Well, I’m no longer getting married. Turns out the man who I thought was the star of every wet dream I ever had, was also the star for several others. I should be more torn up by this, but for some reason I’m not. And maybe that’s because I’ve been picturing the wrong man.
Channing Halloway has been my best friend ever since he was traded to the Skipjacks. We crossed the line one time, but I ended up in the friend zone. I never forgot about that night even after he broke my heart. Which sucks even more because I closed my heart off to all relationships which is probably why my engagement failed.
However, when he comes on what was supposed to be my honeymoon, and two pink lines show on a pregnancy test. Well, that’s something we both weren’t prepared for.
I went in blind never reading the first book nor this author so I was a bit leery of what I would be reading, seems almost every book I’ve read has hockey player in them, that never came up in the blurb. Anyways within the first couple of pages I was already hooked on this and can’t wait for what’s coming next. Turmoil, love, sadness, anger, it’s all there. I can’t wait to read the next story and someday I’ll try to get the first book and read them in order.
What would you do if you got played by not one but 2 women claiming they carrying your child and turns out it’s all a lie after months of dedication only to be used? Now what about a 3rd woman pregnant, wouldn’t you be leery too? That’s Channing past, present and future, add to the fact the first two had another guy on the side who were the real fathers. Now the one that he loves and sees himself with is popped, saying the baby is his. Cassidy had doubts of her soon to be husband, a hockey player and a player off the ice, these two have a history that spans from school, on and off again since. Is he cheating still on the night before their wedding? Well Cassie will solve that mystery and she did with proof, even showed said proof as her speaking of her vows. That was some epic humiliation on him. Week later she has a paid surprise honeymoon that the couple were supposed to take. But she took another guy on, only as a friend but these two have a history and the last time they were together, he called her a mistake… was it??? Channing came to a wedding but didn’t watch said wedding since the bride was his one that got away and couldn’t stomach seeing her with the groom so he stayed in the bar and drank, but the bride came out and took his place and took some shots with him. Well that brief encounter will be the week in Mexico with sun and fun , heavy on the fun. That week will be the best and worst and the events afterwards will test these two in a lot of ways Will it work out for Cassie and Channing or will these two be better off as friends or not even talking to one another?????.

Cassidy finds out her fiancé has been cheating on her and confronts him at the alter by showing the video to the entire church. While this is going on, her one time hook up, Channing, is the one she really wanted to be with, he is at a bar drinking instead of attending her wedding. He is commitment shy and although he wants to be with her, told her their one time hook up was a mistake. These two have great chemistry and since Cassidy works for the Hockey organization that Channing plays for, they are constantly around one another. When Cassidy invites him on her paid for honeymoon, the couple reconnects and decides to give it another shot, Channing tells her, he is all in. When they get home, there is so much puck bunny drama and so much miscommunication going on things go from bad to worse. Then to top it off, Cassidy finds out they brought home a surprise gift back from the trip. How is she supposed to tell the man of her dreams about this surprise, when he just got out of puck bunny drama.
Great characters and friendships all around. I like this author's writing style. I hadn't realized I had read the first book in the series as there was a big gap in the release of the two books. Read the first book in the series as you will enjoy it and you also get to catch up with the BFF's from the first book.

What a brilliant story. Channing and Cassidy are best friends after a one night stand. When she bumps into Channing at the bar where the reception was to be, she invites him to go on the honeymoon vacation with her. There, they discover they still have feelings for each other and start a relationship together. Obstacles come up preventing them from being together, but eventually Channing discovers that Cassidy is having his baby. I volunteered to read this ARC for an honest review. I enjoyed this story about Channing and Cassidy. He's a hockey player and she's works in the front office for the hockey team. They are best friends. After a disastrous night of passion, they agree to be friends. But she's the one that got away. Now when her wedding goes to he double hockey sticks, he's there to catch her. They go on her honeymoon together and realize that a second chance is worth the risk. Only a bunny from his past tries to ruin his future. A rollercoaster of emotions and feelings but it's worth the ride.

