I have a big problem with this book - mainly because it's eerily similar to one I just finished. Beautifully Cruel by JT Geissinger. https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/4...
Lina (virgin) is working as a waitress at a diner. A sexy stranger has been coming in for a year ordering coffee and staring at her. She doesn't even know his name. Artem (mafia boss) has a crush on his little kitten, but he's dangerous and can't be with her, so he just drinks his coffee and watches her. When gunfire erupts, he kidnaps her and takes her to his house to keep her safe. Eventually they have sex. Any of that sound familiar to you???? I'm not saying it's a copycat, but it's a copycat. At least the "how they met" portion is.
Aside from it being too similar to another book, I still had issues.
When Lina is first talking about how hot she thinks the stranger is, she's saying she'd do anything to be with him and go anywhere he wants.
"It's the sort of voice that if he told me to get on my knees and suck his dick, I'd do it. No questions asked."
"I can't just blurt out, Please take me home with you, marry me, and give me babies"
So, she obviously wants him, but then the second bullets fly and he tries to get her to escape out the back door with him and into his car, she says NO!!!!! What the hell kind of sense does that make???? You just want to hang out and let someone shoot you?? Then she goes on to act like he's this big bad guy after she talks about wanting him so much and basically being in love with him.
Bitch, pick a personality and stick to it!!!

Lina is just your average spicy book author who works overnight in a coffee shop. She has a regular customer that she's been crushing on, and she calls him "Sir"(even in her own mind!). One early morning, he comes in for coffee and gunshots ring out. Artem, the regular customer, gets Lina to safety and whisks her away, therefore kidnapping her.
Y'allll, this book was so lovey-dovey and SPICY! The chemistry? Check. The humor? Check. An age gap, mafia romance with an OTT hero and his innocent heroine? Hell yes, double check! Once I started reading it, I couldn't stop. Evie books suck you in for a couple hours and honestly they leave a little bit of a "book high" that you get when you finish amazing books! I always drop what I'm reading to switch to Evie Rose's books when they land in my kindle! <3

I think ... no, I know, I'm done with this series, for the moment, at least. It just took me too much time to finish this one. I had to put it down a few times because it didn't keep my interest. It's definitely a me thing, I think, because I read a few books in this series back to back.
This one followed a similar formula like the last books. I liked his brand of obsession and protectiveness.
Again, even though everything happened in the span of a few short days, the pace was slow here and there, for me, especially because he resisted his urges to make her his, because oh he wanted to he so noble and let her free and out of his mafia life. How about you two have an honest conversation, ah?? They would have discovered earlier that they're both obsessed with each other since they met, but the fake engagement had to work for a day, at least (spoiler alert 🫢 there was nothing fake about their engagement 😂😂, just the label).
Anyways, good story if you want an age gap, quick read, OTT everything, with a dash of mafia danger, of course, an overprotective hero, a shy heroine that also has very naughty thoughts and needs *wink wink*, and a never-ending happy ending.

This one, though, was pretty bad. A "late thirties, early forties" bratva kingpin using words like "low-key" and "nope" just straight up kills the fantasy.

Artem has been going into a coffee shop for a year now because he’s obsessed with Lina. Lina has been obsessed with Artem since he’s been coming into the coffee shop. One morning gunshots are fired and Artem protects Lima by kidnapping her. She doesn’t realize he’s a mafia boss. I loved this morally gray hero Artem. He does everything in his power to protect Lina. It’s fast, action packed, well written and steamy. Great read.

This insta-attraction, mafia lite, OTT romance novella was awesome! It had a bit of kidnapping and angst to really engage the reader. It was safeish with no cheating too! Highly recommend!

Lina is a young woman working as a barista in a coffee shop. Every morning for a year she excitedly waits for him to come in and get his coffee, she doesn't know his name, just calls him Sir. Her last morning at work, as she has decided to leave London and start at Uni, Sir comes in as normal but all hell soon breaks lose. When bullets fly Lina finds herself on the floor being covered and protected by Sir. As he takes charge and forces her to leave the coffee shop, for her protection, she sees it as kidnapping and isn't exactly thankful. Lina soon learns that Sir is Artem Moroz, Bratva Boss of Mayfair, extremely dangerous, possessive, obsessive, wont take no for an answer when he wants something, and Lina will soon learn that he is absolutely in love in with her.
This was a good quick read, absolutely touch her and die vibes, would burn the world for her. Love a mafia/bratva book, age gap always a plus

Wasn't bad but wasn't great. The story was good although felt like it was missing something. Lots of flip flopping in MMCs head and I guess I get why and thankfully it was only in his head and not outward giving FMC mixed signals. I think for a 90 page book it was good. Can't cram too many details in there.

