Although the book does not have so much written content but the images are amazing and I truly enjoyed reading the captions that Mourinho wrote they have a very good sense of humor and the most important thing; they are really motivational.. I love the book because I am a huge fan of Jose Mourinho and I think he is en exceptional manager and his career is exceptional as well.. it is a special career of the special one ...

108 Waterstones es una cadena de librerías que tiene como joya de su corona la tienda situada en la plaza Piccadilly Circus de Londres, una de las más grandes de Europa con casi 12 kilómetros de estanterías. No exageramos si decimos que solo con los libros de José Mourinho se podrían llenar varios estantes en esta o en cualquier otra librería de cualquier ciudad del mundo. Muchos escritores y periodistas, ya sea con el objetivo de alabarlo o de machacarlo despiadadamente, se han sentido atraídos por una de las figuras más controvertidas del mundo del balón que a nadie deja indiferente. El pasado 15 de octubre, Mourinho se sentó en una rueda de prensa en Waterstones para hablar, e incluso firmar ejemplares como si fuera un afamado escritor, de un nuevo lanzamiento editorial que lo ha elegido como protagonista. No sería una gran novedad, si no fuera por un detalle: este libro lo firma él. Sí, lo firma y no lo escribe porque la obra contiene pocas palabras y muchas imágenes. En concreto, un centenar de fotografías, algunas inéditas que jamás habían sido publicadas, que repasan de forma muy visual la trayectoria de un entrenador de un palmarés tan abultado como viperina es su lengua.

Mourinho, así sin más, es una obra publicada por la editorial Headline. Un libro fotográfico porque, según su protagonista y autor, "no hay palabras para describir mis sentimientos". La obra no está pensada para aquellos que quieran encontrar un compendio de frases polémicas o explicaciones de grandes secretos que rodean al técnico portugués como su tumultuosa salida del Real Madrid o su mala relación con una amplia lista de personajes futboleros. El Mourinho más polémico, aquel que se autocalifica como The Special One, el que no tiene ni una pizca de autocrítica o el que llega a justificar que su cese del banquillo del Chelsea sería un mal negocio para su club porque despediría al mejor técnico de su historia, no tiene cabida en esta obra.

En ese sentido, este libro puede decepcionar, pero tiene el valor de aportar otra visión del técnico luso, dejándole mudo, privándolo de la palabra, arrebantádole la fanfarronería que tan feliz le hace. Del Mourinho que ha entrenado a Porto, Inter, Chelsea o Real Madrid lo sabemos todo, o casi todo lo que se puede llegar a saber, pero uno de los aspectos más atractivos de este libro es que nos transporta a los inicios del Mou más desconocido, aquel que empezó su carrera hace 15 años en el Benfica y en el Uniao de Leiria. De hecho, una mirada más profunda a su desconocido pasado como futbolista hubiera ampliado aún más el interés por esta obra que, de momento, no tiene fecha de salida en el mercado español y que, primero, prueba fortuna en el anglosajón. Todo un atrevimiento en una época de bajón para The Special One.

Dévoré en même pas une heure, j'avais le besoin d'en savoir plus sur cet entraineur de foot qui me fascine depuis petite. Voir ces images qu'il a regroupé dans ce bouquin, c'est encore plus criant que tu texte. Des annotations par ci et par là, ce qui a peut-être manqué c'est ses passages dans les médias ( les plus iconics tout du moins).

Mais ce livre retrace très bien en image sa carrière au côté de très grandes équipes qu'il a mené jusqu'à la victoire. Une phrase pour résumer cela : " he parks where he wants ". C'est clairement cela.

Le voir heureux, toujours mentionnant sa famille, montre son côté humain que certains ont négligé. On oublie souvent ce côté au profit de l'image de qlq d'arrogant qu'il cultive dans la presse notamment.

More of an annotated picture book. The book begins with an introduction, where Mourniho states that he cannot put his emotions into words, but share them via pictures, many of them unseen prior to this.

It is very interesting to see his opinions on my beloved Chelsea back in 2015, compared to now. I have very conflicting opinions and feelings towards Jose, but I can't help but fall in love with him whilst reading the book. I look forward to seeing a full and authorised biography.

Colpa mia non aver letto che nella sostanza fosse composto da sole foto, non si capisce però il tono "irriverente" nella descrizione quando in realtà nelle didascalie si limita a descrivere oggettivamente le varie foto. Non mi è piaciuto proprio perché non esce per niente il personaggio Mourinho.

Iako je poprilično neobična, jer sadrži mnogo fotografija, a jako malo teksta, knjiga mi se svidjela. Ona zapravo predstavlja krunu na vrhuncu Murinjove menadžerske karijere. On je birao fotografije i opisao svaku od njih. Kroz te fotografije Murinjo progovara o svim izazovima, usponima i padovima koje je prošao na trnovitom putu ka vrhu svjetskog fudbala. Jako volim i pratim fudbal, pa mi se možda i zbog toga knjiga toliko svidjela (jer znam ko je i šta je Murinjo postigao). Ne treba zanemariti činjenicu da je ovaj čovjek jedan od najboljih fudbalskih menadžera na svijetu, pa je sam po sebi intrigantan kao ličnost.

This book is about Jose Mourinho's job as a manager of a team. There are only pictures with a little bit caption in the book because Jose Mourinho think that pictures are better than words. I think the book is interesting but he should really write more words.
