Devis is on a hunt that takes him back to London and the streets that were his beat before he became a Star Cop. He works his way through the city’s underworld seeking information that will lead him to the person he’s after. But others have their own plans, and the outcome may not be what he expects.
Devis, no longer in the police is still looking for his daughter, but his old friends at the Star Cops are working in tandem. High quality fake Ids is the connection.
A predominantly Devis story set on Earth, its a little bit of a spoiler but he does catch up to her but its not just fake ids that are the problem.
I quite enjoyed this, more action than the last instalment and quite a bit going on. Having finally succeeded in tracking down Sophie we get to know a little more about her and what her real motives are.
It is slightly less Star Cops, Kenzy and Nathan are present and you do wonder why they can afford so much time away from the moon. But the arc of this set is Devis and his new found daughter and its interesting, so a little deviation is not bad. And it does have more of a detective feel about it.
Alice has more to do here, I feel she’s not had a lot to do so its nice to have a bit more of her here.
Vid phones are mentioned a few times. Its one of those things thats suggests ‘its the future’ but really its a little unnecessary, I’m not sure of people even say say mobile anymore a phones a phone.
All in all a good release and sets up the finale well.