I couldn't stand the heroine.
She was a bit of an airhead and frankly ruined this book for me.
Because I could tolerate the fact that the hero didn't sound like a 40+ yo man, i could turn the blind eye to the fact that the story was all over the place: one minute he says he is too old and will never act on his feelings, the next she is his and no one else's, next he says she should be with someone better but then he adds he will never let her go.
And so on and so forth.
This was tiring to read.
And I honestly hate it when the heroine chases after the hero. She literally got into his bed, that's how horny and desperate she was.
Come tf on, girl.
Don't you have some self-restraint ?
Or self-respect?
Because she claimed was angry with him and wanted him to leave her alone and let her go and the next minute she climbs into his bed?
I was so embarrassed for her, I honestly lost interest in how this would go on.
I did finish and the epilogue was really sweet but this wasn't what i wanted or liked.
I love Evie Rose but I truly hope the other books in the series will be better.

Lina is a barista / romance writer, but she has problems with the steamy parts.... Because she is still a V-card holder 😉 Every day a hot older Russian man visits the cafe where she works and they kind of flirt. Now on her last day at the cafe she finally has the courage to ask him out...until there are shots. Artem is in love with the sweet younger Lina, but. Knows his life in the bratva makes it impossible to get a chance. But everything changes when she gets threatened. Now he has her and nothing and nobody can stop him from claiming his woman. A steamy romantic story about a barista in London falling head over heels for a Bratva boss, even though she doesn’t find out until a year has passed and he’s shot at while in the coffee shop she works at. During the shooting he takes her with him not wanting her hurt because after the past year he has fallen for her as well.
Every morning for the past year the Bratva boss has gone to the same coffee shop to see the barista who makes his coffee as well as his espresso, he leaves every time a tip with a note for her in the tip jar. The Bratva boss just became the head of Bratva after he killed his brother. Due to the actions of his brother a new London Mafia Syndicate was formed.
After the shooting the Bratva boss takes the barista to his home. The Bratva boss informs her of who he is and she gets angry when won’t let her leave. When the Bratva boss took her it was to be her last day as a barista, she was to go to the university to study on her writing, she was going to leave London behind.
Before the barista got angry with the Bratva boss, he gave her his card to get whatever she needed to make her stay better. During the next couple of days the don’t see much of one another until she goes into his room to masturbate, he comes and gives her oral sex and not long after they have dinner together outside, afterwards she gives him oral sex and at the end of the night he takes her to her room even though he wants her in his bed. The two want each but neither of them tell the other.
The two go to a meeting of the London Mafia Syndicate, he has her as his fiancé even though she thinks it a fake but in his mind it’s not. They go to the meeting to see if any of them knows who’s trying to kill him. During the meeting the members have to talk in code due to one of the members guest not knowing about the mafia boss’s involvement with the mafia. During the meeting the barista talks to a friend that used to work at the coffee shop but is now married to one of the mafia bosses. One of the mafia bosses thinks that it’s either the barista or it may be someone from his own organization trying to kill him. So he goes to the barista and takes her to a secluded corner where he gives her a gun and tells her to kill him, but she can’t do it and he takes the gun back.
Soon after they leaves they talk as they try to figure out who it could be, she has a strong feeling about a man he talked to the night of the shooting and tells him about it. They make a plan but at the last minute she does something else, she wants to watch what happens. By the end of the night two are dead and she’s injured but treatable.
They both confess their love for one another, he chases her around his rooms before he gives her oral sex as well as having sex with her against the wall of his private office, after that he takes her to the bed where they make love. The Bratva boss asks the barista to marry him and he tells him yes.
Nine years later she’s launching another book out and he’s getting everything ready for her as he has always done after she has a book launching. They have two children, a daughter and a son, the daughter is like her mother and the son is just like his father. The couple has been married for a while. The couple and their children eat breakfast together. The wife has her regular launch day with her friends and the husband will go to work. The children don't know that he’s the Bratva boss and he plans on not telling them until they’re older. The husband wants to be with his wife but that will have to wait until later.
Wonderful characters are in this story which is a page turner, a steamy romantic story with some action and intrigue and a happily ever after ending.

