As an Award Winning and International Amazon, Barnes & Noble, and Kobo Best Selling Author, I have always been an avid reader. I joke that I "cut my romance teeth" on the old historical romance books. I’ve written as a hobby for over 30 years. In 2014, I finally gave in to the characters in my head pleading for their story to be told. Thus, Emma's Home was created.

My first novel, Emma's Home became an Amazon Best Seller in 3 categories within the first month of publishing. Its success was followed by the rest of the Fairfield Series and then led into the Love's Series. From there I have continued with the romantic suspense Alvarez Security Series and now the Saints Protection & Investigation Series.

My books are filled with sweet romance and hot sex; mystery, suspense, real life characters and situations. My heroes are alphas, take charge men who love the strong, independent women they fall in love with.
I worked as a counselor in a high school and have been involved in education for the past 30 years. I recently retired and now can spend more time devoted to my writing.

I have been married to a wonderfully patient man for 35 years and have 2 adult, very supportive daughters.
When writing, my dog or one of my cats will usually be found in my lap!

Mystery

I’ve so enjoyed this series! Rose and Jason add another great couple to this town. Lots of mystery new and old. The support system that is told about in this Series is so great! We could all be so lucky to live somewhere like this.

To be honest, when I saw the title of this book I wasn’t completely sold. But once I started reading and got Rose’s story and got to know Rose, there is no other title this book could have. It is perfect.

The story is sweet but not sticky sweet. It is a bit of insta-lust which quickly revs up to insta-love. It is a second chance story of Rose’s return to Baytown after life handed her some road blocks on her journey to her dreams.

“Honey, life is change. Plans are good…they give us goals and guidance. But they’re not written in stone and shouldn’t be. Life happens. We reevaluate. We adapt. And we make new plans.”

I loved the mystery aspect of the story when Rose makes a gruesome discovery in her new building and shakes things up in quiet Baytown!!

“He watched her smile, and his heart ached, wondering if there was a way he could hold onto that smile forever. Just like that, no artifice. No pretense. Just this beautiful woman who looked up to him as though he could move mountains.”

Jason is an awesome swoony hero who puts Rose first in everything. He falls for her hard and never wavers! I absolutely adore this story and only wish it went on longer. Maybe I’ll have to reread ;)

I'm so sorry but this one I didn't love
. I liked how they initially got together but hated how the three year separation was. He continued to have ONS while she was to busy to even think about dating. He never took anyone home to his apartment so that's supposed to mean something. Didn't to me. What really had me skimming was the OW that was there to get a tattoo coming on to him. He rebuffs her turns around and the next second she's completely naked. What is with these and OW everywhere throwing themselves at the H. I kept going cause I wanted to figure out the mystery. Wasn't sold on his love. This could be a me not your thing

so let opinion sway you. This hit a lot of personal pet peeves.

I enjoy the Baytown Boys, but find all the books follow the same pattern. After reading the first four books, now I just read the books that main character catches my attention. Since book one, I have found Jason interesting. This story starts with instant lust between Jason and Rose. They are a sexy couple, but found it unnecessary to have so many detailed sex scenes, as it takes away from the storyline.
The mystery factor is intriguing, as it involves a murder from decades ago. Past characters are mentioned, but only a couple have roles in this story. The author usually adds words of wisdom, with my favorite this time being “It’s high time I started living my life, not always waiting for all my plans to fall into place”.
Though, I enjoy this entertaining series, I need a break from it. I can’t justify paying to keep reading books with such similar plots. I question series timeline, in relationship to key events. Though, I did appreciate Jason wasn’t haunted by his time in the military, which is an over used theme.

Jason and Rose were made for each other and they had instant chemistry. Both were shy about expressing their feelings. Rose was so sweet but problems seem to follow her around. Her father's sudden illness, then death, her mom's stroke. Throw in finding a skeleton in the basement of her business, getting hit by a car, having someone try to murder her and surprise pregnancy with twins. This book is part of the Baytown series. Neither were original natives but they soon were welcomed into the loving family and quickly became part of the community. No shortage of drama and plenty of emotions in this sweet romance. The characters were well-developed, strong and likable. The story was engaging and I found it hard to put down once I began reading. I read an arc and voluntarily chose to review. A sweet happily ever after.

Sweet Rose and what every girl needs Jason...this couple has it all...chemistry, charm, wit and it seems like they're starting a relationship backwards but it totally works for them. Maryann Jordan brings relationships to life with mystery, warmth, caring, sexiness but most of all love 💘💘💘

‘Military duty called them away to war zones, but after tours overseas, the group of friends found their way back home as men, seeking the peaceful little seaside town. Now, the band of brothers, together once more, work to provide a place for less fortunate veterans to call home.’

