Rivers has been heart broken and destroyed. Left by his mother at 3 years old and never adopted and never feeling loved. Rivers lucked out at 14 and became an overnight rock star and his band Global Authors includes 3 other men that he knew from the orphanage.
Lila who has a best friend Anna that would bury a body for her and a family full of love and sunshine. Anna and Lila need a big break in the music world and they join the tour with Global Authors with a chance to win their own contract.
Rivers and Lila get to know each other and Rivers is in love at first sight but her sunshine, love and happiness makes Rivers feel that he is not good enough and will break Lila in the future. Rivers tries to pull away and make sure he does not hurt her because she is precious to him.
Rivers drinks to much, is grumpy, and isolates himself and only Lila can get through to him but will she have the strength to tough it out until the Rock Star gets his head straight is the question.
This was a sad story really, I spent a lot of time wondering if Rivers was going to attempt suicide due to his self loathing. That being said Rivers figured out how to get up and brush himself off and go after the one good thing in his life while holding on to the second best thing in his life.

Loved It!
Rivers is a broken rockstar and is need of some image polishing. Lila is an up-and-coming talent who is ready to give her career a big boost. That boost comes in the form of bad boy rocker, Rivers. With fake dating him it helps clean up his image and she may get just what she needs career wise. What happens though when she discovers everything that makes River into the man he is today? I loved their story. It was gritty and emotional.

It was the best time ever!!! I have had the pleasure to previously read both books that made this one edition and I was in love with Lila and Rivers story then as much as I am now. Their complicated dynamic and troubled relationship is the epitome of real life struggles only under the public eye point of you. Their past meshing with their present and the possibility of a future together !!! I loved it !!! And the new scenes added with respect to the original books… my goodness my heart !!!! I felt like my emotions were all over the place !!!! There’s something so raw about a love story between a tattooed and heart broke rock star and the sunshine new girl who’s just stepping on stage and has every single opportunity in front of her!!! Their dichotomy is uncanny and impossible to ignore. But it is what brings them together and what, through the ups and downs, ultimately allows them to be together. Still, to this day, Lila and Rivers’s relationship and story will stay with me forever !!

Rivers appears to be living the dream life of a rock star, but his upbringing was less than idyllic. As a result, he hides his insecurities behind questionable choices and the only way to salvage his career is to show that he has changed and is in a committed relationship.
Lila is trying to launch her music career when she is presented with an offer she can’t refuse. Pretending to be in a relationship with a famous musician who has a bad reputation shouldn’t be that difficult until she realizes that when it comes to Rivers what you see isn’t necessarily correct.
You can’t help but feel for Rivers and the turmoil he was going through as Lila showed him that she was exactly who he needed in his life.

This book is an all and improved version of Lila and Rivers story. We get bonus scenes and more. River is a bad boy rock star that has a bad image and needs a nice girl to help untaint his image. Lila wants a contract and she was promised everything she ever wanted if she would just fake date him. The pull between the two of them is magical. For something that started out as fake just may become the real deal. Loved it

There's no better time or way to grab Lila and Rivers story than right now while you don't have to endure cliffy wait times, and you score yourself some extra bonus chapters. Just be prepared because this couple takes you on a breath stealing, heartstring tugging, all up in your feels rollercoaster ride.

A terrific read! Lila and Rivers story will take you on a rollercoaster ride of emotions and I enjoyed every page of it. I really loved characters, they were engaging and likable and I enjoyed the push and pull between them. A terrific read and one I recommend.
