This book proves that not all nanny tropes have to also come with age gap tropes, like previous ones I've read. Evan and Sarah are basically high school sweethearts who ended when he was at college. 15 years later, they reconnected in a way that was written well. I could feel their instant connection, but also the anger and hurt they both still had for each other.
They slowly reconnected through his daughter, Ella (sweet kid!), and despite some bumps, ended in a sweet HEA. This book was on the shorter end but kept me engaged and wanting to keep reading the whole time!

Love that Bridges Time and Misconceptions
Life in a small town can be both idyllic and horrific—and at the same time. Evan and Sarah's Love Story
This is the third book in the Sweet Haven saga, with all the past characters in minor roles.
Evan Whitlock was the star QB for the high school team, with Nick Slater and Christian Benson his teammates. He went on to be a star in college and played in the NFL in Green Bay, nicknamed Evan The Conqueror.
Evan's wife was killed in a plane crash 5 years ago. They had a 2 year old daughter at the time of her death. He grieved so intensely that he was unable to successfully compete and finally retired.
Evan was always a successful businessman, even while playing. He opened 10 athletic training centers, among other ventures, and is a billionaire.
Sarah Baxter was a classmate of the boys, although she was poor, lived in a trailer, and hang with a different crowd. They met the summer after graduation and fell in love, both losing their virginity to each other.
Evan went to college, and their relationship fell apart.
15 years later, Evan is back in Sweet Haven, and he needs a nanny for his daughter, who is not a fan or trying to steal from him. Sarah, who has just been tossed aside by her political boyfriend in Nashville because her brother is a recovering addict, is back in Swwet Haven and applies for the nanny jobinspite of their history.
Both harbor anger, but Evan hires her anyway. She bonds completely with the child, while their past love resurfaces.
Evan continues to suffer from PTSD over his wife's death. The story handles this subplot well.
Sarah is a strong character, surviving hardships and succeeding in launching a hand-made jewelry company
Their story is complicated and entertaining. I recommend this book.

Oh what a brilliant read. Ava Nicholls does it again! I loved this story right from the start!
Evan and Sarah first meet as students, Young teenagers that fall in love, but are unable to sustain a long distance relationship when Evan moves to further his chances at a NFL career. He had a dream which he was set to fulfil, but still wanted it all, including Sarah. Sarah is unable to cope with the separation, so deciding that she did not want to hold Evan back, she let him go!
The story continues, 15 years later......
Oh boy what a rollercoaster of a ride. The slow burn, second chance at love is captivating. I could not put this book down and read it from start to finish in one sitting.
Evan is stunned when Sarah stands at his door 15 years after they first met. She is looking for a job, still down on her luck, and had nowhere else to go. Evan needed a Nanny, so against his better judgement he hires Sarah to look after his daughter, Ella.
Sarah finds she still has strong feelings for Evan, but refuses to let him see her reactions when he is close, as does Evan, but he still feels angry and hurt that she dumped him all those years ago. He wants to know why!!
The emotion, angst, and the passion, is high, as they finally succumb to their desires, but Evan refuses to hand over his heart to Sarah.
An accident, where Ella is hurt, and Sarah is the driver of the car, leads to angry words by Evan, as he relives his past where his late wife dies in a plane crash. He treats Sarah badly and she leaves, carrying a secret with her.
How do they finally reach their HEA is incredible. So many twists is this story to keep you invested in their lives.
A worthy 5 star read!.

This is the second book from this author, and I loved meeting Sarah and Evan.
Evan and Sarah are each others firsts, they fell hard and thought it would be forever, however Sarah coming from a different life, and knowing where Evan wanted to go with his, and especially his football career, she made a choice.
15 years later, circumstance brings them together, both harbouring so many mixed emotions, hurt at how things had been left unsaid, and fodder for the small town gossip that was now plaguing them both. Evan was now a widower, single Dad, and that stellar football career was gone, however thru business savvy at the time, he was a wealthy man in his own right. Sarah had been cast aside by her now ex fiancé, and was living with the weight of her brothers exploits and past behaviours, and trying to make her dreams for her jewellery business, that she had put aside, flourish.
There was initial hesitancy when her soon to be ex-employees suggested Sarah apply for the nanny position that Evan needed for his daughter Ella. Had to much water passed under the bridge? It is clear that there is a lot of unresolved feelings, and this unravels as the story goes on, and when something terrible happens, it is clear that Sarah isn't the only one with issues and guilt to acknowledge.
There is the perfect amount of spice with a beautiful story that sees two opposite sides of a coin, putting aside the toxic vitriol and gossip of some of those small minded people from their town and reconnect. It proves that if you truly love someone, you are always there no matter what.