The Bratva boss just became the head of Bratva after he killed his brother. Due to the actions of his brother a new London Mafia Syndicate was formed.
After the shooting the Bratva boss takes the barista to his home. The Bratva boss informs her of who he is and she gets angry when won’t let her leave. When the Bratva boss took her it was to be her last day as a barista, she was to go to the university to study on her writing, she was going to leave London behind.
Before the barista got angry with the Bratva boss, he gave her his card to get whatever she needed to make her stay better. During the next couple of days the don’t see much of one another until she goes into his room to masturbate, he comes and gives her oral sex and not long after they have dinner together outside, afterwards she gives him oral sex and at the end of the night he takes her to her room even though he wants her in his bed. The two want each but neither of them tell the other.
The two go to a meeting of the London Mafia Syndicate, he has her as his fiancé even though she thinks it a fake but in his mind it’s not. They go to the meeting to see if any of them knows who’s trying to kill him. During the meeting the members have to talk in code due to one of the members guest not knowing about the mafia boss’s involvement with the mafia. During the meeting the barista talks to a friend that used to work at the coffee shop but is now married to one of the mafia bosses. One of the mafia bosses thinks that it’s either the barista or it may be someone from his own organization trying to kill him. So he goes to the barista and takes her to a secluded corner where he gives her a gun and tells her to kill him, but she can’t do it and he takes the gun back.
Soon after they leaves they talk as they try to figure out who it could be, she has a strong feeling about a man he talked to the night of the shooting and tells him about it. They make a plan but at the last minute she does something else, she wants to watch what happens. By the end of the night two are dead and she’s injured but treatable.
They both confess their love for one another, he chases her around his rooms before he gives her oral sex as well as having sex with her against the wall of his private office, after that he takes her to the bed where they make love. The Bratva boss asks the barista to marry him and he tells him yes.
Nine years later she’s launching another book out and he’s getting everything ready for her as he has always done after she has a book launching. They have two children, a daughter and a son, the daughter is like her mother and the son is just like his father. The couple has been married for a while. The couple and their children eat breakfast together. The wife has her regular launch day with her friends and the husband will go to work. The children don't know that he’s the Bratva boss and he plans on not telling them until they’re older. The husband wants to be with his wife but that will have to wait until later.
Wonderful characters are in this story which is a page turner, a steamy romantic story with some action and intrigue and a happily ever after ending.

Snatched by the Bratva By Evie Rose. This is Artem Moroz and Lina Breock's age-gap romance story. Artem is the head of the Russian Bratva in London. He is an older possessive and jealous mafia boss. Lina is a romance writer and a barista working at an all hours coffee shop (The Lazy Bean) Monday Thru Friday the night shift. Artem has been coming into the Lazy Bean everyday Lina works for the past year. Sir is what Lina calls Artem, because he has never told her his name. Every morning Sir comes in at a quarter past five and calls her kisa (kitten). She knows his order by heart, an espresso to drink in and a flat white to go. She knows he has wealth by the way he dresses. He wears a three-piece suit with a high quality cotton shirt and shiny silver metal cuff links. He could be right out of a men's magazine with his dark brown hair and steel-gray eyes. Lina sees herself as a normal girl with black hair, a snub nose and coffee stains on her clothes. Well look at where she works!
Lina plans on this being her last shift, because she has been saving what she can to take a class in creative writing, so she will be leaving. She also would like to get some other experience in ways to write better romance stories. Her readers want more happening in her books. The morning of Lina's last shift Sir comes in as usual and gets his order. As he goes to leave Lina calls him back and gunfire starts. Artem takes Lina and puts her in his SUV tells her to buckle-up and off they go. She has been his obsession for a year and he will keep her safe. They do have chemistry smoldering between them. I bet you can't wait to see what happens next. I loved the characters and how Artem and Lina reacted to each other. This story is well written and Evie is a talented writer. This book has action, kidnapping, spice, steamy scenes, and hope.