Sweet Rose is the tenth instalment in the Baytown Boys series by Maryann Jordan. Having seen these books pop up on social media and reading my GR friend’s reviews of the series I started collecting the books quite some time ago, but has taken me till now to finally plunge in.
Maryann Jordan’s Baytown Boys series is a 17-book romantic suspense saga that masterfully weaves together themes of camaraderie, love, healing, and personal redemption. Set in the fictional coastal town of Baytown, an idyllic seaside town, this series follows a close-knit group of former military friends who return home from service overseas and strive to create a supportive environment for themselves and less fortunate veterans. Ms. Jordan’s storytelling fuses small-town charm with emotional depth, making the setting a vivid and integral component of her storyline/s.
Each book centers around a different MC, exploring their unique struggles and romantic journeys. The veterans’ experiences and wartime scars are written with sensitivity and authenticity, adding an extra element of emotional resonance to the relationships and characters personal growth.
Ms. Jordan cleverly balances romance with mystery and suspense. From murder investigations to drug rings, each plot includes high-stakes elements that kept me engaged, all while the romantic tension sizzled. But, beyond the romance/s, intrigue, and action - the stories also show the healing power of friendship, love, and a supportive community - which created a warm and reassuring backdrop for the more intense elements.
This series is ideal for readers of contemporary romantic suspense with a military element and small-town setting.
Happy Reading…

Because of the mystery, I couldn't put it down

For a while, Rose couldn't catch a break try to open her ice cream shop. It was one setback after another that started when Jason got the building she was looking at. When she comes back three years later and buys the building across the street from Jason. They both hope to keep things cordial and friendly but secretly wish they could be more. They finally give into the lust and things turn into strong feelings but she is still trying to get her shop open. Then she finds a chest of bones in the cellar of her shop and things are delayed again. Will they be able to figure out who the bones belong to and how they died? Is it just a mystery or a cold case of murder and if it was murder, will they be able to find he killer.

Jason and Rose

This is a great read. Handsome, hunky, long haired Jason is the mechanic/tattooist in Baytown. Beautiful, shy and sweet Rose is back in town after her plans to open an ice cream shop completely flew apart three years ago when Jason had bought the shop next to his garage. Before she left she and Jason had one night of passion and Jason woke up alone. Rose has now bout the store across the road from Jason and they pick up where they left off and she get the shop set up. While cleaning she discovers a cellar door and finds a body in a trunk. As Mitch tries to find the identity of the body life goes on and Jason is determined to keep his Rose safe. This book has romance, suspense, suspects, an uppity mayor and his strong wife, all of the Baytown boys and their women, love and family.

Jason Boswell and Rose Parker's story. After losing the real estate shop she wanted to open her ice cream parlor in Baytown, Jason, and Rose had a one-night stand, and she left after getting a call about her father being sick—fast forward a few years, and she is back in Baytown still looking for the right shop for her ice cream shop. There is quite a bit going on with the story. Along with reconnecting with Jason, Rose runs across some letters from the past owners and curiously looks for the cellar they mentioned. When she opens the cellar and finds a skeleton, many things need to be answered—book 10 of 17 in the Baytown Boys series.

Terrific tale of Mystery and Love

Jason and Rose are both new to Baytown, and their attraction is strong and immediate. But life pulls them apart and it's three years before they're back together. or are they? Rose has her ice cream shop set to open across from Jason's mechanic garage and the proximity is perfect for their relationship to grow. Add in a mysterious death from Baytown's past that makes everyone's life more interesting. Characters you care about and a riveting storyline are a great combination.

tempi verbali sempre assenti............

Absolutely loved this book. The characters are impossible not to love.
That said... Amanda? SMH. How does that get past editors? If it only happened once I could let it go but several times? Nope, can't let that go without a mention. If beta readers are needed, let me know. I'll do it for free. As an avid @MaryannJordan reader, an error like that is very disappointing.
Still loved the book though & gave it 5 stars because of the storyline and characters.

I'm enjoying the series so much that I'm a little sad I'm over half way through it. I tried to slow down but I just keeping reading them back to back. The friendships are like nothing you see today but everyone would love to have. Rose keeps getting dealt setback after setback. Jason has a sad past too. Rose and Jason are another sweet couple. Rose discovers something in her cellar and it all puts her in danger.

Sweet Rose: when Rose came into town the first time she had a plan to open an ice cream shop! That didn't happen because the one place she want was already had a bid on it by the sexy car repair shop owner. An they got a little acquainted but than she had to leave to help her Mom wither her Dad then her Dad died shortly after her Mom had bc a stroke. She came back to Baytown and looked for another place. Her and Jason had a great connection!

It's a good series

I like the idea of friends who grew up together coming home and making a happy ever after. I just wish you would do more with the women . frankly they come across as brainless twits who gush all the time and need a man to save them. I like to read about strong women too. All in all I am i enjoying the series especially the Veterans aspect.

Happily Ever After...

Jason and Rose’s story, while it took a while, did it disappoint! It was sweet and real! I’m so glad the drama stayed in the mystery and not in the love story!

A great story and part of a great series. It's really a gift how the entire series just flows together but each story stands on its own merit! Don't miss this!
