Abigail is having flash backs of what happened to her and Jacob that summer and it is really terrifying her. Cleo has been spending lots of time with Abigail as well as Byron to help her find the pieces to the puzzle. Abigail has had trouble sleeping since the accident and her loss of memory of what happened so Cleo usually stays the night with Abigail to help her get through the night. Cleo and Abigail have found pictures, papers and a gun in the safe in Abigail's father's office. This makes it that much worse to go to sleep knowing that there is a gun in the house. Abigail and her new friend Bee have been doing some exploring at the warehouse where some shifty things took place with her father some years back. Abigail has a sneaky suspicion that Byron isn't too crazy for Bee but has no idea why. Abigail and Bee get back to the house and Bee stays with her awhile because she had some flash backs while at he warehouse and just needed some time to catch her breath. Cleo and Abigail go to a yoga class to see if Abigail can relax a bit, which she doesn't. Abigail goes to the ice cream shop at the beach and has a coughing fit when she inhales the hot coffee. When she returns to the house she meets Byron in the driveway, he has come to fix some plaster in the hallway. As Abigail mentions that she and Cleo found a gun in the safe, they head upstairs and Abigail hands some pictures to Byron and he spreads them out in two rows on the desk, after looking at them he all of a sudden has to go. When Abigail checks the safe the gun is gone along with one of the pictures. Byron must of ran out of the house, the front door was left open and his truck sped out of the driveway like a wind storm. Where is the gun? And why did Byron take the picture, was it someone in his family that will be implicated in some kind of trouble dealing with Abigail's father? I can't wait for the next book to find out!.

As Abby is going through the house she discovers some very strange items. She finds wiring that shows that the house is completely under surveillance and that the special door that her dad had on his office so the kids would not come in is not something regular. Upon further investigation she finds that by pulling the wiring there are even more unusual and questionable things that have been added to the home. Wait is this a fake wall and what could be behind it. A safe she never knew about, a gun, secrets in a desk. Who was her father and what was he up to. She is beginning to learn that many parents have secrets from their children. On top of that she learns that her ex has a girlfriend and it is causing some problems with her twins in London. Thank goodness she has Cleo and Byron to help her figure stuff out. Oh and Bee is acting even stranger by the minute. On top of all this Abby is starting to have flashes of the past but she can't tell what is real and what is off. One thing she is learning is that her father was not the man she thought he was.

The storylines keep getting better and better with sooo many questions!🤯🤯🤯 Ok, what’s going on with Bee?? Why does Byron have such a visceral reaction to her? I love the directions this series is taking. It has me trying to figure out what is going on. I have so many questions that I want answered. My anxiety goes through the roof as Abigail has her lucid dreams, panic attacks, nightmares, and snippets of memories. I am ready for the next book!.

So much is happening in Abigail’s life and the mysterious happenings in her home continue. Has someone broken into her home and taken items or is it someone that is close to her and has the opportunity? Byron is acting strange and Cleo and Bee are doing all they can to help Abigail solve all the mysteries regarding her father. The flashbacks are very intriguing and I wonder if they will help Abigail uncover the truth about Jacob. Can’t wait for the next book.

I’m going to admit right up front that I don’t understand Abigail’s problem with the gun being in the house. Okay, I can understand questioning why her father had it but not why its presence freaks her out so. Maybe it is because I’m from Texas and have been around guns all my life, or maybe it has something to do with that period of time she can’t remember. There appears to be more to her and Jacob’s car wreck than just a plain accident. We get more questions and no answers this time. I can’t wait to find out what is or was going on.
As Abigail and her friends continue to look for answers to what happened to cause the accident she and Jacob were in and where is Jacob. Then she and Cleo find a safe with papers and a gun in it. Nothing makes sense. Then when she tells Byron about the safe and that Bee knows some of what's going, Byron tells her to be careful with what she shares with Bee. Then when Abigail shows Byron the safe and he looks at the papers, he quickly takes off and then realizes that the gun is no longer in the safe. What is going on and is Byron involved?
So I am freaking out the same way as Abigail. What in the world is going on??? Who took the gun out of the safe and why? The only ones that knew about the safe and gun were Abigail, Cleo, and now, Byron and the person that put in there. I am hooked like Captain Hook from Peter Pan!!! Sage sure can write herself a mystery!!! I love it!.

This series is consuming my thoughts! The plot is so well laid out bringing together so many seemingly separate pieces into one twisty mystery. There is wonderful small town coastal charm and these characters will capture your heart but something isn't right. There are secrets and no answers as to what happened to Jacob years ago. Another amazing book that I couldn't put down!.

The Forgotten Summer, Book Three, finds suspense building for Abigail, Byron, and Cleo as they review the files and objects found in her father's office. Bee and Abby go to the past site of a warehouse shootout between the police and some criminals. Abby begins to experience a few momentary memories of the past. The book ends in a cliffhanger.

Somehow, as you get a glimpse of Abigail's and Jacob's, the mistery deepens, and you start getting suspicious of all persons in her life, except her daughters. I like how the story goes, and I cannot wait for the next book.

I love this story as Abigail continues to have flashbacks to her accident and events as a teenager. The mysterious events draw me totally into the story and I can't wait to know what happens next. I'm anxious to read the next book in this series to continue to see the mystery unfold.

Interesting and entertaining characters. There is drama and a few bumps in the road. Excellent continuation of the story and some of the questions are answered but some are not. Cannot wait to read more. Good read.

These books or chapters is more like it are extremely good. But every 3-4 chapters you have to stop and download another book which basically amounts to turning the page. I’m finding that very annoying. Great story. Good writer, but I have never seen a “book” presented like this.
Abigail is having more flashed back about her and Jacob, but what they mean? So much is going on with everyone around her and now the gun in the safe is gone.

This is one of the books where you need more answers to what is going on. Abigail lost her memory but bits and pieces are coming back slowly. Looking forward to the next book for answers

The characters were very fun and interesting. The deception feeds the mystery. The twists and turns help keep you alert to your guesses. It is a hard book to put down. I enjoyed this book from start to finish.
Abigail keeps getting more and more flashbacks and memories. What is going on? What sent Bryan off? Who really is Bee? Who took the GUN? Get us to Book 4 ,Sage.
