this book is one of the best i’ve read in decades. the plot, characters,and overarching message of hope is truly a masterpiece. i was moved nearly to tears multiple times when jon and garfield’s relationship blossoms like a beautiful flower in a springtime field. the joke garfield makes about his adoration for lasagna had me doubled over laughing. he referred to the popular italian dish as lasagnyeahhhhh! the ludicrous tomfoolery and general shenanigans the gang got up to in this thrilling novel was something i will think about for a long time to come. this novel competes strongly with the likes of tolkien and dickens on world building, story, and writing. i would recommend this novel to anybody that reads, anywhere in the world, for this book truly inspired me to be a good person.

The book beautifully depicts how Garfield met Jon, creating a truly touching story. The artwork is impressive, capturing the feeling of a movie cutscene, but with a deeper focus on Garfield’s perspective, which I really enjoyed. One of the highlights is the humor, especially with all the main characters making an appearance at the end. It’s a delightful read for any Garfield fan!
