Entertaining relationship listening 🎉🤗🎶🤔🎵

This kindle e-book novella is from my Kindle Unlimited account book 1 of 6.

Sage Parker is one of my favorite authors.

Abigail is finalizing her divorce when the ex husband asks to take the twins to England. They go to England and she goes to New England. Her parents house is there and the adventure begins. Continued in the next book.

I would recommend this series and author to readers of romantic family and friends relationships novels. 2024

Abigail has decided to let her 11 year old twin girls spend the summer with her ex husband Liam in London. She then decides to go to the summer house she has inherited from her family and sort it out and get it ready to sell. Her childhood friend Cleo came over to the house once Abigail arrived and scared the be Jesus out of her. Abigail is so deep in thought with the memories of the last time she was there. She was in an accident that affected her memory and her boyfriend Jacob had disappeared into thin air, no one knows anything about what had happened to him after the accident that he and Abigail were in together. Cleo and Abigail talk about the past and Abigail decides to do some searching to see if she can come up with anything about where Jacob had disappeared to. Cleo is a nurse at the local hospital and Abby asks her if she would mind checking the death records to see if she can find anything on Jacob. Abby remembers him visiting her in the hospital after the accident but her memory isn't very good. Cleo finds out that there is a death of Jacob so they continue to check into this. Byron a guy that Abby hung around with as a teenager kept the house up for her while she continued to live her life away. I can't wait for the next one to see what happens next!.

Unlikable main character

I know we are supposed to feel sorry for her but she really belongs in a health care facility. For something that happened twenty years ago she is a mess. Anyone who thinks that someone knocking on the door sounds like gunshots and cowers by the door has severe problems. She was in car accident not gunned down. I cannot see how anyone can continue reading about this woman and care is beyond me. Do I want to know what happened to Jacob? Of course, just not enough to put up with her lunatic behaviour.

This clean and wholesome summer beach second-chance later in life romance is page-turning with exceptional world-building and independent, captivating, and realistic characters. Their journey is enthralling with heartfelt emotions that will have readers needing Kleenex/Puffs, heartwarming stories of love, mystery, a sudden disappearance, drama, action, adventure, suspense that will have readers on the edge fo their seats, Abigail begins the search for truth... I recommend reading this book by an extraordinary author who knows how to captivate her reader's hearts and attention with the forgotten summer and suspense that will transport readers into a world that is full of magnificent sunrises and sunsets that are vibrantly painted across the skies and soft sand to walk on while the ocean waves cover their feet while the warm breeze engulfs them.

The Forgotten Summer, Book 1, is the introduction to the Newport Beach Series which features Abigail/Abby who has a history of a traumatic brain injury and amnesia from a car accident thought to involve Jacob Givens which happened in her senior year. She was recently divorced from her husband (Liam) and is the mother of twin eleven year old daughters (Sydney and Hannah). While her daughters are in England for the summer with Liam, Abby goes back to her deceased parent's home with the intention of sorting out personal items and attempting to find out what happened to Jacob Givens. However, Abby begins to experience strange things when she arrives to her old home. This well written and suspenseful book ends in a cliffhanger.

What really happened with her boyfriend Jacob? Abigail knows there was a car crash, that she was in an induced coma for a long time and that her memory is shot. She and her sister have received an inheritance from her family but she has done nothing with her share. She has spent the last 20 years taking care of her family and twins and really has no use for the beach house. But after a divorce she decides to spend the summer cleaning out everything to sell it and maybe find out some information as to what happened there.
She meets her high school friend Chloe and they rekindle their friendship and her BFF is determined to help her find out some answers.
Well it's another roller coaster ride for a Sage Parker series and can't wait to get book two read.

This was a great start to a new series which promises to give us a few surprises and secrets revealed. I am already in love with all the characters and I cannot wait to find out if our lead character, Abigail, ever regains her memories after losing them in a nasty accident when she was a teenager. Although she is married now with 11 year old twin girls and going through a divorce, when her husband decides to take the twins to London for the summer Abigail returns to her old home only to uncover some mysterious envelope in her father’s old study which leads Abigail to find out what happened to her old boyfriend who was driving the car at the time of the accident. So excited to read more.

This mystery series is off to a great start. The storyline has a lot of potential. The characters all mesh well together and I cannot wait to see where it leads. Abigail deserves to learn the truth about what happened to her after the accident. Finding Jacob is key to solving the mystery to his disappearance and what reall happened. Does Abigail's parents have anything to do with Jacob disappearing? Was there something more sinister to the car wreck then just an accident? How will Byron fit into all of this? I love the banter between Abigail and Liam's twins. They are refreshing. I cannot wait to see where Sage takes us with this one!.

"The forgotten Summer" is an unforgettable tale that beautifully weaves together love, mystery, and second chances. Abigail Clement's return to her family's beach cabin after twenty years is a journey filled with emotion and intrigue. The mystery of Jacob Givens' disappearance and what they saw that fateful summer kept me hooked from start to finish.

Abigail's rediscovery of the charming small town and the warmth of its community adds a delightful touch to her quest for truth. This heartwarming story is perfect for anyone who loves a good mystery wrapped in a sweet romance. A must-read that leaves you uplifted and longing for more!

Abigail and her husband Liam were going through a divorce… Their Twin Daughters wanted to be spend the summer with their dad in London…Abigail had her daughters promise to call her everyday and they said yes they would.. Abigail was going to Rhode Island (the house she inherited from her parents). She wanted to try and remember what had happened when she was younger and was almost killed in a car accident.. Thank you she couldn’t remember anything that happened at that time…

Good start to the story

Abigail Clements is facing some hard decisions, letting her twin daughters spend the summer with their Dad and Grandparents and facing a part of her past she doesn't remember. Now she is in Newport Beach trying to clear out her parents house and trying to remember an accident her senior year that almost killed her. So far she has found some things that only gets her asking even more questions. Can Abby with the help of old friend Cleo, and Byron find the answers?

Captivating

A captivating start to what will clearly be another incredible series by Sage Parker. I am totally drawn into this story with recently divorced Abigail returning years later to the small town where she had a life-altering accident as a teenager and searching for answers about what really happened. The next book can't be released fast enough!

And Sage does it again.
Twenty years ago Abigail had been in a horrific car accident, leaving her with NO MEMORY of that entire summer.
It still haunted her.
So, as her Ex-husband and twin daughters headed for London for 3 months, she decided To go to Newport and see if she could bring back some of her memories.
WOW!!! What a beginning.

How frightening must it be to not trust your memories in addition to having scary dreams. What actually happened that summer twenty years ago? What happened to Jacob? Is he still alive? I can tell this is going to be a lot of questions that we are going to need to be patient before we find out answers. Sage Parker has done it again, drawing me into her story. Looking forward to the next installment.

Really enjoyed the small town settings because it brings in some secondary characters that can add a lot to the story. There are a few twists in the story. I like the characters and the fact that they have faults they have to work through as they grow and learn about themselves. Can't wait to read more.
