Loved this book. I've been a huge fan of Lady Gaga's for a good while, and I am really pleased to learn more about her albums/songs' meanings.

I can't stress how much I love this book. And I'm not even a Little Monster! I check it up because my best friend is, and that's going to be her Christmas gift.
The book starts right at the beginning of Gagas's career and goes up until now. It is filled with incredible images of her! It tells her stories in a timeline, which makes it so much easier for not fans to understand the whole craziness she created.
If you are a Little Monster: this is a must!
If you know someone that is a Little Monster: here's the Christmas gift you've been looking for!
If you like to understand famous, extremely intelligent people: believe me, you will be surprised (in the best way).
Great job for those involved!

1. Didn't deliver what I expected at all.

4. Excellent! Delivered more than expected.
5. Literally changed my life!

This summary of Lady Gaga's life & career was a pretty quick read. Although there was plenty of information that any Lady Gaga fan would know - there's also a lot of interesting new things I didn't know. I especially enjoyed the summary of her start as an up and coming artist - which led me to watch a very interesting and sparsely attended Lollapalooza performance in 2007.
Since it is so short, I think this is a good read for any Lady Gaga fan.

Ця книга скарб! І не тільки якщо ви супер фан Леді Гаги. В неї вже є супер рекорди, та розкриття таланту по всіх креативних напрямках.
Я багато чого знала до прочитання книги, проте знайшла багато нового для себе, а фото неймовірні! Та потужні виділені цитати.
Книга 2024 року та закінчується премʼєрою Джокера.
Тому, поживемо життя та чекаємо на другу частину книги))

I am so fascinated by Lady Gaga. Even in a world of so much talent and individuality, she really stands out. This book is a well-organized resource to learn so many different kinds of things about Lady Gaga and her life and accomplishments. Thanks to NetGalley for letting me read this.

I was so excited to read this but sadly this is a cut and paste biography with no substance or enjoyment. If you like a factual, bullet point biography, then this is for you.

What a great trip down memory lane. What an absolutely amazing artist and person. Being a little monster is pure joy. Had this been released after MAYHEM, Gaga's story would become even more interesting. Paws up!

I like Lady Gaga, so I was excited to read The Essential… Lady Gaga from Annie Zaleski. It was pretty good.

I learned a lot, even if it’s not perfect.
I am a fan of Lady Gaga, so reading about her life and career was a lot of fun. I learned a lot of stuff that I didn’t know about her. I think if I was a hardcore fan, there’s a good chance that I might already know most if not all of this stuff.
At the end of the day, I have to ask myself if we really need to be pumping out biographies of 38 year old artists who are still alive and destined to produce more music. I don’t necessarily think we do.
The photos were excellent.
I was impressed by not only the sheer number of photos included in this book but also the period of time covered. Seeing photos of Gaga as she was just starting out prior to becoming a big star with the debut of The Fame.
To me, the photos included in the book really enhanced the story of following Gaga’s career.
It’s a quick read.
One of the best things about this book is that it won’t take you long to get through. The photos are excellent so that’s what the main draw is here. If you’re a Lady Gaga fan, this book is for you.
