that he recognizes that he is not where he needs to be, yet he is struggling to move forward. I love how patient Paisley is with him. I also want to mention Paisley’s dog, Duke. I completely adore him, and he is such a good boy. I want one just-like him.
There are some seriously swoon-y moments in this book. The characters are well-developed and likable. The pacing of the story is just-right. I had trouble putting it down to do those necessary life things that get in the way of reading a good book. There is heat in the bedroom and suspenseful moments. I love Paisley’s ability to stay calm in the face of danger and Ty’s commitment to protect her. The HEA is absolutely perfect. I wouldn’t change anything about this book, and I can’t wait to read more.

Made for Loving You is the third book in the Rescue My Heart series, but could be read as a stand-alone. Paisley and Ty used to be high school sweethearts before he left her to join the military. Now, many years later, their paths have crossed again and they can’t help but feel drawn to one another. But with Ty battling his own inner demons and survivor’s guilt mixed with Paisley’s stalker situation, will love be enough to give them a firm foundation to stay and fight together?

Oh my, this book was so good! Ty and Paisley’s romance is sweet and full of love and passion, danger and pain. I don’t always love second chance together romances, but this book had it all for me, and I loved every second I spent reading this book! Paisley is maybe a little jaded when it comes to men, but I loved her romantic heart and how much she needed Ty back in her life. She was independent, driven, and resourceful, but I loved how well she knew her own heart and what leaning on Ty might do to her emotions. Ty had so much internally that he needed to fight through, so many hurdles that he placed in his own way to keep sane and as protected as possible, so my heart definitely swooned as he opened up slowly to Paisley. I loved how well their puzzle pieces fit together, how their passion drew them to one another, and how their loved helped to heal each other. While the ups and downs of their romance was the main focus of this book, I was just as drawn to the suspense of what was going on, too! I loved seeing characters from previous books, loved the feeling of coming home that I felt from this book, and I can’t wait for more from Ms. Nolan!

Danger, love and healing

Phew. The feels in this one were big. There is grief, regret, pain, and fear but it is beautifully balanced with healing, hope, forgiveness, and love. All the books in this series have been wonderful but this one raised it to a different level for me. I loved the way Paisley gently, lovingly, and beautifully helped Ty come out of his prison of guilt and pain and begin to live life again. Ty and Paisley are portrayed as real, relatable people who have flaws, but are really just trying to do their best as messy bruised but not broken humans. Ty is a former Army Ranger who now works as a deputy in small town Eden’s Ridge. He has lots of baggage, scars, and guilt from his time in service. Paisley is a twice divorced romance novelist who lives 4 hours away in Nashville. She loves love but has given up the hope of a forever relationship. Ty and Paisley were HS sweethearts who broke up when he left to go into the Army. When they reconnect at a friends’ wedding and their chemistry is still explosive, they agree to keep in touch and have a casual fling. Once it is revealed that Paisley has a stalker, forced proximity is added to the second chance trope and there is no stopping the HEA train at that point. This well written story included all the sweet moments, spicy scenes, chuckles, supportive friends, painful pasts, slight danger, mystery, plot twists, and most of all, huge amounts of love. While the bad guy was fairly easy to guess, that did nothing to diminish the suspense and romance of the story. 4.5 stars.

I recognised Ty from Baby It's Cold Outside. He is so intense and he has been carried his guilt for too long while Harrison and Sebastian have their own issue too but their personalities seem to be more lighter than Ty. Ty and Paisley were each other's first love but Ty broke up with her before he went away. I like Paisley's positive thinking in everything. Her personality is like sunshine and I think she is so good for Ty in every ways. The book is a second chance for them but the moment they met again is in another book which Nolan wrote it as a prequel "Bad Case of Loving You" which you can read it both before or after reading this book... well, if you are curious how they met again that is. The story is intriguing with Paisley's problem, intense with Ty's guilt, and sweet and sexy with their chemistry... their friends also help create some amusing moments especially Sebastian which I think those moment are all so cute and make the book more enjoyable to read. Don't get me wrong, the book is enjoyable with just Ty and Paisley's encounters but with their friends, the atmosphere is lighter that all. I am so glad that all of our heroes finally find their happy endings with the women they love but I am also so sad that this is the end of Rescue My Heart trilogy. I just hope I would meet these guys again in Nolan's other books like she has done it in this book with those Misfit Inn's crews.

Romantic and filled with heat, Ty and Paisley hit all my second chance buttons, and then some! Paisley is such a fun character; a straight-shooter who writes romance but is fine with keeping things casual at this point in her life. Her reconnection with Ty is such an adorable and blast-from-the-past meet-cute (go grab the prequel novella, Bad Case of Loving You, to read it!), but their friendship really grabs the reader. There’s no bad feelings, no guilt, just happiness to be back together. It’s not often that this trope brings those easy feelings back to the reunited couple.
One of the great things about Kait Nolan’s work is that I know I’m going to run the gamut of emotions...from swooning to laughter, tears to heat. Her dialogue is some of the best I’ve read, because it’s all those emotions, but never over-the-top or sappy. It’s witty without trying too hard, heartfelt without feeling forced. Her secondary characters provide the perfect support, and if you’ve read her books, you know they pop up across different series, but it all makes sense. And it feels like home.
Paisley and Ty are definitely two of my favorites and will stick with me a long time. I hope to see them show up again, in another couple’s book, or maybe their own special epilogue, sometime down the road. Made For Loving You is what romance is all about!