This is the second story in the "Seattle Skipjacks" series and can be enjoyed as a stand alone read. This one is about Cassidy and Channing. Cassidy is about to get married to her on again and off again boy friend when she catches him on camera, betraying her. She decides to still go through with the marriage but has a plan to expose him for what he is. Channing and Cassidy, were best friends, and shared a night of passion only for him to push her away. Now he is at a bar about to attend her wedding when he catches a women in white. He is hiding something from her but agrees to take the honeymoon trip with her. This is such a good read and captivating read.
Hooking is totally worth the read. The characters, the storyline… just the whole thing is wonderful. The chemistry between not just Cassidy and Channing is felt. But the relationship and chemistry of ALL of characters is well connected. This is the first time I have ever read anything from this author, and I enjoyed this book so much, that I’m going to read Book 1.
Any opinions, recommendations, or suggestions expressed within this review our Solely and uniquely made by me. I originally and voluntarily received in advance copy of this book the Bsprout.
Channing and Cassidy. Her fiancé cheated on her before the wedding. She can prove it she has video. He let her get away because he was afraid of commitment. Lots of emotions. Regret, feelings of inadequacy, reconnecting, honeymoon with the one that got away, breakdown, a big epic breakdown. Loved the rollercoaster of emotions and the honeymoon..dont get me started on the honeymoon and the emotions when they return. Great story well written. Loved this story.

I was excited after I started reading this but got disappointed right away. The guy has serious and I mean serious trust issues and I hated the fact the girl kept taking him back. The guy continuously makes dumb decisions and jump to contusions so easily. Instead of trusting her, he believes anything the gossip panel says and just easily gets rid of the girl every single time. All he needed to do was talk to the girl and it would’ve just been solved. I got really annoyed with both of them really early on and it wasn’t worth it
Channing & Cassidy: Seattle Skipjacks Book 2: One night stand to Friend-zoned to more. Cassidy & Channing go on her honeymoon together since Vincent decided to be a cheater. They give into their desires, but can they make it together for real? Drama rollercoaster headed towards a HEA…. I was captivated from the beginning of this story. It was a great storyline with well developed characters.

I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book. Cassidy is supposed to have the happiest day of her life. Instead she is exposing her cheating husband to be. Leaving the church she finds herself in a bar and her old love is there. Channing was invited to the wedding but couldn't watch Cassidy get married. So she invites Channing to her honeymoon at a resort. This leads them to all kinds of bliss.
The characters of Cassidy and Channing are fantastic. From a hookup - to friends - to another hookup? Or can they be more this time?
Lots of feels. Lots of drama. Puck bunnies, cheating (ex) fiancés, a surprise bundle of joy... they have a lot of twists and turns to overcome. But the ride is amazing.

This is the third book I've read written by Ellie Rae; I can’t wait to read more of her books.
This is the second book in the Seattle Skipjacks Series; it is a stand-alone . The story is about Cassidy & Channing; they’ve been best friends for years; after she catches her fiancé cheating on her the night before the wedding she decides to go on her honeymoon anyway and asks Channing to go with her.
This was Channing and Cassidy’s story. Channing Halloway has been her best friend ever since he was traded to the Skipjacks. They crossed the line one time, but they ended up in the friend zone. She never forgot about that night even after he broke her heart. Which sucks even more because she closed off her heart to all relationships which is probably why her engagement failed. An intriguing read. And am voluntarily leaving this review.
I was so glad that Cassidy kicked Vincent the cheater to the curb which gave Cassidy and Channing a chance for something real since they have had a secret thing for each other for a long time. Your emotions are going to get a work out from their story w/ it's ups, downs and unexpected twists in the plot.
Have enjoyed reading both books in this series and am eagerly waiting for the next. All the characters were fleshed out, even the two conniving puck bunnies that caused so much trouble. I was only sorry they didn’t face any consequences for their actions. Story kept my attention throughout.
Cassidy just broke things off with her fiancée and decided to go on her honeymoon with her best friend, Channing. Channing and Cassidy once shared a hot night together before falling back into the friend zone. Will this getaway be their chance to see what fate has in store for them beyond being friends?
Channing and Cassidy are getting more of a surprise than they were expecting after their one night stand. Their story is a wild ride of emotion, doubt and drama. This was a well developed story with well developed characters. It was a great read!
The twists and turns relationships take can be confusing but it is well detailed in this story. Steamy, sad, frustrating, and romantic, this story kept me hooked.

It's so well written. You can feel all the emotions like you're the one going through it all with the characters. From the first sentence to the very last one, I was a captive audience.
This is book two in this series Seattle Skipjacks. The story flows well, the characters are likeable and have great chemistry. I am looking forward to reading the next installment.
