My brother is unhinged. He likes to take things to the next level. We're obsessed with each other, but Max isn't just obsessed with me. He'll kill for me too and he'll give zero fucks while doing it. But that is why I love him and why he loves me too. We'd do anything for each other.
This book was plain boring and stupid, also not even dark. It was unnecessary to come up with such a shitty plot. Emery Croft how about you quit this writing shit and do something else.
I can overlook some things (I mean, the obvious type of relationship here), but I'm not a bug fan of MCs using hard drugs in books for funsies (it's a whole different story when they're fighting it, then it's okay). At the same time, only on drugs you could do something like that, lmao. Actually, NOTHING in this book would've happened without drug usage. Tsk tsk tsk. So yeah, I can overlook the nature of their relationship, if the book was good and I liked the themes. But when I don't like anything here, it only adds insult to injury. Funny thing is - I was okay with TWs. I'm a horror fan and I'm cool with horror erotica. But this... This is just not it. I hope Ms. Croft can work more on her works, even if they're questionable. I believe that every theme has a place in the world of literature (especially if we're talking about the horror genre). It only comes down to how good the writer is. So... Good luck on your professional journey, Ms. Croft.
Ya’ll - Emery took me on a deliciously dark ride that’s just as twisted as it is taboo and I need more!!!
Max and Mia are siblings that are living a life filled with luxury and parties but what their parents don’t know is that they live their life filled with each other as well. Max is obsessively possessive over his sister and proves he is the only one that can lay claim on her when another makes a proposal.
This is a quick read but it doesn’t come up short - it’s dark, twisted and filled with all the taboo spiciness that my little black soul craves. I am so happy that I took the chance when buying it and will definitely be reading more from this talented author.
