This clean and wholesome summer, beach, women's fiction romance that is page-turning with exceptional world-building that has magnificent sunrises and sunsets tat are vibrantly painted across the sky and soft sand covering their feet while the sun beats warmly down on them and the warm breeze blows gently all around them, heartwarming stories of love, mystery, and second chances, drama, heartfelt emotions that will have readers needing Puffs/Kleenex to wipe the tears that are streaming down their faces, inspirational, suspense, adventure, action, and more. I recommend reading this book by an extraordinary author who knows how to captivate her readers' hearts and attention with the forgotten summer and clean and whole romance that will transport readers into a world that is mysterious and unforgettable.

Abigail and Byron head to New York to check out where Jacob supposedly died. As they are heading to the subway they get mugged and both lose their phones and wallets. A friend of Byron's lends them each a phone so they can have some sort of connection to the people back home. They start to search into Jacob's past and find that the pictures of Jacob just don't add up. Byron's friend is helping them with it. They are taken to a place where they are both interrogated but for their own good so that they can be safe as well as others. As Abigail is getting into the getaway car she thinks she spots Bee in a room in the house that they just left. After back at the hotel, they find out that Abigail's house in Newport Beach has been broken into again, and they find out Bee is at the door confessing that she did it, I can't wait for the final book to see how this ends.

Well Byron and Abby decide that they are going to go look for what really happened all those years ago and they need to start in NY. But, neither of them is equipped to handle NY after living away so long so after they are victims of a crime they must figure out a way to get money, ID and other items that were stolen. Byron reaches out to some friends and asks the right questions and it looks like they may be on to something.
Bee has disappeared and Cleo is worried sick about her. Abby's sister sends her boxes of her dads stuff only to have the box set on fire in the delivery truck and destroyed and again someone else broke into her home.
They must be getting close to something as it is getting more and more dangerous.

Some of the mystery gets cleared

As the group continues looking at the paperwork from Abby's father, Bee goes missing. No one knows where she is and the local police aren't seriously investigating. So Abby and Byron go to New York City to find more information on Jacobs supposed death. Byron gets the autopsy report and Abby makes some observations about the photos not being right and that it's not Jacob. This leads them to looking at the coroner who did the autopsy and lands Abby and Byron in a secret US Marshals office. Will Abby finally get answers about Jacob and how her parents were involed

What did Bee do? What part is she involved in with all that is happening to Abigail? What are Byron and Abigail going to do next and how is Cleo going to react to Bbe's involvement in all that is going on. This is such a great mystery and book five has brought on more questions. Will Sage Parker be able to tie all this neatly into one bow and give her readers a wow of an ending? I guess. We will have to wait and see!.

Well, well, well, what on earth has Bree gotten herself involved in. Byron and Abigail have headed to New York in search of Jacob but they end up getting mugged and everything from there sends them on a wild ride and they stumble on Bree. I am very curious for the truth about Byron’s past to be revealed and am looking forward to knowing the reality of Abigail’s father. The final book promises to be very enlightening indeed.

You know that saying, two steps forward, one step back, well, that describes this story. We get a few answers or partial answers, then we have more questions. We get lots of misdirection and clues, but real questions. Abigail and Bryon find some answers in NYC, honestly they find more questions and a hornet’s nest. Who/what is Bryon besides a handyman? Was Abigail’s dad was one of the good guys or no? Is Jacob really dead? I look forward to Book 6 and hopefully the answers to those questions and Abigail’s future.

This book has so much punch and unexpected elements I didn’t want this book to end! Ok, Abigail and Bryon have a VERY eventful road trip. There are unexpected twists and turns that have me questioning WHAT else will come to light?? This book has proved that what I thought I knew was just a whole lot of wrong😞, that’s ok. Bring on the last book!

This Booksprout ARC is an excellent part of this collection.

This book has amped things up as Abigail is looking for answers to what happened to her friend Jacob.
Bryon and Abigail go off to New York for more answers, but they find many more questions than answers as to what happened. The story is getting so good, and it has me anxious for the next one so I can take a deep breath again.

Some of Abigail , Byron and Cleo's findings had pointed to a name and an address in Up-State New York.

Abigail is still looking into what happened with Jacob. The more she finds, the more things don't add up. Bree is involved and it does not make sense. I can't wait to see how the last book ties everything together.

Getting closer to getting the answers. Like the small town setting because it always adds an interesting cast of secondary characters. There are a few bumps in the road still but hopefully they can get resolved. Cannot wait to finish this book and find out what happens. Good read.

Things are getting dangerous. Between more people going missing, being attacked, packages exploding, and more their trip to NY might not have been wise. She does get some answers but they lead to more questions.

Didn't know what to expect, it's the first time I am reading Sage Parker. Loved that the author chose to present divorced parents who were truly cordial and not fighting as opposed to the norm. And yes, I loved how protective Byron was of Abigail, that was no gardener-employer protection 🤗

Good story but overuse of one word

I'm enjoying the series but the author really needs to stop the repetitive overuse of the word "glare" and "glaring". Its practically on each page. Too much.