I absolutely loved this story and could not stop reading it until the end! Evan and Sarah two high schoolers who met at the end of year and have a whirlwind romance. Only to end up parting ways while in college and meet again in the most unexpected way as adults.
Sarah is smart, kind, observant but also has a spark about her that lets others know that she is no pushover.
Evan is Mr.Football turn business man who happens to be gorgeous and have a loving daughter.
The two meet in the most unexpected way that ends up being beneficial for both. From there, two former lovers end up getting to know each other and undiscover some things that they did not know about each other. This alone takes them on a much needed journey that allows the two to see each other in different shades of lights and grow. I absolutely loved how the author told the story of the two main characters and actually fleshed out their backgrounds and more. As I continued reading, it brought the characters to life and made it seem as if you were experiencing their growing relationship with them. There were definitely some moments between the two that were hot and steamy.
All in all, I absolutely loved this story and highly recommend it to all.

Evan and Sarah have a history that didn't end well. Now years, later she needs a new nanny job and he might be the only person that will hire her. Her brother showed back up in her life when she had been dating a man from a public family. Once the news found at about her brother it caused a scandal and her man dumped her by ghosting her. That is how she ended up back in her hometown but now news is spreading about what happened to her and her job opportunities dry up. She uses a fake name to get into the door for an interview with Evan for a nanny job. Evan is looking for a nanny because the previous ones only wanted to get close to him to find something to sell for money. He is stunned when he sees Sarah but after the way she interacts with his daughter he knows that she is the one he needs. Its not long before they grow closer while she is working for him. Soon things are heating up between them. Can this be a second chance for them?
This is a great story that will captivate you from beginning to end. This is a well written and very entertaining story. Its a book that any book lover would enjoy.

Sarah was engaged with a politician but he broke up with her because her brother is a drug addict and his family doesn’t like scandals.
She was a nanny to a couple but she wanted to move in her old town because of the scandal.
The same women whom she was working ,gaved her a busness card of an ex quaterback player that he needs a nanny .
The person is her ex boyfriend that 15 years ago she broke up with him because of her insecurities.
When she went to buy from the supermarket she heard three women talking about her and said that they want to ruin her.
She can’t find a job so she applied with a different name because of her backround job she had the job when she presented herself at his door he couldn’t believe that the vile woman that broke his heart is in his doorstep.
I really loved this book ecxellent story and faboluos written.
This book is one of those when you start you wont take it off your hands.

Oh my goodness I have not blushed so red, cried so hard, and said “awe” in a book as much as I did in this book. (Sorry for the run on sentences)

The characters were described in great detail and showed so much emotion that it makes you feel like you know the person.

This intriguing and moving romance book kept me glued to the couch while reading it and tears in my eyes at times as well. My heart broke for Sarah when people judged her because of her brother and his history of drug and alcohol abuse. Her story is one you must read about. Then there’s Evan a single dad raising his daughter Ella after losing his wife. This book throws all types of emotions at you but in the end this book is one FANTASTIC HOT read. I caught myself smiling at times at the funny things Ella says. Ava can write some of the absolute best books ever and you’re going to want this book in your kindle library.

Wowsa this book is absolutely fantastic and will definitely have you hooked from the beginning until the end and has all the right feels and so much more. Sarah and Evan dated and it she broke his heart .years later she's back in her hometown and Evan and his daughter are back but,can he forgive her for breaking his heart? WOW this was another great story of Sarah and Evan fightest relationship. It was a steamy page turner and the suspense was incredible intense. The sexual tension between them was electrifying as the chemistry was unique and spicy. Will his child like her or not. Will this child have a bond with her. I couldn't put this one down! From start to finish, I really loved this story. I actually would have liked it to be longer. Evan and Sarah's love story was bittersweet, so many misunderstandings. But Evan proves to Sarah he can learn from past mistakes and be a better man. Plus, I just love when there are adorable kids like Ella She was such an easy child to love. I definitely recommend this book!!!

This was a great second chance romance.
Evan and Sarah broke up years ago, but fate brings them back together for a second shot at love.
These characters were amazing! They were so real.. and likable. The story was intriguing, and kept my attention from start to wonderful finish.

I really enjoyed this story. The characters are well written, the story flows naturally and there's some drama to give the story a twist.
I love that the relationship between Sarah and his daughter develops just as naturally as the relationship between Sarah and Evan. Sarah and Evan are both trying to protect their hearts while falling harder than ever.
