Walking Dublin : Twenty-Four Original Walks in and Around Dublin

Rate this book
Just three steps in Dublin will forever take your heart. Here journalist Liddy takes the extra step, providing 80 miles of walks in and out of Dublin, ranging from a stroll through the suburbs to the bracing ascent to the Hell Fire Club. For each walk Liddy supplies advice about when to go and how to start, places to stop for refreshments (because a thirst is a terrible thing), easily followed maps (regardless of the refreshment chosen), well-chosen photographs and a number of his own excellent illustrations. Great companion for our honeymoon in Dublin. There is so much to see in this beautiful city, and Pat Liddy's book makes it all possible without having to pay a tour guide. Just make sure you have at least a couple of weeks to do it all. Seven days certainly wasn't enough for us. ; )

Am in the middle of this book in preparation for an excursion. Find Liddy's maps and pictures useful. He seems to have a good eye for history and architecture.
